Obi-Wan and Anakin were in a elevator that was heading up to Athena and Padmè's apartment. Obi-Wan stood calmly and patiently as Anakin fidgets with his robe. He kept adjusting it to make himself look more presentable. Obi-Wan glances at his Padawan.

" You seem on edge " Obi-Wan pointed out as Anakin stopped messing with his robe.

" Not at all " Anakin says trying to dismiss the conversation, he was extremely nervous about seeing Athena again.

" I haven't felt you this tense, since we fell into that nest of gundarks " Obi-Wan says, continuing the conversation. Anakin scoffs at his masters remark.

" You fell into that nightmare master " Anakin reminded " And I rescued you, remember? ".

" Ohh....yes " Obi-Wan replied as they both looked straight ahead. Obi-Wan lets out a laugh and Anakin looked over at him before chuckling " You're sweating, relax. Take a deep breath ".

" I haven't seen her in 10 years, master " Anakin says to him.

Obi-Wan simply shook his head at his Padawan's nervousness as the elevator reached the apartment. The doors open and Jar Jar was standing there waiting greet them.

" Obi, Obi " Jar Jar exclaimed as he grabbed and shook Obi-Wan's hand " Mesa so smiled to seeing yousa ".

" Good to see you again, Jar Jar " Obi-Wan greeted back.

" Jedi Senator, Athena " Jar Jar called for Athena who stood out on the balcony with Padmè and Captain Typo, she looks over to see Jar Jar walking into the meeting room.

" Mesa palos here, lookie lookie, Jedi Senator " Jar Jar announces with Obi-Wan and Anakin" Desa, Jedi arriven ".

Athena walks over to them with Padmè and Captain Typo behind her, Obi-Wan bows respectfully to Athena, who smiles happy to see him again.

" It's a pleasure to see you again, milady " Obi-Wan greeted, Anakin behind back him in nervousness and awe of seeing Athena.

" It's been far too long, Master Kenobi " Athena greeted back smiling as she shook his hand, before looking behind Obi-Wan " Ani, my goodness, you've grown " Athena says as she notices how much Anakin had grown, Anakin slowly stepped forward towards Athena and gives her a smile.

" So, have you " Anakin says " Grown more beautiful, I mean ".

Obi-Wan looked at Anakin, disappointed in what he had said. Athena's smile faltered at his words, it was something he shouldn't be saying, especially to a fellow Jedi.

" Well, f-for a Jedi Senator, I mean " Anakin says taking a deep breath as Athena laughed nervously and smiles at him again.

" Ohh Ani, you'll always be that little boy, I knew on Tatoonie " Athena says as he smiles back at her.

" And you'll always be that Princess, I knew on Naboo " Anakin replied and Athena smiles at him before walking over to the couch. Padmè says ' hello ' to Obi-Wan and Anakin before she makes her way to sit next to Athena and Jar Jar sat down on the other side of Athena.

" Our presence here will be invisible, Jedi Senator. I can assure you " Obi-Wan says as he and Anakin make their way to the couch across from Athena, Jar Jar and Padmè.

" I'm Captain Typho of her Majesty's security service " Captain Typho says introducing himself to the Jedi " Queen Jamilia has been informed of your assignment. I am grateful you're here, Master Kenobi. The situation is more dangerous than our Jedi Senator, will admit ".

" Athena is acting as though, she hasn't nearly been killed twice " Padmè added " She insists, she doesn't need more security ".

" It's because it's true, I don't need new security, I just need answers " Athena retorted " I want to know, who's trying to kill me and then resume training ".

" We are here to protect you, Jedi Senator. Not to start an investigation " Obi-Wan answered.

" We will find out, who's trying to kill you Athena. I promise you " Anakin spoke up.

" We will not exceed our mandate, my young Padawan learner " Obi-Wan interrupted sternly, not liking what he was hearing from Anakin.

" I meant that in the interest of protecting her, Master " Anakin argued.

" We will not go through this exercise again, Anakin and you will pay attention to my lead " Obi-Wan says as Athena watched confused on why Anakin was acting the way he was.

" Why? " Anakin says defiantly.

" What? " Obi-Wan questioned, disliking Anakin's defiance.

" Why else do you think? We were assigned to her, if not to find the killer? " Anakin asked with attitude.

