I'm so sorry I wasn't able to update as promised yesterday.
Trust me, I was almost done when I slept off. I have not even been feeling well since yesterday morning.
You know the feeling when one of your sense organs is hurting, it's frustrating. Mine us even double.
My left ear and eye has been hurting since yesterday.

             Geraldine had been staring into the empty space for the past one hour. She had turned her phone off. Avoiding calls from those who knew her, and probably from those who wanted to use this to ruin abuses on her.

She had totally forgotten she had sent a picture like that to him. She thought he deleted it.

She couldn't believe he kept it and decided to use it to deal with her.

She still couldn't believe that Jayden was that shallow. Well, you couldn't tell with human beings. They were not to be trusted.

But why that? He could have used another means to deal with her. But releasing her nudes, wasn't fair.

Her nudes on the internet. He had successfully destroyed her.

It might not be a big deal in some places. But here in Nigeria, Africa in general. This was a big disgrace. A very big scandal to her family's name and reputation.

It was definitely going to get to her parents notice too. Especially when bloggers successfully links her to Monica Anete. She could already imagine the headline. This was a very big scandal.

Her Mum was most likely to have found out. She had never felt so powerless in her life. So confused and scared. She felt very terrible. At this moment Geraldine wished she could disappear and no one hears about her anymore. She could just leave the earth's surface.

Jayden did this to her?

She was beyond shocked.

"Gidi, open the door."

She recognized the voice instantly. Feeling some sort of relieved, it wasn't who she thought it was.

Opening the door, she drags her in and locks the door. She didn't miss the shock on Munachi's face. She was definitely not expecting to be dragged in like that.

"I told her you knew I was coming. She complained you specifically asked none of them to come here." Munachi says referring to the maid.

Also reminding Geraldine she had specifically told one of them off, when she came to ask her, to come down for lunch. Also indicating she should tell others not to come up to her room.

"I'm so sorry. How the hell did that pervert get your picture?" Munachi asks looking horrified, meanwhile, Geraldine covers her face with both hands, spacing around. "I thought you guys were dating, and he released..., "

"We broke up," Geraldine says calmly.
"I sent the picture to him. I thought he had deleted it." Geraldine says feeling embarrassed.

What would Munachi think of her?

"I'm fine, trust me I am," Geraldine says trying to pull the big girl stunt, by convincing herself she was okay.
"The only problem is my parents finding..., "

"Out?" Munachi completes her statement. "They will surely do. If they haven't seen it yet. It has gone viral. Monica Anete's granddaughter, viral nude picture. The luck is, it isn't full, but it has your face and naked boobs, Gidi." Munachi says, making Geraldine wonder if she was controlling her or rubbing salt.
"Bloggers eh. The headline that pissed me off, was Kid model, Aaliyah John... Like did they need to drag that child into this?"

"Oh my God!" Geraldine exclaims. There was no way she was getting out of this mess. Her parents would have seen it, grandma, too and even Liyah's crew.

"What were you thinking. Your nudes to a boy? Geraldine, it's one thing letting him see you naked and another thing sending a signature to him. Which is your nudes. I thought you were smarter than this. This isn't smart, this is a full time fuck- up." Munachi says. "What do I expect from a friend of Leo, " Munachi hisses.

"God."

"Stop calling God, we have to fix this mess ourselves, God isn't coming down to fix anything for you." She hisses. "That guy is gross enough. I bet you don't know, his so-called sister, abi cousin Ivy, he is having sex with her."

Geraldine couldn't help but let her eyes budge out. All this shocks in one day. For goodness sake, she needed a break.

"Huh?"

"I knew you would be these shocked. To make the story more enticing. I got it from Ivy herself. They aren't blood relations. She was adopted by his grandma. And they have been digging it for a very looooong time." Munachi says to a shocked Geraldine. "Though she claims it's of recent. After you guys started dating or so. Didn't you satisfy his enough?"

Geraldine couldn't help but scrunch her face.

"I'm not done. This means what you are thinking is correct. He was dating you and digging her at the same time."
Geraldine didn't know if the specification was just to torture her or help her.

"No," Geraldine says in disbelief. "Jayden would never do that." She says, realizing he had just leaked that picture of her. She was beyond hurt.
"He agreed to abstinence." She says quite confused.

