MOMBIE DEAREST
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS JOSIE!" Guinevere whispered into the ear of Josie Saltzman, the girl that the blonde had just snuck up behind. The brunette jolted slightly away in shock as she turned to face the Elison girl.
Giggling, Josie pulled the girl into a hug, her arms naturally going around Guinevere's waist. As they pulled from the embrace, the blonde placed her lips upon Josie's cheek, giving her a quick peck before moving to stand next to her, gently taking the Saltzman girl's hand in her own.
Guinevere turned to look at the blonde that stood in front of her, remembering the slight argument they had the night prior. Deciding to be the bigger person and for the sake of the twins' birthday, the short haired blonde smiled softly at Lizzie.
"Happy 16th birthday, Lizzie. Loving the hairpin." She spoke as she made eye contact with the blonde.
Lizzie smiled back, clearly in a good mood, though of course Guinevere already knew why. "Thank you, Guinevere. Today is going to be a great day. I can feel it."
"Someone is in a very good mood." Guinevere said as she playfully smirked at the blonde while she swung her and Josie's interlocked hands back and forth slightly. "You're little rendezvous with Rafael last night, wouldn't have anything to do with that, would it?"
The blonde's eyes widened exponentially as the Elison girl spoke. "How do you know about that Who told you?"
Guinevere laughed heartily at the Lizzie's freakout. "Relax, Lizzie. I heard you say it just before I came into the room. No one else knows."
The blonde Saltzman girl visibly relaxed though before she could say anything, a familiar voice spoke up from the doorway causing Guinevere and Josie to turn around and Lizzie to glare at the individual.
"Happy birthday, Witches!" Penelope announced from her place by the door as she held onto two cupcakes with a single candle sticking out of them.
"Oh look. It's Satan, in a crop top." Lizzie remarked as she moved closer to the Park girl, crossing her arms over her chest defensively. "Come to burn my world down?"
"Retro. Princess Di before she got style. I dig it." Penelope snipped at the blonde, pointing at the hairpin that sat in Lizzie's hair.
As Lizzie reached up her hand to the pin, Josie spoke up. "What do you want?"
"Oh just to cheer you two up." Penelope nonchalantly began, shrugging her shoulders as she did. "You know cause your Mom's not coming."
"What?" The twins uttered in unison.
"Uh oh. I heard them cancel her pickup at the office. I thought you knew. Oops." Penelope sympathized, though her actions gave off a very clear falseness to them. Angrily, Lizzie lifted her hand and used her magic to swing the door shut in the Park girl's face before turning to face her sister and her girlfriend.
As Josie and Lizzie held eye contact, clearly upset about their mother not being there for their birthday, Guinevere sighed before squeezing lightly on Josie's hand, silently letting the girl know she was there for her.

As Guinevere helped set up the party for the twins, she kept glaring over at Penelope who was carrying boxes of food to the long white table that sat in the grand hall. Apparently though, she hadn't been as secretive about as she had hoped when Penelope spoke up without even looking at the blonde.
"Do you have a problem with me?" The Park girl uttered before looking at Guinevere, a inquisitive look upon her face.
Sighing, the blonde grabbed a box of decorations before sauntering over to the table, stopping to stand next to Penelope.
"I do in fact have a problem. What is wrong with you, Penelope? Why would you tell the girls that their Mom wasn't coming." Guinevere angrily inquired as she look at the short haired brunette beside her.
Penelope shrugged her shoulders. "That was just for Lizzie."
"No matter if it was just for Lizzie, do you seriously have to act like this? Could you seriously not just let them enjoy their birthday without you bothering Lizzie?" The blonde huffed taking out the punch bowl from the box, setting it up in the middle of the table.
Suddenly a male voice came up from behind them causing both girls to turn around to see MG making his way over to them. "You're lucky I respect women and that I shun all forms of toxic masculinity, or else you and I would be throwing down right now." He said as looked intently at Penelope. "Even if you can kick my ass."
"Dude, I am here to help."
"By telling Lizzie and Josie that their Mom isn't coming?" The Greasley boy quipped at the brunette.
"Told you." Guinevere spoke as she gestured towards MG with her hand.
"As I told blondie over here, that was just for Lizzie, who is taking Rafael as her date instead of you." Penelope responded to the boy.
Guinevere looked at MG, a look of confusion on her face. "Wait, you like Lizzie?"
MG look at her scared before grabbing onto Penelope's arm and dragging her across the room, uttering to the blonde. "You heard nothing."
The Elison girl sighed as she turned back around to the decorations, muttering to herself. "You'd think he would remember he was a vampire and compel me to forget but nope."

