Your Apartment

With the help of your parents (and you and Ciara's hard work), you and Ciara finally got the opportunity to move into your own apartment last week. Today, you two officially finished setting everything up. This means putting up all the furniture and finishing setting up/decorating the rooms. Ciara was your best friend since you were seven so this has been a life goal finally accomplished. Another life goal accomplished between you two was going to the same college. You two start your second year of college next Tuesday. It would be a new experience since this is a new college than last year. What was even better was that your entire friend group got into the college as well so you guys get to spend the rest of your college days together.

Anyways, in about an hour, you, Ciara and Marcus were about to meet Eren's friend group. Marcus was your best friend that you met in your freshman year of high school, that you eventually ended up dating until your senior year. After that you guys decided to remain friends. Secretly, you knew the reason you broke up with Marcus was because you knew that your relationship was just to make Eren jealous. You didn't have much feelings for Marcus; at least not at much Marcus liked you. Ultimately it didn't end up working because at the same time, Eren also ended up in a relationship with Mikasa but they broke up earlier (in their junior year) because Mikasa realized she was lesbian.

Eren was another childhood best friend except you met him when you were twelve. You've had a crush on him for the longest time. You didn't want to say anything  because you didn't want to ruin the friendship. Also it was obvious that Eren didn't like you romantically so you didn't even want to give it a chance. Plus, Eren currently has a girlfriend. He met her in his first year of college. Her name is Hailey and you've never met her before. Today will be a first.

"So how do you feel Y/n?" Ciara asked as you two sat next to each other on your couch.

"I'm fine. Why do you ask?" You ask.

"Well today you're going to meet most of Eren's friend group and his girlfriend" Ciara responded.

"Well I already know Mikasa and Armin" You said. You talked to Armin a few times in high school but you don't know him all that well.

"There's four more." Ciara said.

"Well how do you feel Ciara? This is the first time you'll be seeing Armin in like a couple months." You teased. The mention of Armin's name made Ciara "blush". You knew Ciara has a crush on him  but Ciara claimed she 'got over that nigga a long time ago'.

"I feel fine Y/n. I wonder how you feel about seeing Eren." Ciara teased. You also "blushed" at the mention of Eren. Ciara was the only one who knew about your crush on Eren. You decided to keep it that way.

"Well I'm fine. I don't know how to feel about seeing his new bitch though." You replied. You knew that Eren was a ladies man. Ever since his senior year, he was known to sleep around. This is why you were shocked to know that Eren finally has a girl friend. They've been dating for four months.

"Calm down Y/n, she could be a good person and we wouldn't even know it." Ciara said.

"You're probably right. Eren hasn't been with a girl this long since Mikasa. I bet she's treating him right." You sighed. You'd never admit it but you were jealous. You'd do anything to be in Hailey's place.

Forty Five Minutes Later

You and Ciara were currently on your way to pick up Marcus so you can go to the park to meet up with Eren and his friends. Marcus lived in his own apartment. Your brother (his best friend), used to live in the empty room next to his before he move out to live with his girlfriend. You and Ciara walked out the car, and walked towards Marcus' apartment room.

Five Minutes Later

"Hey guys, come in, I'm almost done." Marcus said doing his hair.

"Nigga we gon be late. Hurry up!" Ciara said to Marcus. Ciara and Marcus were always known to have a sibling relationship even though they are no way related.

"Alright, alright. I'm almost done." Marcus said rolling his eyes in a playful way.

"We still got ten minutes and the park just so happens to only be a block away from here. Just to save gas we'll be walking there from here." You said.

"We're walking? Girl I don't have walking shoes on." Ciara whined.

"I can tell, your disgusting toes are out." Marcus said. Marcus said glancing at her feet. Ciara was only wearing white sandals.

"I don't want to hear you talking about toes with your ugly floor grippers out." Ciara said glancing at Marcus's bare feet. "And shouldn't you be doing your hair? We got places to be nigga." Ciara said. Marcus huffed and walked to the bathroom to finish doing his hair. You and Ciara sat on his couch to wait.