She couldn't believe her ears, then it made sense. Those death glares, awkward looks and behaviour she always got from Ivy.

"That guy is bad news. To think he was one of the dudes I admired, so quite and all that..., "

"Munachi, please stop talking." Geraldine who couldn't ascertain what she was feeling anymore pleads.

Pain mixed with rage, betrayed, was what she felt at that moment.

"No guy will ever use me again." Munachi suddenly says.

"Munachi."

"Don't Munachi me. We have to clear this mess."

After uninstalling Instagram and Whatsapp which were the first things on her mind, she uninstalls every other social media platform, she was using.

She had successfully uninstalled all the platforms she could think of. Blocked all the numbers she wanted to.

Now staring at her phone, she remembered Ekanem and the fact she promised to keep in touch.

She slowly dials her number. It doesn't get to ring twice.

"Jeez, Jewel."

Ekanem was so fast. She didn't expect her to pick up the call immediately.

"Hey." Jewel calls out slowly. Her voice is very low.

"How are you doing?" Ekanem asks.

Jewel noticed how lively she sounded.

"I'm good. You?" Jewel asks.

"You don't sound okay? I would have loved to come over, we have a lot to talk about. It's very important." Ekanem says.

Jewel noticed how serious she sounded. The last thing she wanted was to invite Ekanem home, especially with everything going on with the lawyer, and Ekanem's parents.

Ekanem coming over will only cause more friction.

"I will come over today..., "

"Don't." Jewel cuts her off before she could finish her statement.

"Why? I..., "

"I will come over instead," Jewel says calmly.

"Really?" Ekanem asks. She could hear the surprise in her voice.

"Yes. Staying indoors in draining already." Jewel says calmly.

"You can come. My parents aren't home though." Ekanem says slowly. Meanwhile, Jewel stares into the case.

"Okay."

"What ridiculous strategy are they playing by? Can you imagine that boy won't be appearing in court. I just got off the phone with Barrister Briggs." Jordan says dropping his car keys roughly on the dressing table, meanwhile, Jewel who was about to go in, halts on hearing the statement.

Her Dad had just gotten in, she saw it as a perfect opportunity to ask for permission to leave the house. Knowing her Mum, she was getting it. Not after what happened.

"Why?"

She could hear the rage in her Mum's voice. Reminding Jewel the proceedings was this week. She was going to appear in court.

"His is in coma."

Jewel uses her left hand to cover her mouth.

Nathan in comma?

"That's their strategy huh? These people are trying to play dirty. I don't know why they are trying to delay the proceedings. Trust me, this ain't gonna happen." He says.

The seriousness in her father's voice was something Jewel didn't miss. An awkward sound makes her pause. It takes her a few seconds to tell she had mistakenly pushed the door, by leaning on it.

She was in her parent's presence. The look they were giving her wasn't it at all.

"Jewel." Her mum calls out with question in her eyes. While her Dad stared at her, like he could see through her or something. Which made her uncomfortable.

"Mum, Dad." She calls out moving her hands slowly. "I wanted to ask for permission." Her voice sounded low.

"What's wrong?" Her Dad asks with concern.

"I wanted to leave the house. I need to talk to Ekanem, it's important." She didn't know when she spilt the truth.

The environment suddenly seemed tense.

"The girl from school, whose parents refused to testify?" Her Dad asks with a demanding look.

"Hunny." Her mum calls out, giving him a look.

"Jewel, you cant leave this house. That's the bottom line." April says looking stern.

"Why?" Jewel found herself asking. Her tone was low.

"Look, after everything that has been going on recently. We don't want you leaving the house. We are still paying the price of that party..., "

"Sweetheart, " Her Dad calls out with a glare.

"Don't shush me. She knows what's going on. We are still trying to move on from that. The least she should do is stay home and try not to get into more trouble. Also, I don't want her seeing that Ekanem girl, or having anything to do with her..., "

"Sweety, don't take it out on that kid. It's her parent's decision, not her. Also think about it, if it were..., "

"If my child was in her shoes, I would help get justice, Jordan don't try to make me look bad." Her Mum yells.

How things had just escalated. This was pretty serious. Her Mum just referred to her Dad by his first name.

