╰┈˚ · ° . WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE Argent's apartment building, we found a wounded Chris Argent still bleeding from his head and slumped in tiredness against the open front door.
Now, the man— as his daughter helped him take care of the wound— started to tell us the story of his encounter with the same exact creatures made of shadows.
"His eyes were glowing." Scott said, talking about the creatures we had just fought.
"There was something almost ritualistic about it." Chris Argent started. "Like it was looking right into his soul."
"That's the same thing it did to me." Isaac agreed.
"That's what it did to everyone." Allison told as she cleaned her father's wound.
"Not everyone. They only came after the werewolves." Scott corrected his ex-girlfriend
"And Lydia."
"Anyone with a connection to the supernatural." I said. "She might not be a werewolf but she is still a supernatural creature."
"Then who was the guy they went after in Japan?" Isaac asked, referring to the older man's own history with the darkness-made creatures.
"A kumicho. A Yakuza boss. It was my first gun deal. I was only 18. It was supposed to be a simple exchange, except Gerard left out the minor
detail of the buyers being Yakuza. He wanted to see if I could
adapt in the moment. Testing my ability to improvise."
"Or your ability to survive." Allison commented bitterly. Gerard Argent was a sore subject for the girl after he had literally brainwashed her.
"The moment the sun went down it was like they just materialized out of the shadows."
"They are made of it." Alec said. "I could feel it and somehow they were too corporeal for me to use them."
"They had swords, not curved like katanas but straight, black steel. Like ninjatos."
"What did they want?" Scott asked.
"To get to the kumicho. They cut down every living thing in their way."
"Did they mark him like they did us?" Isaac asked, and as he said that– him, like Alec and I— couldn't help but touch the burned sign behind our ears.
"Not exactly." The Argent hunter said "They just killed him when he transformed. Teeth sharper than claws made of metal and his eyes... they were like the void."
"What was he?" The question came from Scott.
"I don't know. But, there might be someone who does. There were a few others who survived that night. One of them was a man named Katashi... They called him Silverfinger because of an unusual prosthetic. And it looked like he was getting ready to take them all on himself. I've known for a while Katashi was in the country. I spent yesterday tracking him down."
"Didn't look like he wanted to be found." Isaac said, pointing at the wound on the man's forehead.
"Not particularly, no."
"You think he knows what they are? Or what they want?" Scott asked, a little beam of hope shining through all the dark.
"Maybe."
"What if he doesn't want to talk?"
"What if he doesn't even remember you?"
The hunter stood up, opening the wooden box that was on his desk, turning it around to show us what was stored inside. Fragments of a mask, the same one that those creatures wore. "He'll remember this. I know I didn't kill it. I'm not sure you can. But I slowed it down long enough
for us to get out of there."
"What was behind the mask?" Scott asked as he inspected one of the fragments closer.
" Darkness..." The man said, "Absolute darkness."

╰┈˚ · ° . We only had time for a quick shower before we had to actually go back to school. Well, I went to school, Alec fell asleep just as his head touched the pillow.
When I arrived at school, the twins were shadowing Scott, annoying the alpha a good lot that I was sure he was going to hug me in relief when he saw me.
"We need to talk with Stiles, and let him know everything that happened last night." Scott said to the twins making sure to let them know with his tone that 'we' was only me and him.
"Meaning no busybody disparate to be in his pack twins." I added with a saccharine smile. And since Scott didn't even sighed, I knew that they were really getting on his nerves.
"No."
"Yes." Scott said more firmly, "And I don't want you listening in. No wolf hearing."
"How would you even know?"
"I'm a true alpha. You have no idea what I can do." He said before taking my wrist and dragging me away to find Stiles.
"Well, that was coky."
"Shut up."
"I'm a true alpha, you two ex-alpha have nothing on me, bitch." I said in a lower tone trying to imitate his voice and with much overdramatics.
"Oh my god. You are worse than Stiles sometimes." This time he did sigh.
