Meilani was all but carried by Derek back down to the solid ground, the shouts of Kira, Allison, Isaac hitting their ears from up above on the roof. Once they reached the parking lot and saw the mess of cars surrounding a growing pool of water with the still sparking wire, they saw Kira stood in the middle of it and Isaac laid twitching on the other side. Meilani and Derek watched in shock as the wire whipped around in front of Kira's face and the Yukimura girl reached to grab the thing.

Kira clasped her hand over the top of the sparking wire, a red hue glowing between her fingers. The lights around them at that lit up the outside and inside of the hospital began to flicker as Kira closed her eyes shut in concentration. When she fluttered her eyes open again, Meilani gasped at the sight of Kira's golden brown eyes instead of her usual darker brown, almost black eyes.

Derek pushed away from Meilani once the sparks were dead and ran over to Isaac to check on him. Then, Meilani heard two things that night that would run her blood right cold.

The first was that Isaac wasn't breathing and there was severe burns on the side of his face and neck. A bunch of nurses and doctors had rushed over to try CPR which was proving useless so they had to haul Isaac onto a gurney and into the hospital to try to save him in there. Meilani just prayed that Isaac's healing abilities would kick in and just make him better.

The second was one that really tore her heart out and chucked it half away across California. Parrish had walked over to Meilani to tell her that Stiles was missing along with Roscoe . . . again. She had just gotten him back and she was already without him. A horrible feeling began to settle into the pit of her stomach about what was really going on with him. A feeling that she wanted to badly to be wrong because it would be something that she didn't know how to save him from.

A thought that only sent Meilani's body into complete numbness.

It had been two days.

Two days since Isaac had been in the hospital and Meilani was told she couldn't go visit her beta because he needed time.

Two days since Stiles had gone for missing the second time in two days and all but sent Meilani into a frantic and anxiety ridden mess. She didn't even know the amount of times she had called Stiles' phone in the span of the two days. All of them had gone straight to voice mail, but she still got to hear his voice at least. So that was something . . . she guessed.

A glance to her alarm showed that it was six AM and that she wouldn't be getting any more sleep - not that she had gotten any the past two days to begin with. She rolled out of her bed and moved robotically around her room to get dressed for school which consisted of jeans, one of Stiles' old gray hoodies that still smelled like him, and her gray converses. She quickly put her hair into a french braid and grabbed her bag just as Rafe stepped into the room, dressed for work.

"Hey, MeMe. I didn't expect you to be awake," Rafe said, stuffing his hands into his suit pant pockets as he stopped in front of her. He frowned at the dark bags under his daughter's eyes that just showed how little sleep she'd gotten the past two days and the dullness to her usually bright eyes. He didn't even think he'd seen her smile once since that night at the hospital and the only person she'd ever let into her room was Scott who had held her two nights ago as he tried to get her to sleep.

Scott didn't even complain once that he lost a bunch of sleep that night because he was more worried about his twin. Not only had she lost Stiles for the second time, but she also had Isaac in the hospital and didn't know if he was okay. It wasn't a secret that Isaac and Meilani had formed a special bond ever since he'd moved into the McCall house hold and he became her beta once she earned her True Alpha status. Having Isaac hurt was like Meilani losing a limb and then the added fact of Stiles missing for the second time just added onto it and made her a shell of a person.

"Can't exactly wake up if you never went to sleep, so . . . " Meilani mumbled, her voice laced with grogginess and sleep deprivation. "Um, Dad? You wouldn't happen to know anything about Stiles, right? I was going to text Noah, but I know he's going through a lot and - "

"I don't know, but your mom might. Stilinski usually tells me about as much as I need to know and that's it," Rafe chuckled to try and lighten the mood but the smile he received from Meilani looked more like a grimace. He stepped closer to his daughter and placed a hand on her shoulder, squeezing it gently. "They'll find him, MeMe. He's always okay, but I have to leave for work. Try to get through today, okay?"

Meilani nodded and was shocked for a moment when Rafe pressed a soft kiss to her forehead and left the room. Had she had any sense of herself right then, she probably would have made an off hand comment about him finally being a father. However, all her words got stuck in her throat and Meilani felt the overwhelming urge to just break down and cry again. Not like she had any tears left to cry.

