Third Person's POV

So it's been a week since Peter has texted Rylee and they have gotten pretty close in that week. She still thinks he's weird and all that but they have a good solid friendship going. So that's fun.

Hailey has been bugging her to talk to Peter and said Rylee declines everytime because she is that type of person that doesn't like spamming people with messages.

No one knows that Rylee has been texting people well besides Tony and Hailey. Tony hasn't been bugging Rylee about it and she's thankful for that. Right now Rylee is in Tony's lab with said billionaire wanting to escape from the pestering paparazzi Hailey, as that's what Rylee is calling Hailey at the moment.

"Your Dad was thinking, Ryles of sending you to school. To you know get an education. A rightful education and not just me and Friday." Tony says as Rylee takes her piece of beef jerky that her and Tony are sharing. She looks at her Uncle like he's crazy.

Because he is.

Once Rylee hadn't said anything and continued to look at Tony he moved beside her than across the table. "Ryles, it'll be okay you'll have Hailey. She goes to Midtown, right?" Tony says to her as she nods her head confirming what he said.

"Right, but I don't want to be weird and basically be Hailey's shadow for the entire thing at school." Rylee objects to her Uncle and he gives her a look as Rylee sighs into her hands.

"It'll be okay Ryles, trust me." Tony says putting his hands onto her shoulders to calm her down as he could tell that she's getting stressed about this.

"Can't I just stay here, or something like that." Rylee says as Tony shook his head at his niece.

"I'm afraid not." Tony says as Rylee put her head onto his shoulder as he rubs her back to sooth her. "At least do this until Christmas break and if by then you think this isn't for you I'll pull you out of the school. How about that?"

Rylee looked at him like she was going to say no and continue to fight about this, she nodded her head finally giving into this.

"Good because you start tomorrow." Tony says as Rylee lifted her head and hit her Uncle's head.

"OH MY GOD!!" Rylee yells back to her uncle as she walks out of the lab. Just then Rylee heard the sound of Pepper walking down the stairs.

"Tony don't piss off Rylee." Pepper says to herself as Rylee heard what her Aunt said.

"Too late." Rylee says as she goes upstairs to the kitchen and takes the entire pack of Oreos and an entire liter of dr pepper and then goes to her room. Just when she got there her computer dinged meaning she is getting a video message.

She immediately clicked on it and there was Bucky Barnes. The two of them have actually gotten close since they first met at the airport in Germany.

"So how is life in America?" Bucky asks as he started struggling on putting his hair up into a bun. Well the way that Rylee taught him. Though that was before he lost his metal arm.

"It's good, actually." Rylee says quietly though Bucky knew otherwise. He gave her a look.

"Ryles you don't sound so sure about that answer." Bucky says to her as she groans as she stuffed an oreo into her mouth.

"Uncle Tony is sending me to school tomorrow and I don't like it. At all. Can't he just teach me here at the compound." Rylee says as Bucky shakes his head no at her agreeing with Tony.

"I'm afraid not, Ry. When was the last time you left the tower and did teenager things?" Bucky asks as Rylee knew the man wasn't wrong. She doesn't leave the tower especially since they got back from dropping off Peter at his apartment a week ago.

"It's only been a week alright." Rylee snaps a little as she takes a deep breath to calm down as she hates shouting as it somehow reminds her of gun shots.

...and gun shots remind her of losing Bella.

Once Rylee calms down enough she takes a swig of her soda and puts it back onto her nightstand. Before turning back to Bucky who is on his makeshift bed i  Wakanda.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't had shout." Rylee says to Bucky who can tell that this is bothering her. She takes a deep breath as she pushes away her cookies, now lost her appetite.

"Why don't you want to go to school?" Bucky asks her as she now laid down and positioned her computer onto a pillow.

"I don't know. I gyess I just don't want to leave Dad. Because apparently everytime I leave him something happens and I guess I don't want anything to happen to him. He could've died last week after Vision struck him with his uh, beam." Rylee explains to Bucky as he nods his head listening to what she's saying. He sorta understands why she doesn't want to go. But it's for her own good.

Also, because Tony hadn't told her that she will be babysitting Peter. He wanted to leave that out until she leaves the next morning.

"I guess that makes sense, Ry." Bucky says to her as she took a long swig of her soda. As she put the cap back on it and put it in her lap as she has her arms around it.

"So what's your life been?" Rylee asks him as he smiles a little.

