T H I R T Y - T H R E E
Yoongi intensely stared down Jeongguk who wore the widest smile on his face, his features showing nothing but happiness and not the cruel look he had been giving for awhile to hold his reputation.
The older couldn't believe the sight, Jeongguk wasn't being a dick to anyone, he wasn't mocking the teacher, he wasn't holding down scowls, no. He was smiling as bright as he could.
Yoongi couldn't shake the feeling of something being off, clearly Jeongguk was high or on some type of drug.
"So, do I look really handsome today or what?" Jeongguk waved a hand in front of Yoongi's baffled face, waking him from the trance. "You sure do enjoy staring at me." He added on.
"What? No, you're fucking hideous." Yoongi spat, shaking his head. "Jeongguk? If you were on drugs, would you tell me? Or like, maybe Seokjin-hyung?" He inquired randomly.
The younger one blinked rapidly. "Drugs?" He cocked a brow. "No, I'm pretty sure I'm not on any sort of drug at the moment."
"Really? That's what someone on drugs would say. You need a drug test. Gguk, you can tell me anything." Yoongi crossed his arms over his chest, tilting his head to the side.
The raven-haired parted his lips in mere confusion. "I-, Yoongi, what the fuck are you talking about?" He inquired.
Both teens were in gym, the class they shared together and where most of the group hung out at. It was a free period to just shoot basketballs and whatnot.
"You're smiling like an idiot, Jeongguk. You look crazy. Why are you so happy?" Yoongi wondered, getting straight to the point after asking if his friend had consumed drugs.
Jeongguk passed the ball to Yoongi after dribbling it a few times. "Is it obvious I'm happy? Why can't I just be happy? I am happy,"
"I know that much, fuck face, but why are you so fucking happy?" Yoongi passed it back while rolling his eyes, pushing his bottom lip into a sort of pout, just some type of facial thing he began to do for some reason.
"I don't think it's my business to tell." He shrugged lamely, bouncing the basketball. He looked up to see the given face Yoongi was making, the narrowed brows, disgust in his features, the pure perplexity lacing everywhere.
"Jeongguk, I think you should consider a type of therapy, possibly." The bleached haired teen forced a very fake smile. "This bullshit is scary and any type of help will due."
Jeongguk 'tsk'ed, shaking his head. "I don't have time for you to interrogate me, Yoongs. I'm just happy and that's really all that matters, ri-"
"Gguk! Gguk!" A high pitched voice called out, slamming the corridors wide open. Everyone who currently stood within the gym looked over, Jimin standing with a worried look on his face.
Jeongguk could sense the panic. He threw the ball down, rushing over, furrowing his brows. He stopped in front of the shorter. "What? What is it? What happened? Why are you here?"
Jimin panted, showing that he had ran here from where he was supposed to be. "T-Taehyung . . . K-Kids, they're picking on him," he wheezed out, trying to catch his breath.
Jeongguk snapped, poking his cheek with his tongue. "Where? Fucking spit it out, won't you?!" He rose his voice a bit. His heart pumped with anger, he didn't want to imagine Taehyung being hurt whatsoever.
"Around t-the chemistry lab," Jimin stuttered, gulping the thick lump lodged into his throat. He was shoved aside by the younger teen, the aforementioned taking off and speeding down the halls.
"What happened?" Asked Yoongi who came over, looking between Jimin and the now gone Jeongguk. He started to wonder if it was Jungkook who was in trouble but the name that was told to him wasn't Jungkook.
Yoongi snapped his head over to Jimin. "Tae? He's getting picked on?" Both started speedily walking to where Jimin told Jeongguk where to go. "And, like, Gguk cares?"
"He's not totally heartless, Yoongi-hyung," remarked Jimin, shaking his head. He clasped their hands together, going into a jog.
Jeongguk on the other hand went by the lab, slamming the door open. "Who the fuck did it? Where is Taehyung?!" He yelled, not giving a single fuck about the teacher who was screaming for him to get out.
No one answered, everyone silent and all seemed to be on mute. This angered the young teen, gritting his teeth. Why was Taehyung being picked on? He wanted to hit every mother fucker he could until he knew where his Pumpkin was.
"I swear to fucking God, where is Taehyung?!" He rose his voice louder, some kids jumping at his booming and loud voice. "I will punch all of you mother fuckers in the face if no one speaks the fuck up!"
Then a single kid rose his hand, gulping. "He was pushed into a locker," he muttered, trying to seem loud enough for the twin to understand him.
Jeongguk walked over, shaking off the teacher. He gripped the boy by his wrist, tugging him out of the room. "What fucking locker?!"
Jimin and Yoongi rushed over, Jungkook now joining them. They were able to get the other twin just in case Jeongguk would need it and because everyone cared for Taehyung's well-being.
"Gguk!" Jungkook pulled Jeongguk back. "You need him alive to tell you, don't you?" Asked the slightly younger twin.
Jeongguk growled, backing away. "Which. Locker. Is he. Fucking. In?!" He asked again, his eyes showing rage and hatred.
The kid shrugged. "I-I didn't see what locker they put him into, I j-j-just know that he was sh-shoved into a locker." He defended himself, rushing back into the classroom he came from.
"Fuck," Jeongguk groaned, walking down the hallway. "Tae!" He began to call out, walking back and forth between lockers, listening closely to see if he could hear the poor boy.
Yoongi trailed behind, covering the other side. Jimin and Jungkook stayed behind the two, watching Jeongguk who was very pissed off seeming.
"He cares about Taehyung. I didn't realize how much he liked Taehyung." Commented Jungkook, never seeing his identical twin brother be so concerned for someone beside himself. "I'm so selfish," he muttered, not taking notice that Jimin heard him.
