The world is a cruel battlefield. In a new Earth where just one, glowing baby started a whole new revolution, a new system took place.

Children with extremely powerful quirks found themselves separated from their parents, Governments were overpowered by heinous criminals blessed with poorly limited powers. The world was thrown into unending chaos and despair unlike any other; many went into hiding. Others died.

Only then did the brave beings of humanity rose. People of every shape and size appeared out of nowhere, battling against those who threatened their existence and the lives of innocent people. One of them was her great grandma, Makeda Keire.

She wasn't the most powerful person out there, all she had to her name was 'The baby that glowed'. She was a proud Jamaican at heart, though born and raised in the populous cities of China. People never bothered to know her name, all they ever knew her as was the 'Luminescent Baby'. The first person in the world to ever be born with a Quirk.

Her Quirk wasn't extremely powerful, it was simply a glowing Quirk. She was able to emit a distracting glow off her body and was able to make it bright enough to temporarily blind an opponent. She was used by many as a distraction, simply a decoy for those with powers able to defeat an enemy. It wasn't right, yet she dealt with it anyway.

She dealt with the fact that the people around her meant to do good deeds were using her as a distraction. She dealt with the fact that she was shunned by others in a society bent on thinking it was her fault the world was slowly getting destroyed. Makeda dealt with the fact that those who loved her before had abandoned her in the only time she was truly ever in dire need of help. She dealt with it and embraced it. It made her who she was that day, a courageous woman ready to risk her life for the happiness of those too cowardly to do it themselves. She was a hero in her eyes and many of those around her.

That was the story her mother told. She told her about the great escapades and the way her eyes used to shine when she saw an innocent person smile. The way she saved people with compassion was what drove her to become who she is today. Makeda Keire was a hero.

That was something that Delyse was not.
