aro first came across the young girl in 1000ab. she was merely eighteen, and though she was young she was wise beyond her years.

adaline was the village's healer. she worked with herbs to heal the sick and injured. she worked wonders, some might say.

but she also seems to possess the strange ability to feel what those around her felt, something aro had picked up in when he had come across her.

intrigued, he slaughtered her entire village and when she returned, he offered her immortality and if she were to no, then death would fall upon her.

so she chose immortality.

centuries later, adaline has grown bored with her life.

she has grown bored with the violence and the murder.

so, with determination in her eyes and a resolve to do just about anything to be rid of the vulturi, she runs to the only vampire she knew that just may be able to help...

๋࣭⭑⚝ aro has shielded her from the world for the most part, she's been taught only the things aro deemed important or necessary for a lady to know - art and literature. but nothing else about the human world.

๋࣭⭑⚝ adaline and carlisle know each other from his time with the volturi, she trusts him

๋࣭⭑⚝ she has a hard time adapting to the vegetarian diet

๋࣭⭑⚝ emmett nicknames her addy, he's the most chill about her being there. the first to treat her like a normal vampire, and not the princess. if/when she attends school she's goes by addison, a name emmett picked out from her

๋࣭⭑⚝ i don't really have a timeline for this, so this can take place before twilight or during any of the movies, or it can even take place after breaking dawn, you can choose.

๋࣭⭑⚝ emmett is the first one she gets close to

๋࣭⭑⚝ aro often used her when they held trails, she used her gift to help with the ruling

๋࣭⭑⚝ she used to enjoy the lifestyle, at least in the first several years after she turned. she found it exhilarating but as the years went on, and the more vampires or humans she met - ones on trial - the less and less she liked her existence

๋࣭⭑⚝ she's planned to run away for years, but she never had the guts to do it until she had finally had enough

๋࣭⭑⚝ when with the volturi, aro demanded that she wore lavish gowns. she spent most of her existence in intricate, beautiful gowns that were special made by a taylor. when aro found a taylor that he liked, he turned her so they wouldn't have to find more

๋࣭⭑⚝ she was merely a pawn, aro often used her as the face of the volturi. it made vampires trust them more, made them seem a little more approachable since she was a young, beautiful girl

๋࣭⭑⚝ she has her own throne among the volturi, but she doesn't sit with them. she has her own raised platform to the side of the marble room where they live

๋࣭⭑⚝ she's never been around humans much, unless to kill them so she doesn't know how to act around them

๋࣭⭑⚝ she doesn't know that shapeshifters exist, one of the many things aro kept from her

๋࣭⭑⚝ got the idea for the title because edward says that he's soul is basically damned, and i essentially see adaline seeing herself and the entire vampire race that way, at least until she gets to know the cullens better

๋࣭⭑⚝ she's never been with anyone sexually, aro said it wasn't appropriate for her to take part in such endeavours

๋࣭⭑⚝ she knows very little of the world, so she would definitely come off as dumb and ditzy, especially at first, but she's really smart and she loved to learn new things

๋࣭⭑⚝ she takes a liking to video games pretty quickly, though she's terrible at them

๋࣭⭑⚝ she talks very regal, and it's clear that she's old. emmett things it cool, they way she talks and the words she uses.

๋࣭⭑⚝ don't be afraid to have her kill at least a few people, she is learning how to be different and it is a process

๋࣭⭑⚝ she's never turned anyone, but i'm not opposed to the idea of her turning someone eventually

๋࣭⭑⚝ she and rosalie bond over wanting kids and not being able to have them, they become best friends. rosalie also helps her with her wardrobe, helping her dress to fit in

๋࣭⭑⚝ i do have a prologue written, i will gladly share it with you and you can feel free to use it and tweak it as you see fit. or you don't have to use it at all

๋࣭⭑⚝ she's very strong willed and determined, she's headstrong. and she'll do whatever it takes to get what she wants

๋࣭⭑⚝ she's terrified that aro will find her

๋࣭⭑⚝ i don't really have a plan on how it would go if aro were to find her, so you can totally do what you'd like and what you feel like would happen
