"Fighting positions." Johnny says as the students get into their stance.

He starts to walk around before he steps behind Hawk. He kicks at his foot causing him to stumble, "Stabilize your base, Hawk. Keep your balance, full rotation when you strike." He throws a punch at the air

"Yes, Sensei!" Hawk says as he copies Johnny, "Hai!"

Johnny continues to walk around as he turns to a student who flinches instantly. "Did you just flinch, Virgin?" He says as he turns to another student and faux jumps at him. The student flinches. "Holy shit, we got a room full of flinchers."

"Yes, Sensei!" The class says as Jamie furrows her brows

"That was not a question!" Johnny says as he looks around the class, "Raise your hand if you've never been punched in the face."

Most of the students raise their hands as Jamie's brows shoot up in surprise.

"Put your hands down. All your lives, you've been avoiding fights so you don't break your nose or lose a tooth. This concussion nonsense." Johnny says as he makes his way to the front of the class, "So there's only one solution, and that is before you leave this dojo, each and every one of you is going to take a punch, very hard, to the face." He nods

"Miss Robinson." He looks at Aisha, "Line them up. Unflinch this group." He walks towards his office.

"Yes, Sensei." She says uncertain. She turns to Miguel who slightly nods as she stands in front of the first student. She sighs deeply before punching him in the face.

Jamie closes her eyes tightly as she hears the student groan in pain.

Miguel had gone off to Johnny's office a couple of minutes ago and Jamie couldn't stand to sit here and watch Aisha punch kids in the face.

"There's no way in hell." She groans under her breath as she stands up and makes her way to Johnny's office. Before she can make it, Hawk lands at her feet after being punched.

"He's okay." Aisha says

"I'm okay." Hawk says quickly before getting up

Jamie stands in the doorway as Johnny and Miguel look at her, "Need something ?"

"I'm not getting punched in the face. So, if that's gonna be a problem, then my lessons end here." Jamie says

"What's wrong? Don't think you can take a punch?"

"I can, but I'm not going to." She scoffs

"Jamie." Miguel whispers. She looks over at him with raised brows, "Sensei, I'll talk to her."

"I don't need you to talk to me Miguel. I know whether or not I wanna take a punch to the face." She says rolling her eyes. Miguel's eyes widen at her as she tilts her head at him.

"What's your name, kid?" Johnny asks

"Jamie."

"Last name?" He asks

"Jackson." She says with a slight nod

"Well, Ms. Jackson, you don't wanna take a punch? You don't have to." He shrugs as he takes a step closer to Jamie, "You coming to me and telling me what you're not going to do is what Cobra Kai needs unlike a class full of flinchers." He says as he points outside of the office.

Miguel's face holds confusion as he looks over at Jamie.

"Is this the girl you're talking about Diaz?" Johnny smirks

Miguel's eyes go wide and his face turns red as he starts to stutter, "No, no, no not her. Different girl." He chuckles awkwardly. Johnny shrugs as he goes to sit back at his desk.

He looks back over at Jamie who purses her lips. She turns to go back out to class as Miguel stands there. She knew exactly who Johnny was talking about.

Jamie stands at her locker as she switches her books for her next class.

"Jamie!" She hears before she's nearly knocked over by a hug

"Holy shit, Sienna." She chuckles

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. You're at karate 24/7."

"I know. I'm sorry. I'm still trying to learn all of it."

"You'll get it, don't worry." Sienna says, "So, what about Miguel?"

"What about Miguel?"

"You're only in karate because he asked you. You haven't made a move yet?"

"Why would I? He's shown no interest in me that way." She says as she shuts her locker

"Don't even. You literally gave him your number-"

Jamie cuts her off, "For karate."

"He even walked you home the other night-"

"We live in the same complex."

"He's practically in love with you." Sienna finishes as they start to walk to class

"You're delusional." Jamie scoffs as she looks ahead

"Maybe, but I know what I see." She says, "And what I see is two people who are madly in love with each other." She says dramatically

"And what I see is him falling head over heels for Sam." Jamie says

"What?" Sienna says as she looks at Jamie

She points towards the lockers as Sienna sees Sam and Miguel smiling at each other. Sam walks away as Miguel watches her with a slight smile.

"No way." Sienna says under her breath.

Jamie continues walking as Sienna stands there for a couple of seconds looking between Miguel and Sam.

