A boy with fluffy green hair and freckles along with wearing a black, male uniform stepped on a puddle before continuing his running, panting can be heard. He stops his running when he came across the street sign, showing to standby. The boy was pacing in his spot, clearly excited about something. Eventually, the light changed for him to walk, in which, the boy starts running again.
He continues his running, close to his destination. While that, a villain was on the train tracks, letting out a big roar. The teenage boy had finally arrived at his stop. He had gripped his yellow backpack tightly in contempt, a big smile making its way on his lips. "That's a huge villain!" He gawks. The villain lets out another roar, turning his head and knocking down a Utility Pole, making citizens scream and shout.
Suddenly, a Pro-Hero hurries through the crowd, punches his fist together as electricity forms, and grabs the pole with his two hands. The citizens began to smile. "Oh, its Death Arms!" A citizen yells. "He carries out justice through his great physical strength--The Punching Hero!" The crowd of citizens stares at Death Arms in amazement until a line of water forms into a stop sign. "Everyone, this is dangerous. Stay back, stay back!" Another Pro-Hero states, making the citizens gasp with joy once again. "The rescue specialist, Backdraft, is here, too!"
"But man, turning into a monster's an amazing Quirk!" A citizen mutters as Izuku tries to get a better angle of the heroes. "What did he do?" Another citizen questions. "He stole someone's bag and went out of control when he was cornered." The green-haired boy then pushes himself through the crowd to get a better view of the battle. "A Quirk like that, and he's a bag snatcher?" The same citizen says.
"I'm sorry, the train is..." Another citizen speaks, talking to someone on the phone. "Yes, I don't know what time I will make it into work..." Suddenly, a man flies above the crowd of people, making a group of girls squeal. "You can do it, Kamui!" They shriek. Kamui lands on the ground and jumps onto the ledge. He looks up and quickly moves when the villain punches down at the ledge. The villain looks up to see Kamui and growls. "Get away!" He roars.
The boy finally makes it to the front of the crowd and looks up at the fight. He beams and questions someone nearby. "Who's fighting?" The villain tries to swipe Kamui away, but he flips back using his stretched out arm. "Kamui Woods!" The boy shrieks, once noticing who it was. "The young and talented rising star!" His smile is brightly presented, his gaze never leaving the hero as a neighboring citizen chuckles. "You were the one asking, but you gave a perfect commentary, kid." The boy glances over at him.
The citizen turns and points at the green-haired boy. "You're a fanboy, aren't you?" The boy sweats, a small blushing forming as he looks away from the man. "Uh, well.." He nervously chuckles while the fight continues. As Kamui runs on the train tracks, the villain slams his hand down, but he misses. Kamui jumps then starts running up on the villain's arm. He uses his arm and quickly wraps it around the villain's other hand. The villain swings Kamui away, making the hero land on top of the roof of the train transport.
"Illegal use of powers during rush hour and robbery resulting in bodily injury. You are the incarnation of evil." Kamui says, activating his branch-like arm. The teenager gasps and points. "Oh, here it comes!" The same man from before starts to shout. "Show us something flashy, Tree-Man!"
"Pre-emptive..."
"...Binding..."
"Lacquered Chain Prison!"
Both the green-haired boy and Kamui announce the Quirk, as Kamui's arm goes to attack, but, someone else comes in from the side. "Canyon Cannon!" The girl, who's twice as big as the villain, kicks the villain down, taking the spotlight from Kamui. Everyone stares wide-eyed at the sudden girl's appearance. "Huh?" The girl lands with a loud thud on the ground, as this makes photographers move beside and in front of the boy, who stares at the paparazzi.
"Here it is, here it is."
"Here it is, here it is."
"Today is the day of my debut!" The girl announces, holding the villain's clothes by her fingers. She turns her head and smiles. "My name is Mt. Lady. A pleasure to make your ass-quaintance." She leans her body down, making more photographers flash their cameras at her. The green-haired boy digs in his yellow backpack while a few citizens sweat-drop at Mt. Lady's introduction. As that happened, Kamui was still in his fighting stance, his Quirk still activated. "Sh-She's getting the credit..." Mt. Lady looks down at the cheering citizens and waves both arms in the air before shrinking back to her regular size.
The crowd had already left with the Pro-Heroes leaving with the villain chained up, except for the boy, who stayed behind due to writing down in his journal and muttering. "She looks like she'll be popular, and it's an amazing Quirk, but thinking about the damage to the city that'll go hand in hand with that, its use might be limited? No, but whether or not she can control the size..."
"Hey wait," It was the same man from before, he had noticed the boy and decided to call him out, "you're taking notes? You wanna be a hero? That's great! You can do it!" The boy looks over at the man. Hearing those words made the green-haired boy show a big grin on his face. "Yes! I'll do my best!"
And that boy's name is Izuku Midoriya. One of the few percentages in the world to be Quirkless.

From a distance, another boy, who had a black, bowl-cut hair and also wearing a black, male uniform had watched the fight go down with the villain and heroes until Mt. Lady came in. Unlike everyone, his face was just stoic, his mouth slightly parted. It fascinated the boy a small bit, but what he was really focused on was him arriving at his school on time.