Meilani walked downstairs to see Scott was already downstairs with Melissa, the two of them nursing mugs of coffee. Scott had been the only one out of the twins to get any form of sleep since everything had happened. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough to make him a functioning human being unlike his sister. She knew that Scott was forcing himself to be okay so he can be the strong between the two since Meilani just completely collapsed under all the weight of everything. It officially all caught up to her and it was a wonder she was even able to stand on her two feet.

"Anything?"

Melissa and Scott's heads snapped at the sound of Meilani's voice and they both looked at her in the same sympathetic and concerned way they had been since Stiles and Roscoe were both gone. "Um, they're still looking for him. It's past the forty-eight hour mark, but I guess if anyone is going to be missing for two days and turn up just fine, it's Stiles."

Meilani nodded jerkily and fiddled with the string on Stiles' hoodie. "What about Isaac?"

"Maybe we should go by the hospital before you and Scott go to school," Melissa responded softly, getting up to place her mug in the sink. "I'll finish getting ready and then we can go, okay?"

"Okay, Mom," Meilani whispered and walked over to sit next to Scott at the table. She folded her arms on the table and pressed her forehead to them, letting out a heavy sigh.

Scott rubbed his twin's back comfortingly, not knowing what else to do for his sister. He'd never seen her this messed up before and he had to hold her for a month after she was told her dad would never be coming back home. She looked so emotionally and mentally drained and Scott couldn't do a single thing for her besides hold her while she cries or try to keep her mind distracted. A hard task when two of her three boys were in trouble. "Mei . . . "

"I miss him, Scott," Meilani's voice cracked and she sniffled quietly, keeping her face in her arms so she wouldn't have to look at Scott's worried expressions. "He's missing and I can't help find him because I can't get his scent anywhere and I feel useless. I just want him back."

Scott's heart shattered as he felt his sister's back shake with tears that she didn't even in her anymore. He pulled her up and held her against his chest just like he had done that night after the hospital. "Mei, we're going to find him. We'll bring him home and we'll make sure he's okay. If you can find Mom, Noah and Chris under that Nemeton, then you can find Stiles now. Just keep positive for me, okay?"

Meilani wiped under her eyes with the sleeve of her hoodie and mumbled back a response, just letting her brother hug her to keep her from completely shattering into a million pieces.

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

The ride over to the hospital was silent while Meilani just gripped onto her brother's torso as he sped his motorbike through the streets of Beacon Hills behind Melissa. Melissa didn't want Meilani anywhere near a wheel so until Stiles was back and Isaac was okay, Meilani would have to be chauffeured around like a small child. She did appreciate the sentiment of wanting to make sure she was okay. She couldn't exactly emote that at the moment, but she still appreciated it.

When they had gotten to the floor that Isaac was on, Meilani noticed Allison passed out against the wall. She quietly walked up to Allison so she wouldn't scare her and gently nudged the Argent girl's shoulder, effectively waking up the girl. "Hey, Alli. You been here all night?"

Allison cleared her throat and sat up on the bench, rubbing her eyes to rid the exhaustion from them. "Yeah, they won't let me see him because I'm not family. I told them he doesn't have any besides us."

Melissa retrieved a small white key card from her purse and smiled mischievously at the three teens. "I happen to have a key card." She walked over to the double doored room that Isaac was in alone and swiped her card. The automatic doors opened swiftly and Meilani saw Isaac was in a massive room by himself in the middle of the room with multiple glass cabinets filled with medicines and syringes lined the walls of the room.  "Be quick, guys, okay?"

Meilani took a shaky breath in and stepped into the room with Allison and Scott following close behind her. She walked up to Isaac's bed side and didn't need the heart monitor to tell her that Isaac's heart beat was steady, but hearing the slow beeps helped her realize Isaac was breathing and okay. However, the burns still looked brutal down the side of his face, neck and arm and she furrowed her eyebrows, confused on why Isaac's healing abilities hadn't kicked in yet.

"I thought he'd be healing by now," Scott spoke up, voicing Meilani's exact thoughts aloud.

"So did I," Meilani mumbled, reaching her hand forward to wrap it around Isaac's forearm. She flinched at the pain that shot up her arm, feeling exactly how Isaac was in the moment.