"Excuse me? That was very offensive." I scoffed. "No one is worse than Stiles."
Fortunately for him, we saw Stiles before he had to answer. But the human boy seemed almost maniac when we reached him.
Stiles dragged us to the chemistry class, not even giving us the time to tell him what had happened at the party with the darkness creatures.
"So then she starts talking about phosphors and the key having chemicals on it, right? And so that made me think of the chemistry closet and the fact that someone had to let Barrow in..." He stopped talking when he looked at the board. "It's gone. Okay, it doesn't matter though. It doesn't matter. I've still got the key." Stiles ran towards the closet, his keys in hand as he searched for a specific one.
I exchanged a concerned look with Scott, this was not the usual hyperactive Stiles. Something was wrong.
"What the hell? I had it... I had it here. I had it here this morning, I swear
to god, I had it this morning." Stiles frantically searched each key, his heartbeat so loudly thumping in his chest.
"Okay." I said in a calm tone, posing a hand on top of his own taking the set of keys. "Let me see." As I searched each key, trying it in the keyhole of the closet door of the chemistry lab. No one worked. And when I looked at him shaking my head, his breathing pattern increased.
"The key you were talking about last night?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, I showed it to you, right? Didn't I show it to you?" Stiles asked.
"No, you just told me about it. I never actually saw it."
"Did I show it to you?" The human asked, turning towards me.
"No." I shook my head.
Stiles looked towards the board again, walking towards it with tear-filled eyes. "I was here a couple of hours ago. And the message left to Barrow spelling Kira's name was right there on the board in my handwriting and I had the key to the chemistry closet."
"So you unlocked the chemistry closet so Barrow could hide in it from the cops and then you wrote him a message to kill Kira?"
"I know how it sounds..."
"Stiles, Lydia was the one that deciphered the code. You probably didn't even know what it was." I said, being aware to keep my tone steady and as calm as I could.
"Yeah, I know, but look at this." He took from his pocket a piece of paper, an article talking about Barrow. "This is the news report that came out
about Barrow when they caught him, okay? About the shrapnel bomb
that he used. See this? See what he did? He put nuts, bolts and screws. And then he hid the bomb and the detonator in a box that he wrapped as a birthday present. What does that sound like to you?"
"The Coach." I muttere, aware of the weird coincidence.
"The joke we played on coach." Scott realized too.
"That was my idea." Stiles said "Remember? That was my idea. That's no coincidence. It can't be."
"I don't want to sound like I'm trying to tell you that you're wrong. But I don't think you're trying to kill people either."
Stiles crumpled the paper in his shaky hand after Scott's words, gaze aimed at the board "It was here. It was all here."
After another concerned look exchanged between us two, Scott said to the other boy. "Dude, are you feeling okay? You're looking really tired."
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just haven't been sleeping really..."
"Why don't you go home? Take a sick day or something."
I placed a hand on Stiles' arm, offering a soft smile, "Come one, I'll take you."
───── ⋆⋅⋆。 ゚☽𖦹☾ ゚。⋆⋅⋆ ─────
╰┈˚ · ° . "Are you sure about this?" I asked Stiles as I parked my car into the hospital parking lot.
"Yeah, yeah. I just-" He stumbled through his words, eyes red rimmed, and dark bags underneath them.
"Then let's go inside."
Melissa McCall was at the front desk when we arrived, wearing a teal scrub and her curly hair held back by a clip. "Dr. Gardner's not back until next week. Do you want to try waiting for one of the urgent care doctors or... Stiles. Are you alright?
"I don't know." Tears started to well into his eyes once again, his voice shaking. "I guess... I guess not really."
It hurted more than I wanted to admit seeing him like that.
"All right, kiddo. All right. Come with me. It's okay." Melissa McCall said, her tone so soothing that for a second even my own heart beat stabilized.
She led him to a room, me quickly and silently following closely behind them.
