chapter twenty eight
yo, lockwolf?

JORDANNA SIGHED IN content as she felt his lips on her neck ━ her eyes fluttered open as the action woke her from her slumber. "Morning," she let out, turning on her side to face the hybrid.
"Morning, sweetheart," Klaus hummed, his fingers moving as they started drawing patterns on the bare skin of her body.
Her eyes raked over the two of them ━they laid naked under a small blanket on the couch, bodies pressed tightly together. A huff left her lips as she moved her body, laying her head on Klaus' chest as his arm wrapped around her shoulders ━ pulling her into him. Her eyes began to shut as he ran his fingers through the ends of her hair. "I'll be out of town for business, but I'll be back in no time," Klaus told her, eyes softening as she turned her head slightly to look at him. He fought off a grin at the confused look on her face ━ it always made her look so pure.
"I'll come back to you as soon as I can," Klaus lifted his hand to her cheek. "I promise."
Jordanna nodded, the confused look still present on her face. "Alright, but if you take the piss I'll hurt you so badly not even your vampire healing can help you."
Klaus chuckled as he pressed a small kiss to the top of her head.
God, he really did love this woman.

Jordanna, Caroline and Tyler all sat in one of the rows at Mystic Falls Church, the blonde listened intently to her best friend tell her boyfriend all the different ways she was going to murder him.
A smile graced the witches lips as Stefan entered, stopping in front of the trio. He sent his best friend a wink, placing his hand on her shoulder as he looked at the hybrid. "What are you doing here, Tyler?"
The Lockwood scoffed, "being sensitive to the community's loss."
"With a hunter out to get you?" Stefan raised his eyebrows, sharing a look with Jordanna.
"I'm not letting a hunter stop me from where I'm supposed to be," Tyler responded carelessly with a shrug.
"Also," Caroline spoke up, a small smirk on her lips. "If he shows his face I'm gonna kick his ass." Jordanna rolled her eyes in disgust, Caroline and Tyler were like that couple ━ the couple that always broke up then swore they were never gonna get back together but did. Caroline felt awful for getting back with him as he hurt Jordanna but the witch merely shrugged it off telling her it was alright since Klaus did try to kill her as well.
They'll get over it, eventually.
Stefan shook his head, taking a seat in front of the three behind Matt, Jeremy and newly turned vampire, Elena.
"Before we begin the mass, we'd like to open the floor to anyone who would like to share a memory about our late friends on the Town Council," Carol spoke from her place at the podium. "I know that April Young wanted to say a few words about her dad. April? April, are you still here, honey?"
Jordanna pursed her lips, looking around for the familiar girl. Weird. Carol frowned, looking down at the podium before looking up to the mass of people. "Is there anyone else who would like to share a recollection or a memory about Pastor Young?"
Jordanna awkwardly scratched her head as nobody stood up, a choked out laugh escaped her lips before Caroline roughly elbowed the girl ━ shooting her a look. Finally, Elena stood up, shakily making her way towards the podium just as the doors swung open. Jordanna, Caroline, Tyler and Stefan all turned their heads to the door watching as Damon entered. Jordanna rolled her eyes as the Salvatore dipped his hands into the bowl of holy water before touching his head, chest and shoulders.
"Dickhead," Jordanna mumbled as he passed her, taking a seat next to his brother. The vampire shot her a look of distaste to which she responded to by raising her middle finger.
Her mother would kill her if she knew how she was acting in a Church.
Elena stood nervously in front of the podium. "I, uh, when I talked to April earlier she was kind of nervous about coming to speak, and now that I'm up here I'm kind of nervous too." The doppelganger started, gripping onto the podium tightly.
"The worst day of loving someone is the day you lose them," Elena spoke, stopping as she smelt blood.
Caroline froze and looked between the other two, "do you smell that?"
"Blood," Tyler clarified.
Jordanna raised her eyebrows as she relaxed into her seat, she would loveee to see Elena react to the smell and get killed by this hunter guy.
What a way to make a great day better.
"Nobody move," Damon whispered, eyes widening in panic. "Don't turn round it's a trap."
Jordanna's amusement rose, she wondered what would happen to her if she turned round. The temptation was real, trust me ━ but she didn't feel like getting killed just yet. Her gaze landed on Elena and a smirk fell on her lips, her eyes met Caroline's who tried to hide her own smile.
"I, um," the brunette breathed out before the veins under her eyes started showing. The witch twirled a piece of hair around her finger, wondering what would happen to Elena if she got caught. Shot? Staked? Beheaded, maybe?
An evil smile graced the witches lips as she lifted her hand to her ear, her finger found the back of her earring before she harshly pressed down. Her eyes flickered up to Elena's as she pulled her finger from the back of her ear, tauntingly waving the bloodied skin.
Damon turned around in fury before his brother rose from his seat and walked to the podium. Grabbing the brunette's hand he led her back to her seat.
"Please turn to page forty two in your hymn book. Let us join together in a song," the priest spoke, taking the attention away from Elena.
"The blood, Stefan. I can smell it," Elena gasped as she leant on the man, Jordanna and Stefan shared a brief look at the doppelganger's actions. "There's so much."
"It's alright, just remember what we talked abut. Focus, push back, come on you can do this," Stefan encouraged, Elena shook her head as the veins under her eyes continued to appear. She glanced back to see Jordanna sat with a false smile on her lips, her free hand putting pressure on the small wound causing more blood to flow. Elena gritted her teeth and turned back around.
"What's wrong with her?" Matt asked in concern, looking over to his ex-girlfriend.
"She's hungry, she hasn't fed."
"So, get her out of here," Matt cocked an eyebrow.
"Oh, Matthew," Jordanna shook her head in amusement.
"I can't someone's watching us," Stefan retorted in annoyance. He should've left Damon to collect the girl, he only grabbed her because he didn't need her outing them to the council ━ that's why he was helping her with control.
"I'm gonna' rip his head off now," Damon growled.
"Do that, Damon, and you risk exposing all of us," Stefan spat, causing his brother to huff.
"Well, I think the risk will be slightly diminished when I, you know, rip his head off," the older brother snapped back. Jordanna rolled her eyes again.
"Stefan, I'm losing it," Elena muttered, falling further into the man.
"You have ten seconds before I go old fashioned on the new guy," Damon hissed.
"Don't do it, Damon," Stefan sighed. "Please."
Damon took one more glance over at Elena before making his mind up. "Three, two, one. Bye." The man stated sarcastically, beginning to stand from his seat as Matt spoke up.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. Elena, feed from me," the Donovan rushed out. Damon's head snapped in his direction with a look of disbelief.
Jordanna sat up slightly, a look of interest flashed in her eyes. "Now, this is interesting."
"It's okay, everyone will think you're upset. Just feed from me," the blonde told the doppelganger.
Elena looked towards Stefan to which he hesitantly nodded his head at. She swiftly moved away from the Salvatore and into the arms of Matt. "It's okay," he soothed as Elena moved her face into his neck, beginning to feed from him.
After she finished she moved away from him, "that blood, I can still smell it. It's got to be April, we have to help her."
"We can't risk it," Stefan denied, shaking his head.
"Then I'm going to do it," Elena argued, standing from her seat before the vampire pulled her back down. Jordanna sighed in boredom, plucking a nail file from her bag and began filing her nails ━ earning a look of disbelief from the blonde besides her.
"What?" Jordanna shrugged her shoulders.
"We're at a funeral," Caroline hissed.
"So?" Jordanna pulled a face. "I didn't like the guy."
"Just because you didn't like the guy doesn't mean you can be disrespectful," the blonde snatched the file from her hands. "Just shut up and sit still."
"Okay, mom," Jordanna mocked. The witch raised her eyebrows as Tyler brushed past her, "yo, Lockwolf. What the fuck are you doing?"
The Lockwood ignored her and made his way to the podium. "Excuse me. I just wanted to say a few words about Pastor Young," the hybrid spoke out. "Back in first grade, I was a brat who couldn't be bothered with team sports. Didn't care much about anything that didn't affect me. But he was the one who helped me understand how important it is to be a part of a team ━ a community. Of giving yourself up for the sake of━"
A shot rang through the church as Tyler's body spun before falling to the ground. "Tyler!" Caroline screamed, dragging Jordanna over to the front of the church with her.
"Oh god," Carol began to panic.
Kneeling down, Caroline ripped the stake from her boyfriend's chest. "I'm going to kill that bastard," Tyler seethed, coughing violently.
"Damon's way ahead of you. Stay here, I have to help him," Stefan replied, turning away before stopping as Elena abruptly grabbed his forearm.
"What about April?" She asked.
"I got it. Go," Caroline nodded at the Salvatore. Stefan stared at her for a moment before nodding back in response.
"I have to call an ambulance," Carol muttered frantically.
"Mom, I'm fine," Tyler told her.
"The whole town just watched you get shot. I'm calling an ambulance," she told her son firmly, walking away.
"I hate funerals," Jordanna groaned, slumping her body down onto the stairs.