He ripped his gaze away from the crowded people surrounding Mt. Lady and continued on his walk, holding his schoolbag in his right hand as he remained silent.
He was known to be a quiet and somewhat of an emotionless kid in his school. He was never one to stick out and make people look at him, beside's the outdated haircut sometimes, his appearance was rather bland. Most of the kids in his school really stuck out or they were just popular. Everyone had a friend there. He didn't have many friends beside's one, and he didn't mind it. One was enough to make him happy.
Finally, after walking silently through the city, he had reached his school. Salt Middle School. He stared at his school, the school he'll soon be graduating, and head into high school after the entrance exams are over.
Right away, everyone who had a quirk and was graduating was most likely choosing the hero course in order to become pro-heroes in the future. The bowl-cut boy didn't know what to choose. The boy had always second-guessed his powers from time to time, wanting to have a normal life. He was even afraid of his powers sometimes due to past experiences of it going out of control.Β He hadn't noticed he was lost in thought when a hand suddenly waved in front of his face.
He blinked rapidly, eyes on the hand before it retreated. He looked over to his right to see a girl wearing a white and blue uniform and skirt along with a red ribbon wrapped underneath her collar bone. She wore dark blue stockings and was wearing sneakers. Her hands were resting by her hips, her bag being held in her right hand as a smile had crept its way up her face. This girl so happened to be the boy's close friend. And her name is (Y/n) (L/n).
She had (S/c) colored skin, (H/c) colored hair, and (E/c) colored eyes. Her height was nearly as tall as the teenage boy's. "Morning, Shigeo." She said, her smile still showing. Like said, the boy's name is Shigeo Kageyama, or as people call him, Mob. And as mentioned many times, Mob had a Quirk, and they were Telekinesis; the ability to move objects or people at will by raising a hand, finger, or using your mind, and he was a rather powerful teen. (Y/n), on the other hand, her quirk was Spider.
She had the ability to shoot/create webs out of her hands and feet, crawl on walls, communicate with other arachnids, basically doing anything a spider can do. It was pretty cool if she were, to be honest, but she was always cautious around other spiders because despite being a literal human version of them, she still feared some.
"Oh, morning (Y/n)." Mob replied with a small smile as they started walking their way into the premise. "Sorry for not walking with you today, I slept in ...again. Hopefully, I didn't miss anything." His friend explained; a sheepish chuckle can be heard as Mob continued his smile and said nonchalantly. "Another villain fight happened."
The girl's eyes instantly popped. "What!? And I missed it?!" (Y/n) shrieked, a disappointed look made its way on her face. "Man... I skipped another one again." She then looked at him. "Do you mind telling me what happened then?" As she asked, they arrived inside the school building and over to the lockers where they went to remove their shoes and into their school ones.
After that was done, Mob looked at her and said. "A new hero showed up and took down the villain, I think her name was Mt. Lady." (Y/n) nodded her head, an 'o' forming real quick before the two began walking to their classes together. Once in their classroom, they sat down at their desks as other kids started piling in and sat down as well as the bell rang out.
The classroom was filled with chatter, everyone either talking or laughing until their teacher entered the class. They quickly got quiet, watching the teacher walk over to his podium and face the class. "Morning class." He said, looking down at his folder and began skimming through it while the students greeted back. "Morning, sensei."
The class watches their teacher with curiosity, wondering what he was searching for in that folder. Finally, the teacher pulled out a pile of papers, putting the folder down on the podium and looking up at the class again. He holds the stack of papers in his hands and announces it. "As you know, we're a bit behind schedule from other schools due to the district's delay. These are your highschool applications on where you want to be."
Instantly, everyone started murmuring to each other, excited, but the teacher shushes the class and begins to talk again as he starts handing the papers to them. "And since we're behind schedule, these applications must be returned by tomorrow filled out. Understand?"
"Yes, sensei!"

Aldera Junior High
Izuku was now in his class, listening as the teacher spoke, well, more like writing since he was still focusing on the appearance of Mt. Lady. "Since you're all third years, it's time for you to think seriously about your future. I'll pass out the handouts for your future plans now, but..." The teacher swipes some papers from his desk. "...you're all..." The teacher tosses the papers away as a few students had activated their Quirks. "...pretty much planning to go into the hero course, right?"
"Yes!"
The students shout, all activating their Quirks except for Izuku and a blonde-haired kid, whose legs are on top of his desk and his head is down. "Yes, yes you all have wonderful Quirks!" The teacher yells, while Izuku just meekly raises his hand. "But using your powers at school is against the rules!"
"Teach!" The blonde, who turns out to be a boy name Katsuki Bakugo, speaks. "Don't lump us all in the same group. I'm not gonna be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects!" He looks up and smirks at everyone. Instantly, all the students start yelling and cursing him out. "That was uncalled for, Katsuki!" Bakugo just makes a stupid grin. "You all should shut up like the extras you are!"
