What is a Soulmate?

Noun: a person ideally suited to another as a close friend or romantic partner.

The notion of "soulmate" implies that there is but one person in the universe who is your match, one person in creation who completes you – whom you will recognize in a flash of lightning.

Concept

A soulmate is someone that gets you. It's a connection of minds, mutual respect, and unconditional love, and total understanding. It's about being yourself and knowing, not only that person is following and understanding your thoughts but is right there with you, side by side. 

You can be far in Southern Africa in this soulmate universe, but FATE is destined for you to be a match to your other half in Asia. FATE decides on race, color, creed, religion, age, or gender and melts soulmates together in one melting pot.

Love is the bomb. It's an amazing feeling to be so happy and comfortable with a person, especially when those feelings are reciprocated. But, how do you know if your soulmates? (other is the one), if they're...your soulmate? While many people don't believe in a "soulmates-system," it is nice to think that there is someone out there who is ideally matched for you. Wondering if they are the perfect match? There are signs the true connection-string

 1. You know it. ( Awareness and Half -bonding  or before activation )

You have to feel in your gut that this person is the right one for you. You should feel energized by their presence, comfortable enough to open up completely, and just giddy with love. Tinkling or burning of your soul mark if your marks are close ( 1-2m away)

2. They're your best friend. ( Awareness, before activation)

A friendship is the best foundation for any relationship. You can be friends but it will not be the case always. Intense hatred ( animosity, enemies, etc)

3. You feel a sense of calm when around them. ( Awareness, before or after activation)

 being with them should make you feel at home and at peace. Of course, there will probably be butterflies and nerves at first, but it should just feel natural after you get comfortable with each other.

4. You have extreme empathy for them. (before or after activation-  shown in red-gold strings)

Seeing them upset upsets you, but conversely, you share in each other's happiness. You share emotions.

 5. You respect each other. (Awareness, before or after activation)

A relationship is nothing without respect. Your soulmate should regard your feelings and ideas, not write them off. They should appreciate and love you and always treat you well.

6. You balance each other out. ( red-gold // blue string)

You don't have to be a replica of your soulmate to be soulmates. You two can have different temperaments, upbringings, and backgrounds and still be meant for each other. The important part comes when you see how you two, as very different people, come together. Does your chill nature compliment their anxious demeanor? Does your love for environmentalism match well with their interests in engineering? Are they the ying to your yang?

7. You agree about the important things. ( red-gold// blue strings)

You may never be able to decide what TV show to watch together or what toppings to get on the pizza, but when it comes to the important things in life, you're totally on the same page.

8. You share the same life goals. ( red gold)

Speaking of the important things...when it comes to life goals, soulmates have similar plans. It can be different, or the same career or soulmate wants to go to the same college. Soulmates agree on where they want to end up after college or whether soulmates want to start a family. There will be disagreements, but soulmates agree on the big stuff. That's a pretty good predictor for long-term happiness with a soulmate.

A successful marriage needed to be about more than economic or social compatibility. It required a spiritual connection.

9. You challenge each other. ( all strings)

Your soulmate should bring out the best in you, which means pushing you a little to become the best you can be. Yes, you should admire and respect your soulmate and who they are, but soulmates should also motivate each other to reach their goals, try a little harder when they need a nudge, and aid with their personal development. Relationships are all about growth, and soulmates help each other grow together.

10. You can be yourself. ( all strings- but can truly be seen in red gold)

There's no faking it when it comes to your soulmate. You can be yourself around them, and you know they'll love you for you. You share your guilty pleasures, your weird quirks, your deepest secrets, and you know it will just make them love you more.

11. You fight for the relationship. ( red-gold// blue)

Relationships aren't always easy, even between soulmates, but soulmates work hard for their relationship. This often means compromising, working on yourself, or talking through issues. Maybe your jealousy has become a problem soulmate needs to talk about it... The fact that soulmates are showing that they are willing to take these steps is a sign you're true soulmates. It is difficult to reject the red-gold string. You will always feel empty and incomplete, which has hazardous effects.