She sighs deeply as she quickly follows behind Jamie.

"I need somewhere romantic, but not too romantic." Miguel says as he, Aisha, Jamie, and Eli sit in a circle before karate class starts. Aisha rolls her eyes as Jamie sighs.

"You could take her to get tattoos." Hawk says

"What?" Miguel says as Aisha chuckles

"I know a guy, just hooked me up with this bad boy." Hawk says as he stands up. He turns and takes off his shirt to reveal a huge tattoo of a hawk on his back

"Oh!" Aisha says

"Oh my god." Jamie mutters

"Oh, shit." Miguel says

"That is badass." Aisha nods

"Right?" Hawk says as he turns his head back slightly, "14 hours in the chair." He finishes before he looks in the mirror and flexes. Jamie laughs as she shakes her head.

"Wait, are your parents okay with that?" Aisha asks hesitantly

"Oh, they have no idea." He says quickly, "Definitely going to have to wear a T-shirt until college. Probably longer. Please don't tell them." He says as he sits back down

"Uh, any other suggestions?" Miguel says changing the subject back to Sam.

He looks over towards Jamie. She doesn't notice as she keeps her eyes on the floor. He then looks over to Aisha.

"Don't look at me. Sam and I used to be friends. We're not anymore." She says matter-of-factly

"Okay, but I need your help." Miguel pleads

Aisha looks towards Jamie who looks back at her with a look in her eyes. "Fine, um.." She says, "I know that she likes chocolates and astronomy."

Miguel smiles, "I could work with that."

"Banned?" Johnny yells, "What are you talking about?" Everyone looks over as Miguel gets up and jogs towards the office.

Aisha and Hawk look at each other as Jamie looks back down to start stretching again.

"You okay?" Aisha asks

Jamie looks up and sees Hawk and Aisha staring back at her. She shrugs, "I'm fine."

"You don't look fine. You look like a kicked puppy." He says as Jamie groans

"Thanks for that." She says sarcastically

"Is it about Miguel?" Aisha tries

"Why would it be about Miguel?" Jamie scoffs

Aisha smiles softly, "Because anytime he talks about Sam you get quiet and your face drops."

"I just don't like Sam." Jamie says as she stretches in another position

"Yeah, me either, but your look is different."

Jamie sighs as she looks at Aisha who raises her brows in a way saying you know i'm right. She turns to Hawk who shrugs with a smirk on his face before he starts stretching again.

"I hate the both of you." She huffs as Hawk and Aisha chuckle at her

"Have a good night." Jamie smiles at the little girl as she hands her a stuffed animal. As the family walks away, Jamie sighs.

She turns to sit on her stool as she watches people walk back and forth, giving the occasional smile to anyone who looked her way. She pulls out her phone to text Sienna back as she hears giggling. She didn't think anything of it until she hears a familiar voice.

"Boom!"

She looks up and her heart drops. She sees Miguel and Sam standing there with huge smiles on their face.

"All right, this is a lot. Let's see, you could get 15 necklaces, an eraser, or 37 lamps." Miguel says looking down at the case full of prizes as Sam chuckles.

Sam looks up and points at the stuffed octopus hanging on the wall, "I want that guy."

Jamie walks over to stand in front of them, "Which one?"

Miguel and Sam look at over at her,"Oh, hey." Miguel smiles, "I didn't know you worked here."

"Yeah. Which one did you want?" She asks pointing at Sam before her ring covered hand falls back to the case

"Oh, um," Sam stammers, "The octopus please." She smiles slightly

Jamie reaches to grab the octopus. Miguel turns to Sam who keeps her eyes on Jamie. He looks back to Jamie with furrowed brows.

"Here you go." She says as she hands the toy to Sam over the counter.

"Thanks." She says as she takes it. Sam turns to Miguel who grabs the toys head to feel it.

"Is he fluffy? Oh, he's pretty fluffy, yeah." He says as he trails off. Sam smiles up at him as Miguel looks in her eyes. Jamie's breath hitches as she looks away. "Yeah, all right." Miguel starts as he backs away, "So, uh.."

"You ready, let's go."

"See you later, Jamie." Miguel says. Jamie nods as she looks down. Miguel's smile falters slightly, but quickly picks up, "Okay, where are we going?" He says as he and Sam start to walk away.

Jamie sighs as she slumps back down on her stool. Her hands cover her face before slowly sliding down.
