Walking past Kyotani while he was with some girl, you didn't want your mind to dwell on them so much. You didn't want to think about what they did or what they were doing. Or, why was he even skipping school for her? He's on the volleyball team and should know there would be major consequences if he gets caught. That girl must be important, whoever she was.

As you said to yourself earlier, you made your way to the cafe before heading home as you wanted a snack. After searching around the school for Kyotani for what seemed like forever, your stomach was growling with, feeling the emptiness within. You needed something to eat quickly.

Gently pushing open the door to the cafe, you were welcomed with the strong smell of freshly baked pastries, coffee with a small hint of some tea. It smelled so good and only made you more hungry as you walked over to the register. "Hi, welcome. Is there anything I could get you?" The cashier smiled at you.

"Could I please have two blueberry muffins, a chocolate puff pastry, and a matcha bubble tea?" You kindly asked. The cashier put everything in, setting your order. "That'll be 1000 yen." She kindly said your total. You pulled some spare money from your bookbag and handed it to the cashier. Walking away from the ordering station, you found a secluded area where you could sit while you ate.

It was the perfect spot. The table was all the way in the back corner, located near the window where you could watch cars and people pass by on the street. Placing your bag down on the cold floor, you sat down and just waited for your order to be called. There wasn't much you could do while you waited.

You could scroll on your phone, but that was boring. You could look around at the cafe, but there wasn't much to look at since you've been in here hundreds of times before. And then you could just stare out the window, but at the moment, the street was dead silent. "Excuse me, ma'am, your order is ready!"

Standing up from the small table, you casually walked over to the counter and grabbed your things. "Thank you so much." You smiled. "Have a nice day." The cashier smiled back before turning away from you to do other tasks. You were excited to finally have some of the bubble tea you ordered. Plus, you were thirsty from all the walking around.

A sigh of satisfaction left your lips as you took a sip. "I need to order this more often." You shamelessly spoke to yourself, sitting back down in your seat. The cafe was quiet, you were the only one here at the moment. You didn't mind it though, it was nice having the place to yourself after being in school all day.

Calm, quiet music played over speakers, just loud enough for you to hear though. And once again, the cafe smelled delicious, the scent lingering in your nose every time you took a deep breath. This place was always your favorite to come to. The drinks and pastries were so delicious, you just couldn't get enough. No other place in town could compare to this one.

So caught up in fawning over the cafe and its tasty food and drinks, you didn't even realize another person had walked into the cafe. Your mind was completely blank. "Hi, welcome. Is there anything I can get you?" The cashier said their usual question as they took the person's order.

Being nosey, you looked up and tried to see if you could recognize the person ordering. The blonde hair was a dead giveaway already. Really? Did he have to be here? Didn't he have practice? You were hoping he didn't come here to talk to you or pester you. God, was he annoying. Why'd you ever try to become friends with him? Not to mention, you had sex with him? It wasn't something you didn't want to think about.

"Alright, here's your order. Have a nice day." The cashier spoke again. You had the mindset that if you weren't looking at him, then he wouldn't notice you. And you were praying that's what was gonna happen. If you just stare down at your phone long enough then he'll leave you alone. But that wasn't the case.

The chair across from you, squeaked loudly as it pulled out from under the table. It made you cringe as the metal scratched on the floor. Still looking down at your phone, you continued to ignore him. You knew it was him. Who else would it be? Plus, he wasn't speaking, which is something he does very often.

The tension was thick. Too thick. You could practically feel his eyes burrowing their way inside of your head as he stared at you. He didn't make a sound. He didn't move. But you could feel his eyes on you. They were everywhere. "Meeting someone here?" He mumbled. What was he talking about? Meeting someone? "Nope." You answered without looking at him, taking a bite of your food.

"Sure about that?" He questioned you, almost to make you feel uneasy if you were lying to him. But you weren't lying to him so what was up his ass? "I'm one hundred percent positive. Now, why are you here?" With that question, you slowly looked up from your phone and up to him, his eyes already staring back at you. Narrowed and dark. They were intimidating in a way.

"Because I can be. Why are you here?" He snapped back at you, picking up the pastry he bought and aggressively taking a bite out of it. "Can you have some manners for once? Jeez." You rolled your eyes, looking away from him. "I'll eat however I want to." He talked with his mouth full, his eyes still staring at you. "You're so annoying. You're bothering me, Kyotani."

"Good. I don't care." He quickly swallowed his food, wasting no time in taking another huge bite of it. "I just wanted to have a relaxing time by myself and here you come. Don't you have practice?" You said through gutted teeth, becoming agitated at the sight of him. "Coach kicked me out of practice for today because I skipped school and was late." He shrugged. "You're lucky you didn't get kicked off the team." You mumble.

"Shut up." Kyotani plainly spoke, the words rolling off his tongue so smoothly. "You shut up. You immature ass wipe." You quickly retorted. "Bitch." He quickly responded. "Dickhead!" You slightly shouted, leaning closer to him. "Brat!"

Annoyance washed over your body. Before you lashed out at him in public, you quickly recollected yourself and grabbed your things. You couldn't stand him right now. "Sit down." He sternly demanded, staring up at you. "Who are you to tell me to do anything? Mr. Lover boy kisses me one day and runs out of my house, only to find out he's hanging with another girl. You should worry about your own decisions instead of mine."

Kyotani stared at you with wide eyes. But not because he was surprised, it was because he was starting to get angry. Was he mad because you were right and he was wrong? Or was he mad that you were leaving? What was it? "I'm so glad this school year is coming to end so I don't have to see you anymore."

"Yeah? Me too!" You smiled at him. Kyotani watched as you walked past him, the bell above the door ringing as you walked out. He just sat there, still continuing to eat his food, watching you cross the street.
