Thump.
What is this? I can't get out; it keeps blocking me when I try to reach the colour! Yet the colour looks further away from the boundary. It's invisible and it's in my way! Why can't I see it? The colour is just a few crawls away...bright, sky blue. Like the summer sky I've missed so much. But this sky looks so soft and flimsy. So appealing, I want to feel it! But the invisible walls won't let me. It's so dark in here...dull and hot. But the vibrant colour makes me feel ecstatic and hyper. I don't understand; my head is just contradicting my body.
This humidity...it's making me feel lazy and depressed. Why is it so dark, but so bright?
There's a sick sweetness to this air. The atmosphere is so thick and saccharine; it's almost nauseating. Sweet as the honey puddle I found under my leaf. It reminds me of the big red, boulder I once ventured across. But the smell is sweeter, and it lacks the same refreshing aura.
The ground is slippery morning dew to my feet. How I missed the fresh dew's damp, slippery feeling every morning. Smooth and white, the floor is so plain compared to the vibrant colour around me, and it looks almost three dimensional. It's a good thing my feet have exceptional grip, or I wouldn't be able to move properly, even with all my legs. Actually, I might even be able to climb the wall...
But how do I climb it when the boundary keeps getting in my way?
There are gaps over there. Scattered holes in the blue colour on the roof of my prison. I might be able to fit through one and touch the colour...
I tilt myself upwards, and place 40 of my minuscule (to humans) legs onto the glass wall. But wait...
There's a long log over there. It's propped up against the wall – the perfect staircase for me to climb up and get closer to the ceiling. I should use it; it's the perfect shortcut.
I crawl my way over to the giant log. It towered before me, as I looked up, and I placed my front 40 legs onto its coarse surface. The texture and its erratic grooves made it just off equivalent to the perfect ladder.
I gingerly climbed my way upwards, dragging along my long body and my many legs behind me. It took quite a while for me to reach the end of the stick, and by the time I was exhausted. But fatigue could do nothing to stop me from escaping. I wanted to touch the new, soft and floppy-looking sky...
Now I just had to climb the rest of the invisible wall. The air was less sickly up here, and I felt fresh air for the first time as I made my way, higher and higher, to my freedom. I reached out my front 20 legs, and touched the soft blue cloth above...

~ You have reached the end of the story. Hope you enjoyed! ~
...Chocolate :D
AN: So, what did you think? Was it good? Was it bad? Was it terrible? Was it okay? Weird? Interesting?
Imo, it might've been bit confusing and vague, I guess (it was actually an English assignment where we had to write something based off the word "Trapped" or something I think...Not sure; it was a long time ago as you may have noticed from the date I put up at the beginning loll.) but I had fun writing it and I hope you liked it either way!
It'd be awesome if you offered some constructive criticism anywhere or in the following chapters; I'd appreciate it! ^^
Anyway, thanks for reading! Have a cookie 🍪
