Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 4 : Fɪɢʜᴛ

The next morning

(Y/n)'s POV

I open my eyes gently, my eyelashes protect me from the blinding light. I let out an exasperated sigh. My body would like to rest more, and I have no strength, but today is my first day as a maid. I don't really know what I'm going to have to do, I just hope it won't be exhausting.

For the night, I slept at Ash's parents house with everyone else. The rest of the Chicken Curry team are going to stay here but Khun said I can have a bedroom in his house, so I'll don't annoying Ash's parents more.

I get out of bed and open the door to find a box in front of me. I look at the little note above it and read that it's just a work outfit for me.

I grab the box and push the door after being back into my room with my foot. I put the package on the bed before I open it. I first look at the pair of basic heels, about 3 inches high in navy blue.

I then look at the outfit and take it out of the box for a closer look.

"This jerk..."

The outfit is a simple maid's dress with an opening at the neckline with long sleeves in shades of white and blue.

I clench my fists. Why did I take this job, seriously ? We could have just kept climbing the tower and the tests would have made me some money.

I walk to the bathroom and slam the door with shinsu impulse to get ready.

Blue's POV

A door was slammed on the floor. Probably by (Y/n), since we're all already at the table. The loud noise of the door surprised everyone. Tal dropped her butter toast on the table, Kat, who was serving orange juice to everyone, spilled it on my pillow on my lap.

Kat knew she was dead. Ash crawled under the table to be safe, like during an earthquake.

"I-I'm sorry, Blue...?"

I clench my fists and form some bang of shinsu. Kat runs away while I follow her across a shinsu platform, because I don't want to run.

Khun's POV

The girls in (Y/n)'s team are fighting while I quietly drink my coffee.

"Asensio, are you going to take care of the child Bam brought yesterday ? I know there are all the girls from the Chicken Curry Team to take care of him but I can also take him with me. It would make more sense since I'm the reason he had to go through all this.
- As you wish. Aron seemed to get along pretty well with (Y/n), so why not ?"

April's pouting next to Asensio. She wanted to take care of Aron like her son. She finally agreed to let me take him with me. I get up after finishing my coffee and Aron leaves the table at the same time.

"Mr Khun, you'll take care of Aron then ? — Bam smiles
- I guess so. I'm going to take responsibility.
- You'll have to take care of the little turtle like your child, blue turtle !!"

Rak eats everything on the table and puts it all in his mouth, I'll never understand how he can do it.

I put on the black cape I wore yesterday and Aron comes towards me smiling. I give him a little smile until (Y/n) finally comes down the stairs. Everyone started laughing when they saw the rabbit girl's outfit and I did too.

Aron ran up to her to give her a hug while she gave me a murderous look.

"Can we go now ? It's already getting on my nerves.
- Put on your cape and let's go."

(Y/n) puts on her cape and Ash comes out from under the table to say a quick goodbye, while Kat is still running for her life with Blue behind her.

"Be careful you two ! — Tal smiles
- She's right, be careful, apparently there are several former women of Edahn looking for you Khun, but we don't know for what. — April crosses her arms
- Thanks for everything, see you girls ! Let's go, Khun."

Aron took (Y/n)'s hand in his right hand and mine with his left hand. I smile and we end up leaving Asensio and April's huge house.

"Why don't we teleport ? You're a lightbearer, aren't you ? It would be faster and easier.
- If I used my lighthouses here, we'd be directly who I am. We'll walk over there. Then on the bright side, Aron looks like he's having fun."

Aron looks up at the two of us, and he's got a big smile on his face.

"It's like you're my parents !"

There's a big, uneasy silence, (Y/n) drinks water to avoid having to speak. Aron ends up speaking again.

"Why Mom is dressed like that ? Did you ask her to do that Dad ?"

(Y/n) spits out the water she was drinking and chokes on it. I use my free hand to hide my face, desperate and embarrassed.

"W-we're not really your parents, you know, Aron... — (Y/n) try to reason him
- Oh... I'm sorry..."

The little boy, about 5 years old, puts his head down with tears in his eyes. As I expected, she starts to panic.

"All right, fine ! You can call me mommy and you can call him daddy !
- Wha—
- Say nothing darling ! Can't you see that Aron's watching us ?"

She stops me from talking by putting a finger on my lips and she pulls my cape to get me closer to her for whispering something in my ear without letting go of the Aron's hand.

"Play along so you don't make him sad. You can kill me when we get home, but we're being followed for now."

I sneak around and notice a woman with long blue hair walking away in the crowd staring at us. I nod my head and we speed up the pace slightly. Aron can't really follow us, so I stop for a few seconds to pick him up and put him on my shoulders.

(Y/n) closed the gap between her and me by getting closer to me and holding my arm to pretend to be a couple. She's right, it's a good idea. The whole Khun family knows that I kicked Edahn's women out because I didn't want anyone, so if that woman follows us thinking it's me, she'll stop when she sees the two of us together.

We walk around like this for about ten minutes. I look towards (Y/n) and she moves her head to tell me fairly quickly that she's still following us.

Her grip on my arm tightens and suddenly, loud footsteps resound against the ground of the street.

"(Y/n) !!
- Cover me, Khun !"

She makes appear her weapons inventory and pulls out the Blue August to protect herself from the blue-haired woman's attack. A blinding glow dazzles passers-by as screams begin to be heard.

Once the light fades, most people are gone. I was able to protect the woman's attack with my lighthouses and (Y/n) seems to be fine. The hood of her cape had fallen off with the impact but she had nothing to hide.

