The next morning at school, Sawyer was in the gym with the rest of the class as they used the climbing wall to get to the top and then swing back down. Scott and Allison were the two that were on display right then and it looked like Allison was beating Scott, but Sawyer knew for a fact he was going slow so he wouldn't show up his girlfriend. Plus, he may or may not have heard Scott mumble something about enjoying the view.
Sawyer and Stiles were set to go after them and Sawyer always feeling the constant need to have at least some part of his body touching Stiles, he was propped against the boy's legs as he sat on the floor. Finstock had tried to get the boy to stand up multiple times but Sawyer made an off hand joke about not being able to stand gym so he had to take a seat. It was just annoying enough to shut Finstock up and let the boy be since he wasn't bothering anyone else besides Stiles who complained his knees were going to go numb.
"Are you saying you're going weak in the knees for me, Stilinski?" Sawyer mused, glancing up at Stiles who rolled his eyes at Sawyer's comment.
"Piss off, Saw."
"That wasn't a no," Sawyer sang and stretched out his leg before him, smirking slightly when he saw Scott suddenly bolt up the wall and leaving Allison behind in the dust without the girl even realizing. "It's okay. I know I'm too boyishly cute for you to handle. I'll try to tone it down next time."
"I seriously fucking hate you," Stiles grumbled, flicking the top of Sawyer's head.
Sawyer opened his mouth to shoot another remark to Stiles when he noticed Allison at the top now next to Scott. She playfully glared at Scott before her foot kicked out and it sent Scott flying down to the ground where he stopped just above the plush mat below him. The cord jerked and it toppled Scott right down to the mat below him while Allison breezily slid down the rope with no problems.
Sawyer and Stiles, along with the rest of the class, began to laugh at poor Scott's expense and Finstock dropped down to the mat next to Scott, shaking his head. "McCall, I don't know why but your pain gives me a special kind of joy."
"You're not the only one, Coach!" Sawyer hollered, getting to his feet with the help of Stiles who hooked his arms underneath Sawyer's armpits to hoist him up. He walked over to the mat with Stiles and high fived Finstock. He waited for Scott to fumble his way out of the ropes and hand them over to Sawyer so he could take his turn next. Once Sawyer was in his safety straps, he turned to Stiles and slapped him in the center of his chest where STUD MUFFIN was plastered on his shirt with a muffin in between the two words. "Ready, Stud Muffin?"
Stiles poked his tongue into his cheek and started to climb up the wall before Sawyer could blink.
Sawyer slapped his hands to his sides and jumped onto the wall, catching up to Stiles in no time and made it to the top a few moments before Stiles did. He sent a cute smile to Stiles ━ completely missing the way Stiles' heart skipped over the yells of Finstock ━ and pushed off the wall to send him safely back to the mat with a grumbling Stiles to follow.
Next up the wall was Erica Reyes, a girl with messy blonde hair and pale skin that Sawyer had a class or two with. She typically kept to herself and didn't hang out with many people, choosing to eat her lunches in the library by herself while she did her homework. He knew she had a history of epilepsy because he witnessed one of her seizures in school and had to check her ring on what to do since he never dealt with one of those situations before. Erica had been whisked off to the nurse's office a few minutes later and an ambulance had came along with Erica's mom.
Erica appeared apprehensive about climbing the wall, her shaky, ring-clad fingers gripping the multi-colored rocks on the wall shaking the more she got up the wall. She had made it up a few rocks before she completely froze and pressed her forehead to the wall, her body beginning to visibly shake and Sawyer could hear the way the girl's heart pounded in her chest with fear.
"Oh, please . . . " Erica cried quietly and the class and Finstock all rushed up to the wall to check on her.
"Erica, dizzy?" Finstock called up to the girl, who stared up at the top of wall in fear. "Is it Vertigo?"
"Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear. She's just freaking out," Lydia corrected, crossing her arms and tipping her head back to look up at the frightened girl.
"Coach, maybe you should get her to come down. She's epileptic," Sawyer suggested, receiving shocked expressions from his the group at is knowledge. "Okay, seriously, I'm dumb but I'm not that dumb! I've seen one of her episodes so I would get her down before she hurts herself."
