"What on earth was that ?"
Millie asked me as soon as we went in the location. I shrugged, trying to cough away the horrible feeling in my throat.
Barron walked towards me and hugged me tightly.
"Are you okay ?"
I nodded slowly, resting my chin on his shoulder.
"I'm okay.."

"Adelle, how did you know ?"
I heard one of my friends asking, but I didn't answer them. Mainly because I couldn't focus on anything. I felt so dazed.
How could she do this ?

That day I couldn't focus on anything else.

Later That Night :

We were just about to sleep. I wore my pyjamas, set my bed, and did everything I could think of so I can take my mind of what happened earlier. But it didn't work.

I felt so stupid. What did I think of ?
When Bonnie called me earlier, she told me that she wasn't there that night at the meet and greet. She couldn't have been there. She was being punished by her foster father, and she wasn't allowed to go out.

I didn't believe what I was hearing at first. But then, it all made sense. Yes, Bonnie is weird. But not to the point that she would show up at a public meet and greet, and scare everyone, including my siblings. I just had to be concerned.

While I lied in bed, doing nothing but trying to sleep, I realized that all was keeping me awake was a glass of water. All I needed was water.
I slowly crept out of bed, and put on my slippers, sneaking out of my room as I tried not to wake my siblings up by my clumsiness.

But then, for some reason, I stopped at the top of the staircase.
I felt frozen for a moment. I didn't know why, but I felt something, or someone, watching me. I slowly turned my head to the end of the staircase, glancing at the living room at the far distance.

That's when I saw it.

Our family pets, dog and cat, were lying on the living room floor. Both turned their heads and looked at me at the same time. The two pair of eyes turning yellow as they tilted. I tried to say something, to call my siblings. But I already heard footsteps behind me. Allison gave me a small 'sup' as she walked from behind me.

"What are you staring at ?"
She asked.
"The..dog.."
I tried to say. She glanced at the animals' direction.
"Ugh, they're just animals, Adelle what's your problem ?.."

She started, taking a step forward, but then stopped, shocked.
"What the hell ?! We don't have pets in this house !"
She yelled, running to turn on the closest lights.

And she succeeded.

And when we both looked in the distance, we found nothing but air.

"What.."
I heard two more footsteps walking slowly towards us. Nabil stared at us in confusion, rubbing his eyes gently with his finger.

"What's going on..?"