"Oh, if I remember correctly," The teacher says, holding a clipboard, "you want to go to U.A High, right, Bakugo?" Everyone gasps while Bakugo continues on smirking. "U.A? That national school?!" Someone exclaims. When hearing that, Izuku hides his head in his arms. "It was in the top 0.2% this year, you know!" Another informs. "Their acceptance rate's always really low, too!"
"That's exactly why you guys are just extras!" The red-eyed boy remarks. He jumps on his desk and announces to everyone in the room. "I aced the mock test! I'm the only one at this school who could possibly get into U.A. I'll definitely surpass All Might and become the top hero!" Bakugo clenches his fist and raises it high above. "My name'll be inscribed on the list of top earners!"
"Oh yeah, Midoriya wanted to go to U.A., too, right?"
Bakugo's cheering stops.
Midoriya flinches and begins to sweat.
Everyone's eyes land on Izuku while Bakugo was still frozen in place. Then, they begin to laugh, making Midoriya jolt. "Huh? Midoriya? No way!" One laughs. "You can't get into the hero course just by studying!" Another snorted as the poor boy stands up from his seat. "Th-They got rid of that rule! There's just no precedent..."
He stops his talking when Bakugo slams his hand on Midoriya's desk, activating his explosion Quirk and breaking it in two. Izuku fell on his bottom as the anger-issued boy yells. "Hey, Deku!" The poor boy yelps as he gets looked down upon. "You're below the rejects! You're Quirkless! How can you even stand in the same ring as me?"
"No, wait, Kacchan!" Izuku begins to back up against the wall. "It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything! Believe me! It's just that it's been my goal since I was little. And well... I won't know unless I try..." Bakugo starts activating his Quirk again. "Whaddaya mean unless you try?! Are you taking the test for fun?! What the hell can you do? You're Quirkless!" Midoriya stares at Bakugo for a small second before he looks down in sadness and in shame.

Salt Middle School - Afterschool
Ever since Mob had received his high school application, he's been in deep thought, and (Y/n) could clearly notice. They were currently walking home together, almost reaching the city. Mob usually listens to (Y/n) talk to him with open ears and always has some reply to the topic, but since he was in deep thought, he hasn't paid much attention and would rarely say something.
Before (Y/n) can ask him what's wrong, his phone goes off. Immediately, Mob grabs the phone, which was a flip phone, out of his back pocket and checks to see who was calling him. "Who's that?" His friend asked, glancing at the phone and his face. The contact name read 'Reigen' as it continues to ring. "It's Master," Shigeo tells, answering the phone and putting it against his ear. "Hello?"
Ah, Mob?
The sound of a man's voice can be heard from the speaker.
Sorry to call you two days in a row, but could you and (Y/n) come down to the station right now?
"The station?"
Yeah. Today's job is a big one.
"Oh. All right."
Mob hangs the phone up and puts it back in his pocket. He turns to (Y/n), who says. "I'm guessing by that conversation Reigen-sen wants us to come to his office, right?" He nods at her, which makes the girl let out a short sigh. "He really needs to give us a heads up next time..." She muttered to herself right before she looked at Mob and smiled. "Well, let's get to it." The boy nods, a small smile presenting as the two starts making their way over to the station.
Soon, they make it to the station to see a man with dark blonde hair with dark eyes wearing a full grey suit and a pink tie standing there. The man turns and sees the two, waving them down. This man so happens to be both Mob and (Y/n)'s master, Reigen Arataka, or as (Y/n) likes to call him, the 'Sweaty Rat.'
Unlike his two disciples, Reigen didn't have a Quirk, he was part of the 20% like Izuku, though, whenever his clients request to get rid of spirits, they believe he has some sort of Quirk. But nope. He was just too good at conning people, since, after all, he is a con-artist.
And since his conning was so convincing, Mob and (Y/n) believe that Reigen has a powerful Psychic Quirk and he's a retired pro-hero.
The trio greeted each other as they waited for the bus to arrive and eventually, it did. They entered the vehicle and walk all the way in the back and after they got themselves seated, the bus began to drive off to their destination while Reigen started explaining to the two teens.
"Today's job is from a local neighborhood council. The location is Honeido Tunnel along the old highway. It's a famous haunted place." The blonde was holding an article about the tunnel while (Y/n) and Mob look over at it and stare at the few pictures it showed. "The tunnel's always had some shady stories, and even though it's been closed for years, the bad rumors just won't go away. Also, a number of college students and bloggers have gone there to do a test of courage and gone missing. And this is the ringer."
"A huge group accident?" They question him. "Yeah," Reigen says, "though it happened thirty years ago. Apparently, more than twenty people died at once. The hatred of all those people must be swirling around this tunnel." Finally, the bus had reached their stop. The three leave with their things and watch the bus drive off.
The wind starts to pick up as the three looks up at the windy sky before they make their way towards the tunnel. "Stay on your toes, you two. There's no telling what might happen."
"Oh, right." Mob replied.
They soon stopped walking once they reached the Honeido Tunnel. Reigen glances at the sign and begins to mutter. "This is it. Well, let's take a look. I, Reigen Arataka, the new star of the paranormal world and the retired pro-hero, shall clean this place up. We're going to exorcise every last one of them, Mob, (Y/n)." With determination, Reigen enters the tunnel as (Y/n) watches with amusement. She looks over at Mob and walks over to see what he was doing while she hears the rapid footsteps of her boss coming back from the dark tunnel.