Finstock waved his hands around spastically almost reminding Sawyer of Stiles as his gaze snapped back over to Erica. "Why doesn't anybody tell me these things? Erica, you're fine. Just kick off from the wall. There's a mat here to catch you."
Erica blew out a shaky breath and slowly released her grip from the wall, causing her to slide down the rope and land safely on the mat. Sawyer offered the girl a small smile and helped her unhook herself from the rope. He was the resident gay bad boy, but that didn't make him the resident gay asshole. He was, as Devin liked to call him, a nice asshole. Just a boy filled with sarcastic comments for any occasion and the confidence to match with it. However, Sawyer never messed with anyone who didn't deserve and Erica was one of those kids who got picked on for a diagnosis she couldn't help.
The class around them began to laugh and Erica pushed her way through the crowd, tears pooling in her eyes out of embarrassment.
"Hey, why are you laughing? Last I saw, Erica made it a lot further than any of you pansies," Sawyer barked at the group of students, instantly shutting up half the boys in the room. He hummed and turned on his heel to make his way out of the gym when the bell above them rang to signal it was time for the end of the period.

"What do you mean tonight's not a good idea?" Stiles whined, pulling at the neck of his shirt to pull it over his head. He kept his focus primarily on Scott next to him instead of Sawyer who stood shirtless by his locker next to Scott's, trying not to let his gaze flicker over to Sawyer's toned stomach or arms. "Why isn't it a good idea?"
"I don't know. That thing we saw last night, Isaac missing, Allison's grandfather and all this stuff happening with Derek? It just doesn't feel right," Scott responded, taking out of his bookbag and shutting his locker closed.
Sawyer scoffed softly and turned to Scott with his light blue hoodie gripped in his hand. "No way, Scotty. You and Allison are going to come out with Stiles, Lydia and I to the ice rink and you're going to have a good time. A very good time because you and I both deserve a freaking break from the supernatural for one night."
"Plus, Stiles wants to have a good time!" Stiles chimed in, flailing his hands to gesture to himself after he pulled his black hoodie over his head. "Many, many times in a row. In many different positions."
"Sorry, Stiles, I don't do that stuff till the second date," Sawyer mused and chuckled Stiles merely glared at him and shoved his shoulder. "Hey, you're still not denying it."
"Hey, just because you're a werewolf, doesn't mean I don't know of the many several ways to hurt you. In many different positions."
"Oh, sounds kinky. When do we start, baby boy?"
Stiles went to shoot a comment at Sawyer when he noticed the way Scott's hand began to shake and all three of the boys' eyes fell to it. The boys could barely get out a word to Scott before the raven haired boy was out of the locker room with Sawyer and Stiles right on his heels. Stiles and Sawyer made it to the gym in time to see Scott catch Erica who had been on the wall in the middle of an epileptic seizure.
"Scott, turn her on her side!" Sawyer yelled, rushing over to Scott with the rest of the gym class that had piled out of the locker rooms to see what the commotion was all about. He dropped down next to Scott with Stiles and Allison.
"How did you know?" Allison breathed, her eyes flickering over to Scott over Sawyer's head as she gently ran her hands over the top of Erica's hair that had been pulled back into a bushy ponytail.
"I just ━ I just had a feeling."
And Sawyer had a feeling that this wasn't ending well.

By the time lunch rolled around, Erica's seizure had circulated through the school and Sawyer had scared off some of the students he'd heard talking horribly about the girl. He couldn't stand hearing other people be that blatantly disrespectful. It was tempting to give them a swift talking with his fist, but Sawyer really did not want to end up in Gerard's office. He didn't feel like ending up like the omega from the other night.
Sawyer was sat across from Scott at the lunch table while they waited for Stiles to talk to Vernon Boyd to hand over the keys. He drove the zamboni at the ice rink and was able to give them the key for the night for fifty bucks. Since Stiles was the one paying him, Scott and Sawyer had both stayed back to let Stiles handle it. Probably a bad idea, but Sawyer still had faith in his spastic best friend.