"Who are you ? Why are you attacking us ?
- I am the mother of this child. Give him back to me."

I look at Aron and he looks terrified and he's shaking all over. Rabbit looks at me and I nod.

"Go away or I'll have to make you go away on my own. I don't feel like fighting on my first day of work.
- THERE'S NO WAY I'M LEAVING ! THIS MAN HAS RUINED THE WHOLE LIFE THAT WAS MEANT FOR ME !"

I grind my teeth. That's why I kicked all of Edahn's women out of the palace. I had no personal problems with them, but they're all the same.

(Y/n) sighs and laughs slightly afterwards.

"Fine. I'll finish this quickly, I really don't want to exhaust myself. I've got work to do later. Khun, just protect Aron and you, I'll take care of everything."

She positions herself with a smile on her face. How can she be so confident ? She's not from any of the big 10 families and this woman looks like a ranker. Even with a 13-month weapon, it's going to be hard if she doesn't know how to use it.

A huge crater burrows under both women's feet and blue smoke comes out of the Blue August.

"Ignition."

The woman looks terrified in front of the rabbit girl. She still clutches her weapon using shinsu with electrical properties floating around. (Y/n) doesn't seem to be scared at all.

I take Aron before putting him in one of my lighthouses so that nothing happens to him and I hide it behind me so that he doesn't see anything.

The rabbit takes an impulse on the ground and attacks her directly, the woman in front of her smiles.

"Don't be arrogant, little girl ! I'm a high ranker !!"

I look towards (Y/n). She doesn't have a chance if she's a high ranker !! A thin smile appears on her lips.

The blue-haired woman stopped moving suddenly for no reason and (Y/n) disappeared in a tornado of blue shinsu like water.

"You should avoid moving. You're being held by the threads of my coil inventory. They're very sharp.
- You expect me to believe you ?! You can't own two weapons that strong !"

The woman moves her arm to free herself and break the invisible threads, but her arm splits into several pieces and falls to the ground. Blood is pouring out everywhere and she starts screaming because of the pain. (Y/n) just appear behind the woman.

"I warned you. Now get out of here, or I'll really kill you this time."

The woman run away after being released. (Y/n) puts back the Blue August in her weapon inventory and she walks towards me before she kneels down on the ground, head down, one hand on her chest.

"I hope I make you proud.
- You're terrifying. Who are you in reality ?
- I don't know."

She raises her head, a big smile on her face.

"You're gonna have to compensate me, because I didn't see it written anywhere on my contract that I should fight !
- Tss. You're not part of Xiaxia's family for nothing."

She has a big smile on her face and I make my pocket appear for transferring money to her for her fight.

"Thank you !
- Let's say you deserved it. Let's get back on the road, we still have some way to go."

3rd person's POV

Meanwhile, at Asensio and April's house...

"I wonder if they're okay."

Tal watches TV with the popcorn packet on her lap. Ash and Kat are sitting next to her and Bam comes and sits with them.

"What are you watching ?
- The fight."

Bam looks at Ash in a state of incomprehension.

"Kat has sent a hidden lighthouse with them just in case. So we're watching the fight that (Y/n) has against this high ranker."

Bam chokes and sits down next to Ash and watches the images of the lighthouse on TV.

"How did she beat a high ranker ? She's really super strong !
- She used both her 13-month weapons at the same time, she must be exhausted."

Tal watches Kat's lighthouse following the 3 people until the image becomes blurred and (Y/n) falls to the ground just before the lighthouse turns black.

"What happened ?!
- Mr. Khun must have seen your lighthouse and destroyed it."

Bam has an innocent smile on his face, as if that's normal. Kat sulks, and she looks at her bank account in her pocket.

"I'll have to buy a new lighthouse now..."

Everyone laughs, but Ash seems disturbed and Bam had seen her. He approaches her and whispers in her ear.

"Are you worried ?"

Ash blushes from the closeness and nods her head. The dark-haired boy tied gets up from the couch.

"Okay, I'm going to go to Khun's house ! And Ash, you're coming with me !"

The other girls grumble because they want to come too. Blue sighs and opens her eyes a little because she was asleep.

"Shut up please, I try to sleep…"

(Y/n)'s POV

We finally go in Khun's house after long minutes. After the fight with this woman, I fell from exhaustion. Khun carried me on his back for the rest of the way while Aron walked next to him.

Khun put me on the ground and look at me attentively.

"Are you feeling better ?
- I think so. Thank you for carrying me.
- It's nothing, you're rather light."

I smile lightly and ask him where the bathroom is. He points a door upstairs and I begin to climb the stairs with difficulty. I already feel at the end of my strength.

I feel myself closing my eyes when I suddenly feel the grip of a hand on mine.

"I'll help you go if you're still not feeling well."

He presses my hand into his and walks with me to the bathroom before letting me go.

"Do what you have to do and meet me afterwards in the big room at the end of the hall. Take your time."

He gives me a sweet smile and goes into the room he talked about with Aron. I look at my hand that he hold a short time before I felt the pain in my lungs get stronger.

I quickly go into the bathroom and start coughing up blood in the sink. I feel my breath accelerating and I clench my teeth.

I hadn't even bothered to close the door because I hadn't had time and someone came in front of the door.

The boy in front of the door looked younger than me, but he was my size. He had short curly blue hair and blue eyes.

"Need help for holding your hair ?"