"Hey, my students! What are you two doing?! You're coming, too!" Reigen screeches, as the teenagers were just watching ants enter a small gap in the road in a line. "It'll be bad if the sun goes down. Mob, (Y/n), are you listening?" They finally look away from the ants and look over at Reigen, who was making lots of dramatic hand movements while yelling at them. "I'm gonna go melt down a big one, so follow me! Got it?!"
The two turn their bodies over to their boss as (Y/n) remarks. "All right. You seemed to have everything under control, so I didn't think that you'd needed our help." She crosses her arms as the con-man sweats at her response. "You idiot! Who do you think is going to exorcise--Ahem."
He quickly catches himself and clears his throat. "I mean," He looks away from his students and places a hand on his chin. "this really is nothing for me," He soon points over at the tunnel, "but follow me so you can learn something." Reigen does a little head roll and begins to walk off, but halts when Shigeo speaks. "You're truly amazing, Master."
"Hm?"
Mob stares at the tunnel and starts to say. "This tunnel seems pretty dangerous." Reigen turns his body to the boy. "I can sense the presence of a very powerful spirit further down. Usually, haunted spots end up being fake, but this is definitely the real deal. If a normal person happened to anger the spirit in here..."
"If they angered it...?"
"They probably wouldn't make it out in one piece."
Reigen flinches at the statement and tone Mob used and glances over at the tunnel and back at the Telekinesis's user and Spider girl. "Of course not. That's why we're going to exorcise it." Shigeo and (Y/n) gently place their schoolbags beside each other against the tunnel walls and enters with Reigen waiting for them. "All right, here we go! I'll go first. I'm counting on you two to support me however you can from behind."
"Right." They answer and the three begin to walk deep in the tunnel in silence. "It's a bit chilly." The blonde eventually said. "Yes," Shigeo replies, continuing to look forward. "We forgot to bring flashlights." Reigen sighed as the girl says. "It's not that dark." The blonde glances over at her and mutters. "You have night-vision, that's why..." Then, it was quiet yet again. "Master, don't you feel something?" Mob asks the adult beside him. "Hm? Well, it is pretty humid in here..."
"No, he's talking about auras." (Y/n) corrects him, even though she didn't know much about psychic abilities, she knew a few things when Mob had explained his Quirk to her. "Oh, right, that. Well, my nose is a bit sduffy doday." Reigen soon answers back as he pretends to sound stuffy. "Does that have anything to do with this?" Shigeo couldn't help but ask his master's responses. "When you get to my level, it does," Reigen retorts once again, turning to his right and ask the bowl-cut haired boy. "Do you guys feel anything?"
Mob stops in his tracks while Reigen and (Y/n) continued walking. "Feel would be an understatement." The boy stated as this makes the con-man and Spider girl stop walking. "There are twelve... Eighteen... No... Even more right nearby." Mob resumes, looking around the enclosed tunnel. "Ah!"
At Mob's little exclaim, Reigen stiffens his body and lets out a yelp while (Y/n) looks at Mob. "Looks like we've been completely surrounded." He says, still glancing around the tunnel as (Y/n) watches Reigen slowly regain his composure. "They're going to attack us now."
"All right!" Reigen shouts. "I'll leave the small fry to you. Go, Mob!" After Reigen's orders, the psychic boy lifts both his hands up and begins to exorcise the fellow spirits surrounding them, with Mob's purple aura surrounding him while Reigen and (Y/n) walk-off, Reigen's hands in his pockets while (Y/n) continues looking behind her, her eyes staring in awe.
Reigen peeks at (Y/n) then looks behind him real quick then turning back around to resume walking. "Man, that's a lot of noise. They're really strong, huh?" (Y/n) glimpses at Reigen, noticing him walking away and gradually catches up.
He fastens his pace, making the Spider girl follow suit. "Hmm... if we were normal people, we might have been in danger. Well, I'm sure that took care of all of them. Another piece of ca--" Reigen stops talking when he bumps into something, making him freak out and give a horrid expression. 'There's someone right in front of me!' Reigen quickly whips out his flip phone and shines it in front of him. "Who are you?! An evil spirit?!"
And Reigen was sure right, it was the Boss Spirit, but he didn't seem to realize as he lets out a sigh and closes his phone. (Y/n) finally catches up to her boss and takes a peek over at the spirit. "Oh, it's just a heel wrestler. Don't scare me like that! I thought you were an evil spirit." Reigen huffs as the spirit gives him a look, uncrossing his arms that were crossed and looks down at the oblivious man. "You shouldn't be practicing here." The blonde stated. "Uh, Master, (Y/n)," Mob called, as he was still exorcising the spirits away. "The boss of sorts of evil spirits is over there, so watch out."
The Spider girl and Reigen shoot their heads back over to the Boss Spirit, who smirks down at them while Reigen just gives it a look. "Hmph, so you're the boss monkey of the evil spirits!" He then points at him and starts yelling at him. "You may have tried to disguise yourself as a wrestler, but you can't fool me!"
