Zatt POV:

Had Petro not been assigned to that mission to Onderon, I swear the amount of pain I would have put him through as payback would have been never-ending. Kit has not stopped teasing me since he overheard Petro's snarky remark about my so-called "crush" on Ganodi. Why should my best friend escape my wrath because he is on another planet? It reminds me I should wake up Sleeping Beauty before the Chancellor's arrival. Now that I think about it, I should probably warn her about Petro's teasing. I hope that if Petro teases either of us again, it will not lead to a disaster.

Ganodi POV:

I coughed to recover the sensation of my throat almost being crushed from the inside. The tremendous pain transpiring through my body was immobilising me on the cold floor. The wind howled reminding me of how high and unsafe I stood. I remembered I had to be strong and suddenly felt incredibly frightened as I opened my eyes.

My eyes widened at what I saw.

Zatt was on his knees with someone right behind him, choking him with their arm. Zatt was holding onto their elbow, trying to pull them away. He quickly realized there was no use and looked at me, glancing over his shoulder at his assailant while saying something I could not hear. 

My heart dropped as I witnessed Zatt pushing himself backwards, falling off the edge and taking the man with him.

"ZAAAAAATTT!!!"

"ZATT!!"

"WOAW!?" 

I heard a loud thump as I glimpsed Zatt falling on my couch with his legs in the air as he caught the cup of tea that almost rolled off the small table.

He looked annoyed, noticing my amused expression. Thank the Force, my skin turning green of embarrassment is the same as a blush glow. Otherwise, it would be even worse for me right now.

Thankfully, Zatt quickly got himself out of his position, sarcastically saying.

"I am not even going to ask how you knew it was me."

I was confused for a second before remembering I yelled his name after seeing him fall to his death in my nightmare. As I turned my head away in fear, I remembered what I had been doing, hoping to change the subject.

"I was... checking the Chancellor's schedule for the festival."

"Sorry for waking you up." I blushed as he adjusted his robe, making me regret the sudden admiration for his muscular chest. "I wanted to warn you about Petro."

I gasped and took a serious tone while joking.

"Oh, by Ashla, what did he do this time?"

We both laughed, remembering all the pranks Petro put us in and the trouble that came with them.

"Nothing!" He smiled. "It's what he thinks I want to warn you about-"

My commlink rang. I lifted my finger, interrupting him as I said.

"Keep that for later."

The Chancellor had just arrived on Naboo. We had to join her escort as she met with the Queen. We quickly hurried and joined Petro and Katooni as Katooni introduced us.

"Your Excellencies. This is Padawan Ganodi Ranos and Padawan Zatt Kostus. They have come to secure Naboo before your arrival."

"It is a pleasure to meet both of you." Said Padme Amidala. "Katooni and Petro told me a lot about the two of you." I did not notice Zatt giving Petro a death stare. "I suppose the Jedi Council will be here shortly?"

"Actually. I said, you're early: the Council will only arrive tomorrow."

The Queen stepped up to lead Padme away. "If you will do the honour to follow me."

Katooni and I embraced each other while Zatt and Petro observed the group walk away. My comlink rang again. I turned to Zatt.

"It is the guards I sent to secure the palace; they said they found something unusual and want us to check it out."

Zatt nodded, causing both of us to miss the subtle wink Petro gave Katooni, who mouthed something to him with a silly smirk.

"You know, started Katooni, you guys have been working all day. Go and rest! Petro and I can handle it."

Petro's eyebrows lifted as he hissed his response machiavelic.

"Yeees." Petro gave Zatt an evil smile before he turned to talk to me. 

What is going on?

"You know Chancellor Amidala told us her planet's landscapes are to die for, Ganodi! And Zatt complained that he was too busy to visit it. This could be a great opportunity. You two could visit together, am I right?"

"Oh! Yes." Continued Katooni, mimicking Petro's knowing behaviour. "I heard that the waterfalls are breathtaking. You should see for yourselves. It will be like a date!"

A DATE!?   Katooni! 

I cannot describe how green I must have been. Zatt took a deep breath and answered calmly.

"Yeah, sure. Replied, Zatt. It will be a nice trip, we won't be long. It is only noon. We will be back before we know it."

As he left to find a speeder, Katooni eagerly waved at me to follow him. Petro clearly contained his laughter. Katooni! You BACKSTABBING B-