"Is he in pain?" Allison questioned, noticing the pain ridden expression on Meilani's face.

Meilani silently nodded before she gripped onto Isaac's forearm tighter and tried to take some of his pain from him. Black veins crawled up her hand and disappeared underneath the sleeve of her hoodie. She inhaled sharply as Isaac's back arched slightly off the bed and a small breath of relief released past Isaac's lips.

Scott wrapped his hand around Meilani's and gently pried it off Isaac's arm when she noticed how weak she was getting from all the pain. He was pretty sure her teeth were about to shatter from how hard she grit them from the intense pain that she just absorbed. "Mei, too much will kill you. You know that."

Meilani cradled her arm to her chest as it throbbed painfully and rubbed the sore spot to try and ease the ache. "It won't heal him, but it helps him with the pain."

"Did Stiles really do this?" Allison inquired, staring down at Isaac as she brushed a piece of hair away from his face.

Meilani chewed on the inside of her lip and knew that her bad feelings about what was wrong with Stiles was right. Her fear only rearing its ugly head right in her face and making her want to scream out until she couldn't anymore. "Whatever is controlling him did it. I didn't want to believe that he could have been the one to be targeted, but . . . "

Allison offered Meilani the sympathetic look she'd been getting from everyone lately. Even Derek had given the girl a soft look and called her the day after the hospital to check on her. He sounded just as tired as Meilani felt, but he still kept a strong front up to make sure Meilani was okay. "Well, then how do we get whatever is inside of him the hell out of him?"

"Deaton's working on something," Scott spoke up, earning a confused look from Meilani not knowing their boss had been involved. "I called him after the hospital. I didn't want to make you feel even worse by telling you that I thought it was Stiles and you didn't want to believe it. So . . . I called Deaton myself and he's working on it.  We just have to talk to Kira when we get to school."

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

"The thing is, in all the stories, Kitsune are tricksters. They're mischievous. They don't really get caught up in the right or wrong or even understand it," Kira explained to the twins as they walked through the dark, empty halls together of the high school.

"What's that mean? It's just doing this for the hell of it?" Meilani asked.

"No, there was something else I found. If you somehow offend a Nogitsune, it can react pretty badly."

Scott stopped to the side of the hall with the two girls even though there was no one else in the section of the school they had all walked through so they could talk privately without the prying ears of the other students. "Well, how would you even offend a Nogitsune?"

Kira shook her head with a shrug, sighing quietly. "I don't know, but if it's doing something this bad, then someone really, really offended it."

Meilani puffed out her cheeks and threw her head back with a groan. So this evil spirit was pretty much in her boyfriend and making him attack innocent people because he got his emotions hurt? To make matters worse, Noah still didn't know about the evil spirit that was in his son and Meilani didn't even know how to begin to tell him about it.

If she would at all.

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

The day dragged along and Meilani found herself in the locker room with Ethan, Aiden and Scott on the other side of the lockers away from the other boys and Coach who had just stepped out of his office with a pen in his hand.

"Listen up! Anybody catches the slightest glimpse of Stilinski, you contact the first available teacher. Got it? Got it!" Coach yelled and was satisfied when the boys yelled back a yes, Coach. "There's a card on my desk for Isaac Lahey, and every one of you losers is not only going to sign it, you're going to write a personal message so profound and deep, it's going to bring a tear to Coach's eyes. Who's first?"

"You look like death," Aiden commented and smiled innocently when Meilani shot him an unamused glare. "Too soon?"

"I hate you," Meilani grumbled and leant against the lockers next to Scott while Ethan and Aiden stood before them.

Ethan nudged Aiden to lay off Meilani, though he knew Aiden was really just trying to get the poor McCall girl to crack at least one smile. He could even see how done and exhausted Meilani looked and he wished there was something he could do for her. "No demonic ninjas, no Stiles. Things are getting too quiet."

"You're telling me," Meilani scoffed and picked at a loose piece of string on Stiles' hoodie. "It's making me nervous, too." She suddenly pushed off the lockers as a metallic type of whirring sounded in her ears. It almost sounded like the emitters that Chris used when they were trying to lure Boyd and Cora towards the high school.

"You guys hear that?" Ethan questioned, seeming to have been focusing on the sound as well.