" Protection is a job for local security, not a Jedi and especially if Athena is a capable,  Jedi herself " Anakin continued " It's overkill, Master. Investigation is implied in our mandate ".

" We will do exactly as the council had instructed and you will learn your place, young one " Obi-Wan sternly declared, the room was tense as Athena and Padmè looked at each other, confused at Anakin's sudden outburst, Anakin looks at the ground before looking at Athena and they held eye contact before Athena look away.

" Perhaps with merely your presence, the mystery surrounding this threat against my sister will be revealed" Padmè spoke up.

Athena took a deep breath before standing up and everyone stood up as well as they watched Athena's movements.

" If you'll excuse me, I will retire " Athena says before walking away, exhausted from the entire situation.

Anakin watched as Athena's figure walked away, she was going to her room by herself. He continued to watch Athena, while Obi-Wan went to talk to Captain Typho, Padmè and Jar Jar follow behind Obi-Wan. Anakin walked slowly towards the group sighing.

" I know, I'll feel better having you here " Captain Typho says to Obi-Wan " I'll have an officer stationed on every floor and I'll be in the control centre downstairs ".

Obi-Wan and Captain Typho continued to walk towards the elevator as Jar Jar, Padmè and Anakin stopped walking " Mesa busten wit happiness seein yousa again, Ani " Jar Jar says kindly to the Padawan.

" She hardly recognised me, Jar Jar " Anakin says as he glanced over at Athena. She walked walked into a small hallway leading to her room and and Anakin could no longer see her, Padmè gives Anakin a sad smiled " I've thought about her every day, since we parted and she's forgotten me completely ".

" You're focusing on the negative, Anakin " Obi-Wan says as he walked up to them " Be mindful of your thoughts and she's pleased to see us again " he added with a smile " Now, let's check security ".

Obi-Wan and Jar Jar walked away as Padmè and Anakin stayed behind for a moment, Padmè looks at Anakin, getting his attention.

You know Ani, she still wears the necklace, you gave her " Padmè spoke with a tight lipped smile before walking away.

Anakin took in what she said with a smile before he walked to where his master went.

Athena closed her door and leaned against it, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she tried to relax herself.

Athena then heard a familiar beep and opens her eyes to see R2 beeping happily in front of her and she smiles at the droid " You're right, R2. I just need some rest, after the day I've had " she looks around the room and noticed that camera's were set up in the corner's of her room. A few various other places to cover the area's the corner camera's couldn't.

Athena sighed thinking, they were being a bit extreme with the protection, she looks at back at R2 " I think, I need more privacy. Force, I'm going to bed ".

R2 beeped in response as she let out a soft laugh " now that's not a bad idea, R2 " Athena says.

Athena uses the force to tilt the camera's up, she then went and covered them with a towel. She lets out a breath of relief, feeling more comfortable now. Athena takes off her robe and placed it on her desk. She decides to stay in her dark Jedi robes just in case she needed to fight. She releases her hair From it's ponytail.

Athena stretches before climbing into her bed laying down " R2, please keep an eye out for me and alert anyone if you need to ".

R2 beeped in response as Athena falls asleep.

" Captain Typho has more than enough men downstairs to scare anyone assassin away " Obi-Wan says as he entered the living area again. Anakin turned away from watching the area, where Athena's room is and walked over to Obi-Wan " Any activity up here? ".

" Quiet as a tomb, she's a sleep " Anakin replied " I don't like just waiting here for something to happen to her ".

A beep came from Obi-Wan's communicator device and he grabbed it off his belt to look at it " What's going on? " Obi-Wan asked.

" Ahh, she's covered them camera's " Anakin explained as he glanced back at Athena's room " I don't think she liked me watching her ".

" What is she thinking? Surely, she knows better from her training " Obi-Wan says as he walked over to the hallway.

" She's programmed R2 to warn us, if there's an intruder " Anakin answered.

" There are many other ways to kill a Jedi Senator " Obi-Wan says. His voice could be heard in Athena's room, where she was fast asleep.

" I know, but we also want to catch this assassin don't we, Master " Anakin's voice softly echoed into Athena's room.

" You're using her as bait " Obi-Wan accused as he walked over to his Padawan with his arms crossed.