"I bet you that nigga didn't even start getting ready until ten minutes ago." Ciara said while looking at her new acrylic nails. You laughed at her statement.

"I can still hear you!" Marcus yelled all the way from the bathroom. You and Ciara giggled.

Five Minutes Later

Marcus walked out the bathroom with his hair finished.

"Okay I'm ready." Marcus said.

"Finally." Ciara said with a dramatic eye roll.

"Nigga it's only been five minutes." Marcus said.

"And? We could've been gone by now." Ciara said.

"Okay." Marcus quietly surrendered. The three of you started walked out the apartment and towards to park. "You know, you look good Y/n."

"Don't I always?" You said jokingly.

"Of course." Marcus softly laughed.

"I see the KKK ya'll." Ciara said putting her hand above her eyebrows 'looking in the distance'. As you look ahead of you, you saw Eren's friend group laughing with each other.

"The what?" Marcus said.

"She sees Eren and his friends." You replied.

"Why do you call them the KKK?" Marcus asks.

"I don't, Ciara does." You said with a giggle.

"Well it's a group of white people." Ciara said. Needless to say, Ciara didn't spend a lot of time with white people growing up until high school. Even then, Ciara would avoid them at most times. Ciara often refers to Eren as "white boy".

"Not all groups of white people are racist Ciara." Marcus said. Another reason Ciara had a 'grudge' against white people was because she got bullied by a group of white girls who called her the n word and called her a monkey. Ciara ended up fighting every single one of them and as a result she got suspended for three days. For those three days, you'd go to her house after school to comfort her.  

"Mhm." Ciara said with attitude. "We don't know them yet."

"We already know like three of them already."  You said.

"Isn't one of them asian?" Marcus asked.

"Yup, that's Mikasa. There's also a hispanic one." You said.

"Really? Who?" Ciara said. "I thought all but Mikasa were white people."

"Hailey is hispanic." You replied.

"Who's Hailey?" Marcus asked.

"Eren's current girl friend." You replied.

"How'd you know she's Hispanic?" Marcus teased. Ciara giggled. Secretly, you did your research. As soon as Eren started talking about her, you looked her up on Instagram. You knew exactly what she looked like. You also knew a little bit about her life too.

"It seems like someone else is paranoid about Eren's friend group too." Marcus nudged you with a smile.

"I'm not." You said somewhat confidently. It felt like you were trying to impress Eren your whole life so you didn't want to look like a fool in front of his friends.

"Then why'd you do your research on Hailey?" Marcus teased.

"I didn't. Eren told me a lot about her. That's why." You tried convincing. Marcus and Ciara giggled. The truth is, Eren did tell you a lot about her but you know more than he thinks you do. As you guys were walking, you guys approached Eren's group.

"Hi Eren." You greeted. You two hugged for a little bit but then you saw Hailey staring directly into your eyes so you let go.

"Hey Y/n." Eren smiled.

"You not gonna say hi to me white boy?" Ciara asked.

"Hi Ciara." Eren chuckled.

"What's good Eren?" Marcus said with a smile.

"How you doing Marcus?" Eren smiled back. Marcus dapped Eren up.

"I'm good, what about you?" Marcus asked.

"I'm good. But let me introduce you guys to my friends real quick." Eren said. You looked at the four new people you've never seen before. One was about 6"3 and had a  grey mullet. He had a small beard and mustache and was standing in front of Eren. The one on his left had a grey buzzcut and was about 5"9. On the other side of "mullet guy" was a girl with medium size brown hair and was about 5"6. She was holding a bag of popcorn. Next to Eren was who you assumed to be Hailey Gomez. Like Eren explained, she was hispanic and about 5"6. She had dark brown hair. She was currently clinging onto Eren's arm. That's how you knew that it was Hailey. On the other side of Eren were people you recognized as Armin and Mikasa.