"It's an emitter. One of Chris'," Meilani breathed and her eyes locked with Scott's. "Scott, you stay here while we go check it out. Just make up a lie for us to Coach is he asks anything."

Scott barely had the chance to respond before Meilani took off out of the locker room with Ethan and Aiden barreling right behind her. They all froze in the hallway outside the boys' locker room and listened intently to see where in the building the whirring was coming from. Aiden mumbled something about the basement before the trio took off towards the basement door at the other end of the hallway and all but jumped down the steps.

Meilani froze in her steps when she turned to the right and saw a figure stood at the end of the short hallway near the storage shelves and janitor lockers that held their items during the school day. She didn't even need the scent of Roscoe and lingerings of cologne to know that it was Stiles. Just the back of his head alone was enough to tell her that it was her boyfriend.

Stiles slowly turned to face the three wolves and revealed the bright emitter in his hand that continued to make the whirring sounds. Meilani swore that her knees nearly buckled at the sight of him. It looked just like Stiles with his soft look the second his eyes landed on Meilani, the same loving and adoring look she'd always got from him. There was something inside of him that no longer made him Stiles.

However, something was off about the whole thing and Meilani didn't know what.

"Okay, I know what you three are thinking, but it's me. I swear to God it's me," Stiles stressed, holding his hands up to show he didn't have anything and wouldn't be harming them.

Meilani stumbled back when the twins pushed past her, already shifted and charging at her boyfriend. Ethan and Aiden grabbed Stiles by the throat and hoisted him into the air, choking the Stilinski boy slightly. She was stunned for a moment as she stared at Stiles, something in her gut telling her that it was Stiles. That he somehow overpowered the Nogitsune inside of him and was actually here. He was really here.

"Wait, stop!" Meilani shouted, rushing over to the three boys. She grabbed Ethan by the back of his pull over sweater and flung him back into the lockers behind them.

Aiden let go of Stiles next and turned to Meilani, growling warningly in her face to back off.

Meilani flashed her red alpha eyes at Aiden and roared thunderously, causing the omega to whimper and cower back from her at the sound. She glared at the twin boys to stay back from Stiles or they'd be joining Isaac next in the hospital. Once her face was back to normal again, Meilani slowly drifted her gaze over to her boyfriend who had a soft yet scared look in his eyes.

"It's me, princess. I swear it's me," Stiles pleaded, needing his girlfriend at least to believe him. If she didn't believe him, then it was all over and he didn't even know what he'd do if he couldn't even get his own girlfriend to realize it's him. "Please. I don't know where I've been the past two days or what I have been doing, but this is me. I promise."

Meilani's eyes bounced between Stiles' hazel eyes and she swore she could have gotten lost in them for hours because she hadn't been able to look at him in days. She was pretty sure if she had gone any longer without her boyfriend she would have really broke for good. Her breath hitched in her throat when he stepped closer to her and cupped her cheeks gently, rubbing them soothingly with his thumbs.

"You believe me, don't you?" Stiles whispered, eyes bouncing between her eyes and her lips that he so desperately wanted to press his own to after being away from her for so long. When Meilani silently nodded since she couldn't find the words to respond, he bent down and pressed his lips gently to hers.

Meilani had to hold back the cry she wanted to let out now that her boyfriend was back. He still had the Nogitsune in him, but he was here. They could actually work on what to do to get it out of him if he was here and currently in control of his own body.

"You do remember what happened at the hospital, don't you?" Ethan snapped, pushing himself back to his own feet and ruining the moment between the couple. Then he wondered why Meilani didn't want him or Aiden in her pack.

"I know more than that," Stiles replied, reluctantly pulling away from his girlfriend and walking over to a bag that was placed to the side of the room that Meilani had missed when she'd rushed over to pull Ethan and Aiden away from Stiles. He picked up a folded up blue print and held it up the three wolves before him to see. "You see this? It's a blueprint of the hospital's electrical wiring."

Meilani and the twins stepped closer as Stiles unfolded the blueprint to reveal multiple spots had been circled in a red pen and multiple instructions and labels were written below each circle. It was all in Stiles' handwriting and Meilani's brain throbbed even more as she tried to make sense of everything. Something that was extremely hard since she had no idea where to even begin.

