Lol😂😂😂, I know a lot of us wanna fry me now😂 I promised a Christmas update and failed. So sorry, I was so busy, I had a lot to do not to exclude babysitting some of my cousins😂😂😂 it wasn't easy, those children wanted to kill me with a headache.

Jayden sits down, besides Leo, the game was about to start, funny enough, he wasn't looking forward to it. He was that boy, who wasn't conversant with anything which wasn't science.

He wasn't a sports person, Jason was the only one in the family who was interested in sports. There Dad did watch the games, but he didn't see him as a sport person. He basically just watched it as a means of entertainment, which Jayden did neither.

"Leo!"

A voice that Jayden was sure he hadn't heard before calls out. Looking up his gaze falls on a not so familiar face.

Basically, the person in question was a student of the opposing team, he was dressed in their sports uniform, which meant one thing, he was playing the game.

"Chase," Leo calls out smiling. He looked surprised but also happy to see him.

Jayden observes the guy in question. He seemed a little bit taller, he noted the way he held onto a girl possessively. And the girl was obviously a student of the guy's school. Also, Jayden finds the fact that the guy's name is Chase, or maybe it is a nickname; he assumes, because the name Chase was rare for a Nigerian.

"I have been watching you from a distance, my guts did tell me you are the one." Chase smiles out, exchanging a handshake with Leo, using his free arm. "So the opposing team is your school?" Chase asks an obvious question.

"Yes!" Leo responds slowly, turning his gaze to look at the girl with chase. We notice the girl looks shy...

Meanwhile, Chase slowly turns to Jayden, before turning to Leo.

"Is he your friend?" Chase asks turning to Leo, meanwhile Jayden relaxes in his seat.

"Yeah, Jayden. Sorry!" Leo says quite confused. "Jayden, Chase! Chase Jayden!" He says introducing them both.

"Nice! This is my girlfriend Lily!" Chase introduces the girl who did seem very uncomfortable in their midst.

Meanwhile, Jayden looks straight at her, their eyes meeting. He doesn't break it. He stares into those eyes for a moment, he didn't miss how uncomfortable she looks while trying to break the eye contact, it was obvious he was freaking her out.

"Hey, Lily!" Leo smiles at her. Meanwhile, she struggles and finally gives him a small smile.

"I thought you are a sport person!" Chase suddenly asks.

If there was something Jayden noted, it was the fact Chase was quite the inquisitive type.

Leo chuckles.

"I am, but not part of the team for a reason," Leo responds honestly. Meanwhile, Chase smiles and he doesn't ask anything further. More like he doesn't want to pry.

Jayden could remember vividly when he and Leo had this conversation, last term, and he was all about not being able to work with the captain, who he later found out was his brother.
There was something definitely up with them.

"I need to run along." Chase suddenly says. It was obvious the game was about to start.

"Good luck!" Leo says and smiles out.

"Thank you! Nice meeting you Jayden!" Chase suddenly says to Jayden who nods his head, before running along with his girlfriend.

"I met him during my therapy section." Leo suddenly says, reminding Jayden he was on therapy, and it made him wonder why chase was also seeing a therapist.

Immediately Leo got up, Jayden follows him. He had already seen enough, the game was tiring as it was, and he also had something else in mind.

He tries his best to get out without worrying anyone. After successfully doing it, he stops, immediately he noticed where Leo was headed to, wasn't it supposed to be the changing room for the players?

On a second thought, he follows him. He wasn't going to let him smoke if that was what he was going in there to do, he had successfully done it in two attempts and had made up his mind to always pest Leo, whenever he tried that near him. To the extent Leo started avoiding doing it close to him, but he wasn't still going to let him be. He was going to continue trying.

Although it made him see what he didn't want to see the other day. Neither he nor Leo had spoken about what they saw. To top it all, he hadn't caught Jewel since then. Seemed like she was dodging him with all her might, and she was doing a good job with that.

Leo was a messed up kid, he was his friend, but he didn't want Jewel to get mixed up with his shit. To top it up, she was also dating his brother.

