Originally, Akito is sarcastic and passive-aggressive to anyone he doesn't know or trust, always throwing minor insults to their direction or using sarcasm against them. Towards those people, he also acts cold and usually gives them judgemental and threatening stares, though one reasoning for this is that he's antisocial.

However, when he warms up, he has a warm heart and is very reliable, especially in a battle. He also can be protective of the ones he cares about, even to the point if someone badmouths them, he'll look all control of his temper and go off on the person. He is also very loyal to his friends, willing to lay down his life for them if the situation called for it, though his friends would heavily advise against him doing that.

In battle, Akito's a fierce battle-hardened warrior. After fighting against multiple Atlas Military Soldiers and even Faunus from the White Fang, he's developed a tactical, yet fierce battle style, normally scanning for weaknesses then aggressively exploiting them to ensure a quick victory. He can also be hardworking, when it comes to thinks like research and schoolwork.

Semblance: >Innovator<: Akito's semblance is quite unique, compared to most others. Innovator allows Akito to use his own quantum brainwaves to communicate with others. He also gains increased spatial awareness, see the Aura levels of others, the ability to use any available information to analyze with a high level of accuracy and predict what will happen. When his Semblance had activated for the first time during the Chapter 29 of Gundam Shadows, Akito was able to hear the voices of all of this friends. Their thoughts of not only determination but also desperation and he could feel their individual Auras and life forces. It allowed him to assess the situation and prioritize on helping those that needed it the most, like Pyrrha and Blake, with the help of Gundam Exia of course. However, the downside to this Semblance is that it requires Akito to have very strong willpower to fully control as the overload of information he's being received all at once can overwhelm him. When he activates his semblance, his eyes begin to glow yellow and he becomes hyper focused on the situation.

>Magic<: Thanks to the four sisters that live in his head, Akito possesses the capability to control magic, which explains his ability to wield the different elements freely.

>Gundam Exia<: Specialized for Close quarters Combat, the "Exia", also known as "Exia, Gundam Seven Swords" is one of the three Gundam Prototypes developed by the scientists in the Atlas Military for their top fighters.

However, it was, along with the Eclipse Gundam were stolen, leaving the military with the Wing Gundam Zero. It ended up Akito's hands because he was the one who originally 'stole' it along with its primary weapon, Alpha. When equipped, Gundam Exia gives Akito the ability of flight, immense durability, increased speed, strength and endurance. Gundam Exia is equipped with many weapons, mainly its famous seven swords:

Main Weapons:

GN Sword and GN Beam Rifle (Alpha): Mounted on his right arm, is a large blade, which is longer than Akito's forearm known as the "GN Sword", or "Alpha" as it's codename is. Its sharp edges allow for excellent cutting ability, however its large size makes it impractical for tight spaces such as alleyways. Alpha can also function as a ranged weapon by folding the blade to the back of his arm, revealing the rifle muzzle that can fire off highly destructive beams. In this form it is referred to as the "GN Beam Rifle" This is also how it is stored when not in use, however the portion of the weapon housing the blade and rifle body can slide closer to the shield portion to allow Akito to hold other things.

Other Armaments:

• GN Long and Short Blades: A pair of physical swords with different length, one long and one short, with extraordinary cutting and piercing capabilities. Also known collectively as GN Blades, they can easily cut through a the armor of an Atlesian Paladin. The GN Short Blade can also be used as a throwing weapon like the GN Beam Daggers. When not in use, the GN Long Blade is stored on a rotatable mount on the left hip, and the GN Short Blade is stored on the same type of mount on the right hip. Also, Akito is able to summon these swords, even if he's not in his Exia Exosuit, making them brilliant back up weapons in battles he isn't using Exia.

• X2 GN Beam Sabers: A pair of close combat weapons that emits a beam blade made of GN Particles from their hilts when drawn. When not in use, a pair is stored on the back of Exia's shoulder armor.

• X2 GN Beam Daggers: A pair of GN Beam Daggers that have the same basic system as the GN Beam Sabers, but they are adjusted to emit shorter beam blades that consume less energy and also make them harder to diffuse. Thus, they are suitable to be used as throwing weapons to pierce distant enemies. When not in use, they are stored on Exia's rear waist.