"You see all these markings in red? That's my handwriting. I know I did this. I caused the accident," Stiles admitted, glancing up to his girlfriend who squatted down next to him to take a closer look at the blueprint. "Everything in this bag, it's all stuff that could be part of something bigger."

Aiden and Ethan squatted down in front of the couple and Aiden reached into the bag full of tools and wires to take out a small jackknife. He eyed it warily and slowly drifted his eyes back to Stiles. "What the hell have you been up to?"

Stiles bounced on the ball of his feet like he usually did when he was nervous or scared. The smell of anxiety and fear were pungent in the air and Meilani wished she could take all that pain from him. "I think something worse. A lot worse."

Meilani ran her hands over her face as she let out a long breath while the three boys hoisted the sports bag filled with tools onto the table to the side of the room. She slowly pushed herself to her feet and joined Ethan and Aiden at the table while they pulled out multiple sized ropes and wires along with a set of chains and miscellaneous tools.

"The hell were you doing? Building a Terminator?" Aiden mused and his laughter quickly died out when Meilani narrowed her gaze at him. "Sorry."

"Yeah, thanks for that," Stiles quipped back at the boy as he paced back and forth behind the three wolves.

Meilani pulled out a folded up white sheet of paper and unfolded it to reveal a small map. "Guys, this is a map. It's the cross country trail and then this is the Tate's car. Where Malia Tate's family died," she explained, pointing to the spot on the map that read LOOKOUT POINT.

Stiles walked over and leaned his hands on the table so he could look over the map where his girlfriend pointed. He puffed out his cheeks and ran his hand over his hair exasperatedly. "You mean that's where her father set up those steel-jawed traps."

"Isn't the lacrosse team running on those exact trails . . . right now?"

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

While Stiles and Aiden sped over to the start of the trails in Stiles' Jeep, Ethan and Meilani took off on foot to get onto it through the trees. Ethan took off to find Danny and make sure his ankle didn't snapped in half and Meilani took off to find Kira and make sure her brother's future girlfriend didn't get her ankle snapped off either. Just as Meilani had broken through a thicket of trees, she nearly crashed into Kira and wrapped her arms around the girl to stop her from running any further.

Since Kira had been running so fast that it nearly put Barry Allen to shame, the two girls stumbled and Kira beamed up at Meilani with an excited grin. "Meilani, did you see how fast I was going?!"

"Yeah, you almost sent us flying," Meilani laughed, slowly removing her arms from around Kira and glanced around them. "But we need to stop the others."

"What? Why? Are you okay?" Kira rambled off questions, twisting Meilani this way and that to check her for anything wrong on her person.

Before Meilani could open her mouth to respond, Stiles' shouts for her and Kira came from their left and they saw him run over with Aiden and Coach at his side. He yelled for the rest of the lacrosse team to stop that had finally caught up to Kira and they all skidded to a stop, most of them nearly toppling over from the sudden stops.

Stiles bent down and brushed away a pile of leaves to reveal a metal ring, pulling it up to reveal trail of chain links. He continued to pull at the chain links and it almost looked like that magic trick that magicians did with the never ending handkerchiefs. However, unlike the colorful and joy bringing that the magician's trick brought, this trick brought a feeling of dread to Meilani. By the time that Stiles finished pulling at the chain links, he pulled up an empty metal ring on the other side that matched the one that Stiles used to pull up the chain links in the first place.

Coach Finstock clapped sarcastically as he rounded Stiles who looked flabbergasted that there was nothing there like he had thought there would be. "Congratulations, Stilinski. You found a length of chain. Can somebody now please tell me what the hell is going on?"

Meilani's eyes widened when she saw Coach Finstock go to take another step further and noticed the tight string that rest just before his shin. She went to call out to him before he could trigger the wire, but it was too late as he stepped forward. The wire tugged and the sound of an arrow flying through the air whizzed past Meilani's ear and right into the middle of Coach Finstock's stomach.

"Oh, crap," Finstock cried, slowly dropping back to the ground on his back.

Meilani cursed under her breath and dropped to Coach Finstock's side while everyone else crowded around them. She placed her hands on Coach's shoulder while Stiles dropped to Coach's other side with Aiden and pressed his hands to Coach's wounds, Coach's white track jacket staining a dark crimson.

