"Daya...time to get up...you have a busy schedule today. I know it's 5 am, but you need to be ready by 7 am." Your mother's voice rang through the house.

Duvet covers are thrown off your body. The cool morning air seeped through your honey-coloured skin, and it was the only way you could wake up.

Rubbing your eyes, you peer out through the still-dark sky. You fell backwards on your bed with a grunt.

Your body is so worn out. Last night, you went to an industry party at the request of a renowned fashion photographer from Vogue. Your agent practically made you go, being very enthusiastic about working with you. You landed a last-minute shoot at 10 am today from a new fashion designer who was captivated by you last night.

Today you had three appointments, and your body feels drained. Your tiredness might be due to relationship issues.

Your ex got his soul mark four months ago and met his soulmate a month ago. Despite the breakup, he can't seem to move on. However, you haven't received yours yet, and your birthday is in October.

A blue-yellow string symbolized fate for him and his soulmate. Lately, he's been irritating you. The girl wants a relationship with him, but he's unwilling to commit, and you don't want to interfere. He wants you back, but you refuse to be manipulated, despite still having feelings for him.

Reluctantly, you glance at your alarm clock and rise to start your morning routine.

It's your sanctuary of euphoria in the bathroom, where you can relax in bath oils and soaps for hours on end. Unfortunately, that luxury isn't possible today. Following a refreshing shower, you went about your business.

Because you will have to be on set for a photo shoot, you dressed casually. For the "new" single you, you cut your hair three weeks ago.

Your mom was making a quick low-carb breakfast for you. A healthy breakfast is essential to her.

You kissed her cheek and said, "Good morning, mother dear".

"Good morning, Baby", she says as she glances at your glowing face. "Did you have a good sleep last night? Did you come in quite late?".

"Quite lovely...if you had come with me, I could have had an excuse to leave early (leave early)." you grin.

Mom smiled, "I needed to sleep in an extra hour. We got a buyer, but I am still not sure if I will truly let go of my life's work.

""Mom, handling me and the divorce stuff drains you, but we'll make it through. I'm in a $28 million penthouse; I got us covered. Sell the studio-got some wild memories there. Maybe start up a kid's casting agency!" you look up at her.

She put your breakfast in front of you.

Trying to blow her hot espresso and taking small sips, your mother sat down and said, "Dig in.".

"So what's the 411 (what's the gossip)."
A tentative look passes between you and your mom. She knew how hard the previous years had been for you. Whatever the cause, your parents divorced due to irreconcilable differences.

Both your parents were blue and yellow strings. Since you were there, they tried to make it work, but after 18 years, they called it quits. Right now, both of them are happy with their lives. Your dad is a record producer, and your mom wants to start an entertainment business. Each of them holds an entertainment degree.

""One of my Aussie buds, Sam, hit me up yesterday from New South Wales. Remember her, Mom?" You took a bite from your crispy bacon. You love salads with your breakfast.

"They were Aussies from NSW. The redhead one you called Merida or Ruby, right?"
Mom chuckled when she remembered the 13-year-old exchange student who lived with them for a year.

You both won auditions for a Disney show. You've been on the show for the first season. Due to her having to leave the following year, she was not able to do season 2. For that year, both of you became famous.

She left because her mother didn't want her to renew her contract. You can imagine how devastated she was. You miss her so much, and you feel so sorry for the pain she is suffering.

While you may live on different continents, you still want to stay in touch and console her.

Her favourite part of living with you was visiting your grandparents in South Africa with you.

"It ain't about her, it's about Ruby. You might recall she hooked up with this guy at 16, but Sam called and spilled that he bailed after a vacay, leaving her feeling down. Dude totally backed out of the relationship, wasting five years of her life." Your friend's situation makes you feel miserable.

Your mom looked concerned when she heard that. "That's lame...how is she coping?" your mom asked. Despite being fierce, your bestie was compassionate.

Despite not yet being soulmates, she was so in love with her boo. So far, none of you has received your marks. All of you wished to be a part of the Tarnished community.

"She's really down about it, and Sam mentioned she's getting trashed online by so-called friends, even after coming back to university from South Africa. I'm thinking of inviting them on a trip to South Africa next month. Changing scenes might help her out for a bit, and it'll help us reconnect." You furrow your brows. Your other bestie is also an up-and-coming model in Aussie.

"I understand. Please call her and ask her to go with you, but we need to leave...do you want something warm to drink?" Your mom asked.

