Lore:

River was born to the Sterling family, an imp family from the Wrath Ring renowned for their mechanics workshop / warehouse / home called "The Sterling House". She had a brother named Lake around 3 to 4 years older than her. Growing up, her mother was strict but loving; her father loved flooding young River and Lake's mind with machinery and robotics, helping her develop a deep interest early on.

River and Lake were 16 and 17 respectively, preparing to inherit The Sterling House, when disaster struck. Lake had IED from a young age, but it slowly developed into DMDD, with more persistent and regular anger issues than IED. That night, he was severely drunk and caused a heated argument with his parents. His anger took over him and he burnt The Sterling House to the ground, leading to the death of both of their parents and himself.

River got blinded in her left eye and lost her left leg, but she survived. She forged herself a prosthetic leg and started seeking for a job. She eventually travelled all the way to the pride ring (where Imp City is) and stumbled upon a weaponry workshot that appeared to be similar to The Sterling House... at first sight, at least.

The boss, whom River now worked for, was physically and emotionally abusive. He treated River as if she was merely a machine or a robot because of her disability, often overworking her. Alas, she couldn't leave, for a roof is a roof no matter how broken, and food is food no matter how rotten. So she turned her attention to creating more gadgets and machines, not for the boss, but for herself. Pretty soon, she was well-equipped from head to toe and more fearless than ever.

One day, after working for 2 years at the warehouse and now being 18, while collecting equipments from outside for her job, she came across the IMP advertisement banner and immediately rang, seeking a job. Blitzø, who was admittedly pretty desperate at that time, accepted.

At the present time, River is 22. She works at IMP, and is in charge of the weaponry "department". She's also an expert of planning. She is constantly annoyed by Blitz 24/7, and is closest to Loona and Octavia, who sometimes comes to visit along with Stolas.
