𝟙𝟝

As I stood in the basement of our estate, I found myself mesmerized by a sword for over an hour. It was beautiful, blue like the sea, adorned with ice. It looked like a magical sword, hanging alone on the wall, surrounded by other objects, but none captured my interest like this sword did. I couldn't look away. Something about this sword drew me to it, but I didn't know what.

I stared at it, feeling like it was calling out to me, "Hey, pick me up, I just want to be wielded by you."

With a step forward, I reached out my hand towards it. It pulsed against my skin upon contact, but I didn't withdraw my hand. Instead, I seized it. It felt like a summoning, holding this sword. The air grew windy, my hair flying around, and the sword began to glow. But it stopped abruptly, and I looked at it in surprise. A sword holster appeared at my hip, startling me. It seemed as if the sword regarded me as its owner. Strangely, I had never noticed this sword before.

How long had it been in the basement? And most importantly, who did it belong to?

I would have liked to ask my father, but I didn't want to speak to that sack of potatoes; my mental health is too precious. I swung the sword back and forth. It was light, thin as a feather, beautiful as the blue sky, and sharp and dangerous like a venomous snake. It left a trail of ice dust as I swung it. Somehow, it seemed to amplify my energy.

I was truly amazed by this sword. I looked at it again, and my reflection stared back at me from the blade. I placed it in the holster, but the sword disappeared. I panicked and instinctively touched the area where the holster should be, and it reappeared. I was as happy as a child who just got chocolate.

"Wow, this sword knows when I need it and appears without me having to carry it. I have to show this to Yuta!"

I left the basement happily. I had actually gone down to reread the old books, but I got distracted. Somehow, the sword also seemed familiar to me.

 Am I lost?

Kaya came towards me. "Miura-chan, have you eaten?"

I pinched her cheeks. "Of course, sweetie but you should have bought me some mochis you know this is my favorite food! ."

she waved her hand "Yes, yes, another time"

She looked at me surprised suddenly, and I looked at her questioningly.

She narrowed her eyes, pondering. "Something is different..."

I raised my eyebrows.

 "Is it my presence?"

 She snapped her fingers.

 "No, you've got bigger breasts!"

I looked at her dumbfounded and sighed, "Well, whatever."

I walked past her, still hearing her say, "Huh, what's up with her?"

It means the sword doesn't allow my presence or, rather, my aura to change. Well, that's better for me. I went to the exit and saw my father there. I almost turned around, but he noticed me.

 "Miura!"

I looked at him coldly, "Yes, father?"

He smiled at me, and that was the first time. I froze.

WTF?

He can smile; otherwise, I always saw his stony expression that would freeze anyone.

"Come here, my child."

He said it so kindly that I hesitated, shocked. I hesitated but approached him slowly.

Is my father really changing, or is it just a facade?

I stood beside him, gazing at the lotus flowers growing in our garden.

"I was worried; you haven't come home for days."

 I didn't look at him.

"Yeah... I had a lot to do."

He nodded understandingly. Normally, he would have scolded me. He took a step towards me, but my body instinctively took a step back. I cursed my body for showing weakness. I didn't want to show him that he had scared me when I was little, and my body still wasn't used to it.

He stopped abruptly and looked at the ground, smiling, "I understand."

There was a brief silence, and then he continued, "Urahara had summoned you."

I looked surprised, "Oh, then I should go."

Without another word, I left, passing him. Only now did I notice how old he had become. How fragile.

Actually, I could repay him for everything he had done to me, but would it change the past? No.

I went outside and teleported to the place where Gojo had warned me, "Don't take any missions from them." (flashback)

 I scoffed.

Why should I listen to him?

The doors opened. Urahara sat at his desk as usual, holding files in his hand.

 "Ah, Miura, you're here."

I looked at him skeptically and entered the room. The other elders were not there today.

"Urahara, how can I serve as a puppet for you this time?" I looked at him with a deathly gaze.

He laughed and raised his arms, "But, but, don't look at me like that; it wasn't my intention to put you or Yuji in danger."

I raised an eyebrow, "Of course, I believe you, but in any case, why did you call me?"

He placed the files on the table, "I have a mission for you."

I tilted my head slightly, "A mission?"

He nodded, "For a few weeks, people have been disappearing near a village without a trace, and the villagers are terrified. It seems to involve a cursed spirit."

"I can take care of it."

He smiled at me, "Very good."

"Is that all?"

He nodded, "Yes, you can go, and I'll send the information to your phone."

I nodded and turned to leave, but stopped when he called my name, "Miura..."

I turned around confused, "Did you call me?"

 He smiled, "No."

I looked at him perplexed and then walked out. I could swear he called me.

Weird guy.