Jayden watches Leo enter, without being stopped, more like everyone attention was at the court.

He joins him immediately. Once he gets in, he uses his eyes to look around, he didn't catch any sight of him. He gradually looks around the locker room for a while, before following his instinct, to walk further. There was no way, Leo would have disappeared.

Hearing the sound of running water, he hastens his steps. On getting to the place the sound was coming from, he stops immediately he sights Leo splashing water on his face.

The door has been wide open, did aid him to get a clear view of the washroom.

It was obvious Leo hadn't noticed him yet. He watches him silently until he turns in his direction.

"Jayden!" He calls out, obviously shocked.

"Hey!" Jayden responds slowly, trying to clear the tension.

"Didn't notice you followed me then here," Leo says slowly, turning to Jayden with a suspicious look. "You came to make sure I wasn't doing it, look I didn't come here with any of those stuffs!" Leo says slowly.

At first, Jayden wanted to deny it, but he was right.

"Honestly, Leo that thing is harmful, you might not realize it now. But the damage it's doing to your body." Jayden pauses, he couldn't hold back anymore.

Leo just smiles.

"You don't need to worry, I am fine." Leo chuckles.

"You aren't fine," Jayden says fully aware of the fact he rarely slept at night, and when he did, he would wake up with a series of nightmares after some time.

Leo needed help.

"I am fine!" Leo chuckles and starts walking out, meanwhile Jayden follows him, he gets to a distance and stop. On getting there, Jayden noticed why he did.

Nathan stood in front of Leo. Jayden watches both of them stare at each other. That moment he saw the resemblance. Also, he wondered why Nathan wasn't on the court while the match was still ongoing.

"You came!" Nathan says in a carefree manner, with a smile, meanwhile Leo just stared back at him. "You shouldn't have left in the first place, but we are still doing fine without you, as you could see!" Nathan says patting Leo at the back, before heading to one of the lockers which was definitely his.

Jayden expected Leo to start walking away, but he doesn't, instead he turns to Nathan.

"You weren't that good you know." He says slowly.

"Coming from you, I doubt," Nathan says and laughs. You could tell the laughter was a mock. "Also expect your dad soon, I already spoke to him," Nathan says in a carefree manner.

Jayden noticed how Leo facial expression changed, more like Nathan had stroke a nerve.

"Why don't you always mind your business," Leo asks in anger.

"Your business is my business, have you forgotten?" Nathan asks with a mock tone. Meanwhile, Jayden stares at both boys quite lost.

Leo almost gets hit, by one of the students of TAHS, who looked very angry as he advanced towards Nathan in anger.

Jayden had never seen someone this angry before, the boy looked like he could kill someone at that moment.

"I saw you, but I am trying to keep my cool that's why I am not gonna act, because if I do, I swear to Allah who made me, blood will spill like its eid," Tayo says immediately he gets to where Nathan stood.

"But I haven't brought her pant to you yet," Nathan says and chuckles slowly.

Now, this statement did cause tension in the air.

"You bastard!" Tayo says. The glare in his eyes were hard and he looked like he was about to initiate world war three. The unexpectedly, he shocked Jayden when he threw a punch on Nathans face. Making Nathan stagger while holding his face, it was very obvious he didn't see that coming.

That moment, Nathan returned the punch, with a kick to the leg. In the process, Tayo brushes him and the both of them falls to the floor. On trying to get up, Tayo punches him again, he kicks him in the process, matching him. Tayo lets out a smile and punches his face again.

All this seemed like a movie, as Jayden watches both boys, quite confused. That moment Leo walks down to them and tries to separate, but gets a punch from Tayo.

"Mind your fucking business bastard, no one invited you here," Tayo growls, before facing Nathan again. He tries to kick Nathan in his abdomen but before he could Nathan catches his leg and starts dragging him in circles, but he throws him a punch.

Both boys keep punching each other like the beast, while Jayden watched from a corner. He wasn't involving himself in this. If there was something he was very good at, it was minding his business, when they get tired, no one was going to ask them to stop. He only felt bad for Leo who was clearly nursing the blow he got.

