" The chair recognises the Senator from the sovereign system of Naboo " Chancellor Valorum announced from the centre of the huge room, all of the Senators from various systems and planets were meeting to listen to Athena and Padmè. There were at least a few hundred of them, the hover congressional box, Athena, Padmè, Palpatine, their captain and a few of their maid were moved forward to the centre of the room.

" Supreme Chancellor, delegates of the Senate " Palpatine says to the room " A tragedy has occurred, which started right here with the taxation of trade routes and has now engulfed our entire planet in the oppression of the trade federation ".

" This is outrageous, I object to the senator's statements " Lott Dod says as his congressional box rushed to the centre of the room, his box was filled with federation trade barons.

" The chair does not recognise, the senator from the trade federation at this time " Valorum says.

" To state our allegations, I present Queen Amidala, recently elected the ruler of Naboo and Princess Amidala, the Queen's successor. Both who will speak on our behalf " Palpatine says. Athena and Padmè stood up from their seats and walked forward so everyone could see them, Palpatine then returns to his seat.

" Honourable representatives of the republic " Padmè started " We come to under the gravest of circumstances ".

" The Naboo system has been invaded by the droid armies of the trade- " Athena continued but was cut off by Lott Dod.

" I object, there is no proof " Lott Dod says.

Athena and Padmè were angry but remained composed.

" This is incredible, we recommend a commission be sent to Naboo to ascertain the truth " Lott Dod demands.

" The Congress of Malastare concurs with the honourable delegate from the trade " The Ambassador From Malastare says as his congressional box floated to the centre often room " A commission must be appointed".

" The point- " Valorum began but was interrupted by his vice chair.

" Enter the Bureaucrat " Palpatine whispered to Athena and Padmè " The true rulers of the republic, and on the payroll of the trade federation. I might add, this is where Chancellor Valorum's strength will disappear ".

" The point is conceded " Valorum continued after speaking to another member " Will you defer your motion to allow a commission to explore the validity of your accusations ".

" We will not defer " Padmè says " We've come before you to resolve this attack on our sovereignty now ".

" We were not elected to watch our people suffer and die while you discuss this invasion in a committee " Athena added sternly.

" If this body is not capable of action, I suggest a new leadership is needed " Padmè finished " We move for a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum's leadership ".

The room went in an uproar and various shouts and muttering could be heard in every inch of the room. Valorum fell back in his seat stunned, as his vice chair shouted for order in the room.

" Vote now, vote now, vote now " the assembly chanted.

" Now they will elect a new Chancellor " Palpatine explained to Padmè and Athena " A strong Chancellor, one who will not let our tragedy continue ".

Athena and Padmè just stare straight ahead.

Athena stood next to Padmè as they stared out the window of the room they were in, The sun was setting and the buildings started to glow with nightlife. They wore both wore black dresses with the usual make up and their hair done up, Jar jar walks over to the sisters.

" Yousa tinking, Sousa people ganna die? " Jar Jar quietly asked them.

" We don't know " Padmè says as she and Athena continued to stare out the window, they were worried about their people and Naboo.

" Gungan get pasted too, ehh? " Jar Jar asked.

" We hope not " Athena says.

" Gungan's no dyin', without a fight " Jar Jar says with determination in his voice " Wesa warriors, wesa got a grand army. Dat's why you no liken us, Mesa thinks ".

Befor Athena or Padmè could respond, The Captain and Palpatine walk in the room.

" Your highnesses " The Captain called out and Palpatine turns around and bows smiling at the sisters " Your highnesses, Senator Palpatine has been nominated to succeed Valorum as supreme chancellor ".

" A surprise, to be sure. But a welcome one " Palpatine says, Athena and Padmè didn't show any emotion as they walked to the other side of the room " Your majesties, if I am elected. I promise to put an end to corruption ".

" Who else has been nominated? " Padmè asked.

" Bail Antilles of Alderaan and Ainlee Teem of Malastare " The Captain says.

" I feel confident our situation will create a strong sympathy vote for us, I will be chancellor " Palpatine declared.

" I fear by the time you have control of the bureaucrats. Senator, there'll be nothing nothing left of our people, our way of life " Athena says in a harsher tone than she meant to. Palpatine sits down in a nearby chair as Athena stars where she is while Padmè paces around the room.

" I understand your concern, your majesty " Palpatine says to Athena " Unfortunately, the federation has possession of our planet " Palpatine added as he look at Padmè who stopped pacing and placed her hands on the meeting table behind Athena.

" Senator, this is your area. I feel we must return to ours " Padmè says and Palpatine realises what she was saying.

" Go back, but you majesty. Be realistic, they'll force you both to sign the treaty " Palpatine says as he stands up.

