The lavish apartment building towered in front of Jennie like a fortress. Her heart raced, torn between disbelief and worry as she stepped out of the car in a hurry.

The security guards stiffened upon recognizing her—Min Jennie, sister of the infamous, ruthless businessman Min Yoongi. None of them dared to question her, knowing too well that the consequences of angering the Min family could mean erasing their entire existence. Yoongi’s power extended far beyond money; he ruled with fear.

But Jennie didn’t care about the fearful eyes following her. Her steps were hurried, driven by questions she couldn’t shake.

What in the world had led Y/N—Cha Y/N—her cold, sociopathic best friend, to agree to marry her terrifying brother? The question gnawed at her mind as she impatiently tapped her foot in the elevator, watching the floors blink by.

Upstairs, Hoseok was leaning against the counter, arms crossed, staring in bewildered disbelief at the sight before him. Y/N sat on her plush couch, her face an unreadable mask of calm as she fed milk to here pet cobra.

The snake was coiled comfortably around her arm, its scales gleaming as it drank from the small bowl. Y/N’s serene smile was unsettling, especially in contrast to the deadly reptile in her care.

“Seriously, Y/N, you’re fucking crazy,” Hoseok muttered, shaking his head in irritation, his voice tinged with disbelief. His gaze flickered to the cobra. “I mean, who the hell keeps snakes as pets? They’re creepy and disgusting.” His face scrunched up in disgust, and he took a step back, not hiding his fear of the creature.

Y/N paused, turning her cold gaze toward him, her eyes sharp and calculating. “Nothing is more disgusting or creepier than humans, Jung Hoseok.” Her voice was like ice, carrying a weight of experience and disdain that silenced him immediately. She glanced down at the snake again, her fingers softly caressing its head, and added with a bitter smile, “At least snakes don’t wear masks. They are what they are—venomous, yes, but not liars. Humans, on the other hand… beautiful faces, but toxic, deceitful souls.”

There was something deeper in her words, something dark and painful. Hoseok could feel it, but he didn’t dare probe further. The air between them was thick with unspoken tension when the apartment bell rang, breaking the silence.

Hoseok opened the door and froze. Standing before him was Jennie, her usual composed self looking disheveled and restless. As their eyes locked, the world around them seemed to fade. Hoseok’s heartbeat quickened, and he couldn’t tear his gaze away from Jennie’s intense eyes.

The silence stretched on as they stood, staring at each other, trapped in a moment that neither of them understood.

The silence was broken by Y/N’s cold, almost mocking voice from the other side of the room. “Done staring at each other's souls?”

Hoseok blinked, and Jennie snapped out of her daze, embarrassment creeping up on both of them. Jennie quickly moved past him, her face flushed, her gaze locking onto Y/N, but she faltered when she noticed the cobra coiled around her friend’s arm.

Jennie’s eyes widened in fear as she swallowed hard. It was one thing to know Y/N was dangerous, but seeing her with a literal snake only reinforced how unpredictable she truly was.

“What brings you here, Min Jennie?” Y/N asked coolly, her eyes never leaving the snake as she gently placed it back into its cage.

Jennie’s jaw clenched, her emotions barely in check. “Don’t act like you don’t know, Y/N,” she snapped, the frustration bubbling over. “Why the hell are you getting married to my brother? How did you even make him agree? And when the fuck did this happen?”

The flood of questions hung in the air, but Y/N remained unbothered, her expression unchanged. Instead, it was Hoseok who reacted with a loud, shocked exclamation.

“WHAT?” Hoseok launched himself toward Y/N, confusion and betrayal written all over his face, but before he could get close, the cobra raised its head, hissing in warning. He froze, fear stopping him in his tracks as Y/N gently patted the snake, her eyes never leaving his.

“You agreed to marry Jungkook?” Hoseok stammered, his face pale.

Jennie gave him a strange look. “Jungkook? My brother would be traumatized in an hour with her.”

" Then who? "

Hoseok’s confusion deepened, and Jennie crossed her arms, looking exasperated. “How many dozen brothers do I have, Hoseok?”

It clicked in his mind, and his face went pale. “You mean… Yoongi?”

Jennie nodded grimly. “Yes, Yoongi.”

“No way,” Hoseok muttered, turning to Y/N with disbelief. “Y/N, say something. Why are you quiet?”

Y/N’s gaze was sharp as she watched them with amusement. “When you both stop talking over each other, maybe I’ll say something.”

Hoseok and Jennie exchanged embarrassed glances before Y/N continued, now focusing on Jennie. “Why am I getting married is beyond your understanding, Jennie. And second, I’m not the one who proposed this marriage. Your brother did.”