" It was her idea " Anakin says, knowing full well that Athena just did what have wanted " Don't worry, no harm will come to her. I can sense everything going on in that room "

" Trust me " Anakin added.

" It's still too risky " Obi-Wan sighed as both Padawan and Master looked back at Athena's room " Besides, your senses aren't that attuned, my young apprentice ".

" And yours are? " Anakin retorted and Obi-Wan simply looks at his Padawan.

" Possibly ".

Anakin quickly looked away from the view of the balcony as he felt Athena stir in her sleep, Obi-Wan looked over at Anakin with concern.

" You look tired " Obi-Wan says as Anakin placed a hand on the railing of the balcony.

" I don't sleep, well anymore " Anakin admitted.

" Because of your mother? " Obi-Wan asked.

Anakin slowly nodded before looking away from his Master " I don't know, why i keep dreaming of her" Anakin explained further.

" Dreams pass, in time " Obi-Wan says as he walked to stand on the balcony with Anakin.

" I'd much rather dream about, Athena " Anakin says, changing the subject " Just being around her again is intoxicating ".

" Be mindful of your thoughts, Anakin. They betray you " Obi-Wan reminded " You made a commitment to the Jedi Order, a commitment not easily broken and don't forget, she's a fellow Jedi ".

Anakin just remains silent.

Anakin and Obi-Wan's voices were lightly heard in Athena's room, but no one awake heard the conversation. Athena was still fast asleep and R2 had shut off for the night as well. R2 rested on the other side of the room, facing Athena.

It was quiet.

Even the droid device that had opened Athena's window with a green laser.

The droid opened a canister that realised three toxic centipede-like-creatures into Athena's room. They gently fell onto the floor and slithered their way towards Athena's bed, where she was still fast asleep. They didn't trigger the laser system that R2 had set up, they made their way way up Athena's bed and R2 woke up. Feeling a disturbance in the force Athena woke up as well. Athena sat up and looked around, the toxic creatures had stopped and camouflaged with Athena's blankets. R2 turned on it's flashlight and looked around the room as well.

" Do you see anything, R2 " Athena asked the droid, R2 beeped in response and Athena relaxed a little. R2 shuts down again as Athena snuggled back into her blankets, she glances around one last time, still felling a little uneasy before she eventually fell asleep again.

The creatures made their way towards Athena again, getting dangerously close to Athena's neck.

" And besides, you're generalising " Anakin stated to his Master.

Anakin and Obi-Wan were talking about Athena and how Anakin needed to be careful around her, not only as a fellow Jedi but as a politician as well. Obi-Wan told Anakin that Senator's shouldn't be trusted and that included Athena. Even though she was a Jedi and a dear friend, Obi-Wan was still weary from his past experiences with Senators. Anakin knew Athena and knew she was completely different from the other politicians and Jedi.

" The Chancellor doesn't appear to be corrupt " Anakin also pointed out.

" Palpatine is a politician, I have observed that he is very clever in following the passions and the prejudices of the other Senators " Obi-Wan says.

" I think he's a good man, my- " Anakin started to says but stopped when both him and Obi-Wan felt a disturbance in the force, Anakin quickly turned around and looked towards Athena's room.

" I sense it too " Obi-Wan says worriedly as he and Anakin run towards Athena's room. Anakin rushes in first and ignited his lightsaber. The blue lightsaber slashed the two toxic creatures that were crawling by Athena's head. Athena wakes up when she feels someone jump on her bed and she gasps when she sees Anakin slashing the last creature. Anakin hops off Athena's bed and looks at her worried.

" I'm okay " Athena says as Obi-Wan noticed a droid outside Athena's window. He runs towards it, crashing through Athena's window and dangled off the droid as it tried to escape.

" Stay here " Anakin ordered to Athena as he got up quickly. Athena and Anakin clipped their lightsabers to their belts.

" Like hell, I will " Athena says back as she ran out with him. The both of them ran past Padmè and the security.

" Athena " Padmè called out to her sister but Athena just ignored her sister and the security guards and runs with Anakin to the cruisers and speeders.

" You'll get in a lot of trouble for not staying behind " Anakin pointed out.

" I don't care about that " Athena replied " I'd much rather catch this assassin myself, than sit around and wait ".

