The young lord Arthur Dale had spent most of the night before awake. Thinking of ways to help his dearest friend Margaret and save his....save Anne.
Yet he couldn't stop thinking about one problem. What Margaret had told him the night before. She was apparently with child, once again with the king's child.
If Anne was sentenced to exile, Arthur would do anything to help Margaret flee England. But even he knew the Boleyn girl couldn't take her son, especially not when she thought she could be carrying the king's child once again.
George Boleyn's warrant had been signed. Henry Tudor had made it known to most of his court. That the man was to die tomorrow morning, for the charges of incest and high treason. George Boleyn would be beheaded tomorrow morning. Some of the court hoped that their queen would survive and not be exiled like the dowager princess before her. The other half who believed she was a witch or that she had committed the charges that were being held against her. Well they hoped and prayed that Anne Boleyn would be burnt at the stake.
If the king was going to murder his wife's brother. Then it must be because he believed the rumours about Anne and George.
It would be so easy for the English King to sign Anne's death warrants. If that happened Arthur didn't know what he would do or what would happen to Margaret.

Margaret was glad she could walk around the castle grounds, even if there were guards watching her and Lord Dale's every movement.
All she wanted to do was think and come up with some sort of plan. She couldn't let George die, but there was nothing she could do.
She had pleaded with Henry and he was taking everything from her. She was glad her eldest sister Mary was somewhere far from the court. But it didn't stop her wondering where her father was and if Anne would be exiled or not.
She had heard from Anne what the dowager princess' fate was. Catherine of Aragon was exiled, her daughter named a bastard. She knew Mary hadn't seen Catherine before she sadly passed away.
How many times had Anne bragged about becoming Queen or demanded Mary respect her. Margaret could almost laugh at how the tables had turned, almost but not quite.
Catherine had died alone and she worried the same fate for Anne.
She stopped walking as Arthur spoke up "Have you bled yet"
She scoffs at how foolish the young lord was. She wondered why he had never wed and perhaps this was why "You cannot ask such things and No i have not, it does not just happen like that"
"Is that not how wome-"
She cuts him off "Perhaps but like I have said many times since yesterday. I am with child once more Arthur"
"Have you heard how he is to die"
She nods slightly "A beheading any day now, I could try to speak to his majesty again, although I fear if I do. I'd end up right next to Anne or even George"
"Margaret hes to die tomorrow morning" He admits "There is nothing we can do but pray Anne shall remain the king's wife"
"He cannot simply just kill Anne, she is the Queen"
"He exiled the dowager princess. He might do the same to her margaret"
She looks up at him "Why must he be so cruel. I cannot go to france"
"If he divorces Anne" The lord pauses "He will try wed you, no matter what those close to him say. He married Anne when he thought shed give him a son"
"If he finds out i-"
"You gave him a son Margaret, little james is a year old"
"I shall not wed him"
"If he exiles her, you run without James"
"It isnt that easy Arthur" She states "Youd know if you had a wife or a child"
"You know what must be done Margaret"
At first she had wanted to take her son. Only if she had to leave, she never thought the king would sign her brother's death.
Margaret was foolish to even think of taking Ja-the king's son from him. Leaving the prince would break her. But being forced to wed that man, well it would drive her to her own death.
She wouldn't even be able to say her farewell to the boy.

May 17th 1536
Margaret had hardly slept since the arrest of her two siblings. Even now she had been up the entire night. She hadn't bothered to even try to sleep. All she could do was think about George and think about his fate. She was waiting for dawn to approach. So that she could join the crowd of people who were going to witness her brother's death.
George and four other innocent men had been sentenced to their deaths. Henry was just going to allow a crowd to watch the entire thing. Just so he could be proven right. Just so he could remarry in hope he could have another heir. People now believed that George and Anne had committed such acts of treason.
She knew Arthur was going to go with her and pay his respects. He didn't want her going to watch alone. Nor did he want to regret not going and saying goodbye.
His old friend's fate was sealed. He prayed Anne wouldn't follow and that Margaret would never have to run.

Margaret walked along the grounds close to the tower. She couldn't help but think about how her sister and father were most likely there. She wondered if they knew what was about to happen to George. On who was being taken away from them.
Arthur hopefully would be among the crowd of people who were awaiting the deaths.
She kept walking along the grounds that were near the tower alone. She wanted this over with. She wished her elder sister Mary had never caught Henry's attention in France all those years ago.
She stopped when she finally saw someone. Someone she didn't want to see, she had thought the king had him kept in the tower.
"Margaret" Her father muttered.
