You sat on the ground, against the wall that was just beside the door to the apartment room as you were hugging your knees with your head resting on them.

The sounds of the door opening caught your attention.

Hesitantly, you turned your head to look at the door, just to see Xiao's head popping out of the door frame. You found it pretty funny, it put a smile on your face.

"... You can't sleep?..."

You

"I mean, look at me. You think that I'll be able to sleep on the floor for the 3rd time?"

Xiao

"... I trust you."

You

"... Sure you do."

Xiao

"But... I really do trust you, Y/N."

You

"But I was bitten. You know, it could just be that this whole disease thing hasn't reached my brain yet? It could just be hanging around my body, but it just hasn't got to the brain yet?"

You lied, just so that Xiao would leave since his concern for you was so constant.

*Sigh* "Xiao, just leave him be. There's no way that he'd just start to trust me because I didn't bite anyone in my sleep."

You looked down at the left side of your abdomen where it felt wet. There was a huge red spot on that sweater of yours.

You had more injuries than just the bite mark on your neck, you didn't want to let the others know though since you didn't want them to worry.

It seemed that the way you covered up a stab wound on your abdomen wasn't done well.

Xiao lifted your sweater, looking at the poorly wrapped bandage that was supposed to stop the bleeding, but obviously, it did nothing.

"Hey!... What are you doing?!"

"That's a really bad wound..."

Both Xiao and Scaramouche managed to carry you out of the bed, and onto one of the couches.

"Wait- Y/N slept in the room?!"

You just laid there on the couch with the most neutral face you've ever had.

"Uh... Childe! Get the hydrogen peroxide!"

"What's going on?!"

"Huh?"

Scaramouche had explained your injury to the others. You had never expected it, Scaramouche, the one who you fought against the most, was taking care of your wounds.

Xiao got rid of the blood-soaked bandage, checking to see how bad the wound really was. Again, Xiao took a deep breath in and out, then laid his hands on your abdomen.

The only reason why you freaked out just for a moment was not because of the pain you felt, but because of Xiao's cold-ass hands.
