Time set: Attack Of The Clones

(Y/N) POV.

After a long time of hugging Anakin he finally composed himself and decided it's time to bury his mother. The others and I still decided to leave him some space to do what he wanted while we stayed back inside. I sat on a smaller wall and burried my head in my hands.

"Is everything alright, (Y/N)?" Padmé asked walking over to me.

"Hm?" I hummed as a reply, not listening at all. "I'm sorry, what did you say?"

"I asked if everythings okay?" She repeated observing me.

"Yes, of course. Why wouldn't it be." I smiled and hoped she wouldn't ask further.

Much to my dismay she sat down beside me and continued studying me.

"Something is troubling you." Padmé stated.

"I'm just a little tired, nothing serious." The lie left my mouth easily.

"You know you can tell me anything, right?"

I nodded with a tight smile and turned away from her. The things Jaster told me were still swarming in my head and would not leave me alone at all. I had to find out the truth as soon as I could. With help or by myself. Anakin suddenly appeared by the stairs and we all looked over to see him nod slightly.

We went after him and I saw two smaller headstones and a bigger one in the sand. One of them however seemed to be dug not so long ago. I sadly followed after them and stood in silence as Cliegg went over.

"I know wherever you are it's become a better place. You were the most loving partner a man could ever have. Goodbye, my dearest wife. And thank you." He said and floated back with his chair.

After a brief pause Anakin stepped forward and kneeled down onto the sand.

"I wasn't strong enough to save you, Mom. I wasn't strong enough. But I promise I won't fail again..." He whispered and stood up slowly. "I miss you so much."

He then came back to us and stood beside me grabbing my hand. The six of us along with C3PO, who now had a normal face thanks to Padmé, once again stayed silent. This was then interupted by R2 who came speeding out of the ship while beeping in a hurry.

"Artoo, what are you doing?" I asked furrowing my brows but my only answer was another set of whistles.

"It seems that he is carrying a message from an Obi-Wan Kenobi. Master Ani, does that name mean anything to you?" C3PO translated turning to Anakin.

"Obi-Wan!" He exclaimed and pulled me along with him to the ship with Padmé and C3PO following.

We rushed inside and Anakin immeadietly started pushing buttons on the control pannel and soon a blue hologram appeared. It was Obi-Wan and he seemed to be uneasy.

"Anakin, my long range transmitter has been knocked out. Retransmit this message to Coruscant." He said and I turned around in the chair to push the button to do exactly that. "I have tracked the bounty hunter Jango Fett to the droid foundries on Geonosis. The Trade Federation is to take taking delivery of a droid army here and it is clear that Viceroy Gunray is behind the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala."

Geonosis. I knew of that planet, I was once almost sent there for a mission but then at the last minute they asked someone else.

"The Commerce Guilds and Corporate Alliance have both pledged their armies to Count Dooku and are forming an...Wait!... Wait!" Obi-Wan yelled as he was suddenly attacked.

Then the hologram cut off. That was interesting. Anakin although jumped up in a hurry and started pacing around.

"This is not good. This is not good at all..." He muttered to himself.

"Hey! He'll be fine," I stopped him standing up infront of him. "I hope."

"Look, there's a message coming through!" Padmé called out and pushed a few buttons.

The cockpit was once again illuminated with a blue light as Mace Windu appeared. He nodded in a form of greeting as Anakin and I bowed.

"We will deal with Count Dooku. The most important thing for you, (Y/N), Anakin, is to stay where you are. Protect the Senator at all costs. That is your priority." He stated giving us a stern look.

"Understood, Master." I said and Anakin nodded in agreement.

With one last bow the message switched off and we were left confused. I was getting mixed feelings of the whole situation. A part of me wanted to stay and do as told but the other half of me wanted nothing else than to go to Geonosis and break the rules. Looking over at Anakin he seemed to be thinking about the same thing. My thoughts were interupted by seeing Padmé looking through the readout.

"They'll never get there in time to save him. They have to come half way across the galaxy. Look, Geonosis is less than a parsec away." She told us pointing to the said planet.

She started to push some buttons and switches but I stopped her by putting a hand on her shoulder.

"If he's still alive." Anakin mumbled.

"Ani, are you just going to sit here and let him die? He's your friend...your mentor..." Padmé tried to reason then turned to face me. "He's your friend aswell, (Y/N)."

"He's like my father, but you heard Master Windu. He gave us strict orders to stay here." He replied looking at the ground.

"He gave you two strict orders to protect me..." She continued fireing up the engine in the process. "And I'm going to save Obi-Wan. So if you plan to protect me, you will have to come along."

