Alec went to Magnus' apartment after his wife went to bed after feeding Alexis. Lizzie had given birth 5 days ago, so he had been helping her care for their daughter and working on saving Jace and Clary..

- It's been hundreds of years since you banished your father. What makes you think he'll even listen to your request? - Alec asked when Magnus draw a pentagram to summon Amadeus.

- Let's say he owes me a favor - Magnus told him.

- I don't want to get involved, but does this have anything to do with your mother? - Alec asked him, and his eyes going to the dagger that was lying on the table.

- Yes, but unfortunately he's the only one who can help save Jace - Magnus replied sadly as he looked at Alec.

- Listen, at least give me time to call for backup from the Institute. We don't even have Lilith under control. Another Greater Demon is going to be unleashed, it could put the entire city in danger - Alec noted.

- Fortunately for the good people of New York, my father won't be traveling topside - Magnus said and he stood up after he finished drawing the pentagram.

- What aren't you telling me? - Alec asked suspiciously.

- This pentagram isn't used to summon Asmodeus to Earth. It's used to send someone to Edom. In this case, me - Magnus confessed, and Alec initially thought it was a joke, but when he saw the serious expression on his face he realized it wasn't.

- Absolutely not - Alec argued.

- We need my father's help. And the cell reception down there is terrible - Magnus joked.

- This isn't funny! - Alec shouted.

- This is madness - Alec stated.

- Tell me Jace, you Parabatai and the twin brother of your wife, he isn't worth it - Magnus said and walked up to him. Alec did not answer. - Let's end this - The warlock announced and snapped his fingers with his magic, and the pentagram lit up with fire.

Magnus wanted to enter the pentagram, but Alec grabbed his arm, and he looked at the shadowhunter.

- You will come back. Right? - Alec asked him.

- Why wouldn't I come back? After all, I have to meet my niece - Magnus noticed and entered the pentagram before he cried out in pain and disappeared in the flames.

Alec entered the room and saw a sweet sight. His wife was gently rocking Alexis in her arms and singing her a lullaby. This beautiful sight allowed him to forget about the possessed Jace, Lilith and the lack of information about Clary for a moment.

- How is our daughter? - Alec asked when he approached his wife and kissed her on the lips.

- Today is Very grumpy. She didn't want to eat or have her diaper changed, so she just had to be put to sleep - Lizzie replied and looked with a smile and love at her daughter who had fallen asleep in her arms.

- She's definitely easy to put to sleep - Alec said sarcastically.

- She's stubborn like her parents - Lizzie told him.

- It's true, the little one is already giving us a in bones and she hasn't even started crawling - Alec agreed with her before his phone started ringing.

Lizzie hoped that the ringing of the phone wouldn't wake up her sleeping daughter. Surprisingly, Alexis didn't wake up, which pleased the blonde girl.

- Is it ironic that when I want to sleep, our daughter wakes up, but when the phone rings, she's asleep? - The frustrated blonde girl sighed and put her daughter in her crib.

Then Alec and Lizzie went to their office and turned on speaker mode when they called Maryse and Luke back.

- Hey, my darlings, how's my favorite granddaughter? - Maryse asked, with an audible smile on the other end.

- Lilith is hiding at the address in the building we sent you - Maryse replied to her son.

- Really, of all places in the world she chose a regular building? - Asked Lizzie, surprised, who joined the conversation.

- She's trying to put as many bodies as possible between her and anyone with a mind to stop her. Any word from Magnus? - Luke asked them.

- We might be on our own - Alec sighed.

- I'm sure Magnus is just waiting to make some dramatic entrance? - Maryse asked.

- We hope so, but now I have to call because she and Simon are meeting us there - Lizzie told her. - And to anticipate your question, which you will certainly ask, the doctor allowed me to go on a mission if I do not overexert myself - The blonde girl said, who was sick of everyone's concern.

- Please, Mom, do this for me, Izzy, Max, and Alexis. Let us do the hard work - Alec tried to convince her to change her mind.

- We'll do it, Jace will need you - Luke said to Maryse. There was concern and love in his voice.

Alec hung up and with his wife prepared to mission.

- Simon's been in the building forever. What's taking him so long? - Alec asked impatiently as he, Lizzie, Luke and Izzy waited outside the skyscraper for Simon.

They had taken Alexis to Maryse earlier to take care of her granddaughter while they were supposed to save Clary and Jace from Lilith's power.

- Alec, this is a skyscraper - Izzy told him, and a moment later Simon appeared next to them.

- I'm sorry. I tried to get as close as I could so no one would notice, but my vampire ears couldn't hear Clary inside - Simon told them.

- Lilith must be hiding her location with some kind of charm - Alec said.

- I didn't expect that at all - Lizzie said sarcastically.

- Let's find out - Izzy said before activating the spiritum rune on her hand with her stele.

- What does it do? - Simon asked.