Jeongguk grunted, calling out for Taehyung. They weren't even near the chemistry lab anymore. They were walking around, calling out for Taehyung.
Jeongguk's heart pounded fast in his chest, banging off of his rib cage, pounding like no other. He sucked in a sharp breath, gritting his teeth to keep himself from yelling shut he shouldn't be.
Then, they heard the soft whimpering, the little bangs off of metal, the cries for someone to help him out of the locker he was locked in. Taehyung cried out for someone to pull him out of the tight space he was barricaded inside of.
The slightly older Jeon Twin perked to the noise, going close. He put his ear to the lockers until he found which one Taehyung was inside. "Tae?" He called inside.
"Ggukie or Kookie! I don't know which one you are but please help me out, I don't like it in here, it's dark and tight and-, please!" He pleaded, his voice cracking showing he had been calling for help and whimpering for quite some time.
"Uh, I-I don't know the combination, I don't even know who's lock this is. Who pushed you in here?" Asked the ravenette, looking over the lock. He tugged on it, hopping he could pry it open somehow, but unfortunately, to no avail, he couldn't.
"Multiple people, I didn't even know half of the group." Taehyung responded.
Jungkook heard the distressed voice, he watched the scene unfold, Jeongguk communicating back to Taehyung and trying to keep him calm while he tried to open the locker. Yoongi was messaging people such as Seokjin and Namjoon and Hoseok, telling them they were in need of support.
Jimin went to go get a janitor who could break the lock and free the teen who was scared in such a small spot.
"Who were the people you did know?" Jeongguk asked, paying close attention to Taehyung so he knew who he would have to go after. "I want their names, Taetae."
Taehyung smiled to himself weakly once realizing who the twin was, the Jeon Twin with the black hair, the one he slept with, had sex with. He could clearly reorganize the twin now.
"Ggukie . . ." Taehyung breathed out. "Y-You'll hurt them, I-I can tell by how you're talking. Don't hurt them, please." He whispered, barely audible enough for Jeongguk to understand.
"What? Why shouldn't I? They put you into this locker and hurt you! Did they hit you?" Jeongguk tugged on the lock harder, not caring of the aches in his fingers. He kicked the locker, not thinking that through.
Taehyung jumped, biting down on his lip. He felt tears rise into his eyes, streaming down his cheeks. The sound echoed through his ears, the banging. He didn't like violence, especially after Minji. He never did violence.
He stuck up for Jimin when they were younger, when Jimin was picked on and humiliated. He didn't use violence against them, he just stuck up for them and didn't accept it.
"Sorry, don't be mad at me." Jeongguk said, placing his forehead on the metal. "Do you ever want a pet?" He asked randomly, able to hear the small sniffles. He made Taehyung cry, he felt. He wanted to soothe him now.
"Y-Yes, I w-want a l-little puppy." Taehyung whimpered, his voice cracked and small, breaking everyone's hearts who could hear.
Seokjin and Namjoon came around the corner, being quiet. They looked at the locker, Seokjin cooing while Namjoon was defeated with confusion.
No one ever witnessed such kindness from this Jeon Twin. It was clear he had feelings for Taehyung. No denial from Jeongguk could ever say otherwise.
From the other side of the hall, Hoseok, Jimin, and the janitor all came.
"Really? What type of puppy?" Jeongguk asked in a soft voice, not making it raspy or deep. He didn't notice his group of friends around him, all listening in.
"A-A really small o-one . . . L-Like, o-one I can f-fit into my hands." Muttered back the slightly older teen, looking down at the bottom of the locker, unable to see. "I want to g-get out," He let a small little sob slip out.
The janitor gently pushed Jeongguk aside, putting pliers on the lock. He used his strength to snap the metal, removing the now broken lock off of it. He stepped back, Jeongguk taking the position back.
The raven-haired pulled the lock open, first to see Taehyung's state. Tears coating his red cheeks, his eyelashes wet from all of his tears, his arms crumpled up in front of him, his body small.
Jeongguk ever so cautiously helped the teen out, immediately engulfing him into a warm embrace, holding him close to his chest like his life depended on it.
He heard the innocent whimpers and sobs escaping his plump lips. "Tae, it's okay, I got you, we got you out," he breathed, pulling away to cup the older's face. Jeongguk smiled weakly, clearing away his tears. "I'm so sorry," he whispered, trying to dry his cheeks.
Taehyung forced a week smile, trying to stop his tears but he couldn't remember the last time he was treated so horribly like that. He hid his face into Jeongguk's chest again.
Jimin walked over, brushing Taehyung's red locks. "I'm sorry," he said, ashamed of himself.
Seokjin also accompanied them. "How about you all get back to class and me and Namjoon will take Taehyung out? We get to get out early today, we'll go to the arcade." He said, gently pulling Taehyung back and wrapping his own arms around him.
Taehyung didn't like to be seen as weak, he didn't like crying in front of people, he didn't want to be vulnerable, he hated how it all felt. Taehyung kept his face hidden away from the rest of the group, trying to suppress his small cries.
"Keep me updated, I guess." Jeongguk said, ruffling Taehyung's red locks soothingly before he turned and walked away, Hoseok and Yoongi quick to follow him out.
Jungkook and Jimin stood there, worried for the teen. Jimin wanted to go with but he still had classes to take. So did Taehyung but with some convincing, Seokjin would be able to leave with him.
Jungkook opened his mouth to say something, shaking his head and quickly shutting up. "Jimin, we have classes to go to. We should get going."
"Bye, Tae. I'm sorry, again." Jimin muttered before he left away with the other twin, panic lacing every heartbeat he had. "I wish I could've gotten him out of there," said Jimin with sadness, whispering to himself. He felt bad.
