๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ an earlier riser but he didn't realise how awkward that would be when the pretty girl on the couch was the exact opposite of himself.
"Good morning," Jack smiled as he watched her let out a yawn,
"Hi," Lillian mumbled as she stretched her arms out,
"You have a good sleep?" The boy asked as he sat on the other couch,
"Surprisingly," the blonde nodded as she sat up,
"This couch is perfect," she added as it was actually more comfortable that her bed in her dorm,
"I'll make sure to tell Nico that," the brunette smiled as he ran his fingers through his hair,
"Nico?" The soccer player cocked her head as she repeated the boys name,
She had obviously seen him on her tv before but it was the idea of actually hearing about him that made his name sound unfamiliar,
And the fact that she needed at least an hour after she woke up to allow her brain to actually work,
"My captain," the hockey player explained,
"Some of the boys want to meet you," he added as the team group chat was just the boys currently asking when they could see the blonde,
"Am I that popular?" Lillian joked as a smile formed on her lips,
"Of course," Jack nodded as he matched her smile,
"When they started asking Luke about himself he brought your name up multiple times," he explained causing the girls eyes to go wide,
"Only for good things I hope," the blonde mumbled as she turned a soft shade of pink knowing that Luke was notorious for revealing the most embarrassing stories when he was drunk,
And the one story he didn't tell anyone was when Lillian first tried weed she ended up walking through campus high out of her mind in her sweatpants, an oversized tee and her favourite duck slippers as she wanted to find tacos. Which would have been fine if there was a Mexican restaurant on campus, but there was not one in miles.
Luke found her and eventually took her back to his room where he made her eat subway.
"There's not a lot of bad things he could say about you," the brunette shook his head as they turned their attention to Luke's bedroom as they heard the door open,
"Good morning Lilly!" Luke cheered as he sat on her lap,
"Luke you're heavy!" Lillian groaned as the boy rested his back against her chest as he shook his head acting like a wet dog as he had gotten out of the shower just minutes ago,
He was in the mood to be irritating that morning,
"And wet!" She added added as she tried to hit the boy,
"Luke do not kill your best friend on day one," Jack let out a laugh as he watched the duo,
"I'm not planning on killing her," the defender spoke in a duh tone as he finally stopped moving,
"Just slowly suffocating me?" The blonde asked as she was beginning to realise how heavy he actually was,
"That sounds more like it," Luke nodded as he smiled,
"Luke get off!" Lillian began to kick her legs as she tried to get him to move,
"Fine," the defender slid off of her as he sat next to her,
"On that note I'm going to go shower," the soccer player ruffled her hand in the boys hair before she headed to Luke's bathroom so that she could shower.
"What were you two talking about?" Luke asked as he cocked his head,
"Just the boys," Jack smiled as he pushed his hair out of his face,
"You think they're gonna like her?" The defender knew that his best friend was a great person but he hoped that the girl would be liked by his friends,
"They're gonna love her." The forward had mentioned the girl to his teammates a few times prior to his brothers arrival causing him to already know that there wasn't a possibility of them not liking her.

Luke couldn't help but let out a laugh as he watched Lillian's eyes go wide,
"He does that sometimes," Luke smiled as they heard the door slam shut,
"It's his kind of entrance," he added as two of his brothers favourite teammates walked in,
"Lillian!" Nico cheered as he pulled the girl into a bear hug,
"Hi Nico?" Lillian's voice was muffled as her face was practically in his shirt,
"It's nice to meet you boys," she added as she was finally able to see the two boys who had came over,
"Likewise," Dawson just opted for sending her a smile as he watched her sit back on the couch next to Luke,
"It was about time that we met the girl we heard so much about," Nico blurted out as he ended up on a couch by himself,
"Luke has been there for less than a month," Lillian furrowed her eyebrows as she didn't think Luke had mentioned her that many times,
"Jack told us about you in December," Dawson smirked as he looked at the older Hughes brother,
"Said you were his brothers best friend," he added as he had seen a meme that Jack had sent to Lillian in December and as a result he learn about the girl,
"Wasn't wrong," Jack raised his hands in surrender as he shrugged.

Later that evening Lillian stood in the family and friends box at the prudential center,
"Sorry ma'am but I think you are in the wrong room," a voice spoke up from behind Lillian in what sounded like a horrible attempt at a Southern accent,
"What the-" Lillian turned around as she furrowed her eyebrows,
"Quinn!" She added as she let out a gasp before she pulled him into a hug,
"What are you doing here?" The girl asked as she cocked her head not believing that he was in front of her,
"Well the season ended and I figured that I should see the boys play," Quinn explained as he smiled,
"Also I heard Trevor was here too," he added as he hadn't seen the Ducks player since he arrived,
"You know I think that you've overtaken him," the blonde confessed as she remembered the conversation that they had in Michigan,
"Am I a top two now?" The brunette raised his eyebrows in surprise,
"Top three," the soccer player shook her head,
"When Luke got his debut he became number one," she added as she still couldn't believe that Luke was officially an NHL player,
"So in other words the Hughes brothers youngest to oldest are you favourites?" The hockey player couldn't help but let out a chuckle,
"Pretty much," Lillian nodded as she raked her fingers through her hair,
"Should I be offended that I've already been demoted before you even got the chance to meet me?" Trevor asked in a teasing tone as he finally joined the duo causing the girls eyes to go wide,
"You asshole!" The blonde punched the Hughes brothers arm as she felt her cheeks heat up,
"Ow!" Quinn groaned as he rubbed his arm,
"Why didn't you tell me that he was gonna be here!" The soccer player mumbled as she sent him a glare,
"I sort of did," the Canucks player shot back in a duh tone,
"Sorry," Lillian awkwardly sent Trevor a wave as she apologised,
"Wait where are your parents?" Trevor asked as he smiled giving the girl a side hug as she introduced herself,
"They are coming up in a bit," Quinn explained as he looked at his phone to see if he had gotten any updates,
"They are running late." He added letting out a laugh as he saw the message of complaint that his mother had sent him,
She blamed her husband for making them late.

Lillian had spent the game sat between the two hockey players and the only thing that went through her mind was how 16 year old Lillian would have died if she knew that she'd be spending a night of her spring break from her sophomore year of college like this.
But now she was stood with Trevor talking about life as Quinn was on his phone.
"Explain this to me," Trevor motioned to back of the girls phone case,
"The Polaroid?" Lillian asked as there wasn't much to her clear case besides for the Polaroid that it was keeping with her phone,
"Yeah," the brunette nodded as the girl smiled,
"This is from New Year's Eve," the blonde began as she remembered how stressed she was that day,
"Ethan and I had been baking before we got into a food fight with the icing," she added holding back a laugh as she realised that she had never actually told the boy that she was grateful that he made her day a little bit more enjoyable.
"And this was taken in the bathroom before we washed in all off," the girl explained as she looked at the absolute shit eating grins that the sported as Ethan had his arms wrapped around the girl,
"That's cute," the hockey player took note of how the girl had a larger smile on her face when she was talking about her boyfriend than she did when she was watching Luke play.
Lillian was going to respond but she was cut off when Jack and Luke came over to the group with the middle Hughes brother mumbling a "Hey bro," to his best friend.
"Did you see that assist?" Luke asked as the girl turned to him,
"Which one?" Lillian cocked her head causing them to both let out a laugh as he pulled her into a hug spinning her around in the process,
"They make me feel so single," Trevor confessed as the three hockey players were now all watching,
"And they're not even dating!" Jack added as he nodded in agreement before he was pulled into a conversation with his mother.
