I'm Not The Person You Know...
(Gold's POV)
I wake up and then realize that the dream is over.
There's a war in his world... the Gold in that world...
Then I get up, return my Pokemon, and walk over to my... burned house.
The plaque is still there.
That reminds me... when my father left.
It all started on a regular, normal day.
I woke up and then walk downstairs to have some nice food.
Then I saw my father walking out the door, with a lot of things packed up.
"Where are you going, dad?" I asked.
He gives me one look and then leaves.
Then I spot my mother, sitting at the table, crying into her hands.
"Mom!" I said as I ran up to her, "Where's dad going?"
She gave me a look and then cried some more.
"Mom?" I said.
"GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM, GOLD!" She said, "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"
I was shocked.
I walked up to my room, tears falling out.
That was the last time I cried... at least until... those past events...
Then days passed and then I realized... that my father wasn't coming back.
See, I wasn't always a pervert, breeder, and a guy who always smiled.
No, I was this quiet kid who just wanted to be the best Pokemon Trainer.
But I knew... I HAD to be strong for my mother.
Then I met the other dex holders.
My friends... they needed someone to keep on smiling.
I couldn't be innocent anymore.
I made up a quote of my own, "Just keep on smiling, no matter the situation."
That message has stuck with me to this day.
My friends don't know who I really am.
They were shocked to see me cry on top of Mt. Silver; That's because they never knew me.
...
I never planned on becoming a breeder.
So I had to go ahead and actually be a breeder.
That made me miserable.
Not the fact that it was so much work... but the fact that sometimes I worked so hard to hatch those eggs... only to find the Pokemon have reached their end... before it officially began.
I remember something.
I fly to Lavender Town and then enter the Pokemon Tower.
I keep walking up the stairs, skipping floors until I get to the one I have to visit.
I walk up to some of the tombstones.
This is where the Pokemon who's lives were lost in my hands.
Then I remember something that made the dark aura come back.
People always say that breeding's easy.
It's not.
I learned that the bad way.
Staring at those tombstones hurt.
I calm down and the dark aura disappears.
I remember something worse now.
After I lost my voice, my friends have been saying I've changed.
Even Crys.
They're right...
I wish things can just... get back to normal.
I'd have my voice, I could fake being myself.
But no... I can't.
I can't even face the other dex holders until I take down Ariana.
I'll do whatever it takes... so I can see my friends again.
To be continued...