"Can we not do this in front of..., "

"Do what is front of who? Jewel isn't a kid anymore, she should know the difference between right and wrong. Also complicated things. We are in a tight spot now. No one is our friend." She paused and turns to Jewel, who couldn't believe her Mum was yelling at her Dad. "Look, I don't have a problem with anything you want to do, but do it within this house." She says laying emphasis. "If I hadn't let you go out on that day, maybe all these wouldn't have happened." Her voice breaks. In no time she stops it.
"Just go to your room."

"Mummy, this house is suffocating, I can't stay in here any..., "

"I don't think you are daft, or are you?"

"Baby..., "

"Don't." Her Mum cuts him off.

"I can't stay indoors anymore, I'm going crazy."

"Jewel, I will take you there myself, just go get ready."

"Jordan, can you hear yourself right now?" April asks.

"And do you know, you are causing much damage to her?" Her Dad asks, while both parents glares dagger at each other.

Jewel couldn't believe what had become of her family.

"Of course, contradict me in front of her. Isn't that what you are good at doing. I'm the bad guy here. Carry on." Her Mum yells hard.

"April, she needs a break from everything. She needs to communicate with people. And leave this house for a change."

She couldn't believe she was the cause of this friction happening between her parents.

     He had successfully deleted the post, though he knew it wasn't going to help in any way. The picture had gone viral. Bloggers must have carried it by now.

If there was something he avoided it was going online again. The comments he got from that post, were both negative and positive. But from people he knew and didn't. Some persons hailing him and laughing about it, guys in majority. Some persons insulting him, and some persons insulting both of them and ruining abuses on Geraldine.

To think he had no idea of what was going on. Jason hadn't seen it on time. If only he picked Leo's calls.

The only question on his mind was how?

How in God's name did that get out.

He would never post that, no matter the fact they were no longer together and they had a rough heartbeat.

Now he regretted, why he never deleted it, and blamed his perverted self.

Jason had finished ranting but stopped when he assured him he wasn't the one.

Why would he even think that of him? That was his question. 

This wasn't a joking matter, it suddenly dawned on Jayden.

         Jewel text Ekanem, before turning to her Dad. She wasn't thrilled by the way he policed her, but it wasn't his fault. He was only looking out for her, which she wasn't comfortable at the means.

"You call me when you are done." He suddenly says. Meanwhile, she nods her head. He was leaving. Now it was less awkward.

"Yes." She says meanwhile he rolls up the glasses. She couldn't see him from outside, anymore.

The gate suddenly pushes open. She took a good look at Ekanen who was in a big polo and had nothing underneath.

She heard the car zoom off immediately, which makes her turn, he was gone.

She gradually turns back to Ekanem who had a small smile on her face.

"Come in." She pulls her by the hand. Jewel took note of the security man, who only nodded to her greetings.

The house still looked the same, but this time around the dogs were changed. To think she had forgotten there were dogs.

"Do you want anything?" Ekanem asks while they walked into the sitting room.

"No, thank..., "

She isn't only dumbfounded, but the words also left her mouth, immediately she saw Leo staring back at her from the couch.

She makes to turn to Ekanem, then back to Leo, then Ekanem.

She couldn't believe she didn't tell her Leo was here or coming. Because she would have passed.

She was avoiding dramas only to see this.

"Ekanem!" She calls out. Couldn't hold herself anymore. "Why didn't you tell me, he was here?" The irritation in her voice wasn't hidden.

She avoids meeting his gaze too.

She didn't miss the apologetic look on Ekanem's face, as she pulled her into the main house.

In no time, they are in Ekanem's room. Which was messed up. Clothes were littered. It seemed like she was arranging or better still looking for something.

"I'm really sorry. He begged me." Ekanem says with a pout. She looked indeed pitiful. "I couldn't bring myself to say no to him..., "

"Then you could have told me about it." Jewel cuts her off calmly.

"Like you weren't going to call it off immediately." Ekanem paused for a while, then resumes. "You don't have to talk to him."

"Can you hear yourself? How possible is it? I came here for a change of scenario, to talk to you. You told me you had something to say." Jewels groans. "Now seeing him." She points. "Him in the same house as me, how well can that go? It made it worse." Jewel says honestly. You could hear the pain in her voice.

"I'm so sorry," Ekanem says looking guilty. "Look you won't have to talk to him, we will be here all through and..., "

"Jewel."