Jayden suddenly gets alarmed when Tayo runs to one of the seats, grabs scissors and aims towards Nathan, who seemed unaware, before he could scream, It had been stabbed into Nathans right leg.

The room suddenly filled with the loud scream of Nathan, the fact he dragged the scissors out was another terrifying sight. Suddenly a voice from nowhere begins to yell, Jayden notice it is Xavier. He didn't know when he'd gotten there but all he knows was that Xavier screams was enough to alarm the whole building, including the court.

Jayden stares at the bloody scissors on the floor. Before he could comprehend what had gone down, someone else was picking the scissors up. Shocked he watches Leo run after Tayo who was clearly heading to his locker, like nothing happened. What made Jayden gasps is when Leo stabs Tayo on the arm.

Jayden moves back slowly, he had never been this shocked in his life.

"Bastard!" Leo calls out.

What shocked Jayden the more was when Tayo burst into laughter.

This time some students were already forcing their way in, making Jayden wonder how they found out what was going on, especially with the shouts. Then it clicked to him, Xavier screams could have called them down.

And the fact, Tayo was just laughing like a psychopath was traumatising enough. Also, this was the first time he was seeing this other side of Leo.

He couldn't believe that was Leo, he seemed very different, the fact he didn't look remorseful was another case.

Tayo on the other hand rests on one of the changing room lockers and with a smirk on his face, he locked eyes with Jayden who couldn't break eye contact. Then he removed the scissors from his arms and threw it towards Jayden who was quick enough to evade it because if he hadn't he might have lost one of his eyes. Immediately Tayo throws the scissors, he stared at him wondering why he'd done that especially when he'd done nothing but to mind his business all through.

At that moment, he knew the guy wasn't normal and he was proven right when he ran out of the locker room with a bleeding arm, pushing the curious crowds out of the way.

They had successfully traumatized him, if that was what they wanted.

"What is going on here? Jesus!" An adult who Jayden didn't recognise asks. He was clearly shocked. Deep down Jayden was happy an adult was involved now.

"Everyone get back!" Now, this was Mr John's voice. He was trying to lure the students out of there, meanwhile Nathan sat at a place, groaning in pain

Jayden watches the principal make an announcement. No one was talking about the competition anymore, but what had occurred there. No one cared about the score anymore.

The anger on their principal face was very evident.

"This is very disappointing!" He says. "An Ss3 student, the DSP boy, this is a very shameful thing. Involved in a fight, when you guys are supposed to promote the good name of the school, you go out misbehaving, I haven't been this disappointed." He says slowly.

"Mrs Ugu, please take over." The principal says, now getting down the podium.

Jayden uses the medium to look around the office. This was definitely the first time he was in the principals office. He didn't think a day like this would come. Not just for something great, but for a fight.

Nathan was seated, obviously because of his leg, while Leo stood a few steps away from him. A young lady, who claimed to be their mother sat, staring at the principal directly.

The lady wasn't only young, she didn't look like someone who had given birth to such grown boys. He wouldn't augure, his mom already, was a perfect example.

"I just had to cancel whatever appointment I had, which was very important." She says slowly. It was obvious she had no time to waste.

"This is very important, Madam!" The principal explains.

Jayden just stood there like a statue, he saw this coming, he was definitely going to be the witness. This was the third time he was questioned since the incident. And he still had the same thing to say. Everything that happened.

"You son here, stabbed a student, not from our school though. I don't know if you heard about the basketball tournament! We are very lucky, the police didn't get involved. " The principal says honestly.

"It's all over the news." She responds slowly.

"And I also know how busy you are trying to clean up your boys images. Trying so hard to get them off the table. The scandal has happened already." The principal says, he obviously knew what he was talking about.

"They are minors!" She defends.

"We both now, Nathan is already eighteen!" The principal says slowly. "He got into a serious fight, and Leonardo here had to stab the student." The principal explains.

"He stabbed Nathan first!" Leo defends. Surprising Jayden. There was a lot about Leo he definitely didn't know. He couldn't believe he could defend himself in front of the principal.

