Since Zarkon would be away for the day Sendak, Vrul and Kumo had the day off from training and could do whatever they wanted; in fact, everyone had the day off until later that evening. Lotor was with his governess for the day so he could learn a few things about his father's people and galra culture, it would be important for him to learn about both of his parents’ races before he graduated his basic education on Daibazaal and continued going to school on Altea. Kumo decided to go to the hot springs where she could relax while Vrul and some of his buddies went to the other side of the planet where they could get a little hunting practice in. As for Sendak, he just wanted to have a lazy day at the palace where he didn't have to do anything or go anywhere. The morning started out differently than most other mornings; everyone slept in, ate breakfast in their bedrooms and went off to do their own things.

(Y/n) was no exception to the lazy day, she decided to sleep in just like everyone else in the castle. As much as she enjoyed every day of her life in the alternate universe she ended up in and working in the galran palace on Daibazaal, sometimes she still enjoyed having the occasional day off from her daily duties. Sleeping in felt nice, but she eventually woke up on her own when she felt hungry and fully rested after having a good night's sleep. When the young woman eventually woke up she decided to just lay in bed, daydreaming of what she would do that day; whatever she did, she hoped that it would include hanging out with Sendak. Speaking of Sendak, he decided to go make himself some breakfast in the kitchen since even the kitchen staff were taking the day off.

It had been a while since Sendak made himself some breakfast, the kitchen staff kept everyone fed well, although luckily he still knew what he was doing. After having a look in the large fridge he settled on cooking some scrambled eggs since it was a simple dish to make, he even decided to make some for (Y/n) since he figured that she would be hungry and he wanted to do something nice for her. Sendak felt flustered and a little embarrassed when he remembered the previous week when he flirted with his human friend; he couldn't help himself at the time, she had smelled good to him, and thankfully she never brought it up afterwards. He definitely had a little crush on (Y/n), the only issue was that he felt it was too soon for him to begin courting her, that is if she even saw him as more than a friend. Cooking the eggs on the stove didn't take very long, although Sendak realized that he hadn't seen (Y/n) anywhere which meant that she was still in her room.

Before he left the kitchen, Sendak put the two plates of scrambled eggs in the food warmer, he would be sure to wash the dishes after he and (Y/n) ate breakfast together so the kitchen staff wouldn't have to. He felt excited to finally eat a meal alone with her, it would give him the opportunity to attempt to guess how she felt about him based on her body language. On the way to (Y/n's) bedroom he greeted some of the staff and one of the older palace guards, all of whom were also enjoying having a lazy day. By the time Sendak was almost at his destination, (Y/n) was getting changed out of her pajamas; with the thick curtains closed and the lights turned on she could walk around her room completely naked, unfortunately something very terrible would happen before she could finish putting her bra on. Sendak was so excited to eat breakfast with (Y/n) that he completely forgot to knock on her door before opening it, and the first thing he was met with was the sight of a very naked human woman; as soon as her bedroom door opened (Y/n) turned to see who decided to enter her room without knocking, she was shocked when she saw Sendak.

“H-hey! G-get out!” (Y/n) yelped while she tried her best to cover herself, feeling angry and embarrassed because her crush walked into her room unannounced while she was in the middle of getting dressed.

“M-my apologies.” Sendak apologized as politely as he could as he quickly left her room, making sure to close the door all the way; he felt stupid for not knocking first and he felt an undying sense of shame when he saw (Y/n) naked, even though it had only been for a few seconds, on his way back to the kitchen he hoped that she would be able to forgive him.

(Y/n) couldn't believe that Sendak just walked in on her like that; he did genuinely look as though he regretted walking in without knocking first, she figured that he simply forgot and didn't intend to walk in on her changing, but things between them would certainly be awkward for a while. She needed to take a few moments to process what happened before she started getting dressed again, the whole situation was just so shocking. While (Y/n) chose which outfit she wanted to wear, Sendak headed back towards the kitchen so that he could at least eat breakfast before he washed the dishes. As far as he was aware Kumo already left so she could go to the hot springs, although on the way to the kitchen Sendak crossed paths with Vrul. Sendak wasn't in the mood to be teased and he hoped that Vrul would mind his own business, alas luck wasn't on his side that day.

“What happened to you? You look as though you saw something.” Vrul questioned when he stopped Sendak so they could have a quick chat; judging by the expression on Sendak's face he knew that something definitely happened, but he didn't know what.

“I- I would rather not talk about it.” Sendak muttered, still ashamed of himself for unintentionally barging in on (Y/n).