Jennie’s face twisted in confusion and disbelief. “What?!” Her voice was a mix of shock and denial, but the moment Y/N’s icy glare landed on her, Jennie’s words died in her throat.

“And third,” Y/N’s voice darkened with frustration, “this happened when your so-called brother spread the news of our engagement to the media without even telling me.” Her irritation was palpable, the anger simmering under the surface of her composed exterior.

Hoseok, still processing the situation, asked in confusion, “Wait, so the whole world already knows about this before you’re even engaged?”

Y/N shot him a look that could freeze fire like she is indicating 'Do I seem like the kind of person who likes to repeat herself?'

Hoseok sighed heavily. “Oh God…”

Jennie, on the other hand, was struggling to comprehend. Why would Yoongi propose to Y/N, of all people? She wasn’t against the idea of them being together, but she couldn’t shake the feeling of dread.

Both Yoongi and Y/N were unpredictable, dangerous, and she feared what might happen if they were bound together in something as fragile as marriage.

“It doesn’t make sense,” Jennie whispered, more to herself than anyone else. “Why would Yoongi oppa even want to marry you?”

Y/N’s cold smirk returned. She rubbed the snake’s scales one last time before closing the cage and turning her full attention to Jennie. “You’ll get your answer soon enough, Jennie. But trust me… this isn’t about love.”

Jennie’s heart sank, knowing that nothing good would come out of this union. “You’re a sociopath, Y/N. You can’t even feel anything. How do you expect this to work?”

Y/N’s smile turned dangerous, her eyes gleaming as she leaned forward, her voice dropping to a venomous whisper. “And your brother, Min Yoongi, is no different, Jennie. He’s incapable of feeling anything except for control and power. So tell me… do you really think either of us is looking for anything other than destruction?”

Jennie looked away, her mind spinning with fear and uncertainty. Hoseok remained silent, too afraid to provoke Y/N any further. The room felt like it was on the edge of a dangerous storm, and neither Jennie nor Hoseok knew what would happen next.

Y/N stood up, her presence commanding as she walked toward the large window, gazing out at the city below. “You want to know why I agreed to be your family’s lawyer?” she asked, her voice cold and detached. “You’ll find out soon enough. But let’s just say… it’s all part of the game.”

A chilling silence filled the room as Y/N’s words lingered in the air, leaving Jennie and Hoseok with more questions than answers.

_____________

In the grand and opulent living room of the Kim household, the four brothers—Taehyung, Jin, Namjoon, and Jimin—sat in deep concern, their minds heavy with the current state of affairs. The atmosphere was thick with tension, their family’s situation weighing on them. Suddenly, their attention was drawn to the TV, which began broadcasting breaking news that they hadn’t anticipated. The screen showed a headline that sent shockwaves through their minds: Min Yoongi and Cha Y/N's Engagement.

The footage of the power couple played on the screen, and disbelief washed over them like a cold wave. They couldn’t wrap their heads around how Yoongi, of all people, had decided to marry so suddenly. And the shock doubled when they learned who he was marrying—Cha Y/N. Of all women, it had to be her, the most dangerous, shrewd lawyer in the city. It felt like the union of two dark forces. Jin, Taehyung, and Jimin exchanged uneasy glances, their faces etched with concern.

Jimin was the first to speak, his voice laced with suspicion. “How the hell did this happen? He was obsessed with Yumi just weeks ago! Now, all of a sudden, he’s engaged to Y/N? This smells like a trap.”

Jin, trying to maintain a level head, sighed and said, “Maybe his feelings changed, Jimin. You know Yoongi... he doesn’t chase after things. If he’s marrying Y/N, it must be for a reason we don’t understand yet.”

Jimin frowned deeply, his mind still racing. “You really believe that? Something about this feels off. Yoongi doesn’t make decisions like this out of nowhere. Y/N… she’s not someone he would just fall for. I can sense it—there’s more going on here.”

Taehyung, who had been quiet till now, leaned back and crossed his arms. “They’re both calculated. It could be some sort of alliance for power. If anyone could match Yoongi’s intensity, it’s Y/N. But what worries me is... if they’re on the same side now, then everyone else is in serious danger.”

Jimin’s face darkened further as Taehyung spoke. His suspicions were multiplying, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that something catastrophic was brewing.

Jin, noticing Jimin’s distress, patted him on the shoulder and said, “Let’s not jump to conclusions. Maybe this is just... something temporary. Yoongi doesn’t get emotionally attached that easily. Yumi may still be in the picture.”