"They are kids! These Things are bound to happen, I'm sure it's all a mistake. I just hope we can talk this through!" Their mum says, obviously trying to put an end to the whole issue.

"That doesn't mean you will stab him!" The principal says with an authoritative look. "You are just so lucky, I am surprised though, I never knew you to be a trouble maker." He says slowly.

"I am so sorry sir, we should settle this calmly. I am only hoping this wouldn't affect their schooling here. Don't forget Mr Otedola's donations to this school!" Their mum says, interesting Jayden.

"I haven't forgotten that. This is a serious issue, that was why you were invited. Nathan himself is the DSP boy, what example are we setting. According to what the other boy said, this was clearly because of a girl." The principal says. "Due to our school rules, they ought to be suspended. But because of Mr Otedola, we decided not to, but if this should happen again, we would be forced to..., "

"We both know, this hasn't happened before, they haven't done anything like this before, neither any fights or anything. Please give them that benefit." She says pleading.

"I am just still shocked, at how you are capable of doing such and still not feeling remorseful." The principal says to Leo. Even Jayden had the same thoughts too.

Immediately they got out of the office, Jayden walks alongside Leo, surprisingly, he even ignored his mum, when she asked him to join her in the parking lot.

Jayden noticed a lot of things was going on between mother and siblings.

Jayden stops when Leo enters the prep hall. Although classes were going on currently, he followed him, deep down he wanted them to talk. They hadn't said anything concerning what happened to each other, since they got back.

Leo takes a seat, Jayden joins him too, leaving some space between them.

There is silence.

Total silence!

"He stabbed Nathan first!" Leo mutters like he was trying to defend himself.

"He stabbed Nathan!" Leo responds. "How dare him do that?" Leo asks. "He could have killed him!" Leo says slowly.

"You could have killed him too," Jayden says slowly, meanwhile Leo pauses.

He suddenly burst into tears, shocking Jayden. Who just sat speechless.

"I can't lose another sibling! She died, Nathan can't also die." Leo says. " I don't know what came over me, I wasn't thinking. I could have killed someone." Leo says slowly, he suddenly stops. "He deserved it!" Now Leo was smiling.

This simple gesture scared the hell out of Jayden.

Leo wasn't okay upstairs.

He didn't want to believe it, but he had seen enough for one day. Leo was slowly losing it.

The way he was acting wasn't funny at all.

Leo suddenly cleans his eyes and lets out a smile.

"Nathan really deserved what he got." He chuckles.

"Leo!" Jayden calls out quietly. He couldn't believe Leo just switched mood that instant, someone who looked down, was suddenly bubbly.

"That's what he gets for always going after peoples girl, he is just so found of that," Leo says slowly. Meanwhile, Jayden doesn't respond, he only stares back at Leo.

"The other guy also deserved it, they both deserved what they got," Leo says slowly, meanwhile Jayden stares at him, his mouth hanging.

Jewel watches him from a distance, while he walked alongside with a woman, who was obviously his mum, although she didn't get to see her properly. She couldn't imagine the pain he was passing through right now.

There were different rumours, she didn't know which one to believe about what really happened in the locker room.

Some persons says Nathan stabbed the boy and he stabbed him back, some said the boy was actually the one who stabbed Nathan, while he only returned the favour.

They hadn't really spoken, she did chide herself for being such a bad girlfriend, although their relationship was obviously crumbling.

"Jewel." She gets caught off from her rivalry. She hadn't even noticed when he advanced towards her.

"Hey!" She calls out slowly, quite uncomfortable, especially when he pulled her into his arms, not minding they were in public.

"Is the hips getting bigger!" Nathan teases, pulling her to a side, meanwhile she lets out a small chuckle.

"Sorry about your leg!" Jewel suddenly says, meanwhile Nathan holds her progressively while they head to the cafeteria. The bell had just been rung.

If there was something she struggled with, it was been comfortable. This was the first time he was actually acting this cosy, in front of people, who weren't their classmates.

