"W-Wait! Gooch, Schwoz, don't leave!" I pleaded

"Let's try to cheer Ray up." Henry insisted

"Oh, come on guys, you won't even look back at us??"

"What are Gooch and Schwoz running from?" Charlotte asked

"My dad. Because he's in a really bad mood."

"Why?"

"Because, it's his super anniversary." Henry explained

"Super..?"

"The anniversary of when he was eight years old, when he got densitized and became indestructible." I specified

"Ooh, fun. We should celebrate."

"No." Henry stopped her

"I mean- noo." Charlotte corrected herself "But why not?"

"Ray hates his super anniversary."

"Why?"

"Because, when my dad's dad realized he was indestructible, he took him out of school and started training him to be a superhero." I explained

Charlotte put on a duck mask "Yeah?"

"And now, he feels like me missed out on all the fun of being a normal kid." Henry continued

"Aw, that's so sad.." she frowned

"Yeah. He never got to go camping, ride roller coasters, he never even learned how to ride a bike." I said

"Hmm. My uncle Rosco never learned how to ride a bike."

"How come?" Henry asked

"Because, when he wss a kid he already weighed four hundred pounds." Charlotte shook her head "The bikes just couldn't take it.."

"Poor bikes." I shrugged

The bell ringed and a little girl walked in.

"Hey." Henry greeted

"Need some help?" I asked

"I was just wondering If I could try out that piano over there."

"Sure, go ahead." Charlotte said

The girl played a sweet tune on the piano.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" mt dad barged in "What's all the racket out here?"

"Uh- oh, it's just a customer checking out the piano." Henry explained

"Hey. Hey you!"

The girl turned around in fear.

"Haven't you learned how to play that crummy song yet?" my dad spat out

The girl ran out crying.

"Dad!"

"Must you torture the children?" Charlotte scolded

"Ah, just forget everything." he started walking back to the backrooms "Stupid super anniversary." my dad picked up a door knob "This knob is still loose! Oh!"

"Well, I see why Gooch and Schwoz got out of here."

"I know, right?"

An old man walked in the store "E-Excuse me, kids. I left eight thousand dollars in a rolled up newspaper. Have you seen it!?"

"No."

"Nope."

"Sorry."

The man screamed "Oh no!" before leaving the store "I'm alright! I'm alright!"

"Can you believe that?" Charlotte asked

"No!" I spat out

"Who still reads newspapers?" Henry questioned

"Right?"

"Can I take off the blindfold now?" My dad said as we guided him in the Man Cave

"No!" I spoke up

"But I can't see anything."

"Don't worry." Charlotte said

"We're not going to let you fall." Henry reassured

"Can't I just--" my dad tripped on a skateboard and fell to the ground

Henry picked up the skateboard "Did you leave this here?" he whispered

I shook my head frantically.

"So is this the surprise?" my dad asked as he sat upright "You guys blindfold me and try to kill me?"

"No.." Charlotte helped him up

"Sorry, dad.."

"Sorry, our bad." we all helped him off the ground

"Alright, Ray."

"Now, whip off that blindfold." Charlotte said

My dad took off his blindfold.

"Happy super anniversary!" we all exclaimed

He stared at all the camping equipment before looking back at us.

"I don't get it."

"You, are going to have the ultimate kid's weekend of fun." I explained

"What? What are you guys talking about?"

"Since you missed out on being a real kid.." Henry said

"This weekend, we're going to do all the fun kid stuff you missed out on." Charlotte continued

"What? Really?"

"Yeah." I agreed "Look, we got camping equipment."

"Tickets to Six Poles Over Swellview." Henry continued

"A cool new bike." Charlotte added

"Whoa." my dad walked up to the bike "Hold up. I don't know how to ride a bike."

"Dri told us." Henry said

"So, we're going to teach you." Charlotte said

"Honest?" he beamed

"Totally!" I grinned at him

"Yeah." Henry agreed

"Hey, you even got us matching t-shirts!"

"Yep."

"Uh-huh. For Ray's weekend of fum." Henry read

"Fum?"