The spirit gives him a deadpan look at Reigen's comment, glanced at (Y/n), who shrugged before he starts yelling at him. "I... This tunnel... When my biker gang and I were going down this tunnel, the guy in front happened to slip on a banana peel, and we all died! And I'm their leader! This tunnel is... my turf! I'll crush every last intruder!"
Mob looks over after he had gotten rid of the spirits, listening to the Boss Spirit yell. "Here I go! Curse ya! Cigarette Burn Poltergeist!" The spirit powers up his attack and goes to land a hit on Reigen, but fortunately, it barely leaves a scratch on him, making the spirit stare in awe.
"W-What?! My ignition attack isn't working? There's a powerful forcefield?" The boss questions when he notices pink electricity surrounding Reigen while a small web was on his back due to (Y/n) pulling him away from the incoming attack. "How could this power be coming from someone like him?" The spirits shrieks in fear. "Crap! I mistook him for a wimp!"
"Too late for regrets now!" Reigen spat. "The moment that you tried to take on the genius psychic, Reigen Arataka, your fate was sealed!" He threatened, rummaging his hand through a bag of salt. "You're going to be exorcised! Banishing Salt Punch!" Reigen throws a punch right across the spirit's face as salt flies everywhere.
The spirit lets out a scream, but he stops when he realizes nothing happened from that punch. "Huh? That didn't hurt at all." The spirit mutters, rubbing his cheek as this makes Reigen look at his fist-formed hand tensely. "Oh, dear." The spirit lowers his hand and looks down at the blonde. "So you are fake..." But suddenly, the spirit begins to scream as it was starting to get exorcised. "I'm disappearing!" It shrieks as Reigen stares down at it with a dark look. "Go back to the ozone layer."
"We were just being forced to do this!" The spirit admitted, which makes the exorcise process to stop and leave the spirit tiny and confused. Reigen looks over at Shigeo in confusion. "Hey, what are you doing? Hurry up and melt him."
"Now, now, Reigen-sen." (Y/n) assured. "Let's hear him out." The spirit looks up at the three and shivers as he went and explained to them. "We're nothing compared to the evil spirit down the tunnel." He points behind him. "We've been getting orders from him, and that's why we've been scaring people that come through." Reigen rolls his eyes and scoffs at the tiny spirit. "Hmph. Don't think that you can fool Reigen with such lies!"
"They aren't lies!" The spirit shakes once more and whimpers. "It's just that if I disappeared while being falsely accused, I don't think that we, the Death Specters, and our memories could rest in peace! That's all I wanted to say!" The spirit lays on the floor and continues with a dramatic tone. "Now you can make me disappear, melt, or whatever you want!"
Still not convinced, Reigen furrows his brows. "So you're trying to make us pity you? Don't let them fool you, guys! Those are typical lies of a con artist." He covers his face as he insulted himself before quickly giving a spirit a thumbs down. "Melt him."
"Before that, I'm going to go have a look," Shigeo tells both (Y/n) and Reigen as he begins to walk away from them. "I thought it was a little weird that the aura I felt before coming in here hadn't disappeared yet." (Y/n) watches her friend walk away for a moment before blurting. "You sure you wanna go alone? I can come if you want me to." Not expecting (Y/n)'s sudden concern, his mouth opens a bit, then a small smile appeared. "Oh, uh, sure." He watches her smile and makes her way over to him while Reigen decided to play along and intervenes. "Well, yeah, me, too..."
"Stop them!"
Reigen looks down at the spirit as it keeps yelling and shouting in fear. "No matter how strong those kids may be, they don't stand a chance. That thing is an evil spirit that's lived on this mountain for hundreds of years. Everyone that's died here was killed by him!" Reigen looks down at the spirit with wide eyes and fear. "S-So you guys were also..."
"No. We just happened to slip on a banana peel."
Suddenly, a strong wind blows within the tunnel. Reigen gasps at this and lets out a mall yelp, which makes Reigen catch a bottle in his mouth before spitting it out once the wind calmed down. "You get it now, don't you!" The spirit flies up to him, pointing further down the tunnel. "If you care for those kids at all, call them back. Hurry!" Reigen pauses for a moment before calling back his student. "H-Hey, Mob! (Y/n)! Come back! Come back! Mob! (Y/n)!"
Meanwhile, Mob and (Y/n) silently walked in the tunnel, glancing around the area until they reached a blocked off area while they approached a spirit, as it quickly formed its hideous form and look down at Shigeo, who just stares blankly at it while (Y/n) forms a sweat, getting ready to use her webs on it. The evil spirit makes its way to the stoic boy, chomps down at him, and swallows him, making (Y/n)'s eyes widen and lets out a small yelp while the boss spirit's pupils pop as he shakes with fear.
Reigen looks over at the spirit then quickly back at the tunnel in front of him, overly worried for their students "Mob? (Y/n)?" Reigen mutters. Back with the evil spirit, (Y/n) had flicked her wrist and sent the sticky webs at the spirit, wrapping it around it as it lets out some small roar and looks down at the girl. She began squeezing the creature as hard as she could while Mob, who was inside the spirit still, begins to activate his powers, which slowly makes the spirit start to struggle but in the end, the spirit was demolished into nothing as Shigeo has exorcised it no more.