Anakin smirked at her response and Athena gave him a questioning look. The both of them hopped in a yellow speeder, Anakin took the pilot seat as Athena took the passenger seat. There was an empty bench behind them for Obi-Wan, when Anakin and Athena caught up with him.

" I didn't expect, the Jedi Senator to have such a feisty, rebellious side to her " Anakin laughed as he started the speeder.

" Well, there's a lot of things you don't know about me " Athena says with a smirk as Anakin took off.

" Then, I would like to get to know the things, I don't know " Anakin smirked back.

" I would like that too " Athena smiled as the both of them rushed though the traffic of Coruscant.

Anakin sped through the traffic in the direction they last saw Obi-Wan. A thought crosses Athena's mind that makes her smile to herself. Anakin glances over at her and sees her smiling.

" What's got you so happy? " Anakin asked curiously with a smile, seeing Athena smile made Anakin smile.

" Just a thought that crossed my mind " Athena answered honestly as she continued to look for any sighs of Obi-Wan.

" Ahh " Anakin began to say " You can't keep anything for me, I can feel you're happiness ".

Athena chuckled at Anakin's statement before answering " I can't keep anything for you, Ani.....I was just thinking about the time, we piloted a speeder on Naboo when you were nine and I was thirteen. This just reminded me of that ".

" We are in a very familiar situation " Anakin says as his smile grew.

" Look there's Obi-Wan " Athena shouted as she saw the assassin shot down the droid from a balcony and jumped down onto a speeder. Obi-Wan was free falling down into traffic " Ani ".

" I'm on it " Anakin responded as he sped up the speeder. Athena gets up and moves to the back seat, so Obi-Wan could join Anakin in the front when he joined the both of them. Anakin tilted the speeder down as Athena held onto the back of Anakin's seat. He got underneath Obi-Wan and tilted back up, with Athena's guidance, Anakin slowed down the speeder and positioned it, so Obi-Wan would safely land in the passengers seat.

" What took you so long? And why is Athena here, chasing after her assassin? " Obi-Wan asked as he looked between Anakin and Athena.

" Ohh, you know, Master " Anakin answered sarcastically " I couldn't find a speeder that i really like ".

Obi-Wan just looked at his Padawan, not amused " And you though bringing Athena along was a good idea?".

" It's not his fault, I didn't give him a choice " Athena answered as Obi-Wan looked at her.

" Your Master will not be pleased " Obi-Wan says before pointing at a speeder " There, he is ".

" And because she came, I had to find a speeder that's open and can fit three people, with the right speed capabilities " Anakin continued to explain as he followed the speeder Obi-Wan pointed out.

" If you spend as much time practicing your saber technique as you do your wit, you would rival Master Yoda as a swordsman " Obi-Wan mocked as Anakin pulled up and Obi-Wan leaned back, he held onto the dashboard tightly.

" I thought, I already did " Anakin smirked back. Athena laughed at Anakin being so confident in his skills. Anakin began to weave in and out of traffic, he turned the speeder on it's side at one point.

" Only in your mind, my very young apprentice " Obi-Wan replied as he looked over at Athena " I suggest you hold onto something Athena, Anakin's flying is a little unconventional ".

Athena didn't reply as she held onto the back of Anakin's seat as he pointed the speeder vertical to the ground and sped up even faster. They were catching up to the assassin's speeder, Anakin smiled and laughed from the adrenaline and joy of the ride. Athena held onto the back of Anakin's seat tighter, and Obi-Wan panicked as the speeder got dangerously close to a building.

" Pull up, Anakin, pull up " Obi-Wan ordered as Anakin pulled the speeder back up, to its normal position before it could hit the building. Anakin continued on the chase " You know, I don't like, when you do that ".

" Sorry Master, I forget, you don't like flying " Anakin apologised, with a smile still on his face. Anakin turned to face Athena " Are you okay, Athena ".

" Yeah, I just gotta catch my breath " Athena says.

" I don't mind flying, but what you are doing is suicide and even Athena's not okay after your flying " Obi-Wan countered.

Anakin just laughs as he followed the speeder into a power plant, Athena felt the heat of the flames being released. The assassin pulled out a blaster and shot down one of the power couplings. Athena saw the red blaster beam hit the purple electricity.

" Ani " Athena says as Anakin started to head right to it.