"Get it out of me! Get it out of me!" Coach screamed, clutching onto Aiden's hand who had offered it up since he could take a lot more pressure than any of the other kids on the lacrosse team. "Get it out of me! I"m going to die!"

"Coach, you're not going to die," Stiles huffed at the coach, only pressing harder on his wound to try and stop the bleeding as best he could.

"Coach, it'll hurt less if you stop moving," Aiden yelled over Coach's repeating of i'm going to die and another student had announced they called the ambulance already. "Stay still, Coach. An ambulance is coming, okay?" He knelt up on his knees and waved them for the rest of the kids to move back and away from Finstock. "Get back! Get back! Get him some room! Get back!"

When Meilani saw that the kids had gone off a bit away to wait for the ambulance to come for Finstock, she didn't even think twice about taking Finstock's hand into both of hers. She closed her eyes and took in Coach's pain so he could fidgeting and lay still. She whined at the hot white pain that erupted in her stomach and let out a breath when she stopped.

"I think he passed out," Aiden informed, glancing down to Finstock who had gone still with his eyes closed.

Stiles' heart spiked through the roof and Meilani's head snapped up to see Stiles staring down at his violently shaking, bloodied hands. He panted and a light layer of sweat began to break out on his forehead as he quietly freaked out. "I could have killed him. I could have killed him, right? What if it was his head or his throat?"

"Babe, it wasn't and he's going to be alright," Meilani assured her boyfriend as best she could, gently placing Coach's hand back down at his side now that he was passed out and couldn't feel the pain anymore.

"I think I just heard an ambulance coming," Aiden announced and, sure enough, the sound of the ambulance siren was heard through the trees.

It didn't take long for the paramedics to Finstock into the back of the ambulance and Stiles had gone over to see his dad. He had Meilani and the twins wait for him by Roscoe so that he could have alone time with Noah. It was hard for Meilani not to listen on the conversation between Stiles and Noah because she wanted to make sure they were both okay, but she relaxed slightly when she saw them cling onto each other.

"Lan, you might wanna come look at this," Ethan called and Meilani rounded Roscoe to the back where Ethan had the trunk propped open with the gag bag they had used when pulling the prank on Finstock during Mischief Night.

"This is the wrapping paper we used for Coach's birthday present," Meilani noted, holding up the blue and gold wrapping paper.

"Wasn't that William Barrow's thing? A bomb made from nails and bolts all wrapped in a birthday present? Where did it go off?"

Meilani's blood ran cold as she slowly glanced over her shoulder to Stiles who was now talking animatedly to his father, waving his hands spastically like he usually did when he talked. She furrowed her eyebrows as she diverted her attention back to Ethan. "On a school bus. We need to tell Noah. Now."

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

There hadn't been a bomb on the bus, which was a good thing because Jared had been the one to be clutching onto the box like his life depended on it. At the time, it had been because if that had been a bomb, Jared and a whole bus full of students would have perished. When Parish had gone onto the bus to check it out with the bomb vest covering his chest, he didn't find a bomb but he found Noah's name plate from his desk inside the present that was wrapped in the same packaging as Coach's had been.

Noah had gone rigid and he realized that the bomb wasn't at the school, but at the sheriff's station instead. The same station that Meilani and Scott's father were at right now for work along with a dozen other deputies. Meilani and Scott, who had run back to the school with Meilani, the twins and Stiles, had instantly hopped onto the Scott's bike while Noah and Stiles got into the sheriff squad car with Parrish.

As they sped over to the station, dark and ominous clouds suddenly took over the town of Beacon Hills. Thunder and lightning crashed around Scott and Meilani as they zipped their way through the incredibly dark streets, making it look like it was eight o'clock at night and not nearly three in the afternoon. The weather definitely did not settle the pit in Meilani's stomach as she only felt like the weather was a warning to her.

When they all arrived at the sheriff station, Noah's office had blown to bits and chunks of wood, glass and computer littered the ground, while the deputies all coughed out the smoke that they had breathed in when the bomb detonated. Noah had instantly gotten on his cell phone and called for an ambulance as multiple deputies had been injured from the explosion.

"Lani! Lani!" Stiles yelled over the chaos of the sheriff station and Meilani rushed over to him with Scott to see a deputy had been blown onto his back, blood pooling from his mouth as he had multiple shards of glass littered in his body. "Can you do something? Take his pain? Anything to make it easier?"