The items that were floating around him fell with a loud thud, along with (Y/n)'s webs following to the floor like feathers. The girl looks over at her friend, a relieved smile showing as the webs retreated back into her wrists. "Had me worried there for a second." She said as Mob looked at her then looked down. "Oh, I'm sorry." She brushes it off though and turns around. "No need to apologize. You did good." She then walks off. "Let's get going."
Mob goes to follow her, but he catches something in the corner of his eyes.Β Soon, the two start to come back to the con-man and the spirit. Reigen squints his eyes but stops when he sees his students. "Oh, you're safe." Shigeo nodded. "Yes. That evil spirit wasn't very powerful." The spirit's eyes widen at Mob's sentence, making (Y/n) chuckle at his reaction. "Wh-Who are you?" The spirit said, making Mob look at him. "Huh? I'm nobody..."
Both (Y/n) and Reigen didn't like his answer, which made the blonde scold him. "You idiot! You're Mob, the student... of Reigen Arataka, the new star of the paranormal world!" (Y/n) decided to join in as well. "And you so happened to be my friend, y' know." Mob just looks between the two. "Oh, right." The spirit goes and approaches the boy and gives a small chuckle. "I thank you. Now we can all pass on peacefully."
The spirit flows right past Mob, which makes him realize something. "Ah, could this be..." He holds out a picture to the spirit, who gasps when he realizes it's a picture of him and the rest of the Death Specters Gang. He holds the picture in his hands and begins to let down a few tears, rubbing his nose as well. "Thanks..."
Eventually, the boss spirit begins to disappear as he continues to thank Shigeo's kind gesture. "Thanks, dude! Now we can depart to the afterlife! Full speed ahead to the next world!" And just like that, the Boss spirit and his crew vanish, as both Shigeo and (Y/n) watch.
(Y/n) then looks at Shigeo, a warm smile making it's way to her face until Reigen called to them. "Mob? (Y/n)?" They look over at him. "What are you two doing? Let's go." He turns back around and begins to walk off. "Right." They reply as they walked side-by-side.
Once they were out, (Y/n) and Mob grabbed their bags and made their way to the bus stop with Reigen, as he was looking at the schedule to only realize that they missed had just missed the bus, making his eye twitch. "By the way, Reigen-sen..." (Y/n) trailed off.
"Huh?"
"Why didn't you do anything?"
The blonde let's out some ghastly noise and quickly tries to come up with an excuse. "Well, uh, you know... A-Ahem..." He looks down at them with a smug look. "Didn't I tell you right at the start that I'd leave the small fry to both of you as a start of your hero training?" Mob blinks and looks away, his thoughts right back at the high school paper, and said in a very monotone voice. "Oh, right."
(Y/n) eyes her friend in the corner of her eyes while Reigen turns away from them again, which makes him let out a sigh and a small sweat to rolling down his cheek.

Evening
A lot has happened after school for Izuku. First off, Bakugo had burned his notebook and tossed it out of the classroom window and ridiculed him. Next, when he was walking home, a Sludge Villain had and attacked Midoriya and nearly killed him, but luckily, All Might came to the rescue and saved him and captured the Sludge Villain!
After Izuku had a fanboy attack when encountering his number one hero and idol, All Might took off, but the green-haired boy had grabbed ahold on the hero's leg, struggling against the wind and had told him he wanted to ask All Might many questions in his mind. But while flying in the air, the captured villain had escaped and began making his way in the city.
Once those two landed near a safe area, Izuku had asked All Might a rather personal question, a question about him becoming a pro-hero even though he was Quirkless, but what caught the boy off guard was when All Might had poofed into a rather skinny looking man, freaking Izuku out and was baffled when the skinny man turned out to be All Might himself after he had explained his condition to him.
But regarding Izuku's question, he basically gave a reply that crushed Midoriya's dream, saying that he can't be a hero without a quirk. Izuku already knew that it was impossible, but hearing it from his idol was heartwrenching. Izuku then started making his way home after All Might had split off, but when walking home, he found the Sludge Villain holding Bakugo captive and struggling against the villain while a crowd and pro-heroes were at the scene.
Despite the words All Might had told him, Izuku rushed in the scene and tried his best to save Bakugo until All Might came in and took the villain down.
And this is where we are now. The boy was walking down a street, making his way to his home as the sun began to set on the horizon. He was in deep thought, thinking back at the events that occur until the sound of Bakugo's voice had called behind him. Izuku turned around and saw the light blonde running his way to him, making Izuku confused.
Once Katsuki was a few feet away from him, he stopped his running, breathing heavily and glared down at the ground. "I never asked you for help! And you didn't help me! Got it?!" He looked up at Midoriya and glared at him. "I was fine by myself. You're a Quirkless failure playing without a full deck! Don't think you can look down on me! Are you trying to make me owe you?!" He inhaled sharply, still glaring at him. "Don't look down on me!"
