"Can't get you off my mind! Life's like a waste of time! When you're not here to distract me from the thing that I lack, save me." Cora and Eli sung together as he drove through the night, taking a turn down the road. "Feel nothing when you're gone. Wait, did that come out wrong? Don't know if i'll get it back. Wondering how you'll react, baby."

Cora screamed when the car gave a sudden jolt. "Did we hit a deer!"

"What!" he yelled back in a panic. "No! No! I-I don't think so."

He got out, looking out. He looked back at her in a panic. Coras eyes widened. "Did we hit a deer?"

"We're stuck in mud." he said in return.

She gave a look of disbelief. "Are you gonna get us out?"

"What?" Eli gapped at her.

"I can't push a car with my ribs." she motioned to her side with risen eyebrows. "Be my Hulk man."

Eli sighed, nodding. "Okay."

Cora held back a grin, looking out the door. "Want me to hit the gas when you push?"

"Yeah!" he called up to her.

Cora was carful as she crawled into the passengers seat, sitting down as she pushed the gas. It didn't do much, felt like they were just spinning. She heard a yell. "C! C! Cora! Cora chill!"

"What ha-" she looked out the door, giving a loud snort at the sight of him covered in mud. "Did I do that?"

"Uh, yeah!" he said back in disbelief, slinging mud off his arms.

Cora tried not to laugh. "I'm sorry, love."

"Do not do it again." he gave a knowing point, going back to the back of the car with a push. "Okay, gas it!"

"You told me not to!" she yelled back.

"Just do it!" he called again, Cora hit the gas, and this time the car did move. Only now, she was going down hill with a scream. "Oh my god!"

Cora pushed the brakes harshly, holding the steering wheel and looking back to Eli. He hurried down the hill. The blonde held up a thumb. "I got it!"

"How do you have a license?" he got into the passengers seat this time with an inhale. "Okay, I think we're good."

"Directions?" she suggested with a grin his way.

It didn't take long to get to Lolly and Pops house after that. Cora gapped as she drove up into the driveway. "This is your grandparents house?"

"Yup." he grinned at her look.

"Eli." she gapped again.

"What?" he hummed.

"Eli!" she said again with a gapping look. "This is your grandparents!"

"Yes." he laughed at her, unbuckling his seat belt. "Stay where you are."

She waited till he came to the other side, pulling the drivers door open. "There's a lot of stairs, it's already risky with me bringing you here."

"I'll be okay." she reached up as he picked her up, holding under her legs and back. Cora wrapped her arms around his neck as he carried her toward the back door.

"You brought her!" Lolly cheered as she opened the doors for them.

"Hey, Lolly." he accept a kiss to the cheek, Cora smiled as she gave her one too.

"Oh, thank you." the blonde reddened in the face.

"What the heck happened to the two of you?" Pop walked out to see Eli covered in mud, now getting it on Cora as he carried her.

"Got hurt at the All Valley and have to avoid as much movement as I can." she said in return with a nod.

He gave a chuckle. "I meant the mud."

"Oh." she gave an embarrassed giggle.

"We got stuck in a lot of mud. When did Mackenzie not have gravel anymore?" Eli asked in confusion as he carried Cora in while Pop went to get their bags.

"Ugh, something about wanted to remodel with Astroturf." Lolly waved them off. "You guys hungry?"

"Oh, yeah." Cora agreed.

"Okay, both of you go take a shower." Lolly encouraged with a wave. "I'll bring up some...ice packs?"

"Please do." Eli begged as he went up the stairs. "Am I bouncing you to much?"

"No, I think it's okay." she said in return.

"I bet this is so sexy, right?" Cora asked Eli as he came back from the shower to see her laid in the bed, her abdomen covered in ice packs and a cheese and cracker platter next to her. "The perfect get away partner."

"Oh, yeah." he agreed, crawling in with her. "I'm extremely attracted to chicks with fractured ribs and are covered in ice packs."

She gave a little laugh, offering him a cheese as he took it. "We should definitely come back when I'm not borderline disabled."

"We have the whole summer." he pointed out, leaning on his elbow next to her. "Then we can go do a lot of stuff."

Cora smiled, her finger touched his nose for a second. "After I have a fair fight."

"After you have a fair fight." he agreed with a grin, nudging her finger with his nose again. "I'm happy you wanted to come with me."

"Me too." the blonde gave him a hum, laying back on the pillows more with a small inhale, not being able to breath deeply because of her ribs. "And about the All Valley."

"Yeah, well, I was worried you weren't gonna show up." he said back. "Then you did."

"Wanted to see if you were as good as you say." she joked, getting a smile. "I'd say you were all right."

Eli laughed at her sarcasm, nodding her head. "Says the one with fractured ribs."

Cora gave a laugh of disbelief. "Low blow!"

He laughed, shaking his head. "I'm sorry, i'm sorry."

Leaned over, Cora pressed a little kiss onto Eli's lips.

story is so personal to me
and i've gone through what
she has so obviously it's a close
story to me as well as her in
general and i can't wait to