""Thanks for the OJ, Mom. I'll just grab a juice box. Can you give me a ride today?" You wiped your mouth and thanked her for breakfast.

The bag your mother packed for you was filled with healthy snacks (usually fruit and a salad in a refrigerated pack) as well as, most importantly, a change of shoes. Fashion designers want you to wear heels, but you'll need comfortable shoes after a few hours. Your mother made sure that was the case.

Unexpectedly, you got a job today without auditioning. You were one of the new Daya models. The shoot begins at 9 a.m.

You'll be driven to the studio by your mom, who is your manager. There was a ring at the door. Lawrence Reddit is your stylist. You have been working with him since you were 13 years old and made your acting/modelling debut.

"Hello, my lovelies. Are you ready for your FN dream shoot?" he asks. You giggle because your stylist is a real character, but he does a great job.

His soulmate dropped him off, and he will ride with you. You were given a fashion brief and told what would occur during the shoot.

It is always a relaxing ride in the car. In your text conversation with your agent, you discussed the best appointment time. A short, stress-free shoot would be ideal.

Your 2nd appointment is fitting for the NY Fashion Week. You'll walk the runway with Kendell Jenner and Gigi Hadid. These successful models are your friends. You've been in the modelling business for a long time.

A cover shoot with the COSMOPOLITAN magazine was your last appointment.

You will look like a real afro-girl with the braids the stylist will do with your hair today. Mosha Lundström Halbert is a very cute fashion director. I'm sure you will like her a lot. " he has gushed. He was so excited to be working as a stylist.

The studio set was humming with activity. It did not take long for the fashion assistant to take you to your wardrobe. You have to have your hair plaited by one hairstylist to meet the fashion brief.

Stylish denim and fabulous shoes will be part of your wardrobe.

As soon as your "hairdo" was finished, the director helped you zip and button up in cool Angus booties and a fringes number by some unknown designer.

Next, you did a t-shirt shoot, but they allowed you to do some branding on the T-shirt. As part of the branding, you decided to use your artistic flair.

"There will be a few holes here and there. It looks fly now." You chuckle with the fashion assistant.

"Doesn't even matter if you redesigned it?" she smiled.

Looking at the different jackets, you smirk: "I'll pair it with denim shorts, a shirt, and a leather jacket.".

Your mom packed you grilled chicken for lunch, and your agent always counsels you on how to eat during shooting; you usually snack on nuts or dried fruit throughout the day. Everyone else ordered McDonald's. One, the fact that your mom looks after your nutritional needs are like a sergeant in the armed forces

During your appointment, you had to do several fittings for a designer for a runway show you'll be in. You, Kendell Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Rosie Huntington-Whitely will be taking part in the NY FASHION WEEK show.

Gigi found her soulmate in former One Direction member Zayn Malik, which got you wondering if he's part of the Hadid family. Your two friends tried setting you up with an NBA player, but you declined. You're waiting to meet your soulmate, and if that doesn't happen, you'll reconsider.

At the moment, you're professionally single and loving it. You and your mom had lunch after your fitting. Enjoying a mother-daughter lunch is a delight. You're looking forward to your trip to Japan with your mom-a well-deserved vacation after your hectic schedule. You'll also be visiting your maternal grandparents in Cape Town. Their native language is Afrikaans, although they're of Dutch descent. It's a chance to reconnect with your roots.

They own and manage a successful five-star game reserve/resort. It'll be like a safari for you-a vacation. You heard that your grandfather bought four lions and a white rhino, adding to the BIG FIVE. You're excited to see them but also a bit scared.

A cover photoshoot for Cosmopolitan was scheduled after another appointment.

When you and your mom arrived home, it was almost 10 pm. Your body was so tired when you got home, and without supper, you took a refreshing shower and climbed into bed. You are so tired that you cannot even read your novel or watch BANGTAN RUN BTS shows.

The dating scandal of Jungkooks at fourteen. Your friends were the only ones who knew about your secret love for Korean boys, and Jungkook was always your favourite. It's not because you secretly dated him when you were 14 years old. Your first tabloid photo in Hello magazine made you laugh. It was a huge deal in their country. His company quickly extinguished the fires and told the media that you were just dancing buddies going out for ice cream.

After dating for one week, he had to return home to debut as a singer in a group of seven. Kendell is so into RM, while Gigi likes Jhope. You're hoping to attend one of their concerts in the United States with Kendell.
