Dennis and Jacob were taken to the hospital. The police found Evans dead and her death was ruled an animal attack. And Luna was found dead on her hammock. The dead werewolves were gone, so were the rest of them. They were gone because their leader didn't allow them to stay in the human world nor take Luna's body with them. Her reason was that her human father was going to need to see her. He was not going to believe she was dead and all he needed was to see her to believe it.

Dennis, Jacob and Rudy stood by the fresh graves. Jacob's eyes were red from the endless crying he had done since he got the news of his daughter's death. That night Lilac came into his hospital room and thanked him for everything he had done for her daughter. She also apologized for not being able to help him with her. Rudy was still crying, not a week had gone by and he had lost his best friend and his mother. His stepfather was home drunk off of his ass. Dennis was grieving his princess' death and the death of Rudy's mother.

"I'm sorry." Dennis gave his condolences to Rudy.

"It's ok." He smiled with sadness in his eyes. "How are you holding up?" Dennis looked confused. "I mean, wasn't she your girlfriend?" Dennis shook his head. "Didn't you like her or something?" Dennis shook his head again. "Then who do you like then? Dennis leaned close to his face. He could feel his breaths against his. He had an irresistible urge to close the little space between them, to kiss him.

"I like someone but i don't think that someone likes me back. He moved even closer, their lips brushing against each other. Rudy was yearning for his lips but he moved away leaving him to be next to jacob who was still mourning his daughter.