“Something happened, didn't it? Wait, did you walk in on someone?” Vrul pondered, knowing that nothing else could have made his friend act so embarrassed.

“I said that I would rather not discuss it.” Sendak responded as he averted his gaze, not wanting to make eye contact with Vrul.

“You did! Let's see... Kumo already left the palace, you wouldn't walk in on any of the staff and Lotor is away with his governess. It was (Y/n), wasn't it?” Vurl contemplated before he figured it out all on his own, letting out a short laugh after he guessed correctly.

“I didn't mean to! I- I just wanted to see if she-” Sendak began before Vrul cut him off before he could finish speaking.

“Oh, I bet you did. How much did you get lucky enough to see?” Vrul jested with a laugh, even though he felt a little jealous of his friend.

“I never meant to walk in on her and I didn't stay long enough to see much because I respect (Y/n)!” Sendak snapped before he stormed off towards the kitchen; he already felt bad enough for walking in on (Y/n), and he didn't want to discuss it any further.

Vrul was surprised by Sendak's outburst, so he decided to just continue on his way before it was too late for him to enjoy his lazy day. On his way back to the kitchen, Sendak decided to leave a note for (Y/n) on the door of the food warmer so that everyone knew the plate of scrambled eggs were hers, then he decided to go hang out with Haxus at their favorite hangout place. He felt disappointed that he wouldn't be able to hang out with (Y/n), but after what happened he wasn't sure if she would want to hang out with him or not. Sendak ate breakfast and washed the dishes, then he left a note for (Y/n) to discover so that she could eat a warm breakfast; he hadn't seen Haxus for a while, so he couldn't wait to see him again. When (Y/n) eventually emerged from her bedroom and went to the kitchen, she found the plate of scrambled eggs and decided to leave a thank-you note on Sendak's door; she would have the rest of the day to goof off, although she knew things between them would be awkward for a while.

Zarkon came home shortly before dinnertime; everyone had a nice lazy day, but they knew that life would go back to normal for a while. As always, he asked Lotor about how his day went because as a father he wanted to hear what his son wanted to tell him so badly. Kumo and Vrul chatted with each other about what they did that day and how much fun they had, and yet no one noticed how quiet (Y/n) and Sendak were nor did they notice how they weren't talking to each other. (Y/n) wasn't angry at Sendak for walking in on her, it was an accident, but things between them would still be awkward for a while; she occasionally glanced at him and he glanced at her every so often, but not once did they make eye contact. At some point after Lotor finished telling his father about his day he noticed how Sendak and (Y/n) weren't talking to each other, which was highly unusual because they were always interacting with each other in one way or another.

“Father, why aren't (Y/n) and Sendak talking to each other?” Lotor quietly asked his father with pure curiosity.

“I don't know. Why don't you ask them?” Zarkon answered with an equally quiet tone; he didn't notice that (Y/n) and Sendak weren't speaking or even looking at each other until his son pointed it out, it was strange to see them avoiding each other.

“Alright. Sendak, why aren't you and (Y/n) talking to each other? Did you two have a fight?” Lotor whispered before he looked at Sendak and (Y/n), speaking loudly enough for them to hear him.

“We didn't get into a fight, there was just a little incident this morning.” Sendak replied, trying to speak as normally as possible as the memory of (Y/n) being naked flashed through his mind; he was glad that he had fur covering his face, otherwise his blush would have been visible.

“An incident? Was it anything serious?” Zarkon questioned, immediately becoming concerned as soon as Sendak said there had been an incident.

“It wasn't much of a big deal, I would rather not talk about it.” Sendak responded as he lowered his ears in embarrassment, assuring Zarkon that the incident wasn't anything to be worried about.

“Not much of a big deal? You saw (Y/n) n- You're right, it wasn't much of a big deal.” Vrul began to say until he saw Sendak giving him a death glare; he might have enjoyed messing with his friends from time to time, but even he knew when he was about to go too far.

Zarkon wasn't sure what to think at first, then it dawned on him of what happened; the exact same thing happened to him and Honerva back when he was courting her and eventually they got married, he hoped the same outcome would happen to Sendak and (Y/n). Lotor wanted to know what happened between (Y/n) and Sendak, but all Zarkon told him was that he would tell him when he was older. Kumo already knew what happened earlier because Vrul already told her about it; she felt bad for (Y/n), but she thought it was sweet how Sendak apologized and left a plate of scrambled eggs for her in the food warmer. Sendak remembered the note he found on his door from (Y/n), he was grateful that she wasn't mad at him for his fopah. Things between Sendak and (Y/n) would eventually get back to normal, but until then they would give each other some space.
