"You're a formidable opponent. I'll give you that," Vulture stood his ground as he faced Dabi. His wings were hidden and the only feathers showing circled him defensively.
"Why is it that you continue to fight me?" Dabi smirked. "Seems like you want to live." Vulture growled.
"I WANT TO DIE!" he yelled. "Please! My existence is torture enough!" A tear rolls down his cheek. "I want to be released..."
"Then allow me the honor of doing so," Dabi dashes towards the winged villain and creates a wall of flames to surround them. Vulture flinches, but lowers his guard once the flames have protected them from view.
Dabi opened his arms and pulled him into his embrace. Vulture removed his mask and looked at it sadly.
"I know it's for my own good, but," Hawks smiled sadly. "I'm going to miss Vulture. Even if was just for a short time, I felt like I understood your pain." Dabi just held the winged hero. He knew everything was going to be fine from here on out.
"You ready?" he asked as he reached into his pocket.
"Ready when you are."

"Today the public can rest easy as the Winged Villain: Vulture is no longer a threat. He was killed in a fight with the League's Dabi. His whereabouts are currently unknown, but knowing that one villain has been put to rest is enough to put everyone's mind at ease."
Dabi clicked the remote to turn off the TV and looked down at Hawks. The pro was gently sleeping against his chest. His entire body was relaxed; more relaxed than it had been in days.
Thanks to Compress' help, they were able to plant a decoy body for Dabi to incinerate and safely escape from harm. Hawks was so exhausted from all of it that he passed out almost as soon as they got home.
Without disturbing him, Dabi gently stood up and carried Hawks into the bedroom. He laid him down and adjusted the covers before laying down next to him. He wrapped an arm around his boyfriend and pulled him closer so that he was warm.
Hawks snuggled into him and wrapped a wing around the villain. He released a relaxed sigh and his body seemed to relax even more. Dabi smiled and gently kissed his head before falling asleep himself.