" We will sign no treaty p, Senator " Athena says as Padmè walked and stood next to her and the sister walk over to the Captain " Our faith will be no different than that of our people ".

" We are needed there more than, we are here " Padmè added.

" Captain, ready the ship " Athena ordered as the sister walked over to the ship docks, the Captain and Jar Jar followed behind them.

" Please your majesties, stay here. Where it's safe " Palpatine pleaded with them, Athena and Padmè swiftly turned around to face him.

" It's clear to us now that the republic no longer functions, we pray you will bring sanity and compassion back to the senate " Padmè says before walking away.

" Do not fail us, Senator Palpatine " Athena says before she followed her sister.

Anakin, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon stood in the center of the Jedi council room as the council all sat in their seats.

" He is to be trained? " Qui-Gon asked.

" No, he will not be trained " Windu says.

" No " Qui-Gon asked in confusion, Anakin remains silent with a stern look on his face.

" He is too old " Windu says.

" He is the chosen one, you must see it " Qui-Gon says.

" Mmm, clouded the boy's future is " Yoda says and Qui-Gon sighed deep in thought as he weighted his opinions.

" I will train him, then " Qui-Gon says as he stepped towards Anakin and paced his hands on on the boys shoulders " I take Anakin as my Padawan learner ".

" An apprentice you have, Qui-Gon " Yoda says " Impossible to take a second ".

" The code forbids it " Windu added.

" Obi-Wan is ready " Qui-Gon argued.

" I am ready to face the trials " Obi-Wan says.

" Our own counsel, we will keep on who is ready " Yoda says.

" He is head strong and he has much to learn of the living force, but he is capable. There's little more he can learn from me " Qui-Gon says.

" Young Skywalker's, fate will be decided later " Yoda says.

" Now is not the time for this " Windu says as he leaned forward in his seat " The senate is voting for a new supreme chancellor and Queen Amidala and Princess Amidala are returning home, which will put pressure on the federation and could widen the confrontation ".

" And draw out the Queen and Princess's attacker " Ki-Adi added.

" Go with the Queen and Princess to Naboo and discover the identity of this dark warrior " Windu ordered Obi-wan and Qui-Gon " This is the clue, we need to unravel the mystery of the Sith ".

" May the force be with you " Yoda says.

Qui-Gon, Anakin and Obi-Wan all bow to the council before they leave the room.

" It's not disrespect, Master. It's the truth " Obi-Wan says to Qui-Gon as they walked around the ship, The crew was currently loading it up for the journey back to Naboo.

" From your point of you " Qui-Gon says.

" The boy is dangerous and they said probably would of said the same about the girl if she was there, her fate is uncertain as his. They all sense it, why can't you? " Obi-Wan says before he stopped in his tracks and turned to Obi-Wan.

" Their fate is uncertain, they're not dangerous " Qui-Gon says sternly " The council will decide Anakin's future, Athena will decide her own and the council will then decide for her if she chooses the path of the Jedi. That should be enough for you, now get on board ".

Obi-Wan remains silent as he turned around to board the ship, Qui-Gon turned to his side and saw R2 and Anakin standing there.

" Qui-Gon, sir. I don't want to be a problem and I'm sure Athena doesn't either " Anakin says quietly as he walked towards the Jedi Master.

" You won't be Ani, neither will Athena " Qui-Gon says warmly to the boy as he kneeled down to Anakin's height " I'm not allowed to train you, so I want you to watch me and be mindful. Always remember your focus determines your reality, stay close to me and you'll be safe ".

" Master, Sir " Anakin says " I heard Yoda talking about midi-chlorians, I've been wondering....what are midi-chlorians? ".

" Midi-chlorians are a microscopic life form that resides within all living cells " Qui-Gon explained.

" They live inside me and Athena? " Anakin asked.

" Inside your cells, yes. And we are symbionts with them " Qui-Gon says.

" Symbionts? " Anakin asked.

" Life forms living together for a mutual advantage, without the midi-chlorians. Life could not exist and we would have no knowledge of the force, they continually speak to us, telling us the will of the force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you'll hear them speaking to you ".

" I don't understand " Anakin says as he shook his head in confusion.

" With time and training, Ani. You will, you will " Qui-Gon says reassuringly to Anakin while standing up as Athena and Padmè walked towards the ship " Your majesties, It will be our pleasure to continue to serve and protect you ".

" We welcome, your help " Padmè says to Qui-Gon and Athena glances at Anakin before looking away "Senator Palpatine, features that the federation means to destroy us ".

" I assure you, I will not allow that to happen " Qui-Gon says to the sisters as they entered the ship.

" Wesa goin HOOOME " Jar Jar cheers as he entered the ship.

" Come on, R2 " Anakin says as he enter the ship.