12. You understand each other's emotional languages. ( extreme in red-gold cases//  blue strings)

It is your love language. There are five different love languages, AKA how you experience love. Maybe, your love language is Words of Affirmation, so it means so much to you when your soulmates. It tells you how much they love you. On the other hand, their love language might be Physical Touch, so they like to show their love with cuddles. There could be a disconnect if you don't feel loved because you do not hear it 24/7. A soulmate can be with someone who has a different love language than them. Soulmate needs to understand the ways that both express love and what to expect from each other.

13. You're each other's biggest fans or cheerleaders. ( All strings)

Your soulmates should be rooting for each other constantly and vice versa. Their wins are your wins, meaning when they hear big news, you're just as excited as they are. If seeing your soulmate happy makes you happy, that's something special.

14. You feel each other's pain, sadness, joy, or love. ( red-gold)

On the other hand, when something not so great happens to your soulmate, you're just as sad. If they get rejected from their dream school, you may as well have gotten rejected too. You want the best for your soulmate, so if they get bad news, you feel it just as much. Soulmates can sense each other's emotions on a deeper level even when far away from each other.

15. There's intense chemistry. ( red-gold)

 Sometimes soulmates  feel like they can't keep their hands off each other, but soulmates are also very respectful of each other's boundaries. This is a perilous situation if the soulmates with this string are newly bonded. They can be unaware of the effects of the string even when looking deep into the eyes of each other, and they have a natural pull to touch, like kissing or engage more intimately with each other.

16. You're there for each other. ( all strings)

Yes, being in a relationship is a lot of fun, but soulmates are there in good times and in bad, meaning when you're going through something tough, you know you can count on your soulmate to be there with you through it all. Friendship string ( yellow)  also feel the need to be in each other's lives, root and support each other even after being registered as Tarnished. 

17. You're secure in the relationship. ( red-gold)

It's normal to get jealous, but soulmates. should have 100% trust. No one will get in between you two, so your soulmates. Can go off and hang with friends, maybe go to a party you have to miss, and you know nothing will happen. It is difficult for a soulmate of the red gold string to find others remotely romantically or sexually attractive. They yearn and long for their true mates' presence, their love, their touches, etc. 

18. You want to be around each other. (red-gold)

A soulmate doesn't always feel the need to plan elaborate dates (though you do that too), just being around each other is the best. A soulmate can sit in silence and feel each other's presence, and it lifts you. They constantly crave for each other and almost can't function without each other for a long period. A bond can be settled in more than four hours, at least a day. Soulmates can then be apart for more weeks but less than 30 days. After 30 days, it becomes hazardous.

Several centuries before Coleridge, the Greek philosopher Plato, in his text "Symposium," wrote about the reasons behind the human yearning for a soulmate. Plato quotes that all humans were once united with their other half, but Zeus split them apart from fear and jealousy. The transcendent experience of two soulmates reuniting in the following way:

"And when one of them meets with his other half, the actual half of himself ... the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy, and one will not be out of the other's sight, as I may say, even for a moment."

Christianity

The Bible never mentions the word "soulmate", but from the text, it's clear that your biblical "soulmate" is simply the person you choose to marry. This marriage bond is what the Bible calls a "one-flesh" relationship (Matt. 19:4-6; cf. ... Your biblical "soulmate" is just the person you commit to.

So your 'soul mate' was with you when God formed you, as Genesis 2:22 says, "the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man." but you guys separated when you manifested in the physical and at God's timing you will be reunited.

Hinduism.

The Physical & Spiritual Concept of Soulmates in Hinduism. How many times have we heard people in books and movies and even real-life go on about that one true connection with their "Soulmates"? The possibility of finding someone who shares the same outlook on life and living seems surreal.

Buddhists

It describes someone who helps you lead a life that serves a higher purpose. "Buddhists believe that we're reborn an infinite number of times and that relationships can carry over from one lifetime to the next.