She flinched.

Shocked.

She doesn't break eye contact with Ekanem who looked more guilty.

"Leo, please just leave," Ekanem says. Although she could see how hard it was for her to say it.

"Please, I just want to talk to Jewel. I promise I will leave afterwards." He pleads.

"Leo," Ekanem calls out giving Jewel an apologetic look. She looked thorn between the both of them.

"I'm extremely sorry. Jewel." Ekanem calls out still with an apologetic look.

Jewel folds her arms slowly. She knew there was no way she could escape Leo, especially with the fact Ekanem had just run off leaving them all alone.

There is a very awkward silence. You could hear the sound of a pin if dropped. If this wasn't rapture, then what was it?

Jewel froze immediately she felt him wrap his hand around her, urging her frail body into him. She felt a tear roll than her eyes, while she flinched at his touch.

No one talks. There is pure silence.

     Geraldine paces around the room like a crazy woman. It had been a long day, which didn't want to end.

She hadn't heard from her parents, not because they might have not seen it, but because she turned her phone off.

It had gone viral, there was no way, they wouldn't have seen it.

The information Munachi was giving her wasn't helping matters either.

"Geraldine, it's everywhere," Munachi says calmly. "I just checked that bastard's page. He has taken it down." She says.

Geraldine didn't want to think about him or hear anything concerning him at the moment. She wished she never heard of his existence.

"Dave Otedola reposted it. Who is Dave Otedola? So many retweets." Munachi complains. "There is no way your parents haven't seen or heard this by now," Munachi says.

"Can you stop being the commentator for a minute, I am trying to be sane here!" Geraldine exclaims.

"Sorry," Munachi says.

"Thank you," Geraldine responds and takes a deep breath.

"God. The comments are really brutal. What is these idiot saying?" Mumachi asks.

Geraldine who didn't know what else to say, just sits down.

"My mum doesn't want me involved in the case. She said it would cause a lot of scandals, she doesn't want me to be part of it. I'm really sorry. She forbid me from testifying against Nathan." Ekanem says slowly. All this while, Jewel pays attention.

She didn't even have the strength or energy to ask why? She just stared back at Ekanem.

"I'm really sorry. It has to do with the OTEDOLA'S. My Mum is very sensitive about it. I swear I really want to help, but can't. I just wanted to talk to you about it facially..., "

"Ekanem. It's not your fault. Let it be." Jewel says calmly.

"Are you mad at me?" She asks slowly.

"I'm not. You have tried your best..., "

"I swear, I want Nathan to pay."

"I know. Trust me, Ekanem I do. I owe you a lot. I am not mad at you. You don't need to explain yourself to me." Jewel says calmly.

There is silence.

"What about Nathan?"

Ekanem seemed taken aback by the question.

"I was told he is in comma," Jewel says quite confused.

"Oh... Yeah! He... Something of that sort." Ekanem responds.

Though her response didnt seem clear.

"They are sort of hiding the cause from the public. It's not in my place to tell you." Ekanem says.

Another round of silence.

"It's okay," Jewel says.

"Why did Jayden post Geraldine's nude?"

That came as a bomb, to a confused Jewel.

"Nude?" Jewel asks.

"Nude." She repeats. "It's all over the internet. Jayden posted it."

"What?" Jewel asks quite confused. "I haven't heard of it. I haven't gone online since we got back..., "

"This," Ekanem says handing over Jewel her phone.

"Oh God," Jewel says in shock. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Or believe what she was hearing.

"You said Jay..., "

"This was posted by Jayden. I saw it before he took it down. Captioned World's greatest slut." Ekanem says.

"Oh my God." Jewel who was so shocked and confused says, her left hand over her mouth.

"Really fucked up. I mean I don't like her, but Jayden fucked up."

        He tried to hide it, but she saw it before he could. They hadn't said a word to each other, after the hug, he just left the room without saying anything.

She had pleaded with Ekanem to ask her driver to take her to Geraldine's place. Which she was in the process of doing when she walked into Leo.

Seeing him like this broke her heart. He looked so broken. Those things he was taking was causing harm to him.

"The harm this is doing to you, is unexplainable." She says while they stare into each other eyes. She didn't miss the struggle on his face.

"I'm sorry." He says slowly.

