Johnny D is back. Its been a headache for Barba who has calling Peña to rant about it to her for days. Especially this morning when he got her coffee on her way to work. The case has been a big pain in the ass for Rafa.

"Hey hey!" Rollins hollers as Peña walks in. "Slept in sleeping beauty?"

"Barba kept me away, talking about the Johnny D thing." She goes to her desk, putting away her bag and coat away. "Liv here?"

"In the office." The team were getting suspicious of Peña's daily visits with Liv. Not even Sonny knew. He asked about the talk she had with her and all she said it was nothing to worry about.

"Hi! Got a second?" Peña walks in.

"Please, come in." She closes the door. "So?"

"I thought about it..." Peña smiles. "Im willing to give it another shot. Im ready to take the test this week, my exam day is Wednesday, since the deadline is Friday." Liv smiles. "I don't want any special treatment or favors, let me redo the exam and we can see from there."

"Well, im glad." Liv stands up. "You will do amazing things here as Sargent."

"I hope. Its a new start for me, hopefully all goes well."

"Well I wish you luck on the exam."

"Same to you, Lieutenant." Jocelyn winks as she leaves the office.

Jocelyn sat in the break room during her little break, reading, more like refreshing her memory, for the exam. She highlighted the pages, sipping on her coffee.

"Whats this?" Sonny sits next to her, taking a peek.

"Just refreshing the old mind." Sonny takes the book from her hand. He smirks. "Go on, say it."

"Sargent Jocey Peña." He says aloud, Jocelyn shushes him, wanting to keep his voice down. "It does have a nice ring to it."

"Don't say anything, im going to take the exam and we will see where I land."

"You did this before?"

"I was on the top three at my old place." Jensen was just below it.

"Well, if you need a study partner, im here. I can help."

"I bet you can." She smiles, taking back to the book. "You will be expecting a call from me." They went out of the room and head back to the bullpen.

"Oh good, you're all here." Liv walks in. "So i just met with Barba, the judge threw out Johnny D's motion. So it looks like we'll be going to trial in a few days." Hooray for trial time.

"Youre not going to testify, are you?" Amaro asks Liv.

"I have to. I was first one on scene."

"Yeah if Barba doesn't call you, the defense definitely will. They're going to try and cast shade on you." Carisi tells her.

"Still say we should've shot him." Jocelyn points at Fin, who made a point.

"If we did, none of this would've happened." Jocelyn sips her coffee.

"Okay guys." Rollins stops them.

"So Barba needs to schedule prep time with all of you. He also wants to assign each of us to one of the witnesses."

"So bodyguards?"

"No, more as confidants... so they know that we're looking our for them. Also we can let Barba know if anyone gets shaky." The group takes off, but Liv calls in Amaro to her office. But once he came out, nothing but hatred filled his eyes when looking at Peña. She didn't notice him, not the angry glances or the ignoring all the way to Sing Sing. They were partnered up talking to Selena. They tried to get her to testify but she had said nothing.

"Screw you, I want to see my son again." She tells them.

"After you testify, right? Thats the deal." Amaro assured her.

"After I testify, ill be dead."

"We won't let that happen Selena. We are going to protect you." Jocelyn taps her fingers on the table, looking at Selena, who rolled her eyes at her.

"I don't believe you."

"For your son. Think about that." Jocelyn tells her, giving her one final thought. She nods. Shes in. Amaro and Jocelyn left as they finished with Selena. He bumps into Jocelyn, shocking her as he didn't apologize or anything. So she brushed it off. Probably didn't mean to.

Once back at the station, Jocelyn goes for coffee in the break room, once again Amaro bumps into her, spilling the hot drink on the ground. Nothing was said. That was it for her. The silence ride to Sing Sing and back to the station. The eye roll when she steps in the room or even spoke.

"Hey!" The loud voice caught everyones attention. "Do we have problem?" She shakes her head.

"No." Amaro brushes her off.

"How about you man up, stop acting like a child. We both are grown. Something is bothering you." Amaro stops, licks his lips and turns to her.

"How about we calm down, yeah?" Rollins steps in.

"Yeah, we don't want to say anything we will regret." Sonny pulls Jocelyn away as Rollins did the same to Amaro.

"No." Jocelyn takes her arm back. "Say it Amaro." She eyes him down. Honestly this was the first time anyone here has seen her this scary. The stare, the way she tilts her head. She meant business.

"Now you act all tough." He laughs. "All because you been here less, you can take over?"

"The hell do you mean?"

