Sakura's POV

It's been a year...............

It's been a year since we lost her......

Her memories with us are still fresh.. Seems like she's here for like yesterday..

I can't even handle the fact that she's already gone.. I thought it's only a dream.........

It's raining..

I didn't stood up from the grass where she is.

"You'll catch a cold and you know, she will scold me if that happens" I heard someone said behind me. I looked above and I saw that she's sharing her umbrella with me.

"W-what did she do to d-deserve this?" I asked her.

She also sat beside me. "Shh, she's in a proper place now. Everything will come to an end, but her's was early. Maybe she's just watching us today and laughing at us because we're crying when in fact it's raining. We even bought a cake for her to eat. Someday we'll see her again" she patted my back.

I smiled and looked at her. She's right!  A time will come and we'll reunite with her.

"Let's go?" she asked while ruining my hair.

"Ahh stop it! Let's go now" I held her hand and we walked towards the car.

Flashback about what happened a year ago:

After 3 hours..........

"Where are the patient's family?" the doctor went out of the ER.

Chaeyeon's parents went near the doctor including Sakura.

"The patient is now stable. Good thing it's only minor injuries but the bone in her right arm is fractured since it was the part that had received the impact. She's now resting. You can come inside" the doctor smiled and lend his hand for a shake.

"Thank you very much doc!" Chaeyeon's dad accepted the doctor's hand.  Sakura in the other hand, sighed with relief.

They all went inside the room. They saw Chaeyeon with a bandage in her head while her arm has a support in it.

The scratches and wounds in her body are visible.

"Thank God, she's okay" Sakura hugged Chaeyeon's mom.

"I'm sorry Mom. It's my fault, I should've protect her" Sakura sobbed while still hugging Chaeyeon's mom.

"Shh, it's not your fault. She's okay now" Chaeyeon's mom patted Sakura's back.

Yena on the other hand, was busy checking her phone if Hyewon replied.

"Yena, did Hyewon replied?" Eunbi asked.

Yena looked at her with a sad face which means that Hyewon hasn't.

*kringg krinnggg

Cake Monster calling.........

Yena feel relieved. She looked at the members and said "Hyewon is calling..!"

The members paid their attentions to Yena.

[Hello?]

Yena wondered because Hyewon's voice was not the one who talked in the other line.

'Yes? Where is the owner of this phone?'

[Is this a friend of the victim? I'm Chief Insp. Veniel Scott]

'What?! What victim are you talking about sir?'

Yena's heart started to beat fast. She's scared and she doesn't even know why. The members are just looking at her.

[I'm sorry to say that she was shot in the ******* hotel. I've recovered her phone and decided to call a person who knows this girl. She's in a hospital near the hotel right now.]

Yena's tears flowed out. The members we're looking at her with a scared and confused expressions since they doesn't know about what's going on.

'H- hyewon w- was s- shot' she looked at the members who were shock.

"K- kangchan.." Sakura loss her energy so she fell on the floor, still shocked about what she had heard.

"She's in the h-hospital right now. Let's go." Yena said to the members.

"What happened?" Chaeyeon's mom asked.

"H- hyewon was s-shot Mrs. Mom. We need to go in there now but we'll be back" Yena said. Chaeyeon's mom nodded her head while displaying a concerned face.

Today was the worst day of their lives. Two of their friends are suffering in the hospitals. How could time be so cruel? making them experience being unlucky and unfortunate at the same time.

The girls went out and immediately called for a cab.

After a long ride, they stopped infront of  the hospital which the chief inspector told them.

They went to the registrar.

"W-what is the room number of patient Kang Hyewon?" Sakura immediately asked.

"The one who was brought earlier miss?"  the registrar asked.

"She's in room 146" they ran towards the room where Hyewon is.

They've opened the door but only a nurse who's cleaning the room is left in there.

There was no Hyewon inside.

"E-excuse me, where's the p-patient in this r-room?" Yena stutterly asked.

Right now, they're limiting their breaths. All of them are scared.

"She's already in the morgue miss" the nurse replied.

They were all shocked. They didn't move for a while trying to figure out if they're only dreaming.

Sobs were already heard within them.

They went into the morgue and there, they saw a body, covered with white cloth and is lying in a thin steel bed.

They broke into tears upon pulling the blanket.

Hyewon's lips were already white, her eyes are closed and her body is already cold.

she's gone.

"K-kangchan... w-why? I-I'm sorry. I- I'm sorry I w-wasn't there to h-help you" Sakura cried while caressing Hyewon's hair.

"P-please wake up. I s-till didn't f-fulfill what I h-had promised. A p-promise to b-buy you the l-largest c-cake that y-you w-will e-ever see" Yena said while still crying.

"H- hyewon unnie. You p-promised to b-buy pringles for me r-right? P-please do it for m-me now, p-please w-wake up. Pleassee" they cried even more upon hearing the voice of their youngest member Wonyoung, who is trying to wake Hyewon up.

They still can't handle the fact that their cake monster, their pretty rapper and their third mom is already gone.

* a week after*

Chaeyeon finally recovered a bit. Hearing the news about Hyewon, she forced herself to stand up and see her remains.

"H-hyewon. I n-never knew that you d-did this. I p-promise to c-catch that h-heartless p-person who did t-this to y-you. I w-will t-take care of S-sakura for you, I p-promise" Chaeyeon said wiping her tears while looking at the jar where the cremated body is.

After the burial of Hyewon, they received a call from the police station about the cctv footage inside the room where the incident happened.

All of them were shock about what they had just seen. They can't believe that Yunjin was the one behind it.

They can't stop theirselves from crying because they're witnessing the act where Hyewon punished the guy and defended Chaeyeon. They also witnessed how she was killed.

The police told them that the culprit is already in a psychiatric hospital. They imprison her upon responding when they heard the two loud gun shots. The police also said that the culprit has lost her sanity.

After the Dean heard the incidents, he immediately called the girls to come back. They agreed to continue their promotions after two years.

The rain had finally stopped. The sun was seen for it's sunset.

We're here infront of the sea, sitting on the sand while watching the sunset.

"Are you okay now Kkura?" Chaeyeon asked while putting her arms around my shoulder.

"Sort of, maybe?" I rested my head in her shoulder.

"Hmm I'll sing you a song" she suddenly said.

I embraced her and listened.

I always needed time on my own

She hugged me. My tears flowed out because of the way she sang the song.

"Please don't cry Kkura. It hurts seeing you cry. I'm here now, let's start again. Let's make happy memories together. I love you" she said cupping my face.

She wiped my tears.

She then kissed my forehead down to my nose.

I closed my eyes as we owned each other's lips.

I really love this girl who I am with. Let's start all over again Chaeyeon.
Starting today...
