" Hey, you really think you deserve that water now, Tanner? " Coral scoffed.

Tanner stalked up to her looking her up and down with a dirty look as Coral scoffed.

" Look you just said watch the beam " Tanner replied before laughing.

Coral laughed unamused and shoved the trident into Tanner before pushing him into the ground, Aletta let out a shaky breath as Coral walked over and picked up the water before she was interrupted causing the girl in the vent to lean back.

" Coral......it's wovey, the little one from 8 ".

Treech grabbed the trident out of Tanners and held it to Coral, who grabbed it as she passed.

" This should be easy " Coral laughed before following her team mate.

Aletta loot out of the vent, when she heard something and saw Dill, the sickly girl from 11 stumbling towards the water, which caused Aletta's stomach to sink and she cried as she watched Dill kneel down and grab it and then unscrewed the cap before taking a big gulp of water.

" No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no " Aletta cried as she watched Dill slowly lower herself to the ground and laid there, Aletta let out a muffled sob as she watched.

" Dill.....Dill? Dill wake up " Aletta heard reaper call out as he ran over to her and kneeled next to her before turning her over and saw the blood running down her nose and her wide open eyes.

" Dill? Dill? Hey?" Reaper tried to wake her, when he realised she was waking up, he let out a loud scream.

As Reaper was screaming, Aletta felt a tear go down her cheek, knowing it was her fault the girl was dead.

Reaper stopped screaming and he now stood with Dill in his arms and carried her to the middle of the arena and laid her down next to marcus, he then began to bring all the dead tributes to were they were and laid them there before marching over to the flag that held the symbol of the Capitol and tugged it down and then laid it over their bodies.

" Are you gonna punish me now? " Reaper declared as he looked at the camera in the arena knowing everyone in the Capitol was watching.

Aletta smiled lightly at Reaper's actions.

" Capitol citizens....i"m afraid I must interrupt our games to announce a tragic loss, one that affects us all " Dr. Gaul announced as everyone in the room and Capitol watched " Felix Ravinstill, son of our beloved president.....has this morning succumbed to his injuries sustained in the rebel bombing......out there in the districts, they will be celebrating this young boy's death as a triumph.....I will not allow my games to give our enemies such a victory, I swear to you hear and now before the sun goes down tonight a rainbow of destruction will engulf our arena, even if it means, there's to be no victor in these games ".

Coriolanus felt his stomach sink at the game makers words he quickly exited the room hoping he makes it in time to save his Aletta.

" Hey, go get a spear and go up there, push her back as much as possible, trust me " Coral said to one of her minions, who nodded and did as instructed.

Aletta, who was sitting quietly in the vent sat up, when she heard a noise and quickly backed away from the opening of the vent as a spear pierced through it, she continued to back away as the person outside continued.

She slowly and quietly as possible crawled away from the entrance to the vent and stopped in front of a drain hole and she got out the compact Coriolanus had given her and opened it emptying the rest of the powder down the hole as it fell down to Treech, who called Coral.

Back in the viewing room, Coriolanus ran inside hoping that she was okay.

" Aletta, is she okay? " Coriolanus asked frantically.

" she won't be for long ".

" I've got you know songbird " Coral smirked as Treech wiped his nose and saw blood.

" Wait, what's wrong with Treech? " his mentor asked as coral began to shive the trident into the vent to forcefully get Aletta out " Did Coral do something to Treech? " she asked as she watched her Tribute fall to the ground holding his throat.

Aletta yelled as the vent floor gave in and she fell to the ground.

" Run....run " Coriolanus muttered.

" What did she do to him? " she asked again as she watched her tribute collapse.

Aletta quickly got up and ran, jumping over the passing gate and into the arena as Coral followed behind but they all stopped and look up, when a large drone flew over them causing dust to fly as it slowly lowered a large cylinder container into the arena.

" that is not going to be good " Flikerman announced.

" Work?.....please? Work? " Coriolanus pleaded.

" Wouldn't it be fin, if it was candy? " Flikerman smiled.