Jimin gave a brief nod, though his heart wasn’t in it. He couldn’t help but replay the events in his mind, trying to figure out how Yoongi could have possibly moved on from Yumi so quickly. The three brothers exchanged glances before silently leaving the room, lost in their thoughts.

None of them noticed Namjoon, who remained seated, his gaze fixed on the screen. Unlike the others, Namjoon’s expression wasn’t of worry but of rage. His face was flushed red with fury, his mind consumed by the bitter betrayal he felt.

The moment he had seen the news, something inside him snapped.

Her. Y/N.

The girl he had been desperately searching for—now engaged to his enemy. It was like venom in his veins. There was no greater insult to him. His jaw clenched tightly, and his knuckles turned white as he gripped the armrest.

“This can’t be happening,” Namjoon muttered under his breath, his voice low and dangerous. “She was supposed to be mine. No matter what, I’ll make sure she’s mine... even if it’s the last thing I do.”

The ominous vow settled in the room like a storm cloud. His obsession with Y/N had reached dangerous heights, and little did he realize that this obsession would only lead him to his own ruin.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the mansion, Yumi sat in disbelief as the news of Yoongi’s engagement replayed over and over in her mind. Her heart raced, her hands trembling as she clutched her phone, staring at the image of Yoongi and Y/N on the screen.

Her chest tightened, a sense of betrayal and confusion sinking deep into her bones.

“How could he do this to me?” she whispered to herself, her voice cracking with emotion. “He was just with me... he loved me... right? He’s not the type to just... move on like this. There must be some mistake.”

She tried to reassure herself, her thoughts spiraling out of control. Every part of her wanted to believe that this engagement was a mistake, that it was some kind of forced arrangement.

Her mind clung to the idea that Yoongi’s parents or some external force must have coerced him into this decision. But deep down, she feared the truth—that Yoongi had chosen Y/N of his own free will.

Her eyes burned with unshed tears as she tried to make sense of the situation. “Does he not love me anymore? Was I nothing to him?” she murmured, her voice breaking. Yumi tried to push those thoughts away, convincing herself that Yoongi was still hers.

“This can’t be the end,” she whispered, her voice filled with desperation. “I won’t let it be.”

But what she didn’t realize was that this moment marked the beginning of her downfall. The storm that was brewing between Yoongi and Y/N was only the start, and Yumi’s fate was about to take a dark and irreversible turn.

Back in the Namjoon, the air was still thick with tension. Namjoon sat alone in the now-empty living room, his mind fixated on the image of Y/N. His anger burned hotter with every passing second.

He couldn’t stand the thought of her being with someone else—least of all Yoongi. His lips curled into a dangerous smirk as he thought of his next move.

“If Yoongi thinks he can have her... he’s dead wrong,” Namjoon muttered to himself, his voice dripping with malice. “Y/N will be mine... no matter what it takes.”

And with that, Namjoon’s dangerous obsession was set into motion, unaware that his pursuit of Y/N would lead him down a path of destruction that could never be undone.

____________

Yoongi sat in his lavish office, a spacious room filled with sleek black furniture, modern decor, and the subtle scent of expensive cologne lingering in the air.

His chair, made of the finest leather, creaked softly as he leaned back, staring at the city skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The office was as cold and imposing as its occupant, and the atmosphere inside was as quiet as Yoongi's unreadable expression.

His hands rested on the polished mahogany desk, his long fingers tapping a steady, slow rhythm, a habit he indulged in when deep in thought.

Just yesterday, Y/N had been sitting across from him, her presence powerful and commanding. Her words had lingered in the air, though Yoongi didn’t show it then, and now, as he thought back, a ghost of a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

He couldn’t deny that she intrigued him, and the entire country was in uproar over the news of their engagement.

Cha Y/N and Min Yoongi—two devils getting married. The headlines blared everywhere. It had shaken South Korea to its core, leaving people whispering in shock. It was a marriage no one saw coming—two of the most feared and ruthless individuals coming together. The chaos it caused brought Yoongi a twisted sense of satisfaction. He thrived in havoc. In fact, he created it.

His smirk deepened.' Let them talk.' He thought.

The atmosphere back at his house must have been electric. His mother, Maria, must be basking in this news. She had been lobbying for his marriage for years, and now, she finally had what she wanted.

'But why is she so obsessed with it? 'Yoongi wondered for the umpteenth time. It was something he could never understand. His mother had this insatiable need to secure his future, and apparently, Y/N was the perfect fit for that vision.