"Remember when I said I got HYDRA out of me. Well that happened, it feels weird but a good weird. I finally slept for once." Bucky says as Rylee smiles brightly at her friend in Wakanda.

She remembers the lostness in his eyes before he went under as she went there. Without explaining that she was friends with Bucky. Steve apologized to Rylee and the two reconciled their relationship.

"That's good." Rylee says to him as he chuckles a little at the girl.

"You should come and see me sometime." Bucky suggests to the girl as she smiles widely then frowns knowing she can't anymore because she has school. Bucky stops smiling at the girl as he has a small frown on his face. "What's wrong?"

"I can't come and see you." Rylee says as Bucky sighed remembering that she has school now.

"Right, you have school." Bucky says feeling bad for the girl as he got her hopes up. He hates when that happens as she is aways a happy girl and rarely you see a frown on her face. But recently you do more often she starts pushing people away and not acting like herself.

"Yeah and my life hates me." Rylee says as Bucky takes a deep breath.

"Well when you going to be on break?" Bucky asks her as Rylee blows her nose.

"I don't know haven't started yet. Though might get out of it when Christmas comes around." Rylee says as Bucky nods his head at her at what she said.

"Can't wait to see my favorite girl again." Bucky says making Rylee giggle at what he said.

"I will always be your favorite girl." Rylee says as Bucky smiles brightly at her making her smile. "Sometimes I wish I could hug you."

Bucky nods his head at her, then she heard a knock on her door. She put her finger to her hand as she opened up a random tab. Bucky understood the assignment and was quiet until Rylee said he could talk. "Come in." Rylee said to whoever was on the other side. The door opened and it was Pepper.

Rylee smiled as she went to YouTube and clicked on a random video which automatically muted Bucky. Rylee then looked up at Pepper who had something in her hand, which the girl was more curious about it.

"Hey, Ry. I um made you some cheesy mash potatoes with some chicken. Everyone else is eating and or finishing. Thought I'd come up here and give you, your dinner." Pepper says as Rylee happily took her dinner as it's her favorite foods. The potatoes were nice and buttery and just the right amount of salt like she likes them.

"Thanks Pep, I really love it." Rylee says as said Pepper took some Oreos as she smiled as she kissed Rylee's forehead. Then she walked out of her room and closed the door. Rylee happily ate her food and completely forgetting about Bucky being on the other end.

She went back to Bucky and unmuted him as she did her happy dance as she date her food. Clearly being in a better mood.

"Whatcha eating?" Bucky asks smiling at seeing Rylee doing her happy food dance as she calls it.

"Pepper made some mashed potatoes and added cheese to it because I'm weird." Rylee says showing Bucky her mashed potatoes as he nods his head.

"Aren't we all weird some way or another." Bucky says as Rylee couldn't disagree with him.

"True that." Rylee says as she bit into her chicken and smiled at the juicy meat. "Then this is the chicken and it's really good. It's tender and juicy with just enough spice to make it 'pop'." Rylee says like she is on some cooking show. From what Bucky is considering Rylee's food looks really good.

"Yummy. Sounds good. Wish I was there to eat it with you." Bucky says as Rylee is halfway with her mashed potatoes.

"Yeah me too. Maybe when I come and see you I can smuggle you some food." Rylee says as Bucky chuckles at the girl.

"Yeah you can smuggle in some food. Make sure it's mashed potatoes and chicken." Bucky says to the girl as now it's her time to laugh at him. God she loves Bucky.

"Well I gotta go before people think I have died up here." Rylee says as she is finished with her mashed potatoes and is finishing her chicken.

"Love you, Ryles." Bucky says blowing a kiss to Rylee as she pretended on catching it. Something that she taught Bucky how to do.

"Love you too, Buck." Rylee says as she hung up as she smiles as she misses him deeply. He is basically her only friend that doesn't judge her and or make her uncomfortable. He is there for her when she needs him. Even if she calls him when he is sleeping (as they have different timezones). He doesn't care as he will fall asleep when she talks to him especially when he's sleeping. But yet he doesn't care. They both have learned the real power of friendship and love.

Important questions for the next chapter at least. Maybe the one after that.

But will Rylee be like this when her and Peter see each other tomorrow?
Will she accept him into her life?
How will she be seeing him again?

Those questions will be answered by the next chapter at least maybe the one after that. I may not get to them right away, but I hopefully will.

I am really proud of how far this book is coming to. I love Rhodes but I feel bad that he never got married and or had children. So I thought I could do this.
