Fascism
It is said that the opposite of fascism is anarchism. But the grass is always greener isn't it, for what is anarchism but a mirror for the opposite end of the spectrum?
All presumptions aside, what is wrong with fascism?
If we ignore political correctness, fascism is merely a synoynm for every political system in existence. Does it really matter if the authoritarian figure is corporeal or a manifestation of an ideal? What is the difference between forcible supression of the opposition and sending morally-motivated criminals to jail who believes they have done nothing wrong? How is strong regimisentation of society any different than natural forming cliques, sects or norms?
Now imagine you are given complete freedom to rule the world, would you really do anything better than a fascist dictator?
Humans are naturally reactionary, they ironically oppose change yet are also so easily manipulated, so easily satiated with a change of words and temporary shift in equilibrium.
When it really comes down to it, the only thing wrong with fascism is that you aren't the one leading, the one benefitting. As long as the current political atmosphere is acceptable to one's selfish desires (yes, overzealous selflessness is very much selfish), then one is content. But the wonderful part about life is that it is dynamic. Nobody will ever be fully satisfied which leaves us to the political dance of fascism that merely changes its ballgown as it spins between different partners infinitely.