Kind of
"So, when are you going to tell Stiles you're in love with him?"
Sawyer's head whipped around from where he watched Stiles talk to Vernon about the keys. He narrowed his eyes at Scott who grinned cheekily around the fry he had popped into his mouth. "I will end your whole entire life, McCall."
"Sawyer, come on, man! Anyone with a pair of eyeballs can see the way you and Stiles look at each other."
"Scott, Stiles isn't even gay," Sawyer argued, motioning behind him to where Stiles tried to bump down the price for the keys. Something he was heavily failing at as Boyd just stared at the boy, chewing on his chips.
"Yeah, and we don't wolf out on the full moon," Scott countered with a scoff, picking apart the chicken tenders he'd taken for lunch. "You seriously have two ears that don't hear his skipping heart beat? Or did you just ignore it back at the gym and in the locker room when you were openly flirting with him?"
Sawyer groaned and threw his head back, rubbing his hands over his face as he resisted the urge to punch Scott in his puppy looking face. "Scott, I was teasing him, okay? I'm not going to go after a straight dude. I told you, I don't support to the toxicity of targeting a straight guy and abusing him to go out with me. I've gotten used to the fact that Stiles is straight and into girls like Lydia."
"Girls like Lydia? You mean the same girl that Stiles doesn't even look at? Dude, Stiles does not throw you off him when you get all soft, but everyone else he shoves away because he didn't want his personal space being invaded. You look at each other when the other doesn't think the other is paying attention. I am literally being suffocated by this sexual tension," Scott slammed a fist on the table and looked Sawyer directly in the eyes. "He. Likes. You. I know because unlike your blinded by love ass, I hear his heart beat."
Before Sawyer could get another word in, Stiles dropped into the seat next to Sawyer and beamed directly at him, dangling the keys in his face. Their faces were in each other's breathing space and Sawyer swore his heart froze in his chest as Stiles' bright hazel eyes dazzled in triumph. He could hear Scott's snort and he swiftly kicked the latino boy in the shin, earning a groan of protest from him. He quickly took the keys from Stiles and smiled back at him. "Knew you had it in you, buddy."
"I'll pick you up and then we'll get Scott from work before we head to the rink, got it?"
"You do know I can just come over, right? Devin's working and Eric's at his friend's house for some project later. I'll just do my homework at your house."
"You? Do homework?"
"Okay, okay, fine. Stiles you can do most of my homework while I do the minimum stuff I know."
"That's better."
"Uh . . . guys?" Scott called, earning the two bickering boys' attentions. He jerked his head towards the entrance of the cafeteria.
Sawyer furrowed his eyebrows and glanced over his shoulder to see Erica walk into the room. She had done a complete one-eighty from what she had been like before. Her blonde hair was curled beautifully as it fell down her back and she wore a tight leather mini skirt, white tank top and black leather jacket with leopard print high heels. It was almost like Sawyer had looked at a whole entirely different person from an hour ago in the gym.
"What . . . the holy hell . . . is that?" Lydia asked, slamming her hands on the table the three boys sat at.
"It's Erica," Sawyer breathed, trying to make sense of it all since Erica was never like that. She always wore jeans and hoodies to school and never dressed like she was about to walk the runway in a fashion show. The confidence that hung heavily in the air around her was also new and Sawyer tried to rack his brain for where that could have came from when just an hour ago she was being whisked off to the hospital to be checked over.
The three boys didn't even give Lydia a second glance before they grabbed their bookbags and rushed out after Erica who had taken a boy's apple and then walked away. They followed her out towards the side entrance of the school and froze at the top of the steps to see her approach Derek Hale's sports car. She sent the boys a wink over the hood of the car before she got into the passenger seat.
Sawyer sent a dark look towards Derek who sent the trio a smirk before he peeled out of the school's parking lot without a single word.
Yeah, this definitely wasn't ending well.
AUTHORS NOTE
Hi hey hello
Sawyer is my favorite resident gay and I will protect him with whole entire being. He openly flirts with Stiles, but tries to pass it off as teasing like we don't all see the heart eyes every time he looks at Stiles. It's a good thing our boy is cute.