Meilani grabbed the deputy's hand in hers and groaning as his pain transferred over to her. She grunted as the could feel the stabbing pain in her stomach and felt her heart shatter when the deputy went limp in her hold and she could no longer hear his heart beat. "No, no, no. Come on!"

Meilani vaguely heard Noah yell at her, Scott and Stiles to go and Scott hauled his twin and best friend to their feet, pulling them into the front area that hadn't been affected by the blast. The second they had stepped out into the front area, Kira ran up to the trio with a frantic look in her eye.

"Meilani, the Oni. They're coming. We have to go," Kira panted, her wide eyes bouncing between the three teens. "Like, right now."

"Stiles, we need to go," Meilani yelled over the craziness that went on behind them and took his hand, tugging him outside to his Jeep.

The four teens climbed into Roscoe, becoming slightly wet from the onslaught of pouring rain that fell from the sky. Stiles had to turn the windshield wipers up to their highest setting just to even barely see out the windshield. It was just a good thing that the streets were empty so Stiles didn't have to worry about crashing into anyone. He didn't even have to ask Meilani to know that she wanted to head to the animal clinic since it was like their second home at this point.

"Wait, so it's an animal clinic?" Kira questioned after Scott had explained everything to Kira about Deaton.

"Yeah, the place is lined with mountain ash. Just like our house. It will buy us some time. My house is too far from the station to head there first," Meilani replied, trying not to completely freak out over the Oni reappearing. They already found out Stiles was the Nogitsune so why did they need to come back?

"But they can get through?"

Meilani nodded at Stiles' question and sighed, collapsing back against the seat. She didn't know how much time they really had since it had only taken about five minutes for the Oni to break through the barrier back at the McCall residence. "Eventually, yes. We don't really have any other options at the moment, though. So we have to go there."

Stiles eventually pulled up in the first spot in front of the clinic and it almost seemed like the rain was coming down even harder if that were even possible. The four teens pushed their way out of Stiles' Jeep and out into the pouring down rain, running over to the animal clinic door. They were all instantly drenched from the attack of rain water and before Meilani or Scott could reach for their keys to the animal clinic, Meilani's ears perked up at the sound of swooshing behind her.

"You have got to be kidding me," Meilani huffed and whirled around to see the Onis appear out of the shadows and surrounded them so they couldn't run back to the Jeep. She tossed her animal clinic keys to Scott since she had gotten them out and ordered her brother to get Stiles and Kira inside. She turned back around to face the Onis, already shifted into her alpha form and roaring loudly at them in warning.

The Onis all quickly circled Meilani and she ducked and dodged under all of their attacks. She heard Stiles yell for Kira, but saw her begin to fight off the Onis with Meilani. She fought like she had done this her whole life and quickly overpowered one of the Onis, picking up a pipe near by and swung it at the Oni like it was a bat.

In Meilani's moment of distraction of watching Kira, she yelled out in agony as one of the Onis shoved their long swords into her stomach far enough that it poked out through her back side. She growled and dropped to her knees, clutching the sword that was shoved up to the hilt in her mid-section, every breath shooting an immense amount of pain through her.

Stiles barreled over to his girlfriend with Scott at his side and the two boys wrapped Meilani's arms around their shoulders, bringing the weakened alpha into the animal clinic. Kira was right behind them and shut the door behind her, locking it and rushing into the main examination room where Scott and Stiles had propped Meilani up against the the metal examination table.

Kira stopped before Meilani and frowned deeply when she heard the yell of agony that escaped Meilani's lips when the table nudged at the sword. She took a cautious step towards the alpha and wrapped her hand around the hilt, shooting the girl a look of assurance that she'd help her get it out.

"Kira, you need to hurry so she can heal," Scott pleaded, not liking the pain ridden look that Meilani's face scrunched into.

Kira took a deep breath and clutched the hilt with both hands, nodding to Meilani that she was going to start to pull it out so she can heal. Before Kira could pull the knife more than inch out, Stiles' hand gripped the raven haired girl's hand and pried it off the hilt, twisting it so she would yelp out in pain. Scott and Meilani both fixed a confused look to the Stilinski boy at what the hell he thought he was doing.