"It's not me Leo, this is on you. You aren't doing anything wrong to me but yourself." She says.

"About Nathan."

Her facial expression changed immediately. Nathan was just someone she didn't want to think about.

"What he did to you..., I can't even think about it. I'm really sorry Jewel. If only I knew he had that..., "

"He found out about us." She blurts out, while she joins him on the floor.

He looked surprised.

"He didn't con..., "

"He saw us the day your Mum came back. I swore I saw a shadow before her." Jewel says remembering vividly.
"To think he didnt confront us, but decided to deal with me..., " Her voice was cracking.

"God," Leo exclaims now staring straight ahead.

Jewel slowly picks up the substance close to her. It was in a drugs sachet.

"Are you high?" She asks the most ridiculous question ever.

He nods indicating No, with a weak smile.

"What's this?"

"AZ!" He responds calmly.

"This is destroying you."

"Like anyone cares." He scoffs.

"I care. Leo I do. It hurts me seeing you this way."

He scoffs lightly, like he didn't believe her or something.

"I won't do it again."

It sounded easy coming from him. But she didn't believe he meant it.

"Leo." She calls out.

"I promise." He says calmly.

"You do?" She asks calmly.

"I do." He says.

There is a little silence.

"Leo, your Mum called, You need to go home." Ekanem suddenly says walking in on them. Jewel moves away from Leo.

"Okay."

"You need to unblock her. My Dad is coming back today. You can't stay here for...., "

"If Nathan's Da...,"

"He doesn't know anything," Ekanem says.

Jewel watches them confused. She couldn't even get a hint of what they were talking about.

"I'm toast."

"It was a mistake," Ekanem says.

"I didn't mean to push him. He just came..., me...., I swear." Leo tries to explain, suddenly shaking.

"I was there, Leo I have you back. Whatever happened wasn't totally your fault..., "

"But it was."

Jewel noticed Leo was trembling.

"You should talk to her. She is worried sick about you." Ekanem says slowly.

    The shock on Geraldine's face was evident. Seeing Jewel in her house. She wasn't expecting her.

They hadn't talked since they got back. She looked thinner. You could see the stress in her eyes.

"Hey." Jewel calls out to her calmly.

Her best friend was back, although not fully. But she had that satisfaction that things between them had become a little bit normal. Even though the circumstances surrounding it wasn't great.

This time around, even Jayden wasn't going to come between them. They had gone through a lot these past weeks together, to get spilt up by one sick person.

Even though he happened to be Jewel's brother, her ex, the dude who had destroyed her life. He wasn't worth their friendship. She had let far weaker things cause problems between them, this wasn't the time for another. Not at this critical moment.

"I need a place to crash. That's the simple truth." Leo says to Jayden, who leans on the wall, while he listened to him, on-call.

He had asked him, while he was sounding so dull, and got that.

He really wanted to apologise to him and didn't know how to go about it.

Leo didnt deserve the way he treated him. He was just so angry.

He transferred aggression.

"I'm really sorry about the other day. I came off way rude, you don't..., "

"Honestly, I deserved it. Let's not bring it up again. I'm not mad at you. It's human. You love your sister, it's normal. Jewel is your sister after all." Leo says calmly.
"I just wished all these wouldn't have happened."

"If wishes were horses."

There is a sudden silence.

"How did Gidi's nude get out, because I know you didn't do it." Leo suddenly asks quite inquisitive.

"I swear, I didn't. I don't even know-how. To think she and everyone would believe I did it. It was my account after all." Jayden signs.

"Come on, she is your girlfriend. I bet she know you can't do much to her. We just need to find out who did." Leo says, meanwhile Jayden groans.

"That's it. We sort of broke up."

"Broke up?" Leo asks lost.

"I sort of fucked up. I asked her to choose between me and Jason, and things..., "

"Wait, recap." Leo sounded confused.

"We broke up."

"Why will you ask her to choose between yourself and your brother. You seemed very thirsty." Leo says from the other line.

"I was so pisssed. Their closeness was getting into something else. I know I fucked up. No one will even believe I didn't do it."

"The bottom line is who did," Leo says.

"Honestly I don't know."

"The question is, who had the access to your phone and motive..., "

"The fuck."

It clicked.