"Tucker said that you are a better choice than me." The damn sargent exam. Jocelyn looks away from him, unbelievable. "Im trying to turn my life around-"

"Im sorry, did you want me to start telling you what im going to do with my life? This job Amaro, its if you want it, you take it. You don't wait. Once i got my opening, i went in, Im sorry that Tucker said that you aren't a good choice, but don't you get mad at me for it." She pointed at him, angry and all. "Its not my fault." Amaro took a moment to think, Shes right. it wasn't her fault. The way that Liv said that Tucker said Peña had a better shot because of his performance here, it got to him and he just wanted someone to be angry at. "The next time you want to be a child, bumping into me and ignoring me, just know that i don't care. Just know if you are doing that, maybe you aren't meant to be a Sargent. I get my stuff done, with or without you." Jocelyn walks away from him. Everyone cuts the thick air by going back to work.

"Woah." Rollins said to Sonny as Amaro walked off. "Sweet lil Jocelyn has shown us her dark side."

"Im a bit scared. I don't want to piss her off."

"Pray and hope you dont."

After the whole situation with Pilar lying on the stand, it was time to take it up a notch. They brought back in Ariel and a few others back to stand against Johnny D. It could be their last shot.

Jocelyn sat in the gallery, sitting by Sonny and Rollins. She heard all the stories, their stories. Her eyes went to Johnny D, after making the girls lives living hell and especially toying with Benson, she wanted to hurt him.

"Liar!"

"Youre a lying bitch!" Girls start shouting. The judge had called the officers to take them out until Johnny D flips the table, runs to the officer pulling her gun and holding her hostage. Jocelyn stands up, taking her gun and pointing at him.

"Drop the gun! Let her go!" Amaro shouts.

"Everybody back off!" Johnny starts shooting, he shot the judge, officers and went out back. Amaro goes after him.

"Nick!" Jocelyn runs after him, two bullets went off,

"Jocelyn!" She runs into the small hallway, pointing her gun at Johnny D. Amaro was on the floor, bleeding.

"Drop the gun! Let her go!" Jocelyn shouts. Johnny didn't listen, he shoots the officer, shoots Jocelyn and thats when she made her shot, she shot him, two in the chest. Jocelyn watches his body drop and she runs to kick the gun out of his hand. "Nick!" She goes back to him, she sees the man unconscious. "Come on Nick!" She held pressure on his lower side. "Officer down! I need a bus! Gunshot wound on lower side and knee!" She cries out. "Come on Nick, stay with me." Sonny and Fin ran in. Sonny runs to her side. The paramedics got to Nick, taking over. She looks at her bloody hands, watching them take him away. Sonny was talking to her and she looks at him confused. He reaches to move her hair out of her face and sees blood. She got shot in the ear.

One of the paramedics tended to Jocelyn, taking her and Sonny to Bellevue. She kept hearing a ring sound, annoyed her. The doctors start stitching her up.

"Nothing damaging to her ear, just a chunk of it came off." The doctor told Sonny as he stayed with her. "Her hearing will come back, just give it a few hours." He nods.

"Thanks Doc." Sonny sees Joceyln frowning, playing with her fingers, the rings. "Hey." He held her hands. "Youre okay. You got lucky."

"What?" She shouts. Sonny laughs a bit.

"I said-" He shakes off, not worth it.

"Hows Amaro!? Is he okay?!"

"Hes in surgery!" He yells back at her, she could hear a little bit. "You are insane going after him!"

"And leave him!? No!" Tucker and Liv comes in, Sonny starts to tell them about Jocelyn's injury and left.

"Im gonna take you home!" He helps her out and headed home, staying with her for a bit to see if her hearing came back.

Barba and Jocelyn headed to Liv's place for the celebration of Noah's adoption. Barba waits for her as she races to get ready.

"We are going to be late!" Barba tells her to speed up.

"Ya!" She walks with Noah's gift.

"Don't forget your hearing aid." Rafael jokes.

"Oh so youre a comedian now, huh?" Jocelyn locks her door and they head to the car. "My pain is not for your amusement Rafa. I can still hear the buzzing sometimes."

"I had to slide it in there." They made it. They head up and were welcomed by Liv.

"Thanks for coming guys!" She hugs them both. Sonny sees that they came together. He's aware, she told him that Barba asked her to go with him.

"We wouldve been here earlier but someone forgot to charge their hearing aids." Rafa jokes again, earning a few chuckles.

"Seriously?" Jocelyn rolled her eyes.

"Give her a break Barba, its been two weeks. Shes just not used to wearing one." Fin joins.

"Seriously, you too!" Jocelyn walks away with Sonny as they got to hold Noah. "Please don't tell me you have jokes too."

"I would never." He smiles. Jocelyn laughs at Noah, congratulating him to the family. Sonny didn't take his eyes away from the woman with natural curly hair right next to him. She looked beautiful with her natural hair.

"Good because im starting to like you." She wrinkles her nose when she looks at him. The way she said that she's starting to like him made Carisi feel like a teenager. Happy, excited to have his crush even notice him. "Itll be a shame if you got to my bad side." Yeah. This woman is what Dominic Carisi wants. He has fallen for Peña.

"I will do whatever it takes to stay on your side." Jocelyn starts to turn red, her cheeks burning. Damn you Carisi. Damn you.