- Spiritum. It allows us to see currents of supernatural energy. So, if we can't see the shark in the ocean... - Lizzie began to explain.

- You can still see the waves it creates - Izzy added and thanks to the rune she could see the waves on the building. - Lilith has portal shields around the perimeter and she redirected the ley lines to the top floor. I've never seen magic that strong - The black haired girl informed them and looked at the then.

- With or without Magnus, we have to get Clary out of there - Alec noticed and looked at each of them individually.

- Look, Lilith will throw everything she has at us, including Jace - Luke stated.

- For the record, I'd rather not vaporize Jace if he tries to kill me, but I can't control how this thing works, or the fact that he'll probably try to kill me during the fight - Simon noted.

- How do we know if she takes the bait? - Izzy asked over the phone after she and Luke entered the building, and Alec preferred Lizzie to be near him.

- Call it a hunch - Alec said before hanging up. He and his wife heard the sound of breaking glass, so they looked up and saw Jace jumping from the top floor to the ground.

- Careful - Jace told them, and Alec notched an arrow and aimed it at Jace. - He's still here - Jace said in a cold tone and stood up, while Lizzie readied their weapons to fight him.

- And he's willing to die for it. I won't hesitate to fulfill that wish - Alec told him and shot an arrow at Jace, and Lizzie threw a dagger at her brother. However, the blonde man caught their weapons in midair and threw them to the ground.

- I could kill yous now with my magic. But I'd rather have Jace watch me tear yous apart with my hands - Possessed Jace stated before he slammed Alec against the wall.

- Leave him alone, monster! - Lizzie shouted. The girl caught the attention of her possessed brother, who probably thought that it would be easier to defeat his sister. However, Lizzie was so angry, so she easily blocked all of her brother's blows and stabbed him in the leg, and then in the arm, causing him to cry out in pain.

Jace got angry when he pulled the dagger out of his arm so pinned her to the wall. Then he started to strangle her with his hands and after a few dozen seconds he let go of her throat. Lizzie fell unconscious to the ground, and Jace plunged the dagger into the blonde's girl right leg and kicked her in the stomach.

-No - Alec said terrified when he looked at Lizzie. Then Jace threw him against the wall and broke his arm, making the black-haired man cry out in pain and fall next to his wife. Then Jace he kicked him in the stomach and raised the dagger.

Alec felt pain all over his body.

- Your boy is crying, you know. He's begging me, begging me not to do this - Jace said and was about to stab Alec, but his Parabatai grabbed Jace by the arm.

- Jace, I know you're there. It's okay. I forgive you - Alec said weakly. - It wasn't you. I'm sorry we couldn't save you - Alec said as Jace drove the arrow deeper into Alec's chest. Alec cried out in pain.

- They say the worst pain a Shadowhunter can feel is losing his parabatai. Come here. It's time for Jace to finally feel it - Possessed Jace said, but he was interrupted by Magnus' appearance.

Lizzie regained consciousness and sat down on the ground. Which made her mistake, because she immediately felt a piercing pain in her leg and a strong dizziness due to the loss of blood.

- By the Angel, how it hurts - Lizzie said with pain and weakened she fell to the ground again and put her hand to the wound to stop the bleeding.

- Alec! Lizzie! - Magnus shouted, who did not want Jace to kill Alec and Lizzie, so he threw a fire ball at the blonde man.

Jace hit the wall and ripped out the black goo. The blonde man freed himself from Lilith's power and was once again the real Jace, not Owl.

- Please, both of you, stay with me! - Magnus shouted to them and ran to Alec and Lizzie.

- Mom said you'd make a dramatic entrance - Alec said to Magnus and he grabbed his wife's hand.

- A wise woman - Magnus stated.

- How are you feeling, honey? - Alec asked his wife.

- My head hurts and I have a wound on my leg that is bleeding, but it doesn't hurt as much as the birth of our daughter - Lizzie replied and looked at her husband.

- Alec! Lizzie!, Magnus, please, you have to help them! - Jace shouted in despair. It didn't take a second before he felt remorse as he ran to the Parabatai and his sister and saw what he had done to them.

Jace pulled the stele out of his sister's jacket pocket and drew the Iratze on her leg. He felt relief when the wound on Lizzie's leg healed.

- Jace - Lizzie said and sat down on the ground, then looked at her brother.

- I'm here - Jace told her and hugged her to him.

- I can't him help - Magnus confessed with helplessness and pain on his face.

- You can't?! What do you mean you can't? - Jace asked him.

- My magic, it's gone. I traded it to break Lilith's control over you - Magnus confessed sadly.

- Jace, it wasn't you - He told Alec Jace as the blonde manactivated Alec's Iratze with Lizzie stele.

- Me and Lizzie will take care of him - Lizzie told Jace.

- I'm going to get Clary - Jace said and put the stele in his twin sister's hand before running into the building to save his beloved.
