Christy felt bitter, so bitter she felt like strangling someone to death. That was how bitter she felt as she journeyed to her destination.
After Henry and Jackson had left Hope yesterday, Christy pressured Hope so much into telling her all that happened and of course, Hope had to tell her all that happened yesterday. When Christy heard about the money and the kiss, she felt ranged to death.
Christy felt like strangling Hope.
Why was Hope so special? What did Hope have that she didn't? Christy had had everything in life. She'd been the one with a good life, been the one with lots of sugar daddies at her feet. But why now? Why wasn't Henry like those sugar daddies? Why wasn't he at her feet? Why Hope? All Hope ever did in the past was rain insults on Henry continuously and she did all that even before meeting him yet fate chose Hope over her? Unbelievable, Christy wasn't going to let that happen, not on her watch. She was going to break whatever relationship Hope and Henry thought they have. She was going to break Hope.
Christy finally got to her destination but it still didn't subside the anger within her. She knocked twice at the gate and went straight in without interrogations cause the gate man was already used to seeing her. When Christy got to the front door, there was no need for knocking. She opened the door and walked straight to the living room to see Yemi, doing yoga in front of the television.
Yemi had a neon pink tank top and a white yoga pants on. She also had her thick red dreads tight up in a bun, which made her nice face features pop out.
"What do I owe this early morning visit?" Yemi asked, as she laid flat on her tummy on the yoga mat with her left leg up in the air.
"Henry and Hope are now a thing!" Christy gasped while Yemi, didn't look fazed by the information.
"I know, saw the media." Yemi changed position, as she followed the instructor in the television to do some squatting.
Yemi was also right, she did see the information on her phone last night. The recordings of Henry at Hope's place spread like wildfire. Everyone were now questioning Henry and Yemi's relationship and asking if they ever broke up or something. The most hilarious of it all was that no one was throwing hate on Henry and Hope. Some found it romantic and 'African Magic' worthy, If that even made sense. The most thing was everyone wanted an interview from both Henry, Hope and Yemi. They all wanted to be pulled out from the dark.
What sort of riddance was this? Everyone was giving Hope a free pass and even Yemi based on her nonchalant behaviour. And Christy, wasn't happy about it.
"And you're doing nothing about it?" Christy snarled in anger.
"My fans seem to be there for me." Yemi tried touching her toes with straight legs. "They aren't judging and throwing me under the bus, as you can see. If I open up and tell them that it's a fake relationship, they won't hate me. Or maybe I won't tell them. Maybe Henry and I, will just say we've broken up or something. Forget about it Christy, forget about your plans at finding boys to tie Hope up. Let's not fight a lost cause."
Christy of course just like pharaoh in the Bible, had her heart hardened. She wasn't hearing any of Yemi's words. She herself couldn't believe Yemi was the one talking this shit. "So you're going to leave Hope to Henry?"
"I saw someone of recent. His name is Wilson and he's somewhat nice. Well we started at the wrong foot with him calling me a brat and all but we're good now. He's not from the entertainment industry which is like a fresh breeze in my path." Yemi was currently doing splits. "We aren't a thing but maybe I should try my luck on him. He's way more handsome than Henry."
Yemi had whispered that last part with a small chuckle. "Should I be honest with you, Christy? I miss everything normal."
Christy scowled. She wasn't here to listen to some bull ass story. "What about Henry?"
"He doesn't love me. He's in love with someone else and had made it very clear. I should stop forcing myself on a boy that have zero interest towards me. I'm the wrong girl in his life and it kind of hurt, you see. I should start pursuing my own romance instead of another woman's man." Yemi stopped stretching and finally turned to face Christy for the first time since her arrival.
"I know you're doing this because you want Henry and me to get back together, but...." Yemi stopped to admire nothing in particular. "Look, if I find happiness in Wilson, I'll let the media know about him. Henry and I, are completely done."
"You're kidding me, right? Just like that?" Christy scoffed in annoyance and Yemi shrugged. "If you've got yourself this Wilson, why were you so adamant with Henry?"
"Because I thought if I tried harder, he'll love me. But I guess he's hell bent with that bodyguard of his so...." She shrugged, facing the instructor in the television. "You're making me miss my session, Christy."
Christy glared daggers at the back of Yemi's head before leaving her house, if only Yemi knew. Of course Yemi proved to be stupid and useless to her. She couldn't believe Yemi had made up her mind to leave Henry for Hope to enjoy their stupid new found relationship. Of course, she wasn't going to sit back and let that happen.
Hope was going to pay and Hope was going to pay good.