" Anakin, how many times do I have to tell you-ahh " Obi-Wan started to scold before Anakin went through the purple electricity. Athena yelped in pain as the three of them were shocked " To stay away from, power couplings " Obi-Wan finished as the pain of the shocking went away, Athena let out a sigh as she recovered from the pain.

" Yeah, dodge that next time please " Athena says.

" Sorry, Master, Athena " Anakin apologised as the pursuit continued.

Athena and Obi-Wan saw the assassin make a sharp left and enter a tunnel. Anakin flew past the tunnel and continued on going straight.

" Anakin, what are you doing? " Athena yelled as she looked to where the assassin went.

" He went that way " Obi-Wan added.

" Master, if we keep this chase going any longer, that creep is gonna end up deep-fried and personally I'd very much like to find out, who he is and who he's working for " Anakin answered " This is a shortcut....I think ".

" You think or you know? " Athena sighed.

" Don't worry, Princess " Anakin says with a smirk as he turned around and winked at Athena, who tried to ignore the butterflies, she got in her stomach. And Anakin turned back to the road, his smirk only grew as he felt Athena get flustered at the nickname and when he saw the red on her cheeks before turning around.

" I'm not a Princess, anymore " Athena scoffed as she felt her cheeks get hotter.

" You'll always be a Princess to me, Princess " Anakin replied and Athena huffed in response.

" Focus, you two " Obi-Wan spoke, bringing Anakin and Athena back to reality. Anakin made a u-turn and took the shortcut.

" Well, You've lost them " Obi-Wan sighed as he crossed his arms.

Anakin had pulled over the speeder, when they couldn't spot the assassin. Obi-Wan was irritated that they had lost the assassin.

" I'm very deeply sorry, Master " Anakin retorted as he looked down at the speeders and cruisers below.

" That was some shortcut, Ani " Athena groaned as she looked around once more.

" He went completely, the other way " Obi-Wan continued " Once again, you've proved- ".

Anakin abruptly stood up " If you'll excuse me " Anakin says before jumping off. Obi-Wan tried to stop Anakin, but it was too late. Athena spotted the assassin's speeder as she saw Anakin fall down towards it.

" I hate it, when he does that " Obi-Wan sighed. Athena stood up too, prepared to jump after Anakin. But Obi-Wan stop her and pulls her back down " I would hate it even more, I'd you did it too Athena. Come up to the front, we'll catch up with my Padawan ".

Athena sighed as she climbed up the passenger seat and Obi-Wan took the drivers seat. Feeling her frustration, Obi-Wan gives Athena a reassuring smile as he drove off " Patience, Athena ".

Anakin grabbed a hold of the speeder by it's front wings. The assassin turned speeder on it's side in an attempt to get Anakin off it. But Anakin held on tightly as the assassin brought the speeder upright again, Anakin got a good look at the assassin and realised it was actually a female. She took out a blaster and tried to shoot down Anakin, but he dodged the blasts and switched over to the wing of the speeder. The speeder was swaying crazily as Anakin managed to make his way to the top of the speeder, he ignited his lightsaber and stabbed the roof of the speeder. The assassin tried to shoot at Anakin again and he pulled away his lightsaber as he tried to dodge the attack. The wind from how fast the speeder was going caused Anakin to lose his grip on his lightsaber and it went flying behind him.

Athena spotted Anakin's lightsaber and held out to catch it. Athena shared a look with Obi-Wan as he shook his head.

Athena and Obi-Wan had caught up to Anakin and watched as he reached through the hole he made on the roof.

Anakin grabbed the assassins hand with the blaster in it as he tried to get the weapon out of the assassins grasp. They fought over it and shot at the dash board of the speeder. The speeder suddenly caught on fire as it started to spin downwards and headed towards a crowd of people. The assassin tried to steady the ship and Anakin focused on holding onto the speeder. Anakin loses his grip as the ship started to shake. Thankfully, Anakin was close enough to the ground to roll off the ship and land on the ground. The speeder crashed into a statue with the assassin still inside. Onlookers muttered as Anakin got up and the assassin got out of her burning speeder. The assassin spotted Anakin and they locked eyes before the assassin takes off running, Anakin quickly followed after her, determined to catch the person who tried to kill Athena.

