A lone yellow chrysanthemum,
Longing to be something more,
Spread out the petals she bore
And beckoned to her fellow blossoms
Hoping they would come.

Crimson zinnias shared the sun
While ivy embraced them in a hug,
Friends with everyone.

The aster and the jasmine
Loved on the little 'mum
While the white of baby's breath
Shared in morning glory's depth
As kind as they come.

Dahlia, basil, and edelweiss
Lifted the group in white and green,
Supporting every flower
To make sure each was seen.

Bittersweet the memories
Carnation made to share,
Happy moments with rosemary
Ever would be there.

"Forget-me-not,"
The 'mum would plead
"Alone I'm but a dot-
Together though, this I know,
You'll all help me suceed."

The flowers came from everywhere,
Grown each in a different walk of life,
Together made a bouquet so fair.
Bluebell, daisy, peony,
Every iris must be there-
For every each one had a role to play
In this beautiful bouquet.
