The Truth Already Known
It has been about 4 days and me along with my knew group of "Arabians Knights" finally made our way to the town. After such a long and difficult trip through the endless desert we have finally made it to the town. What none of them knew was the truth though...
The hard truth...
"Where are the people?" Tao asks looking around with furrowed eyebrows.
"It's so desolate here," Sehun looks over at the buildings with boarded up windows and entrances.
There wasn't a single sign of life. I hug myself as I continue to walk on without them taking in the lifelessness and emptiness of this town. People had either left or are too apathetic to continue living. After many studies with Ja'far and them I have learned a lot how the Kou Empire. There are some that are doing well off but most towns that got caught up in the war for power were left aside. Nothing more. Nothing less than land.
The lives that once lived here don't matter to them.
"I wonder what happened? Everything seems fine but all left untouched?" Kai questioned.
"Don't be fooled," I said abruptly making them all look over at me. I stop and pull out my knife cutting off a rope around a batch of barrels in an alley between two tall buildings I assume were once homes.
"Tao I need you to toss one of those barrels into that boarded window," I point to a boarded window right next to me.
"Why should I take orders from you?" He snaps.
"We've known her for four days Tao. Just do it," Kai scolds Tao who's eyes widen in surprise but he knows he can't defy his best friend and leader's orders. Tao clicks his tongue giving in and grabs one of the barrels and throws it straight into the window. Once the boards were smashed from the impact of the barrel Kai quickly covers Diae's eyes.
"Hey! What's wrong?! Why did you cover my eyes?!" She shouts.
"Just be a good girl for a moment and keep them closed please."
"But why?" The girl unknowingly asked.
"Just keep them closed," He begs earning a hesitate nod from her. As he took his hand off her eyes she held them closed.
There in that dark abandoned room were two dead figures. No...
Three innocent dead lives...
A little boy
A little girl
And a baby held between their arms...
Dead...
"What in the hell?" Chan covers his mouth in shock.
"Oh gods..." Baekhyun stares at them with a sadden gleam in his gentle pink eyes.
"The Kou empire..." I start to speak as I walk around towards the entrance and I kick down the boards.
"They have no care for the life that was here."
I approach the terrible sight of three dried up dead children laying on the ground.
"The have no care for none of it. Which is what makes war so terrible," I state as I look around at there destroyed home glaring in disgust and sympathy.
"But why would they do this? Why not let them live? They were just kids," Luhan asked.
There was a moment of silence. I felt tears stream down my eyes as I look back at all of them.
"I didn't know Arabian knights were so ignorant of this ruthless war that take and keep taking away lives. Every single day. Someone is suffering from this pointless war. Most of them are already dead. Because this war is pointless. People senselessly being tossed around and being used or affected by the war only to die..." I grab Luhan by the collar of his shirt.
"I guess that you already knew... because you seem unaffected. Or did you just not know how cruel the real world is..."

I went to go hide in a isolated building and let out my tears with Diae by my side. She didn't know I was crying but she didn't question it. She just cried with me. Diae is still so young but she knows sympathy. All of the guys went to gather all of the remaining bodies so we could give them a respectful and peaceful burial. Let their bodies rest in peace.
"Don't cry (y/n). Please don't cry. I don't like seeing people I care about cry," Diae says in her tears hugging me. I pet her head snuggling her close to my chest.
"I'll be fine. I'm sorry I don't mean to make you cry," I said in a low voice trying to comfort her.
I sigh shaking my head. I pull away from her. I wipe the tears from her face with a smile on my face.
"Diae I need you to do something for me."
"Hm? What is it?"
"I need you to not tell a soul what I am about to tell you okay. Can you promise me that?"
"Of course! Kai says I am really good at keeping secrets."
I chuckle at her sudden change of mood as I kiss the top of her head.
"I need to go and find a dungeon. I have to move forward. Promise me that no matter what... you won't tell them," I told her.
"You're going to leave me?" The tears swell up in here ruby red eyes again.
"Yes but I promise to return back to you."
"You promise?"
"Yes I promise you Diae."
"You have to come back!"
"Mhm..." I nod to her. She pouts trying to hold her tears back as she hugs me again.
"Please come back to me," She cried.
"I will come back to you one day. Be a strong and beautiful young woman. Keep all of them in track. Don't let any of those guys stray. Okay?"
"Yes," She said through her tears. I pull her away a little and rummage around inside my bag. I pull out a necklace with aquamarine stone. She stared at it in awe. Her tear ruby eyes were wide from how it shined.
"As a parting gift. This is for you. Wear it always and look up at the stars at night if you ever miss me," I place the necklace around her neck as I kiss her forehead. She looks down at the necklace in awe. She held the bright blue stone in her hand.
"Thank you..." She suddenly goes silent looking up from where I was once sitting only to find me not there anymore. I quickly and silently used my magic to leave there quickly.
I keep leaving such caring people... but I will come back to them.
Once I have accomplished what I had in mind first...
I am sorry. But I need to defeat a dungeon.