"You guys already know Armin and Mikasa but these are Jean, Connie, Sasha and Hailey. Hailey is my girlfriend. Guys these are Y/n, Ciara and Marcus." Eren says.

"Hey Y/n, I like your hair." Mikasa smiled. Mikasa noticed how every time she sees you (which isn't often), you have a different hairstyle. Mikasa has always admired it.

"Thanks Mikasa." You smiled back.

"You guys want some popcorn?" Sasha offered. She held her popcorn out for you guys to take some. You saw how greasy her fingers were (from the butter in the popcorn) and you didn't want to take your chances.

"Sasha!" Jean said.

"What?" Sasha said with a mouthful of popcorn in her mouth. "You guys want some?" She averted her attention back to you three.

"I'm alright. Thank you though." You gave a half smile.

"Yeah I'm good too." Marcus couldn't even fake a smile.

"Fuck ya'll, I'm starving." Ciara said as she grabbed a small handful of popcorn from Sasha'a bag.  Sasha and Ciara smiled at each other. It was at that moment when you realized that you found someone who's just as messy with food as Ciara.

After a few minutes of the eight of ya'll talking, you guys started to split up in groups and walk around the park. You saw Armin and Ciara walking together. Eren, Armin, Jean and Marcus were walking together as Hailey was tailing behind. Connie and Sasha were walking together. That left you and Mikasa to walk around together.

"So how've you been Mikasa?" You asked.

"I'm good. What about you?" Mikasa asked.

"I'm good too." You said. You couldn't help but notice Hailey looking left out while hanging with the guys. You were told that you have a talent for reading people so you tried to read Hailey. Hailey looked like she was trying to fit in but was failing miserably. She was also the least talkative out of the five of them. Out of goodwill, you wanted to talk to her. This would also be a good opportunity to know more about her.

"That's good. So I heard you and Ciara finally moved into your own apartment." Mikasa teased.

"Yes we diddd." You said with a smile.

"Well that's good. Me and Sasha live together so if you guys ever need a change of scenery, you know where to go." Mikasa winked.

"Thank you Mikasa. But I actually have a question for you." You said.

"What is it?" Mikasa asked. You were about to ask Mikasa about Hailey but then someone came up to you with a smile.

"Hey Mikasa, is it okay if I take Y/n away from you for a little bit?" Connie asked.

"Yeah, sure." Mikasa winked at you before walking away to walk with Sasha.

"So you're the famous Y/n Eren keeps telling me about?" Connie said with a smile. The two of you began to walk.

"Eren talks about me?" You asked. Your heart started to beat a little bit faster. You found yourself getting flattered by the fact that Eren talks about you to his friends.

"Yeah of course. Arguably more than he talks about his own girlfriend." Connie said.

"Really?" You asked.

More than his own girlfriend?

"Yeah. I saw a picture of you on instagram and thought that you were the most prettiest girl I've ever seen." Connie said with a smile.

"Aww really? Thank you." You said flattered. With a better look at Connie you took in the fact that  he was quite handsome.

"Of course ma. How about you and me get out of here and go somewhere else?" Connie asked.

"Where would we go?" You asked. Since your car is still at Marcus's apartment, you'd have to go in a car with Connie assuming you'd be going farther than walking distance.

"I know a spot." Connie said.

"Where is this spot?" You asked.

"It's about a ten minute drive. We can come back if you want but I don't know how long we'd be there." Connie said. This confirmed it. If you went with him, you'd be going in a car with Connie alone. You hardly knew him so he is still be considered a stranger. Do you feel comfortable with this?

Fuck it, you only live once. And plus I have pepper spray in my bag in case he feels the need to try anything.

Connie saw you in your thoughts so he decided to cut the silence. "So you wanna go or not?"

"Yeah, let's go." You replied. Connie smiled and took your hand. You two began to walk towards his car.

Maybe this is your chance to get over Eren.