"Ivy. I will call you back immediately." Jayden says putting off the call and hurrying out.

His parents finding out wasn't going to be funny.

She didn't know how to react.

She could feel her palms all sweaty.

One look at Jewel, down to Munachi. She could see the toxicity of their get together on their faces. It wasn't as though they planned this get together. It was only a mere coincidence.

"Boo?" Munachi calls outstretching. "You still have his name saved as Boo? Wow."

She sounded surprised, but Geraldine had totally forgotten to change it or delete his contact.

This was her first fight with a boyfriend, as well as a breakup. She didn't know what to do or not do.

"Hey," Jason calls out while he settles on Ashley's bed. Meanwhile, Ashley walks in with a bowl of cereal.

"This is the only thing I could find." He says giving Jason a funny look. Meanwhile, Jason rolls his eyes. He knew Ashley was simply out to annoy the hell out of him.

What part of I want real food didn't he understand?

"Ash." Jason glares.

"A beggar has no choice," Ashley smirks.

It was actually working. He thought things with Jason would have turned awkward. But he had decided not to tell Jason about the bet. Jason was never going to forgive him. He knew him that well. Though it was wrong of him. He had done too many wrong things.

After the last scandal. Especially with Nathan's expulsion and the court case, he really wanted a different part.

"How is the case going?" Ashley brings up the most awkward topic. He needed to know what was going on. Because this case was going to open a lot of shits, which he was surely involved in. If Nathan should mention he was high or something. Xavier will be dragged down. If the bet came up.
He will definitely be involved.

"The proceedings is still this week, though we heard Nathan is in com..., "

"Yes," Ashley responds suddenly remembering what Xavier told him, and their plans to go see him in the hospital.

"Is he really?" Jason asks with interest.

"So I heard," Ashley confirms. "I don't really know what happened."

"Doesn't change anything," Munachi says, meanwhile Jewel gives her a look.

If there was something she had noticed since she got in, it was Munachi's behaviour. She wasn't hiding beneath the good girl's mask anymore.

She had made it her goal to ignore her, nothing will change that fact.

"Gidi. Look, there is a mix up somewhere, Jayden could never be irresponsible. I know my brother..., "

"Your brother. It's obvious you will take his place. Gidi, someone supposed to be your friend." Munachi says.

Jewel pays her a glance. The glare was so deep. She had just interrupted her. Coming from Munachi, Jewel counted it as offensive.

"How the hell did he get this picture of yours in the first place?" Jewel asks.

"Is that supposed to be your question?" Munachi attacks.

"Look, doll baby, can you do me the favour of zipping." Jewel requested demonstrating with her lips.

"Because I'm saying the truth?"

"Where you born this stupid or do you take lessons?" Jewel suddenly asks.

"Guys," Geraldine calls out obviously tired of everything.

"Now she is insulting me for saying the truth." Munachi scoffs.

"I will ignore you so hard you will start doubting your existence." Jewel suddenly says, facing Geraldine.
"Gidi, I'm really sorry you had to go through this. Trust me, I understand the pains. I am just so confused about Jayden. Forgive me, if I'm hurting your feeling in any..., "

"He did it, it's over. I'm just waiting for my parents, the disappointment I have giving this time has a trophy attached. I just can't believe Jayden will do this to me, just because of a little fight. Someone I trusted so much." Geraldine laments.

"Thank God you dumped his ass," Munachi says.

"Wait! You both were dating?" Jewel says quite shocked. It was displayed on her face.

Geraldine's phone starts ringing again.

"Jayden I don't like this at all. You are accusing me." Ivy who sat on the bed says calmly. She wasn't properly dressed, also Jayden had barged in on her, not giving her the chance to change into something more decent.

The rage in his eyes was something she doesn't miss.

"You were the only one who had access to my room before this. Ivy, I left you and my phone open when I went to the toilet."

"Does that mean I did it? Look Jayden I don't like this at..., "

"Ivy, stop playing the game already. I know you did it. How could you, to a fellow girl?" Jayden asks quite confused.

"A slut who sends that kind of picture to a guy, what does she expect?" Ivy asks.

This sent chills into Jayden's body. He strongly wanted to believe Ivy wasn't capable of such. He really wanted to believe it.

"That bitch came from nowhere and stole you away from me."

