▪️11 - Broken▪️
[Daun's POV]
"Big brother!~" I exclaimed as I shook his body for him to wake up.
My big brother groaned as he squeezed his eyes and covered his eyes using his arm. "Daun, let me rest for a bit..." He muttered, making me pout sadly.
"You promised, remember?" I reminded him. "That today, we're going to hang out together? Just the two of us?" I stated, with my lips quivering.
I heard my big brother sighed deeply as he sat up from his bed and looked at me with his drowsy eyes.
He yawned and asked, "What time is it anyway?"
"Four in the morning." I stated, smiling sheepishly while pointing at his alarm clock.
My big brother's jaw dropped in disbelief. "Are you serious, Daun!?" He exclaimed. "You wake me up around four in the morning!?" He asked, slightly irritated.
Terrified from my big brother's response, I lowered my head down in guilt, feeling ashamed of myself.
"I'm sorry..." I whispered softly while staring down at the cold, wooden floor with full of shame.
"I'm just afraid that you might forget what we'd promised yesterday..." I sighed sadly. "Afraid that you've already forgotten about me..."
Then, I felt a hand gently cupped my face and slowly lifted my head up, making me face my big brother's brown eyes.
"I won't forget my promise to you, Daun..." He calmly said.
"I'm just surprised that you're already awake this early in the morning and, I could see that you're excited for the two of us to hang out, but..." He chuckled softly. "It's too early, Daun. Maybe, do you want to sleep with me instead for a while just to pass time?" He asked, smiling afterwards.
I smiled back and gave a nod in response. "Okay!" I immediately took off my shoes and climbed up on my big brother's bed, laying down beside him afterwards.
"Is it still okay for me to say, 'Goodnight', even though it's morning right now?" I asked.
I heard my big brother chuckled slightly. "Just go to sleep, Daun."
I giggled softly. Slowly, I closed my eyes as I peacefully drifted off to sleep.

"Big brother Petir! Come on, come on, come on! Let's go!" The leaf element cheerfully said, jumping playfully while waiting for his big brother to exit the house.
"Stay safe, okay boys?" Their mother said as the lightning element went out of the house. "And make sure to come home before sunset." She reminded, making the two boys nodded in response.
"We will, Mom! Bye!" The two elemental brothers said in unison, bidding their farewells to their mother and started their time together.
=+=+=+=
Peacefully, the two elemental brothers walked together, not minding where their feet will take them but, as long as they have each other.
But, the little leaf manipulator wasn't satisfied with their time together...
Why?
Tap! Tap! Tap!
His lightning elemental big brother was using his phone, texting someone through the said gadget all throughout their journey.
The leaf element whined as he looked at his eldest sibling. "Big brother..." He called his attention, glancing at the phone of his big brother then back at him while frowning.
"Huh? Oh..." Petir immediately turned his phone off and shoved it inside the pocket of his jacket, smiling sheepishly afterwards. "I'm sorry." He said, scratching the back of his head nervously.
Daun let out a heavy sigh. "To be honest, today, I'm not really enjoying our bonding time together..." He stated, pouting.
His big brother furrowed his eyebrows as he glanced at the leaf element. "What do you..." He paused as he caught something at the corner of his eye, making him look somewhere else.
He then spotted two figures who were very familiar to him, making him smile widely and ran swiftly towards them.
"Air! Cahaya!" He shouted, trying to get the attention of his two friends which he successfully did.
"Hey Petir!" His friends greeted, waving at their hands at the lightning element.
"How are ya doing, bro?" The light element asked as both him and the lightning element did their secret handshake together.
"I'm fine." Petir replied, grinning with both of his hands shoved inside his pockets.
The lightning element and his friends then started chatting, enjoying each other's company.
The leaf element on the other hand, was staring at his big brother with his friends from afar in disbelief and disappointment. His heart sunk at the sight of it.
"I was right...You are happy..." He mumbled to himself.
"....even without me..."
Daun lowered his head as a tear escaped from his chocolate, brown eyes, which he quickly wiped it off.
'I guess promises are made to be broken after all...' He thought as he walked to a nearby bench on the park and sat down in silence, staring down at the ground.
The leaf element sobbed quietly as he let all the tears fall down from his eyes.
'What happened to the promise you made, big brother...?'
The nature element tried calming himself by staring at the clouds moving from the blue sky. Somehow, this made him felt relieved and relaxed for a moment just by looking at every white, puffy clouds in which, he could shaped some figures from it.
Not for long, two boys- with same ages as Daun's- approached the leaf element.
"Hey there!" One boy with a red cap and sleeveless shirt said as he smiled cheekily, making the leaf element caught his attention.
"I'm Api. And this is my friend, Angin!" The red-capped boy, whose name was Api, introduced as he made gestures while introducing.
"Hi!" The boy with blue cap and blue sweatshirt named Angin, cheerfully said, waving his hand lively as ever.
"What's your name?" Api asked, with his hands clasped together behind his back.
"Daun." The leaf element replied in a monotonous voice.
"Daun? Woah! You also have a cool and unique name!" Angin said, smiling gleefully at Daun.
"Hey Daun!" Api called, making the leaf element turned to look at the red-capped boy.
"Wanna be friends?"
The question made the leaf element stunned. He couldn't believe it. After all these years, someone finally wanted to be friends with him.
In fact, it was his first time having friends. He haven't had any friends in the past. Truthfully, he only had his big brother that time. But, ever since his big brother had friends, he'd never felt so lonely, so alone. He even felt envy about his big brother having some friends who were now already close with him.
Indeed, he didn't want his big brother to change at all. He'd already loved him the way he was before. But, since his big brother was already at his teenage years, everything about him- his lifestyle, how he thinks, what he wanted in life, how he acts- would really change.
'I guess it's time for me to change too...'
Daun sighed deeply and gave the two boys a small smile.
"Sure."
The two boys smiled widely and wrapped their arms around the leaf element. "Welcome to the brotherhood, Daun!" They said joyously in unison. The nature element let out a slight chuckle.
"So, let's walk around together? Just the three of us?" The blue-capped boy suggested, making Api nodded his head repeatedly in excitement while for Daun, he bit his lower lip and remained silent.
"Umm...." The leaf element slowly glanced at his big brother- who was still having fun with his friends- gloomily.
