Barry made his way to Jitters in hopes that both Iris and Haylee would be there, but he stopped in the doorway noticing Iris but not Haylee. Iris turned her head to see Barry standing by the door, she did a double-take to make sure he was actually there. "Oh, my God. You're awake," Iris spoke as she pulled him into a hug. "Why didn't S.T.A.R Labs call us?" Iris asked him as she pulled away from him.

"I just woke up," Barry informed her with a smile. "Should you even be on your feet?" Iris asked though she wasn't too worried considering he seemed okay. "Iris, I'm okay," Barry kept his usual smile on his face as he looked at the girl he considered his sister. "I watched you die, Barry. You kept dying. Your heart kept stopping," Iris spoke softly as she fought the urge to cry. "It's still beating," Barry spoke before resting Iris' hand on his heart.

"Feels really fast," Iris asked in concern. Barry looked up as the room slowed down, one of the waitresses dropped some glasses causing them to shatter. Barry furrowed his brows in confusion before looking back to Iris, brushing off the fact that everything seemed to have slowed down for him. "My dad is gonna be so happy to see you," Iris said before smirking and poking Barry's chest, "And so will Haylee~" She sang out Haylee's name as Barry blushed.

"Let me just get my stuff, okay? Be right back," Iris spoke before making her way behind the counter, Barry looked around again before letting out a breath. Iris smiled as she approached him again, the two of them heading to the CCPD where Iris knew both Joe and Haylee were. They spoke about a few different things from the time that Barry was struck to before he had woken up, Iris made sure to emphasize any points revolving around Haylee.

"Oh, you scared the hell out of us, kid," Joe said as he pulled Barry into a hug. "Yeah, that was quite the nap you took there, babyface, and you still look 12," An officer teased as he walked past the two. "You look okay," Joe says after he chuckled at the comment, Barry shook his head at the comment. "Are you really?" Joe asked, he needed to know for sure. "Yeah," Barry nodded. "Detective West, we've got a 5.15 in progress at Gold City Bank, two dead," An officer informed Joe.

Joe sighed as he looked down before looking back at Barry. "Storm's really picking up on the Southside. I'd grab your rain gear," Another officer added. "I'm sorry, Barry. I got to run," Joe said before clapping Barry on the back. "Do you need my help?" Barry asked as he turned to watch Joe walk away. "No, you take it easy. There'll be plenty for you to do once you settle in and take your job back," Joe said looking back at Barry with a smirk.

"Let's go partner," Joe looks to Eddie and nods before walking away. "Hey, Allen. Glad to see you," Eddie spoke with a smile. "Thanks, Eddie," Barry nodded to Eddie. "Hey, Iris," Eddie said to Iris with a smoother tone that Barry noticed. "Detective, you should go. My dad doesn't like to be kept waiting," Iris responded dejectedly, Eddie nodded and followed after Joe. Barry looked up and saw a tribute photo of Joe's previous partner.

"The night of the explosion, Clyde Mardon shot and killed Chyre. Mardon and his brother died trying to escape. Their plane crashed," Iris explained to Barry. "Iris, got a minute?" An officer pulled Iris aside. Barry looked up and noticed a guy reaching for an officer's gun, in the blink of an eye, he raced over and cuffed the man before returning to his original spot. "Screw you!" The man shouted as the officers got a better hold on him.

"So, I really think you should go see who is in your lab," Iris said as she approached Barry before noticing the look on his face. "Are you okay?" Iris asked him but Barry shrugged it off for the moment. "Yeah, who is in my lab?" Barry asked but Iris just smirked at him before walking away. Barry furrowed his brows before making his way up the stairs to his lab, greeting some officers before opening the door to reveal a familiar set of brunette locks.

Haylee was busy testing some DNA she found at a crime scene when footsteps caught her attention. "If that's you Captain Singh, no I haven't got the results yet. I'm not a fast as Barry with these results," Haylee spoke not bothering to turn around. "Well, it's a good thing I'm back then," Barry said causing Haylee to freeze in place, she swallowed dryly before standing up straight and turning around.

She couldn't believe her eyes, standing in front of her was Barry Allen. He was awake and he looked healthy and alive, Haylee was stunned. Before she knew it, her legs were moving and she jumped up into Barry's arms causing him to stumble back slightly. Everything slowed down again for him allowing him to adjust his grip on her as she basically wrapped her legs around his torso, resting her head in the crook of his neck.

The action caused Barry's already fast-paced heart to pick up, going faster as his stomach filled with butterflies. Haylee took in a deep breath, Barry's natural scent catching her attention and she was scared that she was dreaming. "Are you actually here because if you aren't... and-and I'm just dreaming again... I swear I will lose my mind and punch your comatose face," Haylee threatened but Barry couldn't help but laugh despite the blush covering his face.

"I'm here, Hayles. I'm really here," He assured her. She sighed happily as they just held each other in silence, Barry's entire being was swooning over the moment while Haylee was thanking whatever Gods or Goddesses are out there for bringing back her best friend. "Oh, uh..." Haylee finally realised the situation and Barry helped her down. "Are you sure you are okay?" Haylee asked, her doe eyes full of concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Really, I am," Haylee smiled at Barry's words before the machine began beeping catching their attention. "Oh crap!" Haylee said before rushing over to the machine and pulling the paper from it. "I was right! Damn, Eddie owes me a twenty now," Haylee cheered before looking up at Barry who was smirking. "I gotta get this to Captain Singh but you and I will be doing a movie night, you've got a lot to catch up on!" Haylee smiled before kissing Barry's cheek.

As she turned, she accidentally knocked some vials which caused Barry to turn his head. Everything slowed down again for him as he quickly caught the vials before they could spill over Haylee, he placed them back safely on the desk away from the edge before reaching out and grabbing Haylee before she could fall. "Whoa, huh..." Haylee looked from the vials to Barry with furrowed brows. "But, uh..." Haylee stuttered out.

Barry cleared his throat and stepped back from Haylee, she lifted her head to him and raised a brow. "Are you okay?" She questioned him noticing the expression on his face. "I... I just need some air," Barry spoke softly before heading out of the room leaving Haylee standing there confused as she looked from the vials to the door. Finally shaking her head, she made her way to Captain Singh's office with the DNA results, a smile gracing her face as she remembered that Eddie now owed her a twenty.
