"I do not care how long it takes, I want my soulmate found and brought to me!" A deep voice growled in anger, he was facing away looking at three people standing fearfully in front of him. "We've tried but there is a block on them," One of the people replied in a shaky tone, their head lowered. "You're working against me," The man accused as he rushed forward and slammed the middle man against the door, "I want her found now!" The man nodded shakily before he was released, the three took off out of the room leaving the man to his lonesome. "If you scare them all away, they will be useless to you, Niklaus," An elegant tone filled the space.
"Elijah, I have been expecting you," Niklaus replied as he turned to his brother, the two were silent as Elijah took in his brother's appearance. Niklaus was clearly dishevelled and if he were human, he would surely be lying in a hospital bed clinging to life. "I wish to help you, Niklaus but I have had no luck in finding the one bound to you." Niklaus growled under his breath before he turned away, coughing for a moment before scoffing over the fact he was experiencing such mortal illness. "And this sickness, brother?" Niklaus asked, it had struck him so randomly that he feared his enemies using it against him.
"I found someone who could give you an answer for that," Elijah replied before turning to the door, the brothers watched as a woman walked into the room with her head held high. "A pleasure to meet you, Niklaus Mikaelson. I am Lillian Lahote," The tanned woman spoke, her doe eyes focused on the man before her. "I care not for your formalities, why am I sick?" Niklaus growled as the woman walked towards him, she raised a brow. "The one bound to you is ill," Lillian told him. "So she's human?" Elijah asked concerned, if Niklaus' soulmate was human then he had a major weakness that could be used against him.
"No. She's a Starlight who hasn't accepted her true potential yet as her soulmate is more focused on his own needs then hers," Lillian snarked. "Do not disrespect me!" Niklaus warned as he stepped forward only for a rack of coughs to overcome his body. "It's not only you, your lordship," Lillian mocked before chanting a spell that took the ill feeling away from Niklaus. "Why help me?" Niklaus asked with narrowed eyes. "I'm not helping you, I'm helping the Starlight. Favours with powerful deities are more than useful for a witch like me," Lillian told him. "And what did you mean it's not only him?" Elijah asked intrigued.
"The Starlight has two souls bound to her, one is prophesied as a wolf which is obviously tethered to you but the other is a bat," Lillian told him. "A vampire? You're telling me that my soulmate is bonded with another?" Niklaus asked seething, he wouldn't share with some lowlife vampire who wouldn't worship her the way she deserved. "According to the ancestors, the prophecy changed because of you," Lillian told Niklaus who stared back at her with furrowed brows, Elijah stood by watching with his own confusion. "How?" Niklaus asked her. "A vampire you met in the twenties," Lillian said causing a smile to appear on Niklaus' face.
"Now, that's an old friend I can work with," Niklaus replied, his angered demeanour changing. "She's in the same place as him but he..." Lillian trailed off as the whispers of ancestors echoed through the room. "But what?" Niklaus asked. "I'm sorry, the ancestors aren't allowing me to speak further, a demand from the direct bloodline of the Starlight," Lillian told him before bowing her head and turning to walk out of the room. "But I can say this... the second soul has not accepted her due to another curse that's leaving him confused and conflicted," Lillian said before leaving the room completely.
"Continue the search," Niklaus spoke as he turned to the canvas behind him, the abstract art was slowly becoming a face as each day passed by. "Of course," Elijah replied before he left the room. Niklaus picked up the paintbrush and continued letting his hand do the work. To others, Niklaus' desire to find his soulmate seemed like he wanted to simply rid his enemies of a weapon against him but truthfully, Niklaus only wanted his soulmate by his side and safe. From the moment he had learned about the one bound to him, he knew he found someone worthy of his love and no one would stop him from worshipping her as the Queen she is.

Meanwhile elsewhere on an island where a stone coffin lays, a person approaches and pushes the large heavy slab from the stone coffin glancing inside at the preserved body and the small red vial in their grasp. "Oh, to make good on my promise, old friend," The person spoke before grabbing the cure for immortality into their hand, "A deal is a deal." A soft chant began through the cave, it grew stronger as a new presence appeared opposite to the person. "Don't do this!" The echo of Qetsiyah's voice pleaded but the chant continued and continued to grow as the body within the tomb seemed to returned to its natural state.
"He is mine!" Qetsiyah screamed as a wave of power blasted through the cave however, a walk of black mist blocked it and sent it back just as the body in the coffin set ablaze freeing the spirit. The cave fell silent as the magic faded, the blue fire burned to nothing leaving behind the ash of the body left to rest. Replacing the stone slab on the coffin, the person stepped back and looked at the red vial in their grasp. "Rest with Amara, Silas," The person spoke before smirking, "Now to break this other spell and then Esther, I'm coming for you." The person turned and left the cave, as they did so, a wave of magic was sent through the world that changed fates design.