" Is it over? can we go home now? " Wovey asked as she walked closer.

" Wovey......Wovey " Reaper warned the girl, who didn't listen.

" Please " the small girl pleaded.

Suddenly the glass began to crack and hundreds of colourful snakes were released from the container, Aletta gasped as they covered Wovey, who screamed and she quickly ran for higher ground as the snakes came towards them.

" Aletta, wait " Coral cried causing Aletta to stumble on the ground and look at her as Coral crawled towards her as snakes slithered on her " Aletta, I'm begging .......It's not fair....it's not...i can't of killed them all for nothing "  coral croaked before crying as she was dragged to the ground.

" And that's goodbye to Festus Greed..." Flikerman said " and everything leads back to our songbird, Aletta Everdeen ".

" It's over....she's won, let her out  " Coriolanus laughed in relief.

" Afraid that's not your call to make, Mr. Snow " Flikerman replied and pointed to Dr. Gaul, who was glaring at the screen.

Aletta whimpered backing away as the snakes slithered towards her.

" Your headed for heaven " Aletta began to sing hoping to calm the snakes down as she continued to move backwards " The sweet old hereafter....and I've got one foot in the door but before I can fly up, I've loose ends to tie up, right here, in the old therebefore ".

Coriolanus watched as the snakes slithered up Aletta's body but didn't make any move to attack.

" Dr. Gaul, shes won....it's over let her out " Coriolanus pleaded with the older woman.

" Why aren't they attacking her? " Festus Creed asked.

" Must be the singing.....it's calming them " Coriolanus replied.

" She can't sing forever " Festus added.

Aletta continues to sing as she lets the snakes slither up her arms and waist not making any move to attack her as they slowly began to cover her enter lower body.

Coriolanus looked at Gaul, who glared at him in realisation as Aletta stopped singing and looked at the snakes in awe.

" Dr. Gaul.....please, get her out " Coriolanus demanded.

" Get her out " Tigris yelled and soon more people began to yell.

" Who will watch the games, if there's no victor? " Coriolanus said.

Gaul held a hand up causing the chanting to stop and turned to her assistant " Get her out " she said before leaving.

" She's won....Aletta Everdeen has won.....Coriolanus Snow is the winner of the 10th annual hunger games" Flikerman announced as everyone began to cheer for the boy.

" Aletta?......Aletta? " Coriolanus called out as he was escorted into a room and felt his stomach sink, when he saw his fathers handkerchief and mothers compact on the table behind him.

" I warned you Mr. Snow...cheating will be punished " Highbottom said as he entered the room " More poetically than even I could of hoped ".

" Aletta?.....where is she? " Coriolanus asked hoping she was alright.

" I would be more concerned with your own survival, If I were you " the dwarf replied as he walked around the table in the room " It's fitting that both your parents could be here for you big moment.....that compact? How many times did I see you mother use it, I wonder?...to powder her beautiful face....." Coriolanus just glared at the man " Come now, we both know that child from 11 didn't die of disease or that lumberjack from 7 and that older handkerchief......we found it in the snake tank, appropriately......condemning you with your fathers own initials " the man smirked.

" your family won't ever see that prize money, of course " Highbottom continues " President Ravinstill has left your form of punishment to me and I've decided that banishment to the district, where you'll serve your Capitol in exile for the next 20 years as an anonymous, peacekeeping grunt ".

The man looked up at the sound of thunder and then looked at Coriolanus " You hear that boy......finally....the sound of snow....falling " Highbottom smirked.

Aletta, who was carrying a gitaur case walked towards a familiar house that herself and the covey resided in and knocked on the door.

Maude Ivory opened it and let out a yell of excitement and embraced Aletta.

" What is going on? " Lucy Gray demanded as she walked to the door with the rest of the covey " Aletta " she gasped and stopped, when she saw her sister staring there in her mothers dress that was now dirty and tattered.

" Hey, I'm home " Aletta smiled tears welling in her eyes and Lucy Gray ran over and embraced her and soon after the rest of the covey joined relived the have Aletta home......safely.