He quickly turned around and started stomping away, his hands in his pockets as he said one final thing to Izuku. "You damn nerd!" Midoriya just watches him walk away, a small sweat formed as he was still a bit confused. "Toughness"..." He muttered before a gentle smile made its way on his face. 'It's just as Kacchan said. It's not like I accomplished anything, or changed anything. But, I'm glad.'
He lowers his head and turns around, his smile still present. 'Now I can think of a realistic future...'
"I am here!"
Izuku quickly looked up and immediately saw All Might dashing his way from another street, making him shriek and start stuttering with bewilderment. "A-All Might?! Why are you here?" He quickly looks around. "You were surrounded by reporters until just now..." The boy just trails off when the hero lets out a bellowing laugh. "Getting away from them was a piece of cake. Why?" He starts to flex his muscles, "Because I am All Migh--" But he just turns back into his skinny self, blood spewing out of his mouth as Izuku let's out a loud scream.
All Might lets out a cough, wiping the blood off his chin and faced Midoriya in a rather serious manner this time. "Young man. I come with thanks, a correction, and a suggestion." Izuku furrows his eyebrows, gripping his yellow backpack as he listens to the man continue his explanation. "If you hadn't been there... If you hadn't told me about your life... I would've turned into a guy in a bodysuit who was all talk. Thank you."
"That can't be..." The green-haired boy spoke, "It was my fault in the first place. I got in the way of your work, and I said all those impertinent things even though I'm Quirkless..."
"That's right." All Might responds. "It was because it was none other than the timid, Quirkless you at the scene that I was able to act." Midoriya gasps and his eyes widen, his grip on the bag steps fall to his side as he listens to the hero yet again. "Top heroes have stories about them from their school days. Most of their stories have one thing in common: Their bodies moved before they had a chance to think."
The boy's eyes had a glow in them, but he lowers his hand and begins to hiccup, tears well up in his eyes as his body lowers even more and begins to shake a bit. All Might watches his form and questions him. "That was true for you, too, wasn't it?" Finally, the droplets begin to fall and drip down to his nose as he meekly responds. "Yeah..."
He falls to his knees as the wind picks up and begins to sway within the trees. All Might looks down at him and begins to say, the words Midoriya had always wanted to hear. "You can become a hero." Izuku continues to let out a small sob, clutching his school uniform. The man stares down at him before speaking which leads Midoriya to be very confused. "You can inherit my power."
"Inherit your power?" Izuku questions, looking up to only see All Might let out a loud laugh and raised a row. "What's with that face? It's just a suggestion. The real show starts after this." He gets closer to Izuku and raises a finger high in the sky. "Listen, young man. You need to decide," He then points at the boy, and in the process, he bit his tongue and blood started spewing again. "whether or not you will accept my power!"
'Wh-What is All Might saying...?' Midoriya asked himself, his eyes furrowing as he watches the hero wipe the blood off his chin. "I'm talking about my power, young man." The man stated as if he read his mind. "The tabloids called it "superhuman strength" and a "boost," and I constantly dodged the question during interviews with a funny joke. Because the Symbol of Peace, All Might, had to be a natural-born hero. But young man, I will tell you the truth."
He raises his hands to his side and looks up at the sky. "My Quirk was passed on to me like a sacred torch." Now Izuku was more confused. "It was passed on to you...?"
"That's right. And next, it is your turn."
"W-Wait! Wait a minute!" The boy shrieked, standing on his knees as All Might looked down at him. "It's true that your Quirk is something hotly debated as one of the world's greatest mysteries. So much so that not a day goes by when I don't see someone talking about it online."
At that point, Izuku was back to his regular mumbling as his head started to spin. "But, well, I don't really understand what you mean by inheriting or passing on a Quirk... I've never heard of anything like that before, and it's never been conjectured in the debate. Why is that? Is it because since the dawn of history, a Quirk like that was never confirmed? In the first place, it's..."
"You always start with denial, huh? Nonsense!"
"Wh...?!"
All Might looks down at Midoriya again and spreads his arms out. "I may hide a lot of things, but I don't lie!" He then held his hand in front of him. "The power to transfer power... That is the Quirk I inherited!" A sudden glow started to emit from his hand. "I was crowned with "One For All"!"
"One For All"..."
"That's right." All Might said as he began explaining the power and its origin. "One person cultivates the power and passes it on to another person, who also cultivates it and passes it on. It is the crystallization of power that spins together with the voices of those who need help," The glow disappears as he formed a fist, "with a courageous heart."
Izuku just frowns, he should be ecstatic, but he was wondering why him of all people, was being given this big power and responsibility. "Why are you... Why are you giving me something so great?" All Might lowers his hand. "I have been looking for a successor. And then, I thought it would be all right for you to inherit it. You are just a Quirkless hero fanboy, but you were more heroic than anyone else back there!"
The tears start to come back to Izuku's eyes while All Might lets out a small laugh and smacks his forehead a couple of times. "Never mind! Well, it's up to you, though. What'll you do?" The boy continues to stare at him, his grip on his knees tighten as his body was shaking slightly. 'He said so much to encourage me and even told me his secret...' He shakes his head and starts drying his upcoming tears. 'Is there...? Of course, there isn't... There's no reason for me to turn him down!'