As Anakin chased the assassin, Athena and Obi-Wan continued to follow closely with the speeder. Obi-Wan parked the speeder by a building and the both of them hopped out to join the pursuit. Athena held onto Anakin's lightsaber, Athena spotted Anakin in the crowd as he was about to enter a club.

" Ani " Athena called out and Anakin turned around to see her and Obi-Wan.

" He went into the club, Master " Anakin says urgently to Obi-Wan.

" Patience " Obi-Wan says to Anakin " Use the force, think " Obi-Wan says to Anakin and Athena.

" Sorry, Master " Anakin says as he turned to go into the club, But Obi-Wan stopped him.

" He went in there to hide, not to run " Obi-Wan explained.

" Yes, Master " Anakin answered as Athena grabbed a hold of Anakin's hand and placed his lightsaber in it.

" I Think, you're missing something " Athena says with a smile as she let go of his hand.

" Next time, try not to lose it " Obi-Wan scolded.

" Yes, Master ".

" This weapon is your life, Anakin " Obi-Wan added before entering the club.

" I try, Master " Anakin replied before glancing at Athena, who just shrugged before entering the club.

" Why do I get the feeling, you're going to be the death of me " Obi-Wan commented as Anakin and Athena followed closely behind him.

The club was lively with chatter and light music in the background.

" Don't say that, Master. You're the closet thing I have to a father " Anakin replied as the three of them walked towards the centre of the club, where the bar was located.

" Then why don't you listen to me? " Obi-Wan asked.

" I am trying " Anakin reasoned.

The three of them stopped and looked around. The three of them looked out of place wearing their Jedi robes. Nothing looked out of the ordinary as Athena saw people talking, gambling, drinking, or watching whatever the club was showing on the projections.

" Can you see him " Obi-Wan asked Athena and Anakin.

" I think he is a she " Anakin informed " And I think, she is a changeling ".

" This will be challenging " Athena says after hearing they were looking for a changeling.

" In that case, be extra carful " Obi-Wan says to them " Go and find her, stay together ".

" Where are you going, Master? " Anakin asked.

" For a drink " Obi-Wan answered as he walked to the bar.

" A drink at a time like this " Athena sighed worriedly.

" He's surely up to something, let's go this way " Anakin says as he walked towards his left.

All eyes were on Anakin and Athena as they looked around. Athena shifted uncomfortably from the many stares, she was getting from the men and women in the club. She was use to people staring at her but this was a completely different setting. She realised how exposed and endangered, she is. The assassin could be anywhere and anyone could hurt her.

" They're in awe of you're beauty, I can't keep my eyes off you either " Anakin whispered in Athena's ear, causing her to shiver " And don't worry I'll protect you ".

" Thank you " Athena whispered back as Anakin put a protective hand on Athena's waist and gently pushes her in front of him. So he could keep an eye on her. Suddenly they the sound of a lightsaber igniting followed by a painful scream.

" Obi-Wan " Anakin and Athena say as looked at each other before rushing over to the sound. They see Obi-Wan standing over the fallen assassin with his blue lightsaber ignited. He had sliced off one of the changelings hands. Silence took over the club as Obi-Wan switched off his lightsaber and grabbed the changelings arm, who grunted in pain as Obi-Wan lifted her up. She placed her good arm around his neck for needed support.

" Easy, Jedi Business " Athena says as she and Anakin faced the patrons.

" Go back to you're drinks " Anakin added as Obi-Wan escorted the assassin outside.

Athena and Anakin followed him out the side entrance of the club and watched as Obi-Wan laid down the assassin. He kneeled down beside her with her arm still around her neck.

" Do you know, who you were trying to kill it? " Obi-Wan asked her as Anakin and Athena kneeled down on the other side of the changeling.

" Her " the changeling answered as she gestured to Athena " The Jedi Senator from Naboo ".

" Who hired you? " Athena asked.

" It was just a job " the changeling grunted in pain and Anakin leaned in closer to the changeling, Athena could feel his anger grow.

" Who hired you? " Anakin repeated darkly and Athena could hear the venom dripping from his voice " Tell us ".

The changeling didn't answer and refused to look at Athena or Anakin. It only made Anakin more irritated and angry.

" Tell us now " Anakin demanded harshly. Athena puts a hand on Anakin's shoulder to try and calm him down. It must of worked because Anakin looked at her and Athena felt his anger melt away at her touch.