As the day went on and the the party had been set up, Guinevere had retired back to her room in order to get ready. After getting changed, fixing her hair and putting on her makeup, the blonde made her way out of her room, closing the door behinde her.
When she stood outside the twins' room, she breathed in deeply before releasing it. The Elison girl slowly brought her hand up and knocked lightly on the door. But when no one answered, she wiggled the doorknob only to find it locked.
Guinevere placed her hand upon the door, a red glow emitted around her hand before the door flew open showing the blonde an empty room. "Josie?" She called out, hoping maybe the girl was simply in the bathroom. Though when Guinevere got no reply back, she knew that the brunette Saltzman girl was no where to be seen.
Sighing, she closed the door again before making her way down to the party, hoping to find Josie. As she walked, she thought of reasons as to why Josie hadn't been in her room where she said they would meet before going to the party.
Had Lizzie told her about their argument the night before? Did Josie simply not want to be around Guinevere anymore? Her mind flooded with worry as she reached the grand hall where the party was in full swing.
The blonde glanced around the room, not being able to see Josie anywhere. Suddenly, she became anxious and wondered if Josie had left of her own volition or if she was forced. Guinevere knew that no matter what Josie wouldn't miss her own party for Lizzie's sake.
Guinevere ran outside trying to find the girl, though having no luck. As she turned a corner, she ran in Hope, who had changed from her usual attire to a maroon dress.
"Hope, have you seen Josie?" Guinevere inquired, worry evident in her voice as she spoke.
"No, why? Isn't she at the party?" The Mikaelson girl grabbed on to the blondes arms to keep her steady.
Guinevere rapidly shook her head, her breath slowly down. "No and she wasn't in her room. I think something has happened to her."
"Come with me." Hope said grabbing hold of the blonde's wrist, before pulling her in a new direction. As they ventured further, they came across Dr. Saltzman who was holding a woman harshly against a tree trunk.
"Dr. Saltzman. Josie is gone." Guinevere spoke up grabbing his attention.
"Trust me. I know." The man uttered as he glared at the woman in front of him.

Guinevere and Hope, along with Penelope and MG, who they had met along with way, sauntered into the Cemetary, shovels in hand ready to find and save Josie.
"MG. Listen for her breathing." Hope demanded as they walked.
MG stopped in his place causing the three girls to stop with him. "Hold on. I hear something. Shovel." He said grabbing a shovel from Penelope's hands. He moved forward and began shoveling at the ground, moving dirt away when a hand emerged from the ground.
The top of a body came from the ground and latched onto MG's leg causing the Greasley boy to fall to the ground. Penelope ran forward and stabbed the zombie in the shoulder with the metal end of the shovel.
Though when it appeared to do nothing, MG grabbed the shovel and yelled, "It wont work." Before impaling the zombie directly in the head, stopping all movement.
"To kill a walker, you gotta go for the brain. Everyone knows that." MG said as he lifted himself up from the ground.
"MG, this isn't the Walking Dead." Guinevere sighed as she looked at the boy, her grip on the shovel in her hand tightening in fear.
"Just call it a zombie." Penelope spoke as she gestured towards the now dead-undead creature. Suddenly monstrous groans filled the cemetery as multiple zombies began emerging from the graves.
"Zombies." Hope remarked as she looked around. "Plural."
MG then proceeded to take down two different zombies, decapitating them. "Woo. Two for two, baby."
"We can get the rest, just find Josie." Hope commanded the Greasley boy as the girls all stood facing the zombies, shovels held up in defense.
"And fast." Guinevere added as MG began running off.
"How do you want to do this? Magic?" Hope inquired from the girls as she looked back at them. The Park girl spoke up, glancing at the approaching zombies as she did. "I say we DIY it and pretend they're Lizzie Saltzman."
Hope proceeded to shrugged her shoulders "Works for me."
"Not the time, guys." Guinevere said before slamming the shovel directly into the head of a zombie.
After wacking a few more zombies upside the head, the girls had cleared their area and began following after MG, who they found struggling on the cemetery floor, against a zombie. Guinevere ran forward and daggered the zombie through the back of its head.
"MG, we are running out of time. Josie is running out of time. Find her." The blonde demanded, her voice filled with worry and irritation.
"Watch out." The Greasley boy yelled to Hope who turned around the see a zombie right behind her. The Mikaelson girl struggled with the undead creature, yelling out at Penelope. "Penelope, Axe."
The Park girl lobbed the Axe at the girl who caught it before quickly swinging it at the zombie, who's head came flying off, making contact with the ground.
"Damn it, MG. Get up and find her." The Mikaelson girl spoke down to the boy who lay on the ground.
"There's too much noise." He uttered as he lifted himself from the cemetery floor.
"Well listen harder. Pretend you're at a beach or something."
MG closed his eyes, trying to single out the sound of Josie over all of the groans from the Zombies. His eyes shot open before he spoke. "I got her."
MG then took off running, the three girls following behind. They quickly found the boy who was digging at the ground with his hands. A single hand shot out from the ground before both MG and Guinevere grabbed hold of it and pulled the girl from the makeshift grave.
Josie emerged from the grave, covered in dirt and crying.
"The Talisman. It worked." Hope spoke as she looked at the necklace that sat around Josie's neck.
Josie placed her hand over the Talisman before sobbing out a question. "What's it supposed to do?"
"Make quiet things heard."
Guinevere gripped onto Josie's shoulders and lifted the girl from the ground. The blonde ripped off some of the fabric from her dress before using it to wipe away some of the dirt that surrounded Josie's face.
"I'm so glad you're okay." The Elison girl muttered as she looked at the brunette in front of her. Josie quickly wrapped her arms around the girls waist and pulled her closer in an embrace of comfort. Guinevere threw her arms around Josie's neck, placing her cheek against the top of the brunette's head.