Y/N... Her name echoed in his mind as he thought of how well she fit the image of the future mistress of the Min family. Cruel, calculating, and savage. That was Y/N, and in Maria’s eyes, there could be no better wife for him. Yoongi’s smirk returned, knowing his mother would probably be planning an extravagant engagement party at this very moment.

His father, though quieter than his mother, was also pleased. Yoongi could tell that, even without his father saying much. The way his father had looked at Y/N during their last encounter spoke volumes. He approved, just like Maria. In a way, it was satisfying to see his mother’s happiness.

After all, Maria had always been a powerful figure in his life, shaping him into the cold, dominant man he was today. And Y/N—well, she would follow in her footsteps as the new mistress of the Min household.

But not everyone in the family felt the same. Yoongi could almost laugh thinking about his younger brother, Jungkook, and his reaction to the news.

Jungkook had been stunned when he heard it, his face paling. He couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that his elder brother—the feared and tyrannical Min Yoongi—was getting married. And to someone like Y/N, no less.

Jungkook’s nerves were evident, and Yoongi knew that his little brother would have trouble adjusting to Y/N’s presence in the house.' He should get used to it', Yoongi thought coldly. 'She’ll be here for a long time.'

And then there was Jennie, his little sister. Jennie had always been a sharp one, but even she seemed confused and shocked by the sudden engagement. It wasn’t that Yoongi cared for their opinions. He didn’t. But their reactions amused him, in a twisted way. This whole situation was turning out more interesting than he had expected.

Yoongi was lost in these thoughts when his phone rang, snapping him out of his reverie. He glanced at the screen, and without a word, picked it up, pressing it to his ear.

“Yes?” His voice was cold, as always.

The voice on the other end began speaking rapidly, informing him of something urgent. As the words sank in, Yoongi’s expression shifted.

The air in the room seemed to grow colder, his demeanor darkening with each passing second. His grip on the phone tightened, his knuckles turning white, and the once calm tapping of his fingers stopped altogether.

His jaw clenched, and his eyes, once indifferent, now blazed with fury. The muscles in his neck tensed, and his usually composed face twisted into something terrifying. His lips pressed together in a thin line, his nostrils flaring ever so slightly as he listened to the caller’s words.

“The Kims have filed a case against me?” Yoongi’s voice was dangerously low, like a predator before it strikes. The calmness in his tone made it even more unsettling.

“Yes, sir,” the voice on the other end confirmed, clearly nervous.

Yoongi’s eyes darkened, and the smirk that tugged at his lips earlier now twisted into something far more sinister. “Not only a case,” the voice continued, “but they’ve taken it up with the higher authorities. They’re accusing you of stealing personal information from their family.”

The moment those words left the speaker’s mouth, Yoongi’s entire aura shifted. He leaned back in his chair, his expression now a mask of pure, calculated rage. His grip on the phone was so tight, it looked as if he might crush it.

“How foolish of them…” Yoongi chuckled darkly, his eyes narrowing. His voice, although quiet, was filled with venom. “They made a very wrong move.”

The chuckle grew louder, more menacing, echoing through the otherwise silent room. Yoongi’s mind raced. He understood now why Y/N had suggested changing the family lawyer so suddenly.

She had anticipated this. She had big plans, Yoongi thought, and now he could see the web of manipulation she was weaving with the Kims.

'Ah, Y/N... what a dangerous woman you are.' He couldn’t help but admire her for it. She had anticipated the Kims’ retaliation before even he had, and that was no easy feat.

But Yoongi wasn’t a fool. He could crush this case with a snap of his fingers if he wanted to, burying it so deep that no one would even remember it existed. He had the power to wipe it from existence without anyone knowing.

But that wasn’t what he wanted.

No, Yoongi wanted to see what Y/N was planning. What game she was playing with the Kims. And more importantly, he wanted to see how far she was willing to go to destroy them.

“She’s ruthless,” Yoongi muttered to himself, a small smile forming on his lips once again. “Just like me.”

His eyes gleamed with something dark and dangerous. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his desk as he steepled his fingers together. The image of Y/N’s calculating smirk played in his mind.

“Let’s see what you’re up to, my dear Y/N,” he whispered, his voice low and full of anticipation. “I wonder... what dangerous game are you playing with the Kims?”

The room seemed to grow darker around him as Yoongi’s plans began to take shape in his mind. He wasn’t going to interfere. Not yet. He wanted to see Y/N in action.

He wanted to see how far she was willing to go—and then, when the time was right, he would step in.

Let the Kims think they have a chance, Yoongi thought coldly. They’ll never see it coming when I tear them apart.