"The t-shirt store messed up." I explained

"Oh, okay. But why are there five t-shirts?"

"Uhh.." Henry nudged my shoulder "Tell Ray who's coming."

I sighed "Our friend Jasper and Henry's little sister, Piper."

"Aw, no! Why?" my dad looked at us is annoyance

"Well, Piper sprained her ankle." Henry said

"So?"

"She's on crutches. So.. when we get to Six Poles, we get to go front in line for all the rides." Henry explained

"Ah." my dad smirked "And why are we bringing your bucket loving friend with sweaty hands?"

"Because that's Jasper's camping stuff." Charlotte explained

"And, when you get to know him, he's alot of fum." I put my hand on my dad's shoulder

"Now put on your t-shirt and let the fum begin!" Charlotte beamed

My dad put his hand on my arm "You know, you guys are really sweet to do all this for me."

We all smiled at him.

"Is it really time for me to put on my special t-shirt?" his face lit up

"Sure, go for it."

"Yeah, get in there."

A bell was ringing and I turned around "Someone's ringing the upstairs bell."

"I'll check it." Henry ran to the monitors "Ah, it's Jasper and Piper. I'll let them in."

I turned around and saw my dad wearing a small shirt that he was struggling to get on.

"This one might be Piper's."

"Ya think?" I raised an eyebrow

We heard a buzzing alarm sound and the lights started glowing red, which made me immediately cover my ears.

Huh. Strange..

"What's going on?" Henry asked

"I don't know but I hope it's not what I think it is.." my dad answered and ran to the monitors where there was a huge pop up that said 'ALERT'

"Uh.. there."

He pressed a button on the monitor panel and the alarm stopped and the lights turned back to normal.

"What happened?" I asked

"Go see if the elevator works." my dad demanded

Charlotts ran to the elevator and pressed a button but it shocked her.

"Ow! The button shocked me." she shook her hand in pain

"No way." I pressed the elevator button but got shocked too "Ow! The button shocked me."

"Henry, try the big sprocket." My dad ordered "Charlotte, go see if the secret door opens. Dria, we check the tubes."

We all ran to our spots but crashed into each other.

I ran under my tube and my dad ran under his and I tried making the tubes go down but failed.

"What? The tubes' not working either?" Henry asked

"Nope." I sighed

"We're on emergency lockdown." my dad explained

"What does that mean?" Charlotte asked

"It's part of our security system. If a criminal finds out that I work down here and tries to force his way in, Gooch can flip a switch upstairs and lock the whole place down." my dad explained

"But, the only people upstairs now are Piper and.."

"Jasper." the three of us said in unison

I saw Henry trying to call someone on his phone.

"Who you calling?" Charlotte asked

"Jasper. To let him know to flip--"

"Nope." my dad interrupted

"What?"

"Emergency lockdown mode blocks all transmitters and recievers, including cellphones." I sighed

Henry and I were sitting on the stairs while Charlotte was pacing around and my dad was trying to figure out what to do.

"Can't you cancel the lockdown?" Henry asked

My dad groaned "No. Not for forty-eight hours.."

"That's two days." Charlotte realized

"Yes, your math is perfect." I said dryly

"Well, I don't get why we can't just--" Henry got cut off by my dad

"Listen, the lockdown is on a timer. Once you flip that switch, this whole place is like a bank vault. Sealed tight. Nobody gets in or out." my dad sat down on one of the camping chairs "And there's nothing on this Earth that can change that."

"Except for Schwoz, and he's with Gooch in Palm Springs." my dad said

"So, upstairs, Junk N' Stuff is on lockdown too?" I asked

"Uh-huh."

"Which means Jasper and Piper are trapped up there together." Charlotte realized

"Oh my God." Henry's eyes went wide

We all ran to the monitors to check up on Piper and Jasper.

Piper was chasing Jasper with one of her crutches "This is your fault!"

"I didn't know!"

"You ruined everything!"

"I didn't know!"

My dad looked back at us as I sighed.

"You tried to kill me with drums!"

"I didn't know!"