• X2 GN Vulcans: These are a pair of beam Vulcans installed on Exia's forearms. Although they have low firepower, their beams can be rapid fired intermittently and they are effective in restricting enemy movements, damaging conventional weapons and light armored targets.

• GN Shield: Mounted on the left forearm, it is a shield specifically designed for Exia. The GN Shield is made of E-Carbon and can deploy a GN Field on its surface to achieve high defensive capabilities. As long as the GN Shield receives energy from Exia, it cannot be destroyed by conventional weapons. However, it can still be overwhelmed by powerful beam weaponry. Since the Gundams starting with Exia have body armor with similar defensive capability, a shield may seem unnecessary at first glance. However, through the movement of the left arm, the mounted GN Shield can be used to absorb the shock of an attack. To maintain Exia's range of articulations, the GN Shield is usually kept at a compact size; it can expand its size and defensive area when needed through the sliding of the shield's blue parts outward. However, the expanded state has lower physical defensive capabilities, resulting in the need to enhance the GN Field, increasing the consumption of GN Particles. Since the GN Shield may be a hindrance when dual wielding weapons in close combat, Akito can make it vanish into GN Particles for storage. Akito also can wield this without having Exia equipped.

>Over-Boost Mode<: The safety devices of Exia's GN Drive can be deactivated to achieve a temporary 'boost' state. This draws out the GN Drive's full power and is known as "Over-Boost Mode", but its use is usually discouraged because it's extremely risky and inefficient. Akito's only used this once and that's against Yang in the Vytal Festival Finale but still lost due to the 'boost' lasting much shorter than Yang's Semblance.

>Optical Camouflage<: This does two different things. It allows the Gundam to be stored into a special necklace that the Meisters are given that is called the "Gundam Core". The second function of this is like the other Gundam Prototypes, it allows the Gundam Exia to deploy an external camouflage membrane over itself when stationary, blending it into its environment and making it look invisible. This is most useful when a Gundam Core is either lost or destroyed.

>Trans-Am<: A system that currently, only the Gundam Exia has access to. During Trans-Am, all of the compressed high-density GN particles accumulated in the Gundam are fully released, enhancing its thrust and defensive capabilities as well as allowing it to perform at three times its normal output for a limited time. The entire Gundam also appears red as the tremendous amount of GN Particles surrounding and covering the machine as well as those within the GN Cables and in the minute paths in the armor, which are usually invisible, begin to glow red. Furthermore, afterimages are generated when the Gundam is moving. However, this system is also a double-edged sword, as once it's ended, the Gundam's performance will drop dramatically as most of the GN Particles within its body have been used up. This negative effect will last until the stored GN Particles within the Gundam return to normal level, thus usage of the system requires careful consideration.

Other:

Akito has four sisters that lived in his head all his life. Going by the names, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, they all represent the four seasons and are the physical manifestations of the four original Maidens. They can materialize next to him and interact with everyone around. However after the fight with Cinder on top of Beacon Tower, the four sadly perished in their final attempt to protect their older brother. However, due to their sacrifice, Akito gained the ability to use the magic his sisters had.

Over the years, Setsuna has developed a strong hatred towards humans and would feel pleasure killing them. Normally when fighting them, she's overly aggressive and displays animalistic behavior, usually growling, roaring and howling while pouncing on her enemies. Despite this however, she has a bit of honor as she will not attack Humans who are innocent in her eyes or are victims themselves.

In reality, Setsuna is sweet and quite pure, like a cinnamon roll. She's considerate towards her friends and especially other Faunus and will often help them out. Her partner, Akito is one of them, but she can be quite clingy and possessive of him at times.

Semblance: >Primal Instincts<: This momentarily increases Setsuna's physical abilities, increasing her speed, agility, hearing, sight, endurance and strength significantly. The longer she uses it, the more enhanced her physique will become. However, using it for too long will fatigue her and give her head splitting headaches. When activated, Setsuna's eyes glow a bright blue.

Ice Wolf Claws: The brown wrist bands on Setsuna store Ice Dust Crystals, allowing for her to conjure up sturdy Wolf Claws made of ice to tear through her opponents.