"You don't need to stay here if you don't want to." He said, turning towards where I was sitting on the chair next to the bed.
"If something happens then I'll go. Now I have nothing better to do." I chucked trying to remain somewhat positive.
He tried to roll his eyes, but as tired as he was they just closed before reopening. Melissa then started to ask her questions.
"Blackouts. But not for that long. And sleepwalking, which I used to do a lot as a kid." Stiles started to list his symptoms. "Um... Also having some
really bad anxiety."
"Panic attacks?"
"Yeah, a couple. Oh, and I temporarily lost the ability to read. But that might have had more to do with this giant magic tree and a whole
human sacrifice thing."
"I recall something vaguely about that, yes." Plastering on an amused smile, Melissa commented. "How many hours of sleep are you getting?"
"Eight."
"A night?"
"In the last three days." This is worse than I had expected. And from how her face fell, even Melissa agreed with my silent thought, "Yeah, definitely eight."
"Been feeling irritable?"
"Yeah. Possibly to the point of homicide."
"Inability to focus?"
"No, the Adderall's not working."
"Impulsive behavior?"
"More than my usual? Hard to tell.2"
"Vivid dreams during the day?"
"Okay, basically all of the above. Do you know what this is?" Stiles asked.
"I think so." With a comforting smile Melissa said. But the syringe in her hands did really speak of comfort. It actually made me sit straighter.
"Uh, what's that?"
"Do you trust me?"
"When you're not holding a needle."
"I kinda have to agree with him on that." I commented making the older woman chuckle.
"It's midazolam. A sedative." She injected him with the medicinals as she said that.
"Why'd you give me a sedative?"
"Because you, Stiles, are one profoundly sleep-deprived young man. You need rest and you need it now. Lie down." As she spoke, Melissa guided him down before covering him with the blanket.
"Okay, how long's it take to... Oh. Not long at all." In his mid-state of sleepless and being awake, Stiles' hand reached the side searching for my hand.
"Get some rest." Melissa said, smiling down at Stiles before turning towards me. "Both of you apparently."
"Thanks, mom." Stiles mumbled under his breath as the woman stepped back. It was heartbreaking to see it. "Ellie." He called me. Voice not louder than a whisper. "Can you stay?"
I inhaled a breath as my own eyes started to tear up. "I'll stay."
As soon as I was certain he was asleep, I looked at the nurse. "Why do I have the feeling that you don't think this is just because he is tired?" I asked, dread coating my insides.
She offered me a smile, a comforting hand on my shoulder. "You are a good friend, Elizabeth. I'm happy that even in all of this, they founded you."
"They are my family." I said. "Just don't tell them that, alright." I chuckled as I brushed away the stray tear that fell.
───── ⋆⋅⋆。 ゚☽𖦹☾ ゚。⋆⋅⋆ ─────
╰┈˚ · ° . "I can't believe you are eating my Jello." Stiles grumbled as he glared at me.
"I'm hungry." I shrugged my shoulders. "And you were asleep."
"I'm not asleep anymore so give me my Jello." With a quick and quite awkward jump, he threw himself at me and literally made us fall onto the floor.
"Get off me!" I yelled as I tried to not use my supernatural strengths to yank him off of me. "Stiles!"
"My Jello!" He let out what seemed like a battle yell, arm stretching to reach the container of red jelly in my hand.
"I'm going to break your arm if you don't get off of me."
He grunted when my feet landed on his side, "Did you just kick me?"
The door opened and a cough quickly followed. "What are you two doing?"
We probably looked like 10 years old. Fighting for Jell-O, on the floor.
Stiles and I snapped our head towards each other, a glare in our eyes as we tried to let the other speak.
"Anyway, I'm going home now." Melissa said with an amused smile curling her lips.
And at the same time she said that, my phone pinged in my pocket.
Alec
The new creatures trying to kill us all are after Scott.
Derek and I are going to his house.
Ellie
Coming.