The anger in her voice was evident.

"That's just a little taste of what she would get for stealing what's mine," Ivy says, meanwhile Jayden stares back at her, wondering if she actually owned him.

"Do you know the big scandal this will cause for me, not to talk about her?" Jayden asks.

"Maybe a conscience," Jayden says very disappointed.

  Ashley was low key anticipating the day. Cherish was supposed to be back today. He was certainly going to get to chat with her online or call her.

He had even thought of sneaking in, but after the last encounter, he thought twice.

"Ashley, call your father."

It was his Mum again, most times he wondered how his Dad managed to tolerate her. Because if this was how all pregnant women behaved, he was certainly going to pack his things and run away from his wife.

"Dad said he has an important me..., "

"Call your father." She instructs.

Most times she wondered why she didn't do it herself. Always getting him to do it.

One look at her tummy. Low key he was excited and terrified at the same time. Excited to have new siblings, and terrified about a baby being at home.

"I want to get my phone."

"I can see, your phone is in my stomach." She hisses.

    Immediately she got inside the room, she throws her phone on the bed. She was on her way back from Jayden's room. But it was locked from the inside, and he didn't open up.

She wasn't only disappointed but mad a him.

He released Geraldine's picture, what kind of monster would do that?

Not the brother she knew. Things were getting so messed up.

Jayden was anything, but this? She was still finding it difficult to believe it. But it was posted from his account. He was the only one who had the picture too, so it points back to him.

He sent a text message. She stares at it for a while, before putting away her phone.

Suddenly seeing a call from her Dad, she remembers she hadn't called him back. It was Geraldine's driver that brought her back.

She couldn't risk telling her Dad to come pick her up from Geraldine's place. The place he dropped her off was Ekanem's and expected her to call him when she was done.

She didn't want to create more unnecessary arguments.

     Jayden stares and Leo who sat down recklessly on the floor. They were currently on a video call.

He noticed the room he was in, was oddly different from his.

"This is something sorted out facially. She won't pick up your calls. Neither will she believe what you have to say if she eventually does." Leo says, meanwhile Jayden only listened attentively.

"Jayden?" Leo calls out snapping his fingers.

"Leo?" A familiar voice calls out. Jayden doesn't miss Munachi who pops her head, like she wanted to see who he was talking to.

"Hi."

She looked too surprised to see him.

"Hey." Jayden was also surprised.

He had seen the chemistry between them, also he and Leo had talked about her, but he didn't know they were dating.

"I'm crashing at her place for a while," Leo says like he was sort of explaining himself, although he didn't need to.

"Oh."

That was the only thing Jayden could say. He felt a little bit comfortable when she was finally out of the side.

"Facial," Leo repeats.

"Come in," Jewel says immediately she got the slight knock on her door.

In no time, Jayden's head pops up, then part of his body. Then his full figure.

Jewel is surprised to see him in this part of the house, as she would choose to call it.

Jayden rarely left his room, not to talk about finding himself in someone else's room.

Unusual Jayden.

Seeing him, all the yells she had practised in her head was gone.

"Can I get Geraldine's home address?"

"Why on earth did you post her nudes Jayden?"

"What?"

"Huh, what? Her address!" Jewel repeats immediately she realised the question he asked.

"You believe I am capable of such." He looked disappointed.

"It was posted from your account?" Jewel defends.

"Even so."

"Jayden, it points to you. I only hope Mum and Dad hasn't heard about it. Because you are toast. Really."

"I DIDNT," Jayden says, looking exhausted. "She is my girlfriend for God's sake." He paused. "Was."

Especially with the way Jewel was looking at him.

"I will text it to you," Jewel says calmly.

"Okay, thanks."

Jayden walks out with uttering another word, typical Jayden.

Her phone suddenly beeps, she pushes it closer to her.

    The way he carried her up like a baby, she chuckles in his arms. You could tell she was trying to avoid anyone hearing them.

Ashley had done the unexpected. Snuck in through her window. He only hoped the neighbours hadn't seen him, climbing up.

This sneaking in was something he was used to. Though he cut his hand in the process. He almost fell, and he knew the damage it would have done. Especially from that height.

The fact he had waited for dusk before trying to get in.

"My Mum and Dad are home." She whispers.

"Lock the door," Ashley instructs.