Jordanna sat on her porch, a cigarette in hand as she stared up at the sky. A thin blanket wrapped around her shoulders, covering the bare skin that her dress didn't reach ━ her head snapped to the side upon hearing footsteps. Caroline stood besides Stefan with a small smile, both holding lanterns in their hands.
"Hey," Caroline smiled, taking a seat next to her best friend on the porch swing as Stefan stood in front of the two ━ with his own smile.
"Hey," Jordanna greeted with furrowed brows, she put her cigarette out before looking over at the two. "What're you doing here?"
Caroline held the extra lantern out to her best friend with a grin.
"What's this for?" Jordanna took the object, raising her brows as she looked between the two.
"We need to start healing, JJ. We've all lost so much especially recently. I think we're numb to it, we push it away, we make a joke of it. Ignore how we feel, we've never just let ourselves grieve," Stefan answered, snatching Jordanna's lighter from her hand.
"What? And this is how we do it, by lighting lanterns?" Jordanna questioned sceptically.
"Yeah," Stefan shrugged his shoulders before lighting his own lantern for the second time that night. Caroline and Stefan had already done it with the others but Jordanna wasn't there so they brought it to her, she needed to grieve as well. She deserved to just as much as the others did. "This is for my uncle Zach, my friend Lexi and for Alaric."
Caroline took the lighter as Stefan handed it to her, "this is for my dad and Tyler's."
Jordanna raised her eyebrows as Caroline held the lighter out to her, she took it with a sigh. "This is for my mom, Alaric," the witch rolled her eyes. "Hell even Finn." Though she only spoke to The Original little, he didn't deserve to die. Finn didn't like who he was, she understood that ━ sometimes she found herself thinking the same thing, besides Rebekah cared for him. So if anything she did it for her.
The three let their lanterns go up to the sky, Stefan wrapped his arms around the two girls, leaning his head against Jordanna's.
"You soppy bastards," the witch chuckled as she looked over at her two best friends before the three made their way inside.