In Mystic Falls, everyone had quickly learned about Cordelia being unwell which was a rare sight considering the girl was never usually sick. And after a visit to the doctor, they had done a blood test and such only to determine that she's simply suffering with a bad case of influenza. So with the knowledge of what was making her so unwell, Cordelia was forced into bedrest and relaxing despite the chaos that was unfolding outside the Forbes' home. But at least it gave Cordelia a chance to actually sit down and write in her diary, something she hasn't had the chance to do in such a long, long time.
Of course, she began with everything that had happened between her and Stefan along with the conversation she had with Katherine. Adding to that, she wrote about how Jeremy and Tyler knew all about their supernatural world purely due to their connections to the blonde. She wrote about Caroline's new life as a vampire and how well she had been adapting to the lifestyle ─ And how good it suited her. Cordelia wrote about the death of Chelsea Porter who had used her magic to trap Cordelia in a coma along with the information that Angela Watson was working with Katherine after being turned into a Vampire.
The younger Forbes wrote about Samuel Winters and his crush on Caroline who seems to be focused on Matt Donovan; someone that Cordelia believed didn't deserve the older Forbes' heart. And she added the limited information she had about Omari Odeon who had disappeared after Cordelia fell into a coma. It was Scott Martin's return that concerned her, while he had been a good friend to everyone when they were younger and his father was seeing Matt's mother, something happened to him and he was sent away; his father had cut him out completely so Cordelia was a little paranoid ─ perhaps that is purely connected to the Supernatural world.
By the time Cordelia was done writing, she had written all about her feelings for Stefan, the clear blooming romance forming between Damon and Elena, the happy life that Lexi was living with her boyfriend, and finally the dreams that the younger Forbes had been having about this Niklaus man who seems to entice her. The diary was practically full at this point and it really made Cordelia realise just how much had happened in the short few months since the Salvatore brothers showed up in town. Before she fell asleep that night, Jeremy had shown up with Tyler and the trio had watched movies until they passed out.

Stefan sat at his desk, his journal in one hand resting against his thigh while the other hand held a glass of bourbon. He and Elena had made the decision to end the relationship due to Katherine's taunting, the Gilbert girl was not willing to risk her family or friends just to stay with Stefan; And truth be told, Stefan wasn't sure his heart was in it anymore. His mind kept trailing back to Cordelia, she was becoming the main focus on his mind and he didn't hate it. Plus, his conversations with Katherine and then the encounter with Lexi had his mind swarming with questions trying to understand what he wanted and who.
Stefan finished his glass before closing his journal and putting it aside, he ran his fingers through his hair and made his way downstairs where Damon sat reading a book. "Look at this, both of us home for a change," Damon teased as he looked up at Stefan, he took notice of the tired look in his little brothers face. "You all right?" Damon asked as he picked up his own glass, holding it out for Stefan to refill. "I don't know," Stefan answered as he refilled his big brother's glass. "Want to talk about it?" Damon offered, he thought back to watching Cordelia and Caroline's sibling bond and truthfully, he wanted that with his little brother; Caroline encouraged him to make it happen.
"So you can torment me?" Stefan asked him with a mocking laugh. "I was more thinking so you can vent out your troubles over a drink and I do a little teasing like a big brother is supposed too," Damon replied earnestly, Stefan froze and looked back at his brother who held a genuine look of interest. Stefan thought about it for a moment before he sat down across from Damon and began unloading on him, pretending he was his journal. That night, the Salvatore brothers opened up to one another in a way that would strengthen them more than anything. A former bond that had been as rocky as a stormy shore seemed to settle and reforged the brotherhood they had back before 1864.

Rosemary Speaks. . .
Okay so... another poor quality filler-ish chapter but we went so long without the Mikaelsons that I thought I'd give you a small dose.
And... Silas is at rest. Someone else has the cure and Qetsiyah is pissed. Plus, Esther is their next target; who could it be?
It is "vampire diaries" so featured some diary work with some summaries of what has been going on along with mentioning ocs as a reminder to myself lmao
Plus... Damon and Stefan's bond is already healing. Their brotherhood is important to me and my story, you gotta love it.
Thoughts, Suggestions or Questions?
See you in the next chapter!