"And, just one more battery to connect." my dad said

"Okay. The panel's all set." I stated

"Good. Now, hopefully these batteries will produce enough power to get one tube working so we can get out of here."

"Who's going up the tube?" Henry asked

"It has to be Audrianna."

"Why?" Henry questioned

"Because we don't have much power here, and she's the lightest." my dad explained

"Yeah. Chubby." I smacked Henry's stomach, makkng him lift his shirt up

"Okay, Dria. Get up there." Charlotte said

"You don't have to tell me twice." I walked under one of the tubes

"You better come back for us." Henry said

"And bring a pizza." my dad demanded

"A big pizza."

I rolled my eyes "Let's just get me out of here first."

"Stand by."

The lights in the Man Cave dimmed as a tube slowly came down, encasing me.

"Good. Now go for it." my dad said

"Up the tube!" I yelled

I didn't get shot up quickly. I went up slowly.

"Increase suckage!" I heard Henry yell

"Increasing suckage!" my dad exclaimed

I started going up quicker "Bye!"

I immediately fell back down on the floor. "Ow! Fa dannatamente male!"

"You didn't get the big pizza.." Henry said

"No, I didn't get the big pizza!" I snapped back

I was comforting my dad while Charlotte and Henry were by the monitors, watching Piper and Jasper.

"I knew I never should've got excited about my dumb super anniversary." my dad frowned

"I'm so sorry.." I frowned too

I hated seeing my dad this upset. He hated his super anniversary and now it just got worse.

"Hey. I'm really sorry Jasper got us trapped down here." Charlotte said

"And ruined the fun weekend we had planned for you." Henry added

"It's not your guys' fault. My super anniversary is cursed." he walked up to Henry and Charlotte and I followed

"Hey." I grinned "Maybe the weekend's not ruined."

"What do you mean?" my dad asked

"What do you mean?" Charlotte repeated

Henry caught on to my idea "All the stuff we planned for your super anniversary can still happen right here in the Man Cave."

"No it can't."

"What are you two saying?"

"Words!"

"We got all this cool stuff we brought and there's other junk around here we can use." I went on

"Kids--"

"We can still go camping, just indoors." Henry added

"There's even enough room down here to teach my dad how to ride a bike." I continued

"Their enthusiasms' are infectious." Charlotte agreed

I nudged my dad on the arm "What do you say, dad?"

"I say," my dad grabbed three of the t-shirts "Let's go have some fum."

We all screamed in excitement.

"Let's do it!" Charlotte squealed

"Don't let go. Don't let go." my dad begged me

"You're fine." I reassured him

"You're also indestructible." Charlotte reminded

"Well, I still don't wanna fall."

"Just look ahead, keep your back straight, your butt rigid, and pump your legs until you get to Charlotte." Henry instructed

"Okay."

I pushed the bike and let go, sending my dad off on his own.

I grinned widely when he managed to ride alone. I felt like a proud mom teaching my kid how to ride a bike.

"Haha! I'm riding! I'm doing it!"

"You're doing great dad!" I smiled

"I'm riding!"

We removed the training wheels off my dad's bike.

"Okay, Ray. No training wheels." Henry said

I pat my dad's back "You got this."

"Ready?" Charlotte asked

"Locked and loaded, baby." My dad said

"Okay. Do it!" we pushed my dad's bike forward

"You got it!"

"Dad, you're doing it!"

"You're doing it Ray!"

"I'm doing it! I'm riding on two wheels!"

"Dad! Look out for the--"

My dad crashed into the monitor panel.

"I'm okay." he muttered as the bike caught on fire and we looked at him in disbelief

"We need somebody!" Jasper continued playing the drums

"Help!" Piper yelled

"Anybody!"

"Help!"

"That is the worst cover of 'Help' I ever heard." I shook my head as I continued working on something

"Ray, c'mon. We're ready." Henry called out to him

"Ooh." my dad went under the thing we were building

"Welcome to.."

"Six Poles Over Swellview!" Me, Henry, and Charlotte said in unison

"You ready to ride the Flume?" I asked

"Yeah." my dad grinned "What's a Flume?"