"I'm coming too" I said to the nurse as I stood up. "Is almost sunset and I'm sure those creatures are going to come out again." Then I turned towards Stiles. "Are you going to be fine here?"
The human pursed his lips as he too stood up. "Yeah, yeah. You go and let me know if something happens, alright."
"I will. Try to get some more sleep." I told him.
"Alright get out of here, Jell-O stealer." He scoffed as I took the last bite of the Jell-O sending him a saccharine smile.
"These creatures..." Melissa started as we walked side by side through the hallways of the hospital, "Are they really that dangerous?"
"We don't know what they are or what they want. This is the dangerous part." I revealed before muttering under my breath, "Know your enemy."
"Sun Tzu?"
I let out a laugh mixed with a scoff, "Gerald Argent loved this quote but he wasn't that wrong about this, at least. Knowing your enemy can make the difference between staying alive or not."
"Hey." We turned our heads to the side, and in one of the cairs in the waiting area, there was Sebastian.
"Sebastian, hi." Melissa smiled at the boy.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Waiting for the doctor to come back with my meds." He said with a winch, "I forgot to have them prescribed and now I'm almost out." I
I directed a stern look at the boy, knowing really well that this hadn't been the first time that he had forgotten about it. "Seb."
"I know, I know. It's not easy to remember, okay?"
"You have a bone marrow transplant, Sebastian. You have to be careful with your medication."Sternly, Melissa said to the boy who looked down looking chastised.
"Yeah, I know." He sighed before changing the subject. "How is Stiles?"
"Better now that he slept."I replied, "We have to go now, the sun is about to set and-"
"And those creatures are going to appear at any minute, I know." He nodded his head, "Let me know how it goes."
───── ⋆⋅⋆。 ゚☽𖦹☾ ゚。⋆⋅⋆ ─────
╰┈˚ · ° . I arrived at the McCall household minutes after Melissa, and just as the sun started to lower in the sky.
I entered through the back door, and there in the kitchen, there was Scott, and next to him Kira, and then Melissa and Rafael McCall.
"Scott!" Behind them in the dark living room, the darkness made creatures materialized from the shadows. "They are here."
The agent, same as me, noticed the creatures, "Dad wait!" Scott yelled, but the dark supernatural creatures stabbed his sword through the shoulder of the older man.
Kira let out a scream and Scott transformed ready to attack as Melissa ran to her wounded ex-husband.
With a roar, Derek opened the front door alongside Alec giving the start to the fight.
"Kira, move!" I said to the girl trying to let her move out from the creature's aim.
My fands elongated and my claws, sharp as blades, took the place of my nails. I scratched them behind the knee of the first creature that ended up in my path, but the sword was quick to come down, almost slicing my head off. I rolled away, evading the blows of the weapon as it continued to come my way, trying every attack that I knew to wound it.
"Push them out!" Scott yelled.
We were all quick to understand the plan. Scott was the first that pushed his opponent out from the already smashed window. I kicked mine and as it stumbled back, I placed my hand on their chest, "Moventur."
The darkness-made creature flew out of the back door of the kitchen, followed by the one the twins were fighting against. The last one was kicked out by Derek, even more shadows were wrapped around its arms letting me know that Alec helped my cousin with throwing it out. And as the last of them was outside the house, Melissa McCall shattered the glass jar with mountain ash at the front door, creating a barrier that most supernatural creatures couldn't pass. Trapping us inside and them outside.

Hello everyone!!
This chapter is so cute!! I love Elizabeth and Stiles in this. So siblings coded.
She might want to be seen as cold hearted who hates almost everyone, but Elizabeth is soft. And the pack is her family.
Stiles, Scott and Lizzie are my brotp. Stiles called her Ellie. I'm crying, bye!
To remind you all, Ellie is what her family used to call her (Or who knew her before the fire) after that, it was Elle or Lizzie. Not Ellie. Calling her like that is a sign of a family-deep bond.
Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter, I'll see you on Tuesday!
