I heard a knock on the door and I quickly ran down the stairs before mum or dad could open the door and yell at Shawn.

As quickly I opened the door he gasped "Woah, you are beautiful" a smile spread over his lips and put my finger over my lips to show him that he should be quiet. I took a step out on the porch and closed the door behind me.

"I mean it, Harper. You look beautiful" his words made me blush ad I looked down on my red dress.

" Thanks, but you don't look so bad either" I looked at him from top to toe. Admiring the outfit he has chosen for tonight.

"Shall we?" he offered his folded arm and I was quick to hook my arm around it.

"So I have this idea, but it involves going to the city. Are you okay with that?" he asked on our way to the car. "Yeah, that's fine but I just need to be back by 10 in the morning" he opened the car door to me and stopped in his track. "Oh my god"

"What?" I looked back at him and jumped into the passenger seat. "First date and you already invite yourself to stay the night" "Wha-" "I don't know, I'm just a bit scandalized, that's all"

"N-no I just mean-" he interrupted me once again "Alright I have you- I have your back tonight" he smiled and closed the door. But before it got shut he opened it again. "If you- if you wanna stay the night, I mean if you- you want to" he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, due he himself didn't understand what he was about to come up with.

"You- you just wanna see how it goes?" he closed the car door and walked to the driver seat. I looked at him and just smiled "I think that it is someone who is a little bit of nervous for tonight" I giggled and a smile spread over his lips. "What? No. I'm cool, super cool" he ran his fingers through his hair. "I have never been cooler"

"Okay, let's just say that" I nodded my head and I could see on his face and his body language that he was really nervous. Which I see is pretty cute. "I'm not nervous" he giggled and his cheeks got a shade of pink and he rubbed his palms against his pants before he wrapped his hands around the steering wheel. I raised my eyebrows and put my lips together into a thin line. "Okay" I nodded and Shawn started the engine and drove away from my parent's house.

As we walked down the street we walked past a few restaurants. By every restaurant, I hoped that we would enter the door, but we just walked past them. I looked up at Shawn but he just looked me in front of him, but I can tell that he saw me looking at him. Due to his smile on his lips. "Nope we aren't going to eat at those restaurants" he shook his head and I whined my eyes.

Is he psychic? Can he read my thoughts?

"No, but it is pretty simple to know what you are thinking about, after having known each other for 8 years" he chuckled and looked down at me.

I wrapped my arms around his arm and pressed my cheek against his bicep right under his shoulder. I felt his warmth streaming through my body and I couldn't stop smiling. His right hand grabbed my elbow and ran his thumb over my skin.

"Here it is," he said proudly with a smile spread over his lips

"A- a cafe?" I looked up at him and raised one eyebrow.

"Yup, it was this cafe we went to on our first date. Common" he jerked his head towards the door and held it open for me.

"Ugh, I'm so full" I groaned and placed my hands over my stomach. "Well, I hope there is some room for dessert" "Dessert? I-I mean we just ate waffles" "I know, but I have a surprise. Or, it's not really a surprise we always do this. But still" he stood up and offered his hand and pulled me up from my chair.

"Where are we going?" I asked curiously when he opened the car door for me. "You'll see" he winked and closed the door.

"Awe, this is nice," I said and closed the car door behind me. Looking at the water that was lit up by the moonlight. "Come" he offered his hand and led me to the front of the car. He placed his hands under my arms which made me yelp, I rested my hands on his wide shoulders and he placed me on top of the engine head. He turned around and pushed himself up beside me on the engine head.

"This, is our dessert" he showed me a chocolate box and opened it, revealing all the chocolate pieces. "Are you trying to make me diabetic?" "Not at all" he laughed. "But this is kinda our thing"

"But how do I know what flavor it is?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "That's the whole point. It's like chocolate roulette. When you get a good one it's the others turn"

I took one chocolate piece that looked pretty tempting. I started to shew and liquor started to spread in my mouth. I made a disgusted face and continued to shew. "You didn't like that one?" Shawn laughed and shook his head. "No, I definitely didn't like it"

"Here, take this. I think that you are going to like this on" he gave me another piece of chocolate. I started to shew and when the silky strawberry spread in my mouth, I widened my eyes and nodded my head. "I really liked this one. Your turn" I turned the box to him.