I looked at her dumbfounded and looked over to Anakin who just grinned and sat down at the control pannel. Padmé stood up and motioned to the chair which I took and helped Anakin with flying the ship. After locking it onto it's course I leaned back turning to face Padmé.

"When did you become so sneaky?" I chuckled.

"Ever since I met you." She smiled innocently and shrugged.

It's been about an hour and I was bored out of my mind. I was sitting on the floor while throwing the same ball away and caught it once it bounced back. Padmé was drifting in and out of sleep while Anakin sat beside me zoning out. I groaned in defeat and caught the ball one last time before sitting up properly.

"I'm bored." I grumbled and leaned against Anakin. "How much longer until we arrive?"

"I don't know, but not much longer I hope." He answered snaking an arm around my waist.

"Are you okay?" I asked looking up at him.

"Yeah, I just miss my Mom." Anakin said meeting my eyes with a small smile. "How did you deal with it? When you lost your parents..."

"I can't exactly remember because I was still young." I furrowed my eyebrows. "Although Master Yoda told me it was wild. I had a whole meltdown."

"I would've wanted to see that." He chuckled lightening the mood. "Tiny (N/N) throwing a tantrum."

"Oh, come on. I was only six, what else would I do. I didn't quite understand the meaning of death back then."

"Of course, sorry." Anakin replied.

There was a small silence but not an awkward one, a comfortable silence. It was so silent I could actually here Padmé's soft snores which made me stiffle a laugh.

"Now I know that the serious Senator of Naboo snores when she sleeps." I chuckled and Anakin let out a loud laugh.

Padmé's eyes opened and looked at us skeptically before looking outside the window. She stood up and took a closer look before turning back to us.

"I can see Geonosis!" She exclaimed.

Anakin got off from the ground and pulled me up with him. He sat down and so did I but I gave Padmé a playfull glare when I saw her wiggling her eyebrows at me.

I maneuvered the ship through the rings with Anakin and entered the atmosphere of the planet. There was not much to see, it was covered in rocks and it was a sandy colour. As we got closer to the ground I pointed out a spot where we could land. R2 and C3PO entered the cockpit aswell as soon as the ship stopped. Anakin switched off the engines and got up. Padmé quickly stood up and started to walk to the door.

"Hey, where are you going?" Anakin asked.

"To find Obi-Wan." She answered shortly.

"No! You're not!" He told her grabbing her arm to prevent her from going any further.

"Let go of me!" Padmé snapped pulling her arm away.

"Padmé, you can't go out there. It's too dangerous." I said trying to stop their bickering.

"What?"

"It's our job to protect you. As (Y/N) said it's too dangerous. You're not going, and that's final!" Anakin exclaimed in frustration throwing his hands in the air.

"Don't you give me orders, Ani! I'm a Senator of the Galactic Republic. You have no authority to contain me, restrain me, or direct me! You remember your place, young man. Now you two can come along and protect me or stay here. It's up to you." Padmé argued and stormed out of the ship.

I stayed silent in shock and Anakin seemed surprised aswell. He scratched the back of his neck and shrugged going after her.

"Hey, wait!" I called out then sighed in frustration. "Alright then, let's just go into the unknown like some confident little people and see how that ends."

I stomped after them in a hurry and heared R2 and C3PO talk to each other while following me. Padmé continued to storm forward with Anakin following muttering nonsense under his nose, and me stomping after them like a child.

We entered the stalagmite city and looked around in confusion. The whole thing was empty and too quiet for my liking. As we walked past some pillars I saw something move in the shadows. Anakin also stopped, putting a hand infront of me which caused Padmé to bump into me.

"There's something here." I told them and he nodded in agreement.

Suddenly a few winged creatures emerged and the two of us ignited our lightsabers cutting them in half. Padmé rushed forward where a door opened and a platform was. Anakin and I continued to fight off the creatures and switched off our weapon's once we were finished and ran after her.

The three of us stood there looking around. It seemed to be a factory of some kind. We were snapped out of our thoughts when the platform under us started to retreat. Padmé slipped and fell down to the conveyor belt while Anakin and I held onto the door that also slammed shut.

"Padmé!" We both yelled after her.

Anakin looked at me and I immediately knew what he was about to do.

"Anakin, don't even think about it!" I told him but it was too late, he already jumped down.

My hand started to slip and I ignited my lightsaber pushing it into the wall as I slid down to stop myself from plummeting to my death. I sighed and saw there wasn't that much of a distance left between myself and the conveyor belt.

"Why am I the only slightly responsible one..." I mumbled.

With one last glance at the ground I switched off my lightsaber and fell down.

•holy this is a short one, sorry about that. Anyway I'm nearly finished with the second movie, wow. New part coming tomorrow that one will be longer I promise. Also I made a new cover for the book, I hope you liked the part though! :)