However, Scott's look didn't last too long when Stiles slammed Kira's head against his and the two dropped to the floor unconscious.

Meilani felt panic course through her veins as her mind put the puzzle pieces together, eyeing Stiles warily as he now stood in front of her. He mockingly danced his fingers along the top of the sword while he gripped Meilani's shoulder with the other hand. It was only proven that it was definitely not Stiles anymore when he gripped the hilt and twisted it violently. A cry of pure agony ripped out of Meilani's throat as Stiles twirled the sword all the way around so it sat horizontally in her stomach and not vertically.

"Does it hurt?" Void mocked, pressing the sword just the tiniest bit deeper into Meilani's stomach. "Hey, look at me, Princess."

Meilani raised her eyes to meet with the face that was no longer Stiles. The brightness in his hazel eyes were now so dark they almost looked black and the pure look of mocking and sadistic did not match the beautiful face that Meilani was used to. Her brain tried so hard to separate the two because Stiles was possessed and it wasn't him, but she couldn't get past the fact that her boyfriend was the one twisting the sword. Possessed or not, it still hurt her heart enough for it to shatter right to the floor.

"Oh, Princess," Void tutted, shaking his head as a psychotic laugh left his lips. "You should hear the way your boyfriend is screaming for you right now. The way that he is just distraught at the pain that is on your face right now, wanting more than anything to just wrap you up in his arms and protect you from the bad of the world.  Or the way he tried to break free when he saw you in the basement at the school. He must really love you, huh?" He chuckled darkly and only gripped the hilt tighter in his hand, his hand on her shoulder tightening. "You should have done your reading, Meilani. See, a Nogitsune feeds off choas, strife and pain. This morning, you took sweet, innocent Isaac's pain, then you took it from Bobby Finstock, and then from a dying deputy. You really alpha of the year, aren't you, Princess? All that pain. You took it all. Now I'm going to take it from you."

Meilani flinched when Void slapped his hand to the side of Meilani's head, black veins taking over his pale hands that once belonged to Scott. She gasped at the tingling feeling that took over her body, her eyes rolling into the back of her head as Void soaked up all the pain she'd taken from three separate people that day. She could feel it all get virtually zapped out of her body.

"You really have to learn, Princess," Void whispered, bringing his face threateningly close to Meilani's face. It nearly made Meilani cry since, usually when she was this close to Stiles' face, he had that same soft and loving look he gave to her no matter what was happening. Not this pure look of evil and cockiness that he stared at Meilani with now. "You really have to learn not to trust a fox. Mmm-mmm. Know why? 'Cause they are tricksters. They will fool you and everyone around you."

"Not everyone."

Meilani jumped at Deaton's sudden appearance and her eyes widened as she watched him jam a needle into the side of Void's neck. Whatever was in the needle was enough to make him stumble away from Meilani and collapse to the ground, unconscious. She let out a small whimper as she watched Stiles' eyes close shut and her eyes met with Deaton.

Deaton didn't give her a warning when he gripped the hilt and swiped the sword right out of Meilani's stomach, causing the alpha girl's eyes to flash red momentarily at the pain and she had to hold onto the table behind her to keep her upright.

"A little warning next time!" Meilani growled, panting heavily at the pain that still throbbed through her whole her body. "What was that, Deaton? Was that a cure? Is Stiles going to be okay?"

Deaton shook his head and he was the only one to not give Meilani the sympathetic look that everyone else had been the past two days. "The fox is poisoned, but he's not dead."

Meilani followed Deaton's line of sight over to Stiles whose chest rose and fell gently. Her eyes flickered to her twin and Kira where Kira had fallen next to Scott, their fingers brushing each other as their backs fell and rose with their own breaths to remind Meilani that all three of them were okay. Well, mostly at least.

"Not yet."

AUTHORS NOTE

Hi hey hello

You have no idea how PUMPED I have been to write this episode and the next one (Eichen/Echo House) since I started Season 3 and the first chapter of this. All I can say is just prepare yourselves for the rest of this book because Void is not going to be nice to our girl Meilani at all, not when he knows that Meilani and Stiles are together. He'll only make her life a living hell, not something I'm proud of to do but also so ready for the angst.