I looked out at the water once again "Why did you take me here anyway?" "Well, we had our first kiss here. It was on the 1 June. And on the 1st every moth we drive here. And since it's the 1st today, I took you here" He started to unbutton his shirt "E-ehm" I looked at him confused and he just laughed.

"Don't worry. It's not what you think. We always bath on the 1st as well" he jumped down from the engine head and I couldn't stop looking at his great body. He helped me down from the engine head and for some reason, I felt comfortable. So comfortable that I could take off my dress in front of him.

I ran to the water but when the ice-cold water came in contact with my feet I ran away from the water, but Shawn's strong arms scooped me up from the ground and I yelped while he ran into the water with one arm hooked around my waist.

"Oh shit, it's cold" I laughed while I was shivering. Shawn swam colder to me, and my heart raised faster. His hazel eyes looked deep into mine, and his curls were wet and stuck to his forehead. His arms wrapped around my waist from behind and even though the water was ice cold his body was still warm, heating up my body.

We stayed like that for a few minutes, just enjoying the silence between us and his arms wrapped around me. "Do you wanna go up? Your entire body is covered with goosebumps and your lips starting to get blue" he giggled and rested his head on my shoulder.

I nodded my head and his arms slide away from my waist and I felt even colder by the lost of his body pressed up against mine.

When we got in the car he handed me a blanket and helped me to get it wrapped around my body before he wrapped his blanket over himself.

"I can't feel my fingers" I moved my shaky hands towards him and he cupped my hands with his big hands and moved them to his lips and blew warm air on them. Trying to make them warm again. We looked at each other in the eyes while he tried to make me warm again when all of sudden a wave of memory came over me.

*flashback*
"Shawn this isn't my home you know" I chuckled when he parked the car at a small beach.

"I know. But there is one thing I want to do" he smirked and jumped out of the car.

"Shawn what are you doing?" I looked at him while he took off his suit jacket and untied his tie. "I want to bath" "But we don't have any bathing clothes" "I know" he slipped out of his pants.

"Are you coming or what?" he asked while he unbuttoned his dress shirt. He walked to the shore and looked behind him when I closed the car door.

"Go into the water and don't look" I blushed and he did as he was told.

There I stood beside him with my arms crossed against my chest. Trying to cover up as much as possible. "It's ice-cold Shawn" I said with a shaky voice "Oh common. It's not that cold" Shawn chuckles and walking further into the water.

After a while the moon was high on the sky and the bright white light lit up that water. I wrapped my arms around my waist and my teeth chatter. "Are you cold?" he asked with a cocky smirk. "J-just a l-little b-bit" I said with a shaky voice.

He got closer to me and wrapped his arms around me and to be honest I didn't mind at all. I hid my face in the crook of his neck and we were quiet for a moment, just enjoying each other's company.

"Shawn?" I asked and took up my head from his neck and looked at him in my eyes. "Why are you so nice to me?"

"Because I like you" his voice was shaky and I could see that he started to blush "Like, I really really like you. I know that this can sound weird and stupid, but I'm in love with you Harper Traynor"

I cupped his cheeks and whispered "I think I'm in love with you too Shawn Peter Raul Mendes" before my lips came in contact with his. His one hand traveled up on my back and I pulled me even closer into him. "I have loved you for God knows how long" he said when he pulled away from the kiss
* End of flashback*

"Hey, Harper are you okay?" he placed his hand on my shoulder. "You kinda zoomed out a bit" "Yeah, I-I just remember our first kiss. But I don't remember anything else" I felt disappointed that I don't remember anything else. I looked down on my feets and I felt his big hand on my cheek, moving my head towards him.

His body relaxed and he looked relieved, he got a smile on his lips. "You're not disappointed that I don't remember anything else?" I raised one eyebrow "No" he shook his head and smiled.

"I'm just happy that you start to remember again"