"It will heal soon." He says and smiles, a smile which stirred something in her. A smile which made her blush. Nathan and giving her those tingling sensations.

Her gaze suddenly falls on Leo whose company was easy to guess. Not just anyone her brother.

The sudden guilt she felt at that moment was out of the world. Especially with the way he looked at her. What triggered her attention the more was when Munachi got into their midst and held unto Leo.

Now the question she had been asking herself for a while popped up.

What the hell was going on between them?

Whatever she felt that moment wasn't just anger, she didn't like the idea of Leo giving the attention he gave her to another girl. She couldn't share Leo.

Deep down she knew she had no right over him, she had a boyfriend, and they only hooked up, without a name to whatever it was they were doing. But she couldn't stand the idea of sharing him with any other girl, not to talk about Munachi, she despised everything about her.

"Let's Meet during prep, Ss1 block," Nathan whispers slowly and chuckles. He suddenly stops walking, making her follow suit. "I am really sorry for being an ass lately, I promise to become a better boyfriend from now on!" Nathan says with a serious look on his face.

It was so emotional.

"Aw!" He whimpers in pain.

"Sorry!" She says slowly. Deep down she knew she wasn't helping matters too, she was the worst girlfriend anyone could have at this stage.

How could she keep up with her boyfriend thinking she is a virgin after doing it with someone else. She was so scared of Nathan finding out. She couldn't imagine losing him.

"You played well, really! I am not mocking you." Geraldine says, truly honest. Jason was a good player, she did admire that. He also played so well in the tournament. But he looked like he thought she was teasing, with the way he was laughing and responding to her.

"You are just whining me ni!" He laughs.

"No!" Geraldine defends with a smile.

"I love basketball!" He admits.

"I don't need anyone to tell me that." She says exactly what she thought of at that moment.

"Somebody is back to this boring school." Jason hisses, obviously walking to no place in mind. "How wish we could just finish everything soon." Jason sucks, meanwhile Geraldine just smiles out.

Her gaze meets a familiar face, which just walks past her, like she wasn't noticed or something. This act brings a question to her mind, which she voices out without thinking twice.

"I haven't seen you and Jayden talking, honestly you both act more like strangers than siblings," Geraldine says slowly, meanwhile Jason smiles slowly.

"He likes his private space, and we all do well to let him have it. Not just me, even my parents do it too." Jason admits.

"It's weird," Geraldine says slowly.

"Whenever we get home, he is always in his room, never comes out, or else he is forced to by my mum!" Jason says. "It's not like we don't talk, we do talk, but just small talks."

Cherish rest her head on the desk, while she flips through the novel which was placed on her lap.

This noise from her class was alarming, she was sure it was going to attract a senior soon.

She reads the novel, trying so hard to avoid distractions. Suddenly the class turns quiet. This picked her attention immediately. You could hear the sound of a pin drop at that moment.

"Get up!"

She did recognise the voice immediately, wondering what was going on she seats up immediately, only for her gaze to fall on Ashley.

He wasn't smiling. This was the scary Ashley, the bully. The terrifying Ashley she used to know.

"Get up!" He says staring at her.

"Me?" She asks confused.

"No me!" He says, scaring her. She didn't miss a little smirk on his face. "Up!"

She didn't know when she got her ass up.

"Please, excuse me!" She excuses herself from her seatmate. The same way she was getting out. That same time, he was pulling her by her hand. She felt chills run through her when he held her hand.

"I don't want to hear any more noise coming from the classroom." He says pulling her by the left hand. Cherish doesn't utter a word, she follows his lead, till he was out of the classroom.

He keeps pulling her with him, till they get into the empty music room.

Cherish walks in slowly, when she heard the door slam, not only that, he locks it with the key, before turning to her.

Her heart skipped at that moment.

"Are you still mad at me?" It came slow but steady. "I missed you!" Ashley says pulling her close to him.

The one thing she had in mind, was for no teacher to walk into them, even though the room was locked. Ss1 to Ss3 students did make use of the music room.

"Cherish!" He calls out affectionately. "Didn't you miss me?" He chuckles, making her release a shy smile involuntarily.

