Bella's Point of View

So that's it, the story of Nathan and Dakota. I wanted to do multiple chapters of multiple endings, as if you got to choose what ending your wanted, such as the games. But ultimately, I decided to go with this ending since it was what I planned all through out writing this story.

I had a sequel in mind. But that's not until much later. So you're probably wondering, what's going to happen with Nathan?

Well, if you're unaware, this book is actually a spin-off. I originally was writing a Warren fan fiction, but realized I also had a lot of love for Nathan. I knew I was also going to write a Nathan fan fiction, so I decided to connect the two worlds. If by now you haven't realized, Warren and Amelie are the original book I began writing.

So still you're wondering what's gonna happen to Nathan? It's actually going to be included in my Warren fan fiction. That's how I'm really going to the tie the knot between the two stories. It won't be in Nathan's point of view. Everything from this point on will be in Amelie's point of view as she is Nathan's twin sister so she will directly be involved with his future while trying to balance her dating life with Warren.

After I feel happy with how Nathan's storyline joined my other book, I will be writing a sequel to this book. I don't plan on beginning to write the sequel for at least another week. So Nathan's point of view will be gone for a little while.

If you're still missing Nathan, I have an idea for another Nathan fan fiction. It would be set in a separate universe. What that means is, there will be no Amelie. It would still take place at Blackwell, but the storyline will be different. The two stories will have no connection whatsoever.

I also want to address how the book is only ten chapters. Yes, it's short for a fan fiction so it begs the question, could they have really been in love?

According to the timeline, their first encounter was Monday, but they didn't start hanging out until Tuesday and the events of last chapter took place Thursday. It gives Romeo and Juliet vibes to me now that I think about it, however that wasn't my intention.

In order for the book to be cohesive to the game, they could only know each other for a short amount of time. However despite how shortly they knew each other, I'm quite proud I was able to stretch out only a few days to ten chapters.

So if you want to know Nathan's fate, you should really check out my story Glued. And yes, it's named after a Melanie Martinez song. The lyrics couldn't have been more perfect?

When I first played Life is Strange in late 2019, I absolutely fell in love with the storyline and nearly obsessed over it, mostly Warren, but still. But I replayed it recently, and found myself super drawn to Nathan. This is because I kind of connect with him on the level of being misunderstood, not to sound edgy or quirky or anything.

I started diving into theories about Nathan and Warren. The theories on Nathan I buy most of the time. But Warren? Not at all. He's not a stalker!

Anyways, if you read this far thank you for supporting me. I only started writing this book a few days ago while simultaneously updating Glued. At one point I posted fifteen chapters with at least 1100 words within the span of twenty-four hours, talk about being productive. If only I had the same work ethic for school, maybe I wouldn't be flunking my senior year, enough said.

And last but not least, I'll leave you with this picture. I myself, am a tarot reader. I have been for some time. And when I was browsing on Pinterest looking for cute picture of Nathan, I came across this fan art. Unfortunately, I can't credit since I have no idea who drew it. If you know, please let me know and I'll edit this chapter!

It's of a tarot card, the hanged man. From my study of tarot and all the readings I've done over time. I depict this card as a sacrifice. This card will normally come up when the querent (person being read) is struggling with a choice, or a bunch of choices. And in order to overcome this choice, something must be sacrificed. This really hurts the querent as they know what needs to be sacrificed but are refusing too because it will hurt them. However staying on this path of toxic indecision will only lead to more hurt, and at that point they're only doing it to themselves. I'll leave it up to you to draw the metaphorical connection between the tarot card and Nathan himself. And a round of applause to the artist for putting two and two together, brava.

Thank you for supporting me and engaging in this book if you did. I will update this story when I come out with a sequel.

(P.S: If you've been able to understand why the story is called smoke and mirrors, kudos to you!)