"Juet get in the log." Charlotte demanded

"That's a cooler-"

"Pretend it's a log." Henry said

"I'll get in the log." my dad got in the cooler "Now what?"

Henry spoke into a mic "Please keep your hands inside the log at all times. Mantega las manos y los pies adentro del tronco en todo momento, por favor." he handed the microphone to me

"Now, pull the pin!" Henry instructed

My dad puled the pin and he started going down the ramp as me and Charlotte splashed water on him and Henry took a photo.

"Yes! That was alot of fum!"

"I didn't know that camping involved marshmallows and fire." my dad said

I smiled and leaned my head on Henry's shoulder as the fire reflected into my eyes, taking in the warmth.

Henry leaned his head on mine as we took in the warmth embrace of the fire.

"This is fantastic. But it would be better if Henry wasn't leaning on my daughter!" my dad scolded

I immediately removed my head from Henry's shoulder.

"Sorry."

"Our bad. Hey, are you sure it's cool to have this fire here?" I asked my dad

"Oh yeah. But only because I'm an adult, and I'm supervising this activity."

"So you're saying that no kid should ever try this without adult supervision?" Henry questioned

"Exactly."

"So, you having a good time?" Charlotte asked

"Because, you know, this isn't exactly the weekend we planned." I said

"Are you guys kidding me? This is amazing. You guys taught me how to ride and crash a bike."

I smiled at my dad.

"You showed me what riding a Flume is like. We're camping."

"Yeah. And I bet we helped you forget that you never had a normal childhood." Henry said which made me smack the back of his head.

"Yeah. Until you said that." my dad's smile faded

The lights started dimming.

"Uh-oh."

"What's with the lights?" Charlotte asked

"The generators must be giving out." my dad stated "There might be a flashlight in that cabinet over there."

"I'll check." Henry stood up and went over to the cabinet "Hey, what's this?"

"What do you got there?" my dad stood up

"A clock with wires coming out of it."

"Let me see that." he walked up to Henry before Charlotte and I followed

"There's something written on the back." Charlotte pointed out

"This is Schwoz's handwriting." I realized "Lockdown timer. Do not touch."

"Timer?" Henry asked, turning to my dad "You said the lockdown was forty-eight hours."

"And that nothing could change that." Charlotte said

"Yeah, but if this clock is the timer for the lockdown.."

"Try moving the hands forward!" I suggested

My dad moved the hands forward and some of the equipment turned on.

We all squealed in excitement as Henry brought me into a tight hug.

I pressed a button on the elevator and the doors opened "The elevator works!"

"So does my sprocket!"

"Bye! Up the tube!" Charlotte got shot up

We checked the CCTV cameras of Jasper and Piper.

"I've never, ever been this hungry.." Jasper said

"Why are they still up there?" Henry asked "Can't they leave now since the lockdown is over?"

"Yeah, but I think they're delirious with hunger.." I furrowed my eyebrows

"Okay, how about this.." Piper began

"What?"

"If you let me eat your thumb, I'll let you eat my thumb." she offered

Jasper stared at his thumb for a moment "Deal."

"Dear God." my dad's eyes widened as I scrunched my nose in disgust

"They're gonna eat each other's thumbs." Henry said

"We better get up there." I pulled out my gum

"Let's blow and go." Henry smirked

"Oh yeah." we popped a gumball in our mouths

"Stop eating that thumb!" Captain Man demanded as we walked in Junk N' Stuff

Jasper stood up "It's Captain Man and Danger Girl.."

"And Kid Danger." Piper smiled

"Yes we are." Kid Danger agreed

Jasper and Piper looked at us weirdly which made me furrow my eyebrows.

They started licking their lips.

Oh.

"Why.. why are they looking at us like that?" Henry asked

"I-I don't know.." Captain Man answered

Jasper and Piper started slowly walking towards us.

"Why are they coming towards us?" Kid Danger asked

"I don't know, but they look hungry!"

"Run!" I yelled

We sprinted out the door as Jasper and Piper chased after us.