The boy finally stands up, looks up at the hero, and gives a determined expression to him. "I'll do it!" The man smirks down at him. "An immediate reply. That's what I thought you'd say!"

Mob and (Y/n) were now walking home together, as at that point, the sun had already set. After the job was done, Reigen had treated them Ramen for dinner, as he usually did whenever the request was fulfilled. They were silent in their walk, not that they minded, they enjoyed each other's company quite a lot. The Spider girl glanced over at her friend, noticing him in deep thought again, as he was just staring down at the ground.
She lets out a small sigh and looked in front of her. "Are you worried about what to do for high school?" Mob flinched, and looked over at her, his eyes slightly widened. "H-How did you know?" (Y/n) just chuckled. "You're sorta easy to read, Shigeo. I've noticed your deep thinking ever since we left school."
Mob formed a sweat, a light blush making his face as he looked away from her. "O-Oh.." It remained quiet for a small bit until (Y/n) turned her head over to him. "Y'know, you don't have to follow what society tells you."
"H-Huh..?"
The two had stopped walking at this point. (Y/n) glanced away for a moment. "You don't have to take the hero course like everyone else is doing. I know you're reluctant to use your Quirk, and you think you just harm everyone with them since they can go out of control sometimes." She then looks back at him and sends a comforting and warm smile. "But I think otherwise. You've helped a lot of people with your powers, actually. Just today, you gave that boss spirit a picture, a picture he really cherished and felt happy when you gave it to him."
She then gave a slight shrugged and chuckled again, "Heck, you've helped me many times even if you don't notice." (Y/n) looked at the ground. "Even if you don't like your powers, I just want to let you know that I do, and even if you think you hurt everyone with them, you don't, you help all the clients at work, you help Reigen-sen, and like said, you've helped me."
She paused, a small smile crept on her face. "You remember that 'silly' dream I had since I was a kid, how I wanted to join U.A., and become a hero like my grandma once was? I was always teased about it. Other students had said that I'll never make it and say I'm bluffing, but I was serious. And when I told you about it, you were one of the few who supported my dream, and I really appreciate it."
(Y/n) finally looks up at her friend and said. "Whether you join the hero course or not, I'll support you like you did to me."
Mob's eyes glowed at her small speech. He stared at her in awe, his mouth slightly parted as he watches (Y/n) slowly grow embarrassed from his gaze and turn red. She quickly looks away from him and started playing with a small web she made between her two index fingers. "Th-That's just what I wanted to say... You don't have to listen to me! Let's just go home!"
She begins pacing away, leaving Mob behind as he continued to watch with the same astonishment before breaking his daze and tried catching up to his flustered spider friend.

The Next Day - Salt Middle School
The school bell had rung and everyone had given their written-up papers on the teacher's podium and made their way to their seats, chatting with each a small bit about the high school they want to go to until their teacher had arrived in the class.
Like always, they got quiet and watch their teacher approach the podium, quickly taking note of the stacked papers and smiled at the class as he held the in his hands. "It seems like you guys got these written I assume, right?"
"Yup!"
"Yeah!"
The teacher just smiled and began looking through the papers and reading small snippets on where they want to enroll. His smile dropped though he came across one that piqued his interest. He rose a brow and said out loud. "Oh? It seems like two students here want to enroll in U.A. and into the hero course." As soon as the teacher said that, the class started mumbling and gossiping to each other with curiosity and confusion.
"U.A.? Isn't that one of the hardest schools to get in?"
"Only 0.2% get in! I doubt they'll get in with that low of a percentage!"
"Well good luck to whoever they are."
"Settle down class! Settle down!" The teacher exclaimed as the students calmed down and watch him look at the papers. "It seems that (L/n) (Y/n)," Instantly, (Y/n) wanted to die in her seat. The whole class looked at her as she smiled nervously and looked down at her desk, sweat forming as she can hear the class mumble about her. "and... Kageyama Shigeo? Want to join the course."
The whole class averted their eyes over to the bowl-cut haired boy, who flinched at their gaze and started sweating hard. His body slightly shook as he just stared at his desk. (Y/n) had looked up and stared at the timid boy. This was quite a surprise for her as well. She was sure that he was going to avoid using his Quirk against people and just go to the General Education, but this definitely took a turn.
Mob glanced over at (Y/n) and caught her gaze, instantly turning red as he looked away and back at his desk. The voices of his fellow classmates were reaching his ears and he couldn't help but listen in on them.
"(L/n) and Kageyama?"
"(L/n), I can sorta understand, but Kageyama? He doesn't look like the type to be a hero..."
"I honestly thought it was going to be someone else."
"Well, this is new."
"Leave them alone, if that's their dream then so be it."
On and on, the class continued their gossip until the teacher told them to shut up once again. After a while, everything went back to normal and the class resumed back to writing notes while (Y/n) watched Shigeo from afar, still surprised and proud of him of his decision. She then smiled and went back to her notes as the day continued on.