He suddenly whispers something into her ears, which she doesn't hear.

"What did you say?" She asks slowly.

"Can I kiss you?" He asks plainly, now not breaking eye contact. The room suddenly seemed too hot.

No one utters a word to the other for a while.

She suddenly does the last thing anyone would think of. She drops a chaste kiss on his lips.

Ashley himself couldn't hide the shock on his face, while she looks away shyly.

Jayden adjusts on his seat, immediately the teacher announces they were having the first test.

The first question was how was it possible?

This was waec term, and the test was irrelevant.

According to one of the teachers, it was a form of mock exams.

He blinks twice immediately he catches her, the speed he used in looking away, wasn't funny at all.
He couldn't help but wonder, how long she had been staring.

Jewel stares at the further maths assignment in front of her in frustration. It wasn't funny, this was almost her sixth attempt, still nothing.

She was all alone in the empty classroom she always came to have her privacy In.

It was prep time, no one had your time, they were busy with themselves. She hadn't noticed Nathan too. It was very obvious, he didn't come for prep, she had gotten tired of waiting already, and left.

Staring at the assignment, she hisses cursing the person who invented further maths, people hadn't understood maths properly, where were they furthering to.

Suddenly feeling a presence, she turns immediately. There was this vibe she got, like there was someone else in that room with her.

Lo and behold, she was right.

To say her heart leapt for joy immediately she sighted him, it was an understatement. She held herself back from jumping on him at that moment.

"I thought you would never notice, " He smirks.

"Can you please leave!" She says trying to form anger. Meanwhile, he only chuckles. "Shift!" He says taking a seat, very close to her, not giving her a private space.

"You are always making the same mistake." He smiles immediately he examined her book. Jewel sits stiff, when and noticed, his shoulder was touching her. She didn't want to move, she loved what she was feeling.

"This is what you do!" He says and starts explaining, while he solves, Jewel stares at the book, giving him a solid thirty minutes. When he was done, he turns to her. "Do you understand?"

The fact she felt she had wasted thirty minutes of his time was an understatement, she had no idea of whatever he was talking about. Everything seemed like Latin to her.

"No!" She responds honestly, partially embarrassed. The fact he only adjusted and pulled the book closer to him, without judging her with his eyes, like she had expected him to do, did warm her up.

"You can always use this formula." He says pulling the book closer, slowly explaining it to her.

She suddenly cuts him off.

"The truth of the matter is, I still don't understand." She says honestly.

He suddenly seats up.

"How are you going to write the test then?" He asks slowly.

"I will do what I can do and submit. Before now Gidi used to help, but we don't talk anymore." She confesses slowly.

Meanwhile, he only stares back at her.

"It ain't that difficult. Just give it your...., "

"To you!" She smiles. "That's what you all say." She says, meanwhile his eyes followed her moving lips.

He looked confused for a moment and suddenly looks away.

Jewel who was noticed what just happened keeps mute fiddling with both fingers. Things between them, couldn't become normal.

Trying to act like normal people, like nothing was between them, wasn't easy.

She wanted him to touch her, the way he used to. It was naughty, but that was what she was feeling.

Someone who had promised God and herself, she wasn't going to misbehave again, but he was staring something inside of her.

"Maths is not difficult. If you concentrate, you will learn." He says slowly.

"That's what you guys say." She says slowly.

The bell suddenly brings reminds them they were late.

"Prep is over!" He says while she nods her head. Immediately he gets up, she follows suit.

I don't have much to say than, how was this chapter, as we say goodbye to characters from SIT.

Immediately I opened my eyes, I sat up quickly, I wasn't myself, couldn't sleep. I could sense something going on, while I coiled myself on my bunk.

Noises and screams bring me to reality, the sounds made weren't normal sounds. I quietly turn to my wristwatch slowly. It was 1 AM at the dot.

This had been going on since I joined this school, at exactly this time every night. Sometimes cries, screams or casual talk.

It would seem like students, but no it wasn't. Who would be out by the window side, by the time?
